We have had such a great experience at Fairfield Inn. Rooms were very clean. The staff has been so nice. Their breakfast is so delicious in the mornings. 5/5

Very pleasant and helpful desk receptionist. Was very professional and polite when checking us in. Was quite taken in when we first walked in by the appearance of the hotel and blown away by the room. Very spacious, clean and accommodating. An outstanding complimentary breakfast worth going down for. One of the best hotels with stayed on a while. Liked it so much we booked a room for August when we go back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Labor Day weekend we reserved a room but the hotel cancel the room reservation less than 2 hours before we were schedule to come in. Keep in mid we were mid flight when we got the email. Had a conversation with the hotel staff they told us sorry but they can't help at all. They claimed it was an issue with the card in file however we travel for a living and said in a Fairfield Inn last week. We had a nice long search for a place to stay forLabor Day weekend in Charleston. Thanks a lot Fairfield Inn.

Hard to believe this is a 3 Star Hotel! Customer service was absolutely outstanding and the room was very clean and spacious. We called ahead because we were worried about leaving luggage tied down on the top of our vehicle and were assured it was a safe neighborhood and we would be fine. Sure enough, zero issues. They also provide a hot breakfast which is always a plus.

I was going to give 3 stars until check out. The lady that checked us in was nice. The bed was ok, the bathroom was clean but shabby. The person that checked us out was very rude. Overall I think the room was average, service hit or miss and this made the price to much. I paid about $150 for a king bed suite and it should've been about $90. I've stayed at other hotels in the area and they were better for less so I would not recommend.

Nice rooms and friendly staff, the hotel has a nice breakfast as well. The problems I had when I stayed was that the weight room and swimming pool were both very small. The pool is unusable due to size. Comfortable beds and cable with 50+ channels. The Wi-Fi was unfortunately was not stable for me so I could not use it. Overall 4/5 due to nice hotel, but not so great amenities.

Only stayed one night, but it was clean and the bed was comfy. The only complaint was when I went to make a cup of coffee in the room, the coffee maker did not work. I would stay again though.

Very nice hotel. Great staff and nice clean rooms. Kid friendly, great hot breakfast. Also a good location and safe. Front door are locked after 11 pm only paying guests can enter with room key. I thought that was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Like the quietness since a block away from the road. Nice facility with everything in its place. Very friendly staff, took less than a minute to check in. Used fitness center, loved it. I will always come back to this place, whenever I am in the area.

Overall not a bad experience, just a few minor things. The pool area was dirty with debris. There were very few available channels to watch any tv; also no guide was available. The shower head does not offer a good spray pattern or pressure, which usually makes it a little difficult for a woman to wash her hair. The complimentary breakfast really lacked when compared to other Fairfield Inn & Suites. Other than those minor issues it served it's purpose.

Large rooms, comfy and clean. TVs are out of date and breakfast has less choices than most, but that's okay because I'm not staying there to watch TV or care about breakfast. Definitely will stay here again next time.

Front desk was pleasant. The room was a great size and quite comfortable for two people. The shower was great, large with a strong water stream. Also, the location can't be beat. It is close to everything you would need for entertainment, food, shopping, and downtown. My only negatives would be the bed is uncomfortable and very springy and there are two televisions for a room that can only handle one.

Carpet dirty. Renovation Jam. Hotel is located in the Flugeinschneise. The rooms are very noisy.

I love Marriott! Always so quick to help and have worked with me multiple times to get a reservation during a quickly planned trip. The staff is extremely helpful and quick to give you a smile! I've been a rewards member for almost eight years and it is a great program with awesome rewards that I would recommend to anyone that travels for business or pleasure. Also check out their rewards credit card. This Fairfield in particular is very nice, convenient to downtown Charleston without being stuck in that traffic. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available for those that need. Just a great place to stay while you explore all that Charleston has to offer. If you are looking for a family friendly atmosphere with a modern setting, I would highly suggest you check out Fairfield Inn & Suites in North Charleston!

Terry and Jerri are fantastic. I stay here all the time purely because they take such good care of me. They are my family away from home!

Overall our stay was great. They were very accommodating and it wasn’t packed. However, the pull out couch beds were extremely dirty. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. It made us weary of what else in the room was dirty. They did move us to another room after this discovery which was a little better. Breakfast wasn’t the best but the dining area was empty so we had our choice of food and seating. The downstairs is clean and well decorated. Our double queen bed room did however have two televisions which was awesome. The rooms are also very spacious.

We wish to commend Jerri at the Front Desk for her warm and courteous assistance during our recent stay. She provided excellent service to provide our special needs. Also, kudos to the staff who managed the breakfast counter. Everything was neat, clean, and well laid out. There was a nice variety of foods including many "healthy" choices.

Don't stay here… breakfast is horrendous… if something goes wrong with your stay… managemment won't call you back… one of the front desk clerks is racist if you are Caucasian… stay at the Hampton inn across the street… great people compared to this hotel… cleaner. Better accommodations.

The rooms were nice and large, but the air conditioner blew directly on the bed and you couldn't adjust the angle of the air conditioner. You were either going to get a cold or have high heat in the room. Breakfast on both days was sparse with no yogurt at all both days and no eggs for part of the Second day. Almost no fruit. Value for price was not there.

Very clean and comfortable. Seems like recently updated. Great for families! The parking gets full if you return after 10pm. Staff was very friendly. Great continental breakfast.

Unfortunately what started out as a pleasant experience — very nice greeting upon checking in following an 11 hour car ride — turned quite negative. 8/18/17. We were woken up the following morning by gardeners trimming the bushes with what sounded like a weed whacker DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OUR HOTEL ROOM WINDOWS AT AROUND 7:15 AM! I'm talking I was eye level with the worker when I looked out the window. What made matters worse was the front desk didn't seem to care much. Not only did the workers continue, we were offered nothing to compensate for having our sleep so horribly disturbed but a few "extra points" on my Marriott rewards program. Unfortunately, the points never came through either. Terrible stay.

Upon entering the lobby we were warmly greeted by the front desk attendant. We used the mobile check in so it was all done for us. The room was well appointed, neat and clean. Breakfast in the morning delicious and keeping with the Fairfield brand standards. All in all, an excellent choice if you're staying in the area.

Inside the hotel is great, but outside is rough. The hotel next door attracts crime. In the week I was there I saw police blue lights everyday outside my hotel window. A guy surprised me while I was near my car and demanded my phone to make a call. Clear drug dealing in the area. Like I said, staff and the hotel were great but stay inside and lock your doors.

Clean room, great staff. The hotel is right off the highway and very convenient. Demere was the contact person for me … There is actually a real person at the hotel that will "chat" with you through the app. It was great to have my concerns addressed.

Very nice. Good bang for the buck. Clean room, decent sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Walls between rooms thin as guests in room beside me up half the night partaking in extra curricular activities.
Breakfast was ok. Definitely would stay again.

Swimming pool very small. Not usual Marriott standards of cleanliness/ service, despite some staff who really try to accommodate guests. Rooms are nice size.

You can't believe everything you hear from a guest, some are natural liar at heart. It's all about the guest is right, to get something free until it happen to them. The houseKeeping ladies work hard in their field, while some of us sit on our ass and complain.

This wasn't a hotel. It was a Helltell. There is so much crime in the area that they lock the lobby in the evening. Not that they will tell you because we asked and they denied it. Way to keep the guests safe. Look up the area to see that the hotel (intown suites) across the street has had three shooting murders there in the last three months. Had we known this, we would not have stayed in this area of Charleston. There was a bright light shining into our room all night and the curtain was broken so we couldn't close it. The refrigerator was broken and the freezer part was hanging by threads into the fridge. We called the front desk and the guy working in there said he was the only person working and there was no way he could bring up PAPERCLIPS to close the curtain and we need to come to the front desk to get them ourselves. No security in the hotel whatsoever. They rely on their locked front door as security and only have one employee there all night. Not a very good night of sleep. The room (423) smelled like mold. The washcloths smelled like dirty dish rags. We tried to buy something to drink from their store by the front desk and no one would come to the counter. The water container in the lobby was empty and we went to bed thirsty. You can't walk around at night or even go to your car because someone might rob or kill you. Not exaggerating. Not safe at all.

Couldn't fall asleep as there was this very bright (street) light right infront of me Room 216. No curtain to block it out! : — ( The toilet made wired noises, which also kept me awake. But the front desk lady, Mrs Tammy was wonderful!

I am furious! We were in Charleston due to my son having an appt at MUSC. The hotel appeared nice. However, upon returning home, we noticed that our debit cards had been charged despite me paying cash. I used one card to book the room and a different one for "incidentals" but paid cash upon checkin. When I got home, the original card had been charged the rate of the room, a random $10 charge, and the second card had a random $20 charge. When we called to inquire, they have no record of me paying cash and only show where I paid debit. I guess the front desk clerk pocketed my cash and charged the card on file.

The staff is amazing. We came into town with 17 girl scouts. We had to cancel our reservation at another hotel because the rooms were nasty. The overnight staff at Fairfield helped us locate accommodations for all of our girls and volunteers. We had a wonderful weekend. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the girls had a great weekend. Thank you for all of your help!

As someone who travels for work; I always want to stay at location that has 24 hour workout facility. This place says they have 24 hours except at 4am when I go to run I can't get in. Front desk says they actually lock it after 10pm. I say your sign on the workout facility says 24 hours, he laughs and says he knows but they won't to keep it locked. I can come use at 8am. I'm sorry, but I'm working at that point.
When I checked in and after housekeeping I thought a child had made my bed. It was so messy.
One tiny elevator that you are constantly waiting on.
I will not be back.

We had a few misfunctions with our room but Vincent went above and beyond to make it right and help us. With a follow up call to the room to ensure everything was taken care of and we were pleased. The hotel was very clean, I hope in the future they add a hot tub for evenings but the kids had fun playing in the hot outdoor shower. Very friendly staff. I felt breakfast was a bit limited compared to most places I have stayed but then again, ice cold, fresh lime water all day was a great touch. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend. Easy access to Charleston/Mount Pleasant. Our children had a great time. Very family friendly hotel:).

Friendly staff but super noisy room. By elevator and pool. Could hear baby crying in the middle of the night.

Location is great the room was nice and spacious. There was an issue during check in but it was solved immediately.

Located close to the airport in Charleston it was nice and clean and breakfast was included. Large room and close to lots of stores to get last minute things.

Your staff are wonderful. Everyone was warm and smiling even your exhausted housekeeping staff as it was a fully booked weekend. The front desk staff were sweet and helpful when asked questions about the area as well as going above and beyond expected. For example: staff called around other hotels to see if they had a loud box fan we could use to drown out the constant noise. We went to bed at 730 seeing as we were exhausted and needed to get up early both days we stayed. People in the halls were constantly allowing their doors to slam shut. Even when using the top latch to stop the door from closing other customers would slam the doors. They were also extremely loud speaking and yelling, laughing in the halls at all hours. There was also constant car doors slamming and horns beeping from the automatic keyless locking most cars use today. NONE of these problems were the staff's fault but rather other guests who weren't thinking of other guests. Growing up, my family treated hotels as a library seeing as other guests came to relax and sleep. You never know when someone is trying to sleep early or not so you walk quietly, whispering in the halls and not slam your doors. Being only 31 years old, I felt like a crotchety old woman over all the noise. We will never stay in a room facing the parking lot again unless we bring a box fan or have the laptop to use white noise videos on youtube — which totally worked.

This location is standard for a budget Marriott hotel, but that doesn't mean that it feels budget. Staff is very welcoming and Marriott always stocks their hotels with some of the most comfortable mattresses in the hotel business. Had a great stay!

The hotel is not safe to walk around at night. The front desk claimed to have off duty police officers at night, I never saw one. The assistant manager Tommy was really rude on the phone when I spoke with him. If you want to stay at a Fairfield inn and suites stay at the one near Charleston Southern University.
