The Hilton canary wharf is situated in the financial district just a few minutes walk from canary wharf underground station with hand links to the DLR and Jubilee lines. First impressions are average the outside of the building is a grey rather bland looking building but these thoughts soon perish once through the door. Upon arrival you are greeted by a nice modern interior and friendly bubbly staff although it can take a moment to grab there attention in order to check in. The room's: Upon walking through the door first thoughts are "what a lovely room" Decent sized bathroom and a rather modern décor to the room. Unfortunately this is where it ends staying on the second floor facing the DLR is not a room I was comfortable in. Staying in this hotel for 2 days meant no natural light coming into the room as you are pretty much at eye level with the DLR trains meaning ZERO privacy. These rooms would benefit greatly from better sound proofing and also one way glass giving the guests the privacy they expect in any hotel room. Breakfast: Sadly I was left VERY DISAPPOINTED not only by the layout which in my opinion needs a complete re think (Some tables are very awkward to be sat at as you have people bumbling past every few seconds) Also the food was in my opinion worse than even a motorway service station! Flavourless bacon which was clearly cooked long before I arrived no sausages available as they where still in the oven cooking (This shows a total lack of observation to the trays) The tomatoes simply grilled with zero seasoning or even a trickle of skill and the mushrooms where ruined by the total lack of flavour. I stayed for 2 nights and on a B&B basis I attended breakfast once and was left appalled. Nights sleep: Unfortunately on night 1 my night was interrupted by noisy guests at past 1 am screaming for help to get away from a "man" After a few guests shouted at him all settled down but you would of thought the hotel would attract a better clientèle Secondly the DLR and work done at night is rather intrusive on the second floor so again more sound proofing needed. Check out: Swift as I used the quick check out option Would I stay again: After staying in several Hilton hotels around the world I would have to say no. I know of cheaper and much more comfortable hotels in the same area. Room: 212 Dates stayed 30/05/14 — 01/05/14.
