The hotel is very clean, the staff is very nice, and the food at the restaurant is delicious. The room rates are very reasonable compared to other hotels in Richmond and I will stay again.

Easy to get to, not too dirty but housekeeping could pay a lil more attention to detail for the price. Overall, not bad. Had way worse.

Very disappointed! It was in need of major cleaning. Arrived late so we had to stay because we were tired from a 12 hour drive. Left first thing in the morning, didn’t bother to shower because it was so gross. Just got out for another day of long hours driving. So disappointed! However, the woman at the front desk, who received us, was very happy and friendly.

The room was spacious. I liked that the indoor pool water was warm.

This place was filthy, the hallways had crap and food all over the floors. The elevators were dirty and smelled like weed. The room was not horrible but needed some love, bathroom door was water damaged and the carpet was ripped up by the walls. Oh and the BEST part let me mention the huge cockroach my hubby found in the bathroom in the middle of the night… which lead to sleeping the rest of the night with the lights on.

This hotel has to be about the best I’ve stayed in! From the moment our tired bodies wandered in for our stay till we left the service was incredible. Mark was a breath of fresh air when we arrived from a long day of driving. Sal the manager was unbelievable as well. They were outstanding! The hotel itself was beautiful. This place was a 4 star all the way around. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You were the pot of gold at the end of a very long week/drive.

Vending needs to be on all floors, not just lobby. Television signal is horrible, analog? Really. Broken room phone, refrigerator set to freezing. It was not even an ok stay.

Our stay was easy, pleasant, clean, and accommodating. Our family needed a jump to get back to the place where they were staying and our jumper cables weren't working. At 11:00 on a Sunday night, I walked into the lobby to ask if the hotel had any on hand, and the gentleman at the front desk took me around the hotel with him, asking all the other employees if they had any on their cars. Tonya, the bartender on this particular night, left her post to check her car for me. Thanks to the incredibly helpful staff, our night was saved. Our room was exceptionally clean. The location was great. We encountered no problem. We will stay here any time we are back in town.

Great hotel! Staff — was easy to deal with and check in was fast. Rooms — are clean and the beds are comfortable. Pool — was one of my favorite spots at this hotel. We had a great time here at Four Points. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The service was excellent and friendly. The wall mounted A/C unit in my room was very loud, but it did it's job well. I was a little surprised that the breakfast was not included in the bill for the room, given the fact that, although this is in the Sheraton family of hotel chains, I've stayed at numerous "economical" hotels that were just as luxurious, and offered free breakfast of equivalent quality. Overall, it's a nice hotel that has done a good job of updating it's style and amenities in keeping with the current trend. I just want my "free" breakfast. The two sausage patties and scoop of eggs didn't cost $14

It was a nice hotel, the best thing about it was the bathroom and shower. It was amazing. What I hope for is drawer to put things in and a little softer bed. They had a microwave and refrigerator included which was a nice plus. Some of the staff was friendly with a smile and s good attitude and helpful. What I didn't like is they allowed people to smoke in the front entrance of hotel where you sit or enter in the hotel. This isn't a good practice for respiratory individuals with asthmatic problems, etc. Otherwise it's a quite like hotel.

Would be a 5 star if it had a little decor in building. There is beautiful landscape, very friendly personnel, & great food. They need live easy listening smooth jazz in club and change out single chair in rooms to pull out love seat and hotel would be a 5 star rated. I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton and moved to the Sheraton @4 point Richmond. The staff at Four Point are more Friendly, Accommodating, and personal. A beautiful grounds less strict rules and a nicer pool. Jacobi, at the front desk, was very helpful, friendly, and sold us on the move from the Hilton. He was super nice. All the staff were very friendly, so I rate this Hotel a.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is not the most luxurious SPG hotel… But given it's prices, that's fine. It's about what you'd expect from a low-end SPG brand hotel. Rooms were spacious and felt a little bit homey. The building/rooms look a little on the older side, so not a very modern look and feel. Overall the experience was good, and if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, this place is what you're looking for.

My family and I stayed here to attend my nieces H. S. Graduation. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The buffet breakfast was filling, but equivalent to a continental breakfast at most hotel. Definitely, would stay here again when the opportunity presents itself.

The Four Seasons staff was very attentive and polite. The facility was clean and comfortable. I did eat here and the food was delicious. I was very pleased.

Hotel room was clean and had no odor. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only issue was the main lobby and elevator had a strong musky odor.

I've been here a few times for various reasons. Most recently I was here for an information session. The meeting room was a good size, could easily hold 150 people. The restroom was not very clean and I went prior to my meeting starting… so if there was an event there earlier you would think the restrooms wouldve been cleaned prior to the next event. I also came here for a conference a few years ago and there was breakfast and lunch served. From what I recall, everything was good. Usually bad things stick out, such as the one time I stayed here during a hurricane when all the power was out in the city. There was bottled water in the room which I naively thought was complimentary — considering we paid over 200 to stay here during a natural disaster! Prices were jacked sky high because they knew people were desperate. Checked out the next day and found out we were charged almost 10 bucks for the water! First and last time ever getting a room here.

I recently worked with this hotel for a Wedding that I was coordinating. And, everyone (the Events coordinators, front desk staff, set up crew, and of course the kitchen staff) was extremely accommodating. If every venue was this welcoming, weddings would always be a breeze! For anyone looking at accommodations I also toured the suites, and a standard room and they were in line with the Four Points model.

I really enjoyed this hotel and the view is spectacular.

Today's Luncheon of the Greater Southport Association was held @ Four Points By Sheraton on Midlothian Turnpike. Beautiful venue. Our speakers didn't notice Sandra & Joann as they glided through the tables. They went about their tasks with a smile delivering a well planned warm meal which was excellent (that Chocolate cake dessert was Wow! ) Can't wait for our next luncheon. Great job!

Nice hotel. They had an indoor/outdoor pool. Unfortunately the restaurant area into the conference area smelled like chlorine (overpowering). I don't think there's much they can do about it though. Besides that, it was good. Lots of geese outside at the pond. Nice setting and great staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the pool area, had a nice nightcap at the restaurant/bar. Good workout area and the grounds were very nice to walk with the water view. Had a few issues with the room when we arrived, but they were accommodating to get the issues resolved. Shower head continued to drip, hope they get that fixed soon.

This is my second time to stay at this hotel for work and my experience each time has been an okay one. Service: The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast is great and very quick. The bar tender was very friendly as well. My experiences with the front desk staff have been good for the most part. I did ask for assistance on booking transportation at 4:30 AM and needed some recommendations that I had a challenging time getting. Accommodations: One time my bed had something very odd under the sheets, like a knot of hair that never got removed with house keeping which did gross me out a bit. I had an issue with a shampoo pump, which I reported but never got fixed. I ended up getting a small travel size shampoo, which I was content with. Either than that, my room has been very clean which I appreciate. Parking: Plenty! No problem there Food: I have only had the breakfast which is good but for how expensive it is ($13.69/person) I would think they would switch it up just a little bit. Maybe Waffle Wednesday with a simple waffle bar to spice it up a bit.

Rooms were generally nice with very comfortable beds. Some of the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling and the wood at the bottom of the door was split, so that portion of the stay could use some renovations. The people at reception were kind and helpful. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel. Rooms are spacious, common areas are very nice. Water flow in showers was great, but toilets didn't seem to flush very well. Rooms were cleaned daily, restrooms could have used a little more attention to detail. Overall, good price and nice hotel. Convenient to amenities in the area and close to downtown.

The renovations that have been made really showcase the hotel. The atmosphere is very nice. The layout is modern and inviting. The hotel is very comfortable. I have enjoyed every stay. The staff is available, no matter the time, to assist with any of your needs. I would definitely stay again.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and what keeps me coming back is the wonderful, clean, unbelievably comfortable beds. The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities and they're clean and cozy. The restaurant bar is always open and the food is good. Staff are very accommodating and friendly BUT. It's all about that wonderful comfortable bed where you end up getting that much needed rest after a long day of travelling. Highly recommend.

Rooms were good size and clean. Shower had the most pressure I have ever had in a hotel. Food was very good and tasty. The breakfast buffet was great looking delicious.

Cute on the outside but poorly remodeled on the inside. Funky old smell in room and my TOILET did NOT flush. Customer service is mediocre and lack lustre. I don't plan on returning… DO WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY HERE.

My husband and I stayed here on our way back from visiting relatives for Thanksgiving. It was an impromptu visit because we'd been stuck in traffic for hours and wanted a night's rest before we continued. We both loved this hotel because the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Little details really make this experience great — in our bathroom we found a mini bottle of mouthwash and a pack of cotton balls with a nail file, herbal tea by the coffee maker, etc. I was thrilled to see the measures taken to protect the environment, like soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower, rather than disposable bottles. The only thing that wasn't A+ about our stay was the food in the restaurant. I was really excited about the menu which I read in the car on our way to the hotel, but my salad was underwhelming (iceberg lettuce instead of microgreens, and the raspberries were still frozen). My husband said his pulled pork sandwich was delicious, however. Overall, we had a fantastic day and a lovely night's rest in the super comfy bed.

It is an old hotel, but very well-maintained, and the personnel were friendly. We appreciated the dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, but the shower door should have opened from the back, not the front. The bed and chairs were very confortable. On the other hand, the radio, as usual in hotels, didn't work and the lack of a channel guide for the TV was annoying.

First thing I did when I got to my room was check for bed bugs. It's what I do. No bed bugs, which is great, however the bed skirt had several large, very noticeable stains on it. The white bedspread had a few small stains here and there and was worn looking. The bathroom was pretty clean for the most part except for in the corners there was dirt on the floor. Other than that, the bathroom was clean. During the night the people in the room next to me were having a party or something so after a few hours of their noise I finally got up to call the front desk. Well, the phone in my room didn't work. Picked it up, no dial tone. I looked behind the nightstand to see if it was connected, it was AND I discovered a bunch of dust. Anyway, phone didn't work so I had to Google the hotel on my cell phone to get their phone number. Called the front desk, they sent security up immediately and took care of my noisy neighbors. I slept peacefully the rest of the night. All in all the hotel wasn't great but wasn't horrible either.

I’m reading a lot negative comments about this hotel. We stayed for two nights and didn’t have any big problems, just minor issues, a missing bath mat one day. I also agree with another responder who said there was not much room to store clothes. There were no dressers, just a small closet. We stored our clothes in deep drawers in nightstands, but there wasn’t much room. The room was otherwise clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs. I do think the hotel could provide more easily accessible outlets for the many devices people carry while traveling. There are plenty of services nearby. The grounds are pleasant, and access to Midlothian Turnpike is easy.

Overall had a great time. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the restaurant, bar and staff. Only negative was the pool was so intensely cold it was painful getting near it. Even the "indoor" pool was like a fresh mountain stream.

Clean rooms. Attentive staff. Breakfast buffet was good, but I doubt I would have bought it with my own money. They seem to cater well to business travellers. They had food and a free small beer the day I was there.

One of the two elevators was broken all week, but they made time for fire alarm maintenance in stead. Completely booked with one elevator makes this place a mad house. Rooms were no better than a Motel Six. I will not be returning.

I stayed here while traveling for work. It's a nice hotel but not a great value for the price. The rooms are not sound proof so you'll hear everything your neighbors are doing. I paid extra for the best brews package that the website said included 2 craft beers each day but staff had no idea what I was talking about. I like the Starwood but I'd probably stay elsewhere if I was in the area again.

Good parking. Staff was friendly and its good how they allow dogs in the hotel rooms. The rooms were clean but are quite small and cramped.

Decent older hotel that has had some remodeling. Rooms are adequate, clean, sm refrig and microwave. Our bed was really squeaky however. Good water pressure in shower. Staff was nice and cordial. Nice grounds. Expensive restaurant.

Was there for a wedding. Everything was very nicely done and we had a great time. Would recommend this venue to anyone else.

Lobby was nice. Rooms were nice. Some staff were pleasant, others were not. We attended a nearby wedding and the father of the bride booked and paid for our hotel, or so he thought. Whomever took his reservation took his credit card number over the phone but when we arrived they said that the room was still unpaid. Apparently, it is policy to not take payment over the phone so it is not possible to pay for another person's hotel room in advance. Strange, but whatever. My concern is, why would you accept a credit card number over the phone if you are not able to take payment over the phone? Now where is that number saved in your system if you are incapable of taking phone payments? I'd be willing to bet that if he cancelled the reservation or we didn't show up that the hotel would have had no problem charging some sort of fee to his card without being present. To top of it all off, the father of the bride had to drive all the way up to the hotel to pay for the room in person after hosting his daughter's wedding when they needed to go rest. Certainly not happy with the situation. Ask yourself, how could any employer book a hotel for an employee or any similar scenario?

Room… Not bad. Customer service… Pretty good. 20 Dollar ppv makes you a two establishment. I mean are you kidding? They charge less at Disney resorts. Pretty disappointed since we love vegging out for the first day or so.

I have to say a not a good experience whatsoever. When I got there they claimed my Room was not ready even though it was passed Check-In time. They finally said they would give me a Room that was not what I but because again my Room was not ready. Got to my Room only to see that the bathroom had not been cleaned. I called down to let them know no one came up to fix it. Then the next morning when getting ready to take a shower noticed that there is no towels called down for tells never got them. Finally when checking out I figured that they would check on how my experience what's the girl with short rude did not ask how anything went proceeded to charge me then seemed inconvenienced because I asked for a receipt. I have to say that for paying almost $200 for a Room I would expect a little more, highly disappointed I'm hoping somebody reaches out to me to correct this horrible experience.

Excellent room plenty of parking, great fun in the pool inside and out & the best landscaping. V friendly staff. Food and the service is excellent. Free Wi-Fi. Great location to shop and dine.

Staying on a business trip and loving it. I had a small issue with my room and they quickly upgraded me and made my visit even better then what it was. Love it. And there indoor and out door pool is awesome. Breakfast buffet is top notch.

Its far from bad, the staff was nice and the hotel was clean. We had problems with both of our rooms but the staff was helpful and nice. There aren't any dressers to store your items in, but there is a small closet. Breakfast is not complementary, which doesn't make sense to me but oh well. The location is very nice and scenic, and the glass elevator reminds me of Hawaii. The only reason I knocked off a star is the lack of breakfast and clothing storage. But if you're looking for a nice clean modern pet friendly hotel this is the one.

I everybody to know what a super hotel this is. This is the first pet friendly hotel I have stayed at. I came to Richmond for my daughter wedding and I brought my dog with me. My dog was 15 years old. While I was staying at the hotel my dog pass away. The staff was so caring and they even sent me a card. They were the best. I will stay with them again.

This Four Points Sheraton has many good qualities. The rooms have a convenient layout, the pillows are large with varied densities, there are restaurants on site and nearby, the decor is nice, everything looks relatively new, and the TV selection includes 2 Showtime channels. The hotel has two major problems that lost a star for me. The $13 breakfast buffet is pretty much the common free breakfast you get at other hotels. The other issue is very important if you have children… the upper half of the shower water temp dial outputs scalding hot water. Be very careful.

Nice Hotel with a great atmosphere. Neat, clean rooms with a modern look. The pool area was very cool. I was disappointed I didn't have time to use it. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. I received a smile and hello from every employee I passed. Steve at the bar was a legend. Remembered me from the night before and had my drink of choice in front of me before I sat down. Highly recommended.

They don't tell the hotel is under major renovation when you book. Slooooooowww elevators, total lack of food and wine options on what they claim to be a full service restaurant, Understaffed, slow service. Maybe it will be better after the work is done but this was not worth the price. Overcooked, under seasoned burger and food service style fries. Thumbs down this time.

Beautifully newly renovated with an amazing atmosphere and great people. The food was delicious!

I am a travel nurse. I spoke to the hotel personally 3 times (4 if you count I spoke the rude night auditor twice) before coming. I explained I would be sleeping during the day, working by night. Not once was it ever mentioned that the hotel was under construction. When I checked in I was given a piece of paper stating they were under construction and the water would be off 10-2. No big deal because I figured I would be sleeping. Wrong. Construction was on the floor directly above me. From the moment I laid down at 930, because the phone in my room didn't work to call downstairs for service, all I heard was scrapping and banging above me. I called down several times and was told there was no other rooms I could go to and with my family coming that night none that would accomodate. I was told all rooms heard construction and it would be over by 5. Wrong! 8am and going strong. Back again at 8am both weekend days. No one slept. On the third day I requested to speak to the GM and got a supervisor. They comped one night explaining I could have left. That's ok. I am in town 3 nights a week for 13 and will be taking my money to the double tree!

The location of this hotel is extremely convenient. Parking is free, there's an Applebee's about a hundred yards from the hotel entrance, and you're only 15 minutes away from downtown Richmond. Just off the road that the hotel faces, there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars, and the mall is maybe 10 minutes away. The staff has been very friendly. Steve, the bartender is very knowledgeable about the area and happy to offer recommendations. The hotel is currently under renovation, but is operating smoothly. On Wednesday nights, there is free food and a free local craft beer sample. The elevators have a lovely Pentagon shape with glass overlooking the duck pond. We haven't been to the pool yet (it's December), but the pics of it on the website are stunning. It appears it can transform from an indoor pool to an outdoor pool by opening a huge glass folding wall. I would absolutely stay here again.

Rooms were nice and large, but the pillows were too soft. There is an Applebee's within the same parking lot if you like Applebee's.

Nice room. Wi-fi included and it worked. I'd probably give 3.5 stars instead of 4 if possible. Clean but not pristine, which I would prefer. Beds OK to good, but I'm super picky because I have a bad back.

This hotel is by far a joke of hotels. First, these "upgraded" "lake view" rooms just stare into a wall of trees. This "Upgraded" room doesnt even have a fridge, microwave, nothing… the coffee is disgusting, the water out of the sink was extrememly cloudy, and you have to pay extra for breakfast. This hotel is way over priced for what you get, you'd get a better deal and better amenities at a super 8. Will NOT recommended this hotel to anyone, nor will we EVER stay here again. Worst hotel expirience ever, and prices are not competitive with lower level hotel chains. Do not stay here, go to holiday inn.!

Wet floor and room smelled like human feces. Were told we could not switch rooms. Staff unprofessional.

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and have had a very good experience every time. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, the showers work well, there are walking paths around a lake and the staff are very friendly and acoomodating to needs.

Really great hotel. Was really flexible when we came in with a request to book an extra day on check-in. Front-desk staff was courteous, and the security guard even brought us coffee supplies during a late night, even though we just wanted to know if we could get some. Parking lot was clean, room was really nice, and the bed was super comfy. I feel that I didn't pay enough haha, it was a really nice 2 day stay. Only suggestion I have is why have a safe in the room, if it's not bolted down, and the safe is lightweight. But my laptop stayed with me at all times anyhow.

The smiling friendliness of the front desk staff is really welcoming after a long drive, and they are very responsive if you call down for, say, an extra blanket or help with Internet services. The food is surprisingly good and served with a smile and efficiency. We liked the grounds, which are attractive and well-maintained, with a small lake and a lot of grassy areas, unusual for such a commercial neighborhood. This hotel is very friendly, and when they say "pet-friendly" they do mean it.

A wreck in need of renovation. This may have been a decent hotel at one point in time, but not since it had gotten neglected by the management and trashed by the guests (or was it only my room)? The location looks OK on the map, but is really in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to see around, nowhere to eat close by. The lobby looked average, though spoiled by shady characters loitering in the lounge for the entire 5-6 hours the evening we arrived and were coming and going. The elevators had ceilings ripped off, and smelled liked a dump for two days straight. Then there is the trashed room. We got a suite that either hasn't been renovated in a couple of decades, or has sustained deliberate damage to every single piece of furniture and wall surface (how? ). Window (one and only) was small and dirty. Remarkably bad.

Decent hotel, but they take pets, so if you are sensitive pick a different place.
