Excellent place to stay the staff was awesome and the rooms were comfy. And they always have there complimentary coffee ready and when we checked in they had fresh chocolate chip cookies something to tide us over till we had dinner at Murphy Chop House which was excellent by the way.

Ive stayed here several times while in the area for work. The rooms are nice and the staff is above average. I highly recommend!

Very typical Hampton Inn quality. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, quality linens. Clean throughout and very friendly staff. Lots of options for breakfast. Y Only negative was the outdoor pool. We were visiting for spring break and my kids always associate a hotel stay with pool swimming. It wasn't open yet for the season, and that was a bummer.

Clean, quit and right in town. Wonderful place to stay.

The 4 stars because they were remodeling when we were there & it was a little bit inconvenient. But I'm sure it's really nice now. We'll be staying there next time we pass through for sure.

I called to check the rates. I was told $169.00 plus tax for 1 night. How in the hell can they charge that amount for a plain jane 2 star hotel? No way in hell. I'd sleep in my car before I'd pay 4 times the amount of what the rate should be. $40

Located close to a lot so access is easy. Rooms are standard Hampton fare so when traveling to this small town it gives you a sense of familiarity.

The reason we stay at Hamptons it that we know we are getting a nice, clean room every time.

Great place to stay in Murphy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and smelled wonderful. Breakfast had a great variety of food. We will definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff gave excellent service. My room door would not lock and Michael and another staff put me in another room and moved all my stuff and put it exactly where I had it in the 1st room. Her attitude was professional and helpful. All staff greeted us with a smile and got to know the names of my grand-kids after the 1st day. When we came in late and the kids were hungry they let us have cereal and fruit. We did enjoy swimming in the pool but it was not as clean as I would have liked. Also pool towels were not convenient. They were found in the fitness room off the hall of the pool area. I would have liked a bigger room because it was a little tight with 4 people and one on a roll a way bed. Breakfast was nice and hot and very filling. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice little place in a small town, close to the casino and Andrews, NC. The room was well maintained and the hotel overall was what you expect from A Hampton inn.

Helpful, friendly staff, extremely clean room/bathroom and all appliances. Excellent duvet as well as pillows and mattress topper. Couldn't have asked for anything more…

The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room we stayed in (first floor King) was very roomy even with the couch, desk, and coffee table. Everything was clean and I loved the fact that I could open the window. My husband said the TV was too small but we didn't use it much anyway;) They have a small outdoor swimming pool that looked well kept. There is no shuttle service to the casino at any of the hotels from what we gathered so this location was the best option for us. If you are going to the casino, the hotel is 1.8 miles away… we had to walk back to the hotel because the taxi service closed at 10:00.

We had a great stay at Hampton Inn Murphy! The room was nice and very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful!

The Hampton Inn is located on the main highway through Murphy, NC. It is very convenient to the historic downtown area, the new casino, and John C Campbell Folk School. It is also a short drive to a world of outdoor activities as well, with the Nantahala River to the east and the Ocoee River (site of the '96 Olympics kayaking events) to the west, both offering world class canoeing and whitewater rafting. The hotel itself is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in was very quick. Our room was quite large and pleasant. The king bed was very comfortable and there was a note telling us that all the bed linens, including the comforter, we're fresh. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. The only problem we had in the room was that the TV was offline. We called the desk and they said it was a problem they sometimes had with the local provider then said they'd reboot the system. We were so tired that we fell asleep before the few minutes passed. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was included which was offered in the lobby. We had a choice of cereals, oatmeal with nut and/or dried fruit, yogurt, fresh do-it-yourself waffles, or a variety of microwavable breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches came with numbered stickers that corresponded with simple buttons on the microwave that controlled cooking time. The ones we tried were tasty, but the bread was a bit tough and chewy due to being microwaved. We still preferred it to spending money on breakfast.

Lobby and breakfast area a little small but otherwise a great hotel. If you stay here and you eat at brothers, show them your room key for a discount.

Room nice as expected. Breakfast is crazy tight, 3 people make a crowd. You have to wait to warm up anything. Really poor arrangement for food. Heated up prepacked food isn't very good either.
