Reviews of Hilton London Canary Wharf 4*

This is first class hotel, the rooms are a good size and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The Hotel has good transport links and is located less than 50 yards from DLR south quay station which gives access to both the city and central London in under 20 minutes. Definitely one of the better Hilton hotels in London

I've been going to this hotel for the last 4 years for the MCM comic con and I've never been disappointed. All the staff are friendly and easy to talk and as you can imagine it must be strange to talk to anything from a superhero to a creep clown from day to day. The rooms are all was spotless. I highly recommend this hotel over most in the area and look forward to returning next May for the next Comic-Con.

Mark S.

Very decent hotel. Came here to use one of the meeting rooms and must say I wasn’t disappointed. The events team made our stay special and everything was well laid out and prepared for the day. Happy us! Recommended.

Love, love this hotel! This was our first visit to London the area is very family friendly. And the staff were amazing. Very clean rooms enough space for all four of us. (Two adults two kids) Its nicely located lots of stores and train near. We would most defiantly stay here again. Oh and we got to take advantage of the executive level and that was wonderful we saved a lot because that. Great place hands down

Modern and simple hotel with executive lounge, easy access to the city, nice views and welcoming staff. Rates being much lower on weekends, lounge can get very crowded and understaffed. Gym is small but has full range of free weights and “core-bags”, two changing rooms, sauna and steam room. Restaurant closes 10pm, but has good range of meals when open. Staff is multi national. Two different phone staff did not understand the term “turn-down” service. Rooms are spacious, but there are no power outlets next to bed, the lightning in bathrooms is horrible and toilets cannot be flushed with the lid open. We also had problem with our bill — the booked rate has changed into a higher rate on final bill, so one needs to check for errors. Housekeeping does a perfect job and executive lounge staff are very responsive, well trained and hospitable

The Hotel is well located in the middle of the Canary Wharf business center. Very spacious and well laid rooms and they are all close to the lifts (which is an issue I faced in other Hiltons around London). I used their breakfast bar as well as their room service for dinner. They offer a good variety at breakfast with a nice Omelet bar and a good range of both hot and cold items. The dinner came in reasonable time, tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented. What really stands out is the staff — very helpful and keen to provide an excellent service. Many thanks

Came here for afternoon tea, staff were lovely! Amazing afternoon tea! Toilets were so clean and some of the best one's I've been in! In a lovely location as well. Enjoyed it a lot! View is amazing as well!

Thilo D.

We liked the slightly remote location. Not that busy but everything you need nearby. Including public transportation.
Big plus is the breakfast. British style. You can order your custom omelette. Very delicious.
The room had a good size. Very modern and stylish. Also very clean. The inner yard view on the other hand was not that exciting.
Staff was very friendly.
We enjoyed our time there and would stay here again If we came back to London.

Angela E.

Wonderful service. The were kind enough to accommodante me even when funky booked. The tea was good. I really enjoyed myself

+ In our case: good value for money + in modern, clean neighbourhood + u — and S-Bahn station quickly reachable + triple room + very friendly staff + all Clean + use of the fitness room included in the price + very large Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice + toiletries provided in bathroom + free Wi-Fi + room accessible via several elevators + air-conditioned rooms — room windows (by double discs as noise protection) not öffenbar — no pool/swimming pool available

Leon B.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Fab upgrade for being a HH member. Room super spacious, comfortable and modern. Bar and restaurant food also excellent. Courteous and respectful service you'd expect from a Hilton. More of this please Hilton!

Irantzu R.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views from the business lounge are great

Mario H.

Perfect hotel in London. We loved our stay here. Arriving from the London City airport it is an easy travel by DLR train to South Quay station. From there a short 2 min. Walk to the hotel. The warm welcome of the hotel staff was very nice … friendly with a smile. Our room was really nice. There is an executive lounge for drinks. The hotel is, thanks to a footbridge in walking distance of Canary Wharf. Making it an easy access point for London while enjoying the comfort of this part of London. Love to come back.

Jonathan P.

We had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel. The executive rooms are very big and comfortable. Executive lounge is also a nice place to grab coffee and other light bites, our only disappointment was during the evening drinks. Even though we had advised well in advance of our dietary restrictions, we were surprised to be presented with 5 tiny bowls of very plain salad. This is not the service I'd expect when the lounge and restaurant staff had plenty of time to prepare something a little more imaginative than a simple bowl of salad. While other people in the lounge feasted on plates piled high with meat, we left the lounge very hungry.

Mark D.

Check in was fast and efficient and staff friendly. We requested vegan options in the club lounge before we arrived and were assured options would be available. The room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. The club lounge attempted to provide some vegan options: afternoon tea's was great whilst later with event drinks there was only a very small simple salad. Breakfast was great with a large selection of food to meet at tastes.

Matthias K.

The hotel is okay. Well located, great service but price performance does not go together. The equipment is already too old. It could use a renovation and new bedding. My recommendation: The Novotel around the corner.

Charlotte S.

We had a lovely New Year's break at this Hilton. The decor was lovely and festive and the customer service really was superb. We had requested a Thames view room so that we could see the fireworks but when we arrived the room was facing the wrong way. Chet at reception was fantastic in relocating us to a more suitable room and gave us his card in case we needed anything further. The room was perfect and we had a great view of the fireworks, so all-in-all it was a fantastic stay. The only negative is that there is no pool or spa or any other amenities to speak of beyond a gym and steam room, but there is plenty to do arround canary wharf so we had more than enough to keep us busy.

Dieter G.

All in all, everything was to our satisfaction. Breakfast and service at breakfast very accommodating. Receptionist were also very helpful. Room was clean, only the TVs were used a bit. One has Rückelbild other big scratches on the screen.
Executive Lounge was crowded between the holidays and despite helpful staff there was no room there.
Tube, Jubilie line, or DLR or bus is right there. Easy to get to the city. For public transport is the cheapest Travelcard to use. Children up to 11 years drive free of charge. Do not draw a card for the child, come with mom or dad (thanks to friendly tube staff)

Very nice room with ample space. The breakfast was great. There was a huge buffet of omelettes and tons of sweet treats. If you wanted, you could also order a delicious waffle. Just great.

Jordi A.

Nice place and well located. The service is good.

Becky O.

Lovely afternoon tea. Enjoyed the area done up to look like a ski lodge. Staff very helpful. Quiet and serene ambience.

Marc T.

This hotel made my birthday very special. My partner mentioned that it was my birthday and we discovered champagne, balloons and cake in our room. Thank you to all the staff that we interacted with you were all brilliant. We often visit London and with service like we received we will stay here again and again.

William R. R.

Loved! We just came back from London. We loved this hotel. Very clean, big room, comfy and well located. Great breakfast options, friendly staff. I highly recommend it whatever reason you're going to London. Only a weird thing: we came back to our room after breakfast and housekeeper was in the room to clean it, we still had a few hours to check out and she didn't bother at all. She cleaned the room while we were there. I didn't complain about to anyone. But it was veeeryyy weird.

Paulina W.

Great location close to underground station. Very clean and nice place. Good price. Good size room. Highest standard. Highly recommend!

Olivier L.

Excellent Hotel, clean, nice with a very good service.

Junwoo L.

A neat and modern hotel with reasonably large rooms. Location is very convenient in terms of shopping, dining, and transportation. Gym is well equipped but closes at 10pm, so late arrival may miss some sweat time. This entire area is bustling with new construction and shops, making general atmosphere very lively. Do not expect classic London-like feeling around… it's rather Wall Street feeling.

Thomas F.

Excellent in every respect so far. Efficient check — in, room is large, clean and well equipped with decent section of teas, 24hr room service limited but food arrived quickly and was hot and enjoyable. Location very good too — close to Canary Wharf station and finance centre.

Mohamad H.

Efficient check in and out. Clean with good beds and pillows. Bathrooms are a little on the small side (normal rooms) but overal sufficient. Nice location within minutes from restaurants and other attractions.

Suzy D.

A lovely hotel with staff that were attentive and made stay a pleasure. Breakfast had a large selection and was excellent. Gym facility was better than most hotel gyms with a good weights selection and 3 different types of cardio machines. Room was large with a very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

Sara M.

Very helpful and kind, breakfast yummy

Karen W.

Lovely hotel. Nice room. Lovely breakfast. Nice staff. It's so good you don't need to change a thing.

Francois C.

Not far from the center of London, 4 star hotel and who deserves it. It was a very good breakfast.

James K.

Neat, tidy, did the job. Breakfast was good and the evening meal was well presented and executed. Fitness centre is well equipped. One negative, in keeping with many hotels nowadays, no toilet brush. There were a couple of odd/quirky things that a helpful and cheerful staff helped us get past.

Szilvia H.

It was a great experience! Courtesy and professionalism of the staff was truly appreciated by the whole family. Great food, impeccable cleanliness. Back!

Dominique S.

Another great Hilton. Our room was gorgeous and had a wonderful view. The staff were also professional and polite.

Tafadzwa M.

Overall, very happy with our stay, very good location within zone one. Our room was a very good size plus we were greeted with a personalised message from room service. They were very hospitable and we enjoyed our stay.

Ian P.

Ideal location for concert at the O2 being just 1 stop on the Jubilee line. Also well placed for central London via public transport. Not the most scenic of areas, but that's Docklands in general and no slight on this hotel. Great choice of drinks and snacks in the executive lounge and excellent range of food for breakfast in the main restaurant. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Room well maintained and clean, could have just done with a bit more water pressure in the shower.

Jonathan P.

We stayed at the Hilton for one night and the hotel was lovely. We had access to the executive lounge and had requested vegan options in advance. The hotel ensured that options were available and it was apricated. All too often even now places don't often understand the difference with vegetarian and vegan. Would definitely use this hotel again in the future

Michael B.

For years, very large rooms, well insulated Windows, Breakfast Hilton = amazing!, Access to LCY is excellent

Sabine W.

Very modern and beautiful area set up in the Bar. Very nice staff and good coffee. The environment is great even if much of it is built. To stroll along the canals is gorgeous.

Loriana L.

Very nice, other than British style. Very new and modern and pleasant because it lies along the river.

Esther H.

Modern Hotel in a Central location in London Canary Wharf. Very attentive Service. Rooms well equipped and large. We had a room to the rear. As a result, it was very quiet. Breakfast was also great. Full English with everything the heart desires. To foot no 10 minutes to Canada Square, with Canary Wharf DLR, Shopping Malls, and connection to the Jubilee Line Wharf. With it are 20 mins to Bond Street in the West end.

Florin S.

Amazing location, professional staff that been so helpfull too. There was a charge for the carpark, however it was very convinient and easy to access it. Thank you

Ant F.

2 night stay in a junior suite with access to the exec lounge. Fantastic. Really nice location, friendly staff. Close to jubilee line and a nice stroll along the Thames made this stay a really nice weekend.

Jonny R.

The hotel is in a great location if you are working in Canary Wharf and the rooms are very comfortable with a nice bathroom. Negatives were lack of plug socket near bed to charge phone and they forgot to give me the free Financial Times they had promised on check in.

Kobirul A.

Very competitive price and close proximity to Canary Wharf. Rooms are good size and bathrooms very adequate. Breakfast was slightly disappointing. Overall very friendly and would use again.

Tony S.

A well decorated and lit bar with friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. A good place for a drink.

John B.

Wonderful hotel. Great rooms and a lovely breakfast.

Giovanni C.

Nice large comfortable rooms. Only problem it was a bit cold and the heating wasn't very effective.

First study, study abroad, staying at Hilton London Canary hotel, bus, pushing a trolley case, the entrance to the hotel, the first feeling is blinded eyes. Into the hotel lobby, decoration style, people would enjoy. Buffet breakfast the next day, variety, brush brush into two dishes, one more Cup of coffee, a glass of milk, it is cool to the extreme! Hope to staying at this hotel again!

Sarah R.

Location was brilliant for event and for things to do around. Rooms were a brilliant standard and had everything required. Service and food could not be faulted.

Kaine P.

Stayed for new years eve as was in London for the fireworks and I couldn't fault the staff in the slightest. Very helpful and friendly, check in was quick and easy and room was spotless. Booked the romance package and my partner was really impressed and happy with it. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if staying in London and would recommend to anyone.

I phoned and booked a table for the 13th December and told them it was for my mums 90th birthday so l was annoyed to find benches round the table when we arrived, but did get a chair for her after l asked. There were seven of us using Groupon Vouchers for a main meal and three other family members who were going to choose from the main menu. None of us wanted a starter as we were going to have a desert. We waited over an hour for our food to be served which was mainly rib-eye steak (very nice) and sea bass the fries took another ten minutes with the pepper sauce arriving at the end of the meal. The sea bass was lovely but had nearly finished our meal before my mums mash potato and her vegetables turned up, l know restaurants like to serve vegetables al'dente but this selection was very hard, l was given the wrong salad with the right one turning up at the end of the meal. One of the family ordered a bacon cheeseburger that arrived without the bacon and cheese but with a bap that was not toasted but felt like it had been taken out of the fridge . We were all very disappointed and did not want to bother with desert Our waiter did his best running backwards and forwards to the kitchen while other members of staff were just standing around. One other came over to hep him when they realized things were going wrong The part of the family that ordered from the main menu were told that they would not be charged for there meal.

Pranjal B.

Really large rooms. Great location! Everything is easily accessible.

Rory S.

After requesting additional pillows (received) for a broken leg, we arrived with the bathroom smelling of cigarette smoke. The common lift area had an industrial fan operating because the ice machine smelt mouldy & damp. This is now our third visit to this hotel who's service & standard has gradually deteteriated. Ambulant guests should go else where, step over bath & shower stool provide were poor. Finally, the hotel almost doubling the rate for Sunday night is terrible, especially being an Ambulant guest. We will never stay here again. Additionally, they have a wheelchair for use inside the hotel only, and are unaware if canary wharf shops have a chair for use even though the are 200m away!

Darren J.

Helpful, polite staff, all good.

Mick T.

Excellent evening rooms large and very clean. Breakfast plenty. I would recommend.

Sven L.

Worst service ever. Reception was very unfriendly, everything costs a lot of money (even the foreseen water bottle on your room) Restaurant was terrible value for money. Only upside was the bar personnel which kept the bar open after hours for us.

Mark W.

Fantastic location, lovely bars and restaurants nearby including a little shopping mall that joins on to the DLR station. The hotel lobby was nice and modern looking, check in was very quick and easy staff were extremely helpful. The room was great bed was very comfy. We didnt have a view of anything but another part of the building however we didnt mind this at all. Ordered room service which came promptly and was well worth the prices you pay in this area of London.

Billy S.

Great place and awesome staff.

Andy M.

Currently at the hotel where we have been made very welcome. The staff have assisted in making our time here easy as one of our sons is on crutches. As things are we are happy as we get ready to watch the UCI track championships.

Chris B.

The Hilton canary wharf is situated in the financial district just a few minutes walk from canary wharf underground station with hand links to the DLR and Jubilee lines. First impressions are average the outside of the building is a grey rather bland looking building but these thoughts soon perish once through the door. Upon arrival you are greeted by a nice modern interior and friendly bubbly staff although it can take a moment to grab there attention in order to check in. The room's: Upon walking through the door first thoughts are "what a lovely room" Decent sized bathroom and a rather modern décor to the room. Unfortunately this is where it ends staying on the second floor facing the DLR is not a room I was comfortable in. Staying in this hotel for 2 days meant no natural light coming into the room as you are pretty much at eye level with the DLR trains meaning ZERO privacy. These rooms would benefit greatly from better sound proofing and also one way glass giving the guests the privacy they expect in any hotel room. Breakfast: Sadly I was left VERY DISAPPOINTED not only by the layout which in my opinion needs a complete re think (Some tables are very awkward to be sat at as you have people bumbling past every few seconds) Also the food was in my opinion worse than even a motorway service station!

Ma S.

We used this hotel recently for a work event and I have to say I was very impressed. We received a very good level of customer service and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was very nice, surroundings were attractive, clean and relaxed but with a business atmosphere too. The location is very handy too as it's right by the South Quay DLR station.

Adam D.

I stayed here with my girlfriend during the London marathon. We really liked our room, which was a great size, very comfortable and very stylish. We were impressed by the breakfast as well. Although there is a nice restaurant beside the hotel and close to train stops, there isn't too much to do in the surrounding area (very much the financial district, so a bit dead on the weekend). Our only real complaint with this hotel was that we thought the wireless fee was a bit much and the connection kept dropping. I would definitely stay here again if I decided to run the marathon again.

April A.

It's been a few years (2008), but this was our "landing" hotel when we arrived in London from the USA. Exhausted. And they treated us warmly and welcomed us. Our rooms were quiet with lovely views toward downtown London. Outstanding executive lounge and outstanding executive lounge breakfast and outstanding service from the bottom floor to the top.

Jean H.

The hotel all in all is recommended. The rooms are huge for Londonenr hotels. We had 2 connecting rooms next to each other. Initially, only one was ready for occupancy, until the second was finished some phone calls and visits at the front desk had to be carried out, but it was still okay and at first not so important to us. For our son, there was a Schokomilchschake at the expense of the housekeeper therefore.
What I found not so great: the mail request to the connecting rooms could not be guaranteed me, so we had to up the check in shake, whether it works. An extra bed for a child in the room of the parents is probably not provided despite massive space. The DLR driving right by our window. Otherwise Loob for staff, which makes non-bureaucratic decisions and not too crowded breakfast room with enough staff, although weekend and announcements that it could possibly off be full at 9. I will book again at competitive prices. Why were so many German seniors at Hotel ;-).
