Roaches, roaches and more roaches! Huge health concern. Had to wash all of our belongings before checking in to a different hotel. Left this hotel 2 days early, money refunded for those two days only to find out my credit card was charged again for the two days that were to be refunded. Our truck was broken in to. Manager refused to watch security video as she was to busy, didn't have time! Manager was not responding to my phone calls or emails until I got Choice privileges involved.

The only con is breakfast served till 9:00 am By 7:30 The gravy was out and they said they wouldn't put any more because it takes 2 hours to make you have all these people coming in for breakfast So you better make sure you get In time before the gravy runs out.

Clean rooms, pleasant clerk at the front desk and she's helpful and couldn't get any closer to Ruby Tuesday! a out 40 steps from my room!

The stay was nice until someone tried to come in our room at 12:15 AM, it seems the hotel gave us the wrong room number the day before (this was night 2) but our key worked in the door they gave us. The front desk called at 12:30 AM and the lady was rude to me because of someone else’s mistake at the front office. I understand they had a mix up, it happens, but no need to be rude to a guest who woke up scared as all get out. Definitely wouldn’t recommend due to customer service.

Well I wish I could give this place a good review but I just cant. Within 3 hours of checking in we decided to go to the pool after 17 hour drive from chicago. After about an hour of swimming with the kids we came back to the room only to find that our truck had been broken into. I went to the receptionist and asked for the video footage after she told me there was a camera only to be told that tiara was off and they would have to Call her. After waiting an hour I came back and they gave me the excuse that she had to charge her other phone in order to get it. I chit chatted with the lady at the front desk and she assured me after I told her I thought it had to been someone in a room close to us that it couldnt have been and that theres junkies that come and go all the time. I came to a military town to bring my brother his stuff that was just stationed for nuke school. My boys did great on the ride down and I thought it was turning out to be the perfect vacation. We tried to put this to the side and just enjoy our time in charleston while it lasted. I will be calling corporate ill aslo call booking and most likely call the city. Stay far far away from here and do your research after all this took place I did a little research and looked at the review tge only good ones are from employees. The main reason I book is because of tiannas fake review saying it was a family friendly place only to find out she is the general manager.

Ghetto, don't recommend. Not a place for families.

The hotel really isn’t a dump. It’s ok. You can tell it’s just kind of a half way performance all around!
To top it off we got here and got settled, left to go eat. Came back to a room key that wouldn’t work. Laughed it off, went to the office they rekeyed it, went back to the room it still didn’t work! Went back to the office she gave us a whole new key GUESS WHAT … it STILL DIDN’T WORK! So then I called the office and said I need you to come check it maybe I’m doing something wrong. She was the only one working and new, but so sweet! She came with 2 master keys, still didn’t work! She left and came back to tell us they r going to put us in a new room and someone would be here at 10:30 to help get us in! Guess what it’s now 11:04 no one is here to help her so we can get our stuff!
My baby girl is here with ROTC has to be at the Citadel bright and early! First Sgt gave strict orders to be in bed early and get a good nights rest! Ughhh, I just hate this for her! The new lady at the front desk did at least give us a tooth brush and has tried her hardest to make us feel better! Just knowing that she called her manager an hour and a half ago to tell them about this situation and they haven’t come to help her and the person that’s supposed to be here to relieve her at 11 is still not here, JUST REALLY BURNS MY HIDE! 0 stars!
When your hotel struggles not being the nicest you should really step up the game on customer service in my opinion! So we will not be back!

An over night stay I enjoyed the fact that my room was right at the pool although the water was too cool for me I also enjoyed that Ruby Tuesday was in walking distance … Breakfast — I’m not a waffle person, nor a grits person so it was a yogurt and banana for me, the Orange juice was a little weak for me.

The location is easy to find with plenty of fast food restaurants as well as Ruby Tuesday's and McDonald's within walking distance. There is no laundry on site and the closest laundromat does not appear to be in a safe environment. The breakfast was free but it was very very crowded and most of the food was gone and there was still an hour left for breakfast. I was at breakfast by 9 and couldn't even get a cup of coffee. My daughter.

We stayed in room 161. First the room smelled like smoke and mold. We didn't have all of the cable channels. Nothing for kids at all. The blow dryer was broken. The tub was dirty and the only way the toilet will work if you hold it down for ten seconds. Once it flush the water pressure was low. If housekeeping were doing their job they would have taken note of this and fixed it by now instead they give it to a paying customer. The walls were thin. So thin I can tell you what my neighbor was talking about. Finally, their was a lot of strange people hanging out around the hotel. Especially by the fence coming down the hill. I didnt feel safe at all. I really feel cheated out my money. I will never stay at this hotel or any choice brand hotel ever again.

The hotel is centrally located and had decent rates. That’s about all it has going for it. The remodel was poorly done. While the design choices were nice but not executed well. The room we were in had hair in the caulking on the tub. Didn’t even clean it just caulked right over it. The hotel had a ton of loud rowdy guests. They had a stereo sit up and were blasting music at the pool. I went to the lobby to check out Sunday morning at 8:30 am and had to wait ten minutes for an attendant. I needed to change the card that was on my account at check out. Apparently, this hotel charges your card for the full amount at check in. This was a first for me and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. The attendant was rude about it also. Not to mention she was wearing a shirt that looked like it had been work several times without washing. She had food all over her shirt. Needless to say we will not be back.

Quality Inn is by far the best hotel for the money in the area. Friendly staff, nice amenities, clean rooms. Everything you could ask for and at a reasonable price.

This was a good hotel for the two nights we were there in Charleston. The price was very good compared to all of the other hotels in the area. We did get the senior rate of $62. The rooms were clean and looks to have been remodeled fairly recently. Because of the possible low cost of the rooms there were a lot of construction workers staying there. The parking lot was full and there was a bit of noise but it did not last very long. They did have a good breakfast which is complementary and it did have make it yourself waffles, pre-fabricated eggs, bacon, coffee and juices in the usual other things. If I were going to go back to that area I would consider staying at that hotel again.

Rooms are a little small. Great places around to eat. Pool is great! It has a chair for handicapped accessible people!

I really loved this place, we got in late, we picked up our keys and checked into a nice clean room. The beds were very comfortable. Then in the morning we went to what they call a continental breakfast which would consist of coffee juice and rolls, well that wasn’t the case. We had juice, apple and orange, cereal, bacon and sausage patties, boiled eggs, fried eggs, freshly made waffles, wow need l say more. Then this cook/cleaning guy, name Ron, l think, l don’t know his title, made sure we had everything we needed. What great service! Not much more to say, after two days we checked out. STAY HERE! You’ll be glad you did.

This place was digusting. Both beds had stains. The shower curtain was stained. There was nasty stuff all around the sink. Toilet and tub were clearly old. Walls were peeling and ceilings were stained. Do NOT stay here!

This place took the full amount from my card the day I booked. Then we arrive at the hotel and don’t even stay 2 hours and left to go to another hotel due to this hotel being nothing like it’s pictures. Today I check my bank statement and they have taken another $90 out of my account and leaving me with less than $100. Very very pissed off and upset. We chose this hotel to bring our daughter to the air show and do not have money we can sit and waste and they go and take even more money from me! I pray to God my bank will give me my money back but they are saying at least 7 days. This place is horrible!

We came to North Charleston for a get away and to see places my husband was stationed in the Air Force. Place looks rough from the outside but rooms are updated with flat screen t. V. Air conditioning works great. Staff was very friendly we needed to move rooms once due to the first room not cooling they worked quickly to get us in a better room. I would recommend it. Has a very nice outdoor pool. Offers early breakfast. Has a ruby Tuesday on site and a McDonald's across the way. Close to down town. We had a great stay…

We loved this place, we have 2 almost large dogs and they did not have a problem with it. That is very difficult to find a place that doesn't have a pet deposit and will allow 2 dogs in one room. The service was great and the people working there very nice and professional.

No room clean up nothing was taken care of. Very rude employees. Disrespectful staff. Will never go there again and this was my husbands first experience and as his words will be the last time ever staying at one.

First off, I had booked a room with a king size bed. They over booked, which isn't my fault, and gave me a room with 2 full beds, very uncomfortable. Then, after asking to make sure it was a non smoking room, the room they gave me smelled like an ashtray. They gave me the room next to it, still smelled like smoke but it was "doable". The shower is a safety hazard because it apparently has nothing under it so it felt like standing on a gel floor. Just horrible. The only thing I liked was the breakfast in the morning.

The air condition was broken. Sheets had holes and stains on it. Good thing I only needed to stay overnight.

The worst hotel ever. My room smelled like feet, my toilet didn't work, No cold water in the room to even take a shower. Sheets was dirty and the heater made a loud noise that wouldn't stop. Hotel price is to high to have poor quality.

My boyfriend and I just stayed at the quality inn and I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel. Microwave and fridge in the room, location with everything you need 5 minutes from the area. At night on the weekends, good luck getting anywhere with the amount of traffic. Breakfast is standard and has everything you need. When you have the air on, it's hard to hear anyone outside which was nice. Pool closed and never knew why.

This hotel appeared newly renovated. It was clean and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was friendly. If it had not been for feeling rushed to checkout this hotel wpuld have gotten 5 stars. The cleaning staff made us feel rushed an hout and a half before checkout.

The non smoking room smelled like it recently quit smoking, so good on it for quitting, just wish it had never started. The neighborhood in which this hotel is set is pretty rough, and parking was sparse, but for our purposes, it served us well. It was cheap and we woke up alive, so 4 stars!

The motel was very nice the rooms are clean he stepped very courteous in a nice location restaurants around it.

It was noisey in general. A lot of commotion outside. Not to the fault of the hotel, but it doesn't feel like a "safe" environment. There were people yelling and drinking in the parking lot. In the morning there was three police officer squad cars at the end of the property. Again, not sure if they had anything to do with the hotel and it's guests or not. My biggest complaint was the shower. Yes, the shower. As I told the lady at the front counter if I was anyone else they would have a law suit on them. The shower no matter the setting would fluctuate between ice cold and scolding hot. I'm not exaggerating. It was terrible. It happened to my wife first and to be honest I did sorta of shrug it off as I figured it's just a loose faucet or something. The water literally burned me. Obviously, you can get out of the way but the short second it hit me was painful. The room was clean, the beds were nice. Much better than the last few Super 8's we stayed at. I didn't have the breakfast offering but according to my in-laws it was a typical free hotel of this rating breakfast. No complaints there. The staff seemed pleasant enough but when I told the lady on my departure about my shower I couldn't really tell if she was sincere or not. Overall, for the price point we paid ($125 for two nights/two adults/king bed) it is what it is. Just stay inside and mind your own business at night.

Terrible. Supposedly non smoking room smelt like a dirty ashtray. Room was outdated. Stepping into the tub was like walking on a water bed. Coffee pot spilled brewed coffee everywhere. Horrible parking situation. Dirty. Beds were rock hard, pillows offered no support. Would recommend anyone to look elsewhere for a room. Stay away from this "hotel".

Quick service and clean rooms. Didn't have to wait long although I didn't have a reservation.

Had paid reservations and showed up late to find they had given my room away. When I asked about another room was told it would be no problem. After 20 minutes the night guy told me the room was ready and he had cleaned it himself. When I get to the room, one of the beds wasn't made up. Afterwards, he said since I was alone I'd only need the one bed anyway. Go to the bathroom to take a shower after working all day and find the used soap. The picture doesn't show it well but there was blood on the used soap and in the tub. Pass the shower, I'm exausted just sleep. Pull back the sheets and found the working girl had forgot her undies and the bedbugs feasting on whatever was left over from the night's earlier festivities. Avoid this place like the plague.

Stay was great, room was clean and we'll kept. Front desk workers were very nice. The breakfast was delicious with waffles, biscuits, gravy, and even bacon and eggs!

Room was clean, smelled like a previous guest had smoked in the room and it was cleaned up as best possible. Very reasonable for the price Great shower, free self serve breakfast and all the coffee you can drink is worth it.

Updated rooms were nice. Eggs and bacon most mornings for breakfast. Pool was closed while we were there, which was one the main reasons we booked. That would be okay, but the customer service is low. This is funny. I have a special pillow for travel (neck and back conditions). I left it behind in the room. I called them 5 times leaving messages three times. Once, I included our address so they could send it back. After all those inquiries, no manager contact, nor any pillow. Such a small thing to make a stay great.

Stayed here several times and always a pleasure great front staff and great room close to plenty of places to eat definitely recommend.

This was an awful experience from the beginning. The first room they attempted to give me reeked of cigarette smoke and the cable did not work on the TV so I asked to switch rooms which they agreed to do. The second room also had a very strong marijuana stench. There was always garbage in the parking lot every time I left my room. After I left the hotel left the pending authorization on my card and the manager was never available to speak to my bank so they could remove it.

I had to come here because the military base didn't have any rooms and I'm glad I did. Night front desk young lady was very sweet and very professional. I'm here for my mom's funeral and she was very warm and caring. Rooms are clean and beds were comfortable… quiet area. Near plenty of places to eat. I would highly recommend.

The price was right for the night, paid about $80. Parking is very sparse here, you may need to park in an adjacent lot and walk around the building to your room if there isn't any space to park along the sides of the parking lot. The "courtyard" is reminiscent of a prison with the high concrete wall along the open end (highway ramp). There is a McDonald's within walking distance and the mall is a very short drive. The highway is extremely accessible. The lobby looks nice and the attendant was kind and helpful, if you clock in at 5 you'll have to leave at 1100, but if you clock in at 6 you'll have the room till the next day. Aside from the blood stain on the comforter and the scratches in the tub, the room was mostly clean from what I saw. The fridge was in working order (it was inside a closed cabinet. I don't understand why hotels do this, fridges require air circulation to function properly). The bed was comfortable and the shower worked properly, I didn't hear any noise from other rooms. The cleaning people knocked on my door repeatedly for about 5 minutes even though I yelled at them to leave, perhaps they didn't hear me. They returned later to complain to someone that the door wouldn't open. They didn't have privacy signs but the door does have a privacy lock that prevents the keycard reader from working, it would have been nice not to have been woken up by incompetent staff. Overall, I can't say that I wouldn't consider this place again.

My boyfriend booked this hotel for us and he did a pretty good Job! It looks kind of rundown and old from the outside but the inside is really nice and updated. The room was clean and layied out nicely. The shower was a little small if you are a tall or bigger person b/c they don't have a shower curtain rode that is curved out to give you more room. Having one of those would have made it much more injoyable to not be atacked by a hotel shower curtain. The bed was very comfortable and even though it is close to the highway you don't hear it at all. They also hade a nice big tv. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. One morning they were about 30 min late on the continental breakfast though. Over all I would gladly stay here next time we come back up to Charleston.

First off the prices for what you get are ungodly. We asked for a full clean in the room and they just skipped it. Didn't even bother opening the door. Place even looks horrible.

Our room smelled like cat pee! It seemed to be clean other than the smell. You access the room from outside and the area seemed a bit sketchy at night. I would not stay here again, even though the price was good.

There are beds, a shower. Rates are good. It ain't the Hilton and what dies a man have to do to get a towel.

Not a bad place, dont let he outside of the building fool you. As soon as you get in the room you feel as if your in a nice building. I liked the purple walls and I'm happy to say it is bed bug free (I checked)

It had breakfast and a pool and it was clean the best of all was my dogs got to stay for free most places you have to pay an arm and leg me my husband our daughter and two small dogs enjoyed our week stay… and the staff is amazing they are very friendly and helpful.

The room I was in was very dirty, when I walked from the bed to the restroom my feet were so dirty the bottoms were black. But the one in North Charleston was very nice great service, and the view was to die for.

Average stay. Got in late. Room we were supposed to have was clearly smoked in even though supposed to have non smoking. Front desk very responsive and immediately changed our room which was good. New room was a bit dirty but not terrible. Overall good hotel. Feel great for less than 100 a night.

Its right next to the intersate. The rooms all face the exterior of the building. The other guests are questionable at best. I felt like I was in an unsafe environment.

The rooms were clean, the bed was so soft and warm. The only problem I had was the water pressure in the shower sucked everything else was amazing.

Our bathtub was dirty we called the front desk and she came immediately to clean it with extra towels and blankets. Customer service is great and there is NO BUGS.

While the price is reasonable, and the rooms appear to be quite clean, apparently everyone else who stays here smokes like a freight train. The first room I was assigned smelled so strongly of cigarettes that I could not stay in there more than a minute. The staff is very friendly, understanding, and helpful, and we were moved without question until we had a satisfactory room. Not really certain that I'd stay here again, though…

Terrible place. Beds are supposed to be queen, they are not clean. The room smells like cleaning products and when you turn the a/c on it makes the whole room smell even worse. Service is sub par at best.

First I had I didn't get the room that I booked. When I got the so-called upgrade, the toilet overflowed with just number "1" (sorry). Then they sent some random, non-uniformed person with an exposed plunger and told me "You have to hold the handle for ten seconds". There were ashes in the bathtub and on the toilet, too. The receptionist (name started with a "K") was really nice and professional. Otherwise Yall would have gotten a half star.

This hotel has some low ratings, but I can tell you as someone who is picky when it comes to lodging that it was great! It was $105 for one night, and I wasn't expecting anything great based on the photos. When my husband, 2 large dogs and I got there we came to a freshly renovated hotel. All of the rooms have JUST been renovated and are very nice. Also, we didn't pay any fee for our dogs. The pool was very nice and we stayed in well past the closing time. The front desk ladies were really sweet and friendly every time I talked to them. If I came to North Charleston again I would definitely stay here.

Avoid La Quinta inns. Period. We had reservations, even held by credit card, and they gave our room away anyways. Then they told us that they called to the La Quinta downtown and they had a room waiting for us. When we got there the downtown location was full too. We were just told a lie to get rid of us by the North Charleston desk clerk. This whole time we had a screaming infant by the way, which made the drive back to Columbia horrible. Not worth your time or money, go someplace decent and avoid these dumps. Never had a good visit to a La Quinta, I guess I will never again be seduced and deceived by the low prices.

Very Clean, free Wi-Fi, Good Breakfast, Freindly staff, Overall it was the best place to stay overnight after a long drive. Wud like to go there again.

Not very clean. Broken ice maker near our room. Cold water knob in tub had to be repaired. No maid service. Left room at 8:00 am and returned at 4:30 pm to find it needing maid service. Had to beg for about 1-1/2 hours just to get clean towels and wash cloths. Never received a bath mat. Room was never cleaned. One maid said they were 3 maids short; two had been fired and one quit. At about 5:00 pm, the front desk was telling new arrivals no rooms would be ready for at least 45 minutes. People were leaving to seek other lodging. LaQuinta is spending a lot on TV advertising only to have disappointed guests. We will not return.

Had one of the worst experiences with a hotel ever. It took about 4 hours to get a room we had booked months in advance. Even with whatever technical difficulties they were experiencing they were not very accommodating and when we called to complain they stated that we had a room in sixteen minutes which is far from the truth. I'm sure there are quite a few better places to choose in Charleston. Would definitely not stay here again.

This "hotel" is filthy dirty. The check in people are nice and that is the end of it. The entire maintenance/cleaning staff needs to be fired. This warehouse needs to be completely renovated or shut down be the city! What a mistake and apparently La Quinta management, local, regional and corporate doesn't care.

Nice beds, Wi-Fi worked great, breakfast limited, pool extremely loud with unattended children, exterior of building and pool area has trash and needs cleaning, no large vehicle parking.

After a terrible experience at a motel down the road, I booked a slightly more expensive room here. It's clean, I felt safe, and the staff was helpful. It's an older building but it seems reasonably well-kept. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to save a little money on Charleston hotels.

Been staying at this motel for years and have watched its steady decline. Once a great place, but this time the soda machines did not work. The sink was cracked around the basin beneath the rim. There was no holder to place the furnished coffee to insert into the maker to make coffee. The pool was down for the winter but was full of dirt and looked gross. The breakfast was sparse and no milk for the cereal. It was looking better on the last visit but they have once again changed managers. Good price I guess for what you get for an older motel.
