Good hotel in a great location. The reception needs a desk, but the bar is Confiteor enough, the food is fine and the is plenty of other food in the area. The rooms are spacious and the shower is plenty strong and hot enough. Would stay again.

Really nice hotel in the city centre of London. The stuff was very courteous. The room was absolutely okay for one night. The bathroom was clean and there was a hairdryer. The AC was a bit to 'weak' for the hot summer.

Modern hotel, but in my opinion a little dirty and reduced services to the bone, such as a single towel for shower and sink, you understand that drying your face and the c-o with the same towel is not the best. Super Internet. Update the review: this morning I find a new zozza surprise both cups provided with the room present residues of previous use. Crystallized coffee grounds one and edges with old coffee the other. Dirty and dirty. And I'm forced to relapse my dose, on the dirt, last night it was hot I decided to turn on the air conditioning. The first thing that catches the eye is the 60s thermostat after which I notice that the air is not cold and that for years no one does maintenance to clean the filters and the plant.

Very nice hotel as well as its staff which is very welcoming day and night hearty breakfast just like the dishes offered in the evening.

Very basic Level Although at least they are quite new the rooms. The service is good despite not having reception. Informal Roll. Expensive for what it is, but I guess it's what you expect in London. Metro Stop 20 metres. Good food from the restaurant. I Didn't try the breakfast but it's not cheap.

Not bad for a quick overnight business trip. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfy. I ate solo in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The food was the only left down, I had chicken from the special menu which tasted like something frozen you'd expect from Captain Birdseye. The beer was good though.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bus stop is just outside the hotel and subway right around the corner. Great restaurants and pubs nearby. Great experience overall.

The hotel is very well located, near to the City, the Tower of London and London Bridge. The staff is nice and polite. The room has everything you need. I would recommend it.

Shares same theme of decoration as other Ibis hotels. No reception desk. Rather staff with reception shirts. Not sure it is such a good idea. When busy if you don't know the system you can spend a lot of time looking for a non existent desk. More gimmick than innovation.

Staff were very friendly, checking in and out didn't take too long. Close to a few good markets and places to eat and drink. Room was ok, bed was good. Fast elevators.

Modern hotel, quiet, functional rooms and spacious enough. There is a small supermarket just 30 meters from the hotel, useful for fast races and with an important hourly amplitude. 5 or 6 restaurants nearby at about 200 m.

Very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent. Good quality room. Maybe he'd miss an extra towel per person.

The hotel is well suited for a short stay if you are traveling the whole day to visit the city. The room and bathroom are clean. There is a TV with few German programs. In the room well there is a kettle for tea. Breakfast is manageable. There is no cutout or ordinary buns.

It has very good location and connection to any pubto of London, plus the customer service has been for me the most remarkable for providing always a lot of things.

If you are looking for a decent, clean, well located hotel room at an affordable price, the Ibis is a good alternative to Air B&B.

Great hotel because they have refurbished. With a 24h bar and restaurant. This is ok similar to the breakfast. You should not forget that it is a 3 star hotel. But for weekend trips it is the perfect hotel… good price, super Super location with the subway outside the door. So whether it's London City Airport or Heathrow you're going to be great here. Also a Tesco next to it. For London, this hotel is my choice.

This is the third time we've been here. Small, comfortable room, very well run hotel, full breakfast and located at departures from 2 metro lines. Finally, affordable rooms for two-and-a-five children. In the middle of a nice neighborhood in total reconstruction. We haven't found anything better yet.

Good hotel and good value. I do love the downstairs lounge and bar areas, fun place to meet people to sit around and have a few beers in a casual relaxed environment before going out to other restaurants or bars in the area. Close to Brick Lane and some great restaurants love the big open market down the road as well — good location all in all.

We stayed 4 nights, impeccable, excellent treatment, very good team of workers and very good restoration, thank you very much for making us so nice stay.

It's OK I guess. Room is basic, clean and tidy. You might call the style trendy, but it looks like an IKEA showroom house built by committee. The hipsters doing check-in were efficient, if unengaging, with very strong accents making it difficult to hear what they were saying. The facilities in the room are functional, but nothing special and the bed is comfortable but short if, like me you are north of six foot tall. That is no worse than almost any other hotel though. Location is very good, with easy access to Underground and Brick Lane.

Functional and handy little hotel near the office… I don't recommend their breakfast though, I've never been a fan of poor quality almost grey looking scrambled eggs and barely warm bacon. Plus the krypton factor test they put you through in trying to work out where the plates and cutlery all are (clue. Nowhere near the food or where you'd think or even together! ) is a bit bonkers in fact the only positive thing and that is actually served hot is the coffee.

Very well placed but in works on the 2nd floor so a bit of a hassle to reach his room. The location was very nice and the breakfast was very good.

We had a very good, spacious, modern and clean rooms and very courteous staff. The location allows you to visit a nice area of London, very youthful. It is close to a Metro stop for quick links and is also close to pubs and restaurants. Recommended a ride to the Old Spitalfields Market!

Nice and unconventional Hotel (no reception)! Which made check in and check out very agile.

The location of the place is great: right next to the tube and minutes away from great dining/going out on Brick Lane. However, I really don't like this "hip" no-reception style layout in the lobby: just some people with an iPhone nowadays? Why? The reception is not recognizable as such. Staff was friendly though. Worst however was the awful stuffy air in the hallways and the rooms. Although we were in January, it was like a sauna inside and the windows couldn't be properly opened. Even worse: the airco unit could only blow hot air as well. The bathroom also didn't have any connection to ventilation whatsoever and wasn't very clean. Definitely not the standard I'm used to with Ibis. For the rest, the place should get a 3-4 star rating IMHO, but you cannot let people sleep in stuffy warm air like that. Hence: a 2-star rating.

It seems totally business oriented. With Repecto to individuals I noticed a significant worsening, regarding my previous stay.

Nice Hotel in the City. The rooms are very small It is a 4 star but it is worth as a 3 star.

Hotel of good standard, I recommend it for young people and families, being of modern conception (the reception is itinerant, the rooms are to measure of couple, there are posters and writings on the walls). Spotless, quiet, but the real feature is that it is located on the Aldgate East stop which is in the heart of the City and a stone's throw from Brick Lane (shopping area and popular youth clubs).

Very friendly staff, unfortunately not fully refurbished yet. For a hotel The restaurant is very good and also inexpensive. Generally the hotel for London and the location in my opinion is very inexpensive. The underground is really right around the corner and there are several buses in front of the door. Some restaurants and a supermarket, which is open until 11pm, are just outside the door.
To Heathrow is unfortunately it takes a good hour with the underground.
I would go there again and again.

A perfect stay at the Hotel Ibis London City!
The reception, at the unusual reception (because there is no reception desk as it is usual, but the staff welcome the guests in the lobby. So the check-in/-out is held at small tables with comfortable armchairs) was very, very friendly.
The very friendly staff made me a Christmas present by giving me a quiet double room that turned off the street. It was really a nice, quiet and clean room where I didn't miss anything. A kettle and coffee/tea was in the room. So I could already drink one or two coffees in the morning.
Also the bathroom was very clean and quite adequate. The only thing you will find (but in all GB so) in vain in the bathroom is an outlet for the hair dryer. Why is that?
The hotel is in a clean, well-kept condition and in the integrated restaurant there is good food and can be comfortably seated. I, too, belonging to the older generation, felt comfortable here.
Because of the good central location and public transport, I booked in this hotel, although I had some concerns, it says in the description though: "The hotel is especially popular among young people". Today I know – my concerns were completely superfluous. The 60 + generation can also stay here without hesitation. Not only did I sleep very well, but – as well as in this hotel, I had not felt for a long time. At any time I will book this hotel again.

The hotel is nice and quiet, the staff is very friendly. The room is comfortable and well equipped with TV shower and toilet, tray with tea coffee, electric kettle. The bedding is good, I had a great night and a nice stay. To advise.

I was meant to write this review a while ago, but life! My friend and I come to this hotel very regularly to use the dining area. In all of our time of going ANDREA has been the BEST member of staff that we've come across. Very kind and professional. She deserves a raise as she provides such excellent service. Had a great stay here. Free fast internet, late checkout, comfy beds and really helpful staff. The lounge area is also very nice. The only downside was the pipework in the wall next to room was rather loud sometimes.

Room was nice but the bathroom was creepy as hell. I would of thought that this was a hospital covert. I would not return. Also no iron in the room which was very disappointing.

Top 3 Star hotel… Absolute recommendation.

The hotel is good for a short business trip, nicely centrally located and priced Reasonable. The breakfast was OK and the rooms simple but clean. There is free Wi-Fi and a kettle in the Room. The choice of German TV programs could be bigger, but thanks to WLAN was no problem.

Very good location near the City. Very clean and attentive staff. Only downsides: The soundproofing of the rooms with the outside and the breakfast not very varied.
Half board very friendly and nice when you are tired in the evening to avoid coming out…

The hotel has a great location, the underground station and a grocery store are right next to it. Breakfast is nothing special but delicious.
The traffic from outside is still quite noisy in the room to Hear.
The beds are not really suitable for people with back problems and I feel they are quite uncomfortable.
The plastic bathroom is in need of getting used.
But it's really all clean and tidy.

It's a good hotel. Much better than other hotels in London. Very well located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. To put something negative I think I should have something else to store clothes in the closet because, for a week's stay, the cupboard is short.

Agile and friendly at the front desk and quick checkin, even before hours. Small room but with the indispensable. Some items such as shaving kit or cold drinks are missing. Right restaurant, but something dark. Excellent location in the City.

We enjoyed our stay. It's not the usual part of London for us to stay but we were going to a party near London Bridge so chose the Ibis. Everything about the hotel and our room was very good and we would recommend the hotel to others. If there was one thing the hotel could do easily to significantly improve the guest experience it would be to provide proper fluffy bath towels. The ones in our room were cheap and much too small. It is a silly thing that probably saves very little money but is instantly noticeable.

Lovely spacious and very clean room with everything you might need. We especially appreciated the tea making facilities. Very friendly staff and easy check in and check out. Location couldn't be better, right next to the tube station and withing walking distance of Spitalfields. We are already contemplating our next stay!

Really nice Ibis hotel with the right Style. The renovated rooms are equipped with quite comfortable beds and offer many clever ideas for the use of the limited space. The bathroom is ibis-typically a cabin like in a ship, but clean and big enough for 3 Stars. One is in the middle of the city: construction noise and sirens are unfortunately part of it, but fortunately the Windows swallow much of the Noise. For light sleepers, It is best to bring earplugs. From September onwards, the air conditioning is in winter mode and only heats after two people have showered and blow-dried, it is still very warm.

Nice staff, always ready to inquire. Clean hotel, room with good bedding close to the metro and bus station, excellent Intercontinental breakfast. I recommend it.

A very well located hotel in a living area, 2mn from the metro station.
The room is nicely decorated, quite spacious and comfortable bedding. The plastic bathroom is the only downside.

Generally one of the best stays in London. For example the shower was great and the breakfast was delicious too. Some minor problems witnessed that could be improved. The lift was a bit of a joke. I was unable to use the lift in three occasions, probably a faulty card. Please ensure that this is checked before you dispose these to the visitors. Secondly on attending breakfast I was questioned as to if I had paid for breakfast. That is fine but a bit of irrelevant questions were asked later on like ' I do not understand '. It did not bother me but can be irritating for customers who had already given the account number! Can the workers check who has paid before asking? That would avoid asking so many irrelevant questions.

Stayed for a couple nights here. Hotel is looking great after the refurbishment. All clean and new. Service was great. Check in perfect and breakfast and bar staff very good. Location is perfect. Next to Aldgate East tube so you can be in city centre in next to no time.

The members of the staff were nice and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good in general, even if the section for cheese and ham didn't have variation. Food was well cooked and tasty. The location was very convenient, just next to the tube.

We often book at a hotel that belongs to the ACCORD group. We are often satisfied with the service. This time we had a few surprises:
1 — Air conditioner does not work the 1st night, no free room to change our room. We had a very comfortable night.
2 — Bathroom: gasket of broken shower door closure and not changed.
I would like to point out the warm welcome and responsiveness of the team that manages the hotel.

Very convenient to schedule every move in and out of town.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast very good and especially with high quality of food.
Two complaints arise from the lingering smell of dead water in the room and from a degradation and dirt present on the street in front of the Hotel.

Check-in was simple and efficient and our room was ready when we arrived. The room is basic but clean and sufficient for our stay, only down side being no hand towels? We thought it was an oversight but asked the room steward who could only provide bath towels and a shower mat! The hotel in general was fresh and modern and had a quiet ambience for such a busy area. We had arranged a late checkout which suited our travel plans perfectly. All in all we were very happy and would use again — but maybe we should consider bringing our own hand towels.

My room was so stinky that I asked to change rooms, not just the smell but the sheets were yellow and the shower dirty. The staff was very kind and immediately available, in a few minutes I was given another room. Unfortunately even these rooms did not have a pleasant smell although less than the other, the bathroom was clean but the sheets no so much that I preferred to sleep dressed over the bedspread. Luckily it was only two nights.

We were very well received and the service was spotless.
On the room there was nothing to say.
We were very pleased with the breakfast and also the bar.
Little Plus: The luggage care service, useful when you have to leave the room at 12:00 and the plane only leaves at night.

We enjoyed a 2 day stay in stylish rooms with nice views of some London landmarks close by. The Hotel is very fashionable and stylish, the breakfasts are served until 12 at weekends which is great for visitors enjoying the London nightlife and the breakfast spread was impressive. I would have liked to have seen more hot choice at breakfast with perhaps mushrooms and tomatoes added for a healthy balance. The bathroom 'pods' are certainly unusual and the doors sills slippy but easy to use and ample hot water. The check in service was very casual, quick and easy and the bar in the hotel open late and offered a decent choice. Some craft beers on draught or in cans/bottles would be a great addition however.

Really nice and trendy! It seems to enter the offices of Google, where every place, armchair and wallpaper has been studied retail! Breakfast is 10. £50 maybe a little pricey, but it's a pretty much a lunch buffet, you find everything from sweet to salty! The rooms are nice big, also the shower. Most important: Remember that we are in London, and the rooms in this case are very clean! Young staff (many Italians) did a bit of confusion with the bill at the end, but for the rest in the experience, I would go there again!

Had a good sleep, I asked for a quiet room, so had a view of the internal courtyard, but it was very quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful and friendly.

Not the best of rooms. Our's had a peculiar stink when we were in the room and later had to change it. But excellent restaurant and very convenient in terms of location. Literally just next to the aldgate east tube station and very close to liverpool street. Will definitely stay here again for a short weekend visit but not longer than 2 nights.

At 2 steps from the metro. The rooms are basic and clean. Gentilissino and multilingual staff. Good breakfast. Cheap cheerful saw London standards I would say 8.

Great place to stay when visiting London as a tourist. The tube-station is just around the corner and right next door is a Tesco Express. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in a double room on the 10th floor and we didn't hear any noise at all during our 3-nights stay. The breakfast is OK but not included in the price. There's a lot of good restaurants and breakfast places in the area so you don't have to eat at the hotel, althought there is a fully equipped restaurant and bar available. I recommend the Breakfast Club a few minutes withing walkning distance for a trendy breakfast instead of the breakfast buffet at the hotel. I will definitely stay at Ibis London City again.

The Ibis hotel is situated next to the Aldgate East Underground station. A functional hotel with, brightly lit clean rooms. It serves it's purpose as a budget hotel close to the City. Free Wi-Fi is available through out the hotel and the rooms are insulated against noise, although I still managed to hear the street noise. The shower temperature could be improved, but overall a reasonable stay.

Nice restaurant in the hotel. Decent price but nothing special. Rooms were basic but adequate. Good location. Rooms facing the back street were very quiet (which is amazing for the location! )

Well located, in the City and right next to the Aldgate tube station. Modern building with a rather simple, standard Ibis design. The rooms are plenty spacious, considering London standards, and mostly pleasant inside, aside from the odd plastic cabin bathroom, which to me looked like it could serve as a public toilet — — had this weird, disposable feeling. Breakfast was standard English and mostly tasty at that. Wi-Fi is free and worked very well, with download speeds easily in the 3-4MB/s range. Staff was very kind and helpful, though they did have some odd issue with my colleague checking out while his stay seemed to be actually missing from the system. There was a bit of confusion around it, but they resolved it to our benefit and we could head back home.

Rather inexpensive hotel. It is noticed also in the rooms. The shower and the toilet area are made of plastic and the rooms are decorated very completely. The breakfast is ok, but every morning the same typical English…

We have stayed here twice now, fantastic location and close to a tube station (Aldgate is the closest) Hotel is always clean, modern décor and staff are helpful — Highly recommend.

The good thing about the ibis is that you know that they are always decent hotels, rooms clean and new. Don't expect luxuries, but it has drier, SOAP, towels and even make you tea and coffee. For more.

I stay here once a month on business and I am extremely happy. The staff couldn't be lovelier and more helpful. The breakfast is always great. The room is always immaculate and very comfortable. Very good for the price.

The service and hotel was great but do not book the hotel via booking. Com — reserve now or pay now selection would make it clear what you are doing? We found that 'Pay Now' option we said £15. Completed all bank details etc to be told all done. Great. When we arrive we are told we need to pay? As its Christmas we had spent and ordered on our last pay day before the big day. So funds we not actually in that account. Very embarrassing when our card was declined. Manage to sort it all out. But advice is expect to pay whether you select 'Reserve Now' or 'Pay Now' why even bother having the option?

The hotel is ok for some nights. However, the restaurant is insufficient. Although service decorated but worse. You must get the Getränje at the bar itself and for the purchase of food, you have to wait long. The ordered salad with Turkey Breast Strips lasted 20 minutes, even though we were the only guests. Of course, the Turkey Breast was almost cold. Apparently she confessed to 10 min in the kitchen. Also the 9 £50 are for breakfast too much, especially since you must wait on the only two Kaffeeautmaten residing in operation. Only self service — also at the coffee.

Hotel 5/5 Room 4/5 Restaurant & Bar 5/5 Had a great 1-night business-trip stay at the Hotel Ibis London City. There was a bit of a queue at the reception to check-in, but the staff worked fast and efficiently to get everyone checked in quickly. The female receptionist was very cheery and helpful. Room was only 4/5 due to the extractor fan in my bathroom (Room 431) wasn't not working and the TV seemed to be faulty (either that, I couldn't work it, but I'm sure the TV wasn't working! ) The restaurant was top notch, good prices and excellent service (10/10 service from Clémence from Nantes — she deserves a gold star — she continuously smiled and had a great rapport with my colleague and I, as well as other guests) The bar was also a nice environment to be in. I would definitely consider staying here again.

This should be 1.5 stars. Most uncomfortable beds. Bathroom is prefabricated like a mobile home would be. Water constantly changes temperature and burns you then freezes you. Food is atrocious. And rates are jacked up during conference. £200.00 a night for the smallest most uncomfortable room. And the bar only takes cash. I will never stay here again.

The London City Ibis is a nice place to stay over whilst visiting, the rooms are fairly spacious (for London standards) and clean. The restaurant service is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The en suite bathroom are a little disappointing, being quite dull and uninspiring in there design.

We were two adults and a child of 11 years, we stayed in a triple room provided bed and breakfast and surprise! When you get to the hotel loaded you the breakfast of the child because according to them it wasn't within what I had reserved. Beware of misleading advertising, the information put bed and breakfast except paragraph buffet putting 2 and had put 3. Not helpful to use this chain a penalty ; (

Nickel home, Nice staff, domestic modern and cosy. Room not very big but perfect comfort of the beds. The top: Subway just next door.

I've stayed here a few times and have always found it to be clean and pleasant. It's a little impersonal but it is a large hotel so I suppose that is to be expected. However, when it comes to location it is perfect. Right next to Aldgate East Underground Station and 10 minutes walk to the Tower of London. So if you want a clean and central hotel then this is perfect.

Clean, affordable and easy to access from Liverpool Street where Standstedt Express terminates, Aldgate and Aldgate East. Nearby Shoreditch with Brick Lane, Tower Hill, Millenium Pier and Spitalfield Market. A good hotel for a city trip. Ask for a room with courtyard view if your prefer to stay more quiet. Stuff was always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the free offer of water with lemon and cucumber slices every time I came back to the hotel on sunny summer days. :-) Thanks!

Hotel very well located in the business centre of London and a short walk from Tower Bridge, metro station right downstairs that serves the main sightseeing places, very warm and clean room. Perfect for our London weekend.

Bell hotel, Central and clean. The advantages are over here. Expected, my girlfriend and I, in the lobby of the hotel the bus from the airport. We was told we couldn't sit there because "we bother all hotel" (? ) then while we were loading the phones before we left was taken off the current. Also we had the incessant presence of the look of the head staff, as if we were doing something bad (sitting on the couches in the entry). The employees are friendly, their heads almost rude.

Good. You get what you pay for and it does exactly what they say.

Hotel is ok for 2 stars really. Rooms small but clean. Sirens of the ambulance or police are to hear personally that has bothered me less clearly through closed window. Breakfast is not the hammer, sausages Bacon and beans but also baquett with sausage and croissants cereals, etc. Typical English and high of course There are to choose from. Subway right next to the hotel (30 metres).

There are no extra amenities for the Ibis London city hotel. Set your expectations for accommodations when in London. The hotel is clean, quiet with adequate rooms, no bathtub and the washroom was a cubicle like thing dropped into the room and raised from the floor. The room was soundproofed which is worth a mention. The buffet breakfast at £8.95 was all you can eat and worth a mention. The staff was quick and brought extra pillows and blankets when requested. There is no room service but you can order food and bring it up to your room. Tip: The fish and chips were delicious. Overall a good choice for a place to sleep at nite in E1 London city.

This hotel can't take the summer heat. AC not cold enough. Hotel is modern, clean and basic (small flat tv, kettle, coffee/tea), no safe in room. Lots of sirens blaring daily, night and day. Lucky we were tired everyday from walking.

Clean room and comfortable bed, bathroom small but practical. Free Wi-Fi is very easy. However missing a small table in the room to drop off a bag, a cell phone or simply write a card. The breakfast was very good and varied, the modern and comfortable lounge. We would appreciate a little more heat to the home and a little more diponiblilite of the staff for more information. However very good value for London. Close to excellent bus and metro stations.

Loved the hotel but the staff couldn't help us out with some things like directions or information on late night open items. The bar was very expensive but overall the hotel was clean and modern. I would go back just with a GPS.

Few locks away from The City, in the odd end of the neighborhood. But close to tube stations, service is good at reception, rooms are ok, bathrooms too small, not bad for the price they had a restaurant that looked nice but didnt had the chance to taste the food.

Central and Spartan — right next to a metro stop. Tower 10 minutes walk away. Bar and restaurant rather lower average (compared to London standards), for cheap breakfast buffet. Rooms clean and almost quiet (close window! ), but very Spartan (no safe, no fridge, simple plastic head). Recommended only for 2-3 Tagetripp. Regular price of 175 pounds total too expensive.

Booked this hotel two months before arrival Payment guaranteed by credit card. In the month of may is high season. So the hotel just sold my seats to others.
