Don’t let the photos on the website or any other booking websites trick you — the hotel is NOTHING like the photos. No fault to the hotel itself, but there seems to be a lot of drug activity happening in and around the hotel grounds. They don’t tell you that there’s a separate fee for parking until you get here. Don’t even bother asking for a non-smoking room — the entire building smells like pot and cigarettes. The front desk staff were very attentive and understanding of any issues that arose, which were many: terrible Wi-Fi/tv connection, key cards frequently did not work, the cooling unit in the living room portion of the room did not work, the only ice machine in the building that works is on the third floor and we stayed on the 10th flr, there were condom wrappers throughout the hallways and stairwells, etc, ETC). By far the worst stay in a hotel that my wife and I ever experienced. Fortunately we celebrated most of her birthday back at home but were looking for some chill alone time for a few days. Never again.

There is no parking had to pay $40 just to park my car. There was a big hole in the bathroom ceiling, and sadly they didn’t have any Handicap accessible rooms for my sister. The room keys did not work had to get moved to a whole different room from my family members it was just not what I expected not only that the rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website, the TV and Wi-Fi are terrible. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay in this hotel!

If you have ever seen American Horror Story — Hotel, then this is it. It was a horror. The first room we were given, the air conditioning didn't work. In the second room, the air conditioning didn't work. The 3rd room was okay except for the used cup that was in the room. The shower is only useful if your a child. In all 3 rooms, they made you feel dirty. I highly suggest staying anywhere else! ANYWHERE!

Way over priced! The room was barely cleaned, and smelled like a litter box. The towel rack was broken off the wall. Originally only was given one towel for two people. Called several times to get more but never received any. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Overall a poor experience. Definitely would not recommend.

Loved my room. I climb trees professionally so my room made me feel right at home, even had a power kon in the pic running through the trees. 1 block from boardwalk, and about halfway down. Good price, great stay. A great view would have been on a higher level, we were only on second floor.

About 2 blocks from the boardwalk. $10/day for parking. Rooms could use some updating. My room was clean, housekeeping came in everyday, the ac worked. My room served its purpose and it was actually nicer than I thought it was going to be because I had stayed here once before. No frills though. It is a good location pretty much in the middle of all the casinos. I traveled alone and went to the boardwalk/casinos at night. No safety issues. I observed many families staying here as well. Decent continental breakfast.

Don’t book here no matter how good the price: Pulled up and it looked fine at night. Untold fee of 10 a night parking. Pile of broken glass next to a parking spot let me know someone’s car had been broken into recently. The next day we were walking to the beach and another persons car was broken into. There is legitimately no security for your car a block away from the hotel on the other side of an abandoned lot and parking garage. Poorly lit side street and the room was subpar by far. Door was falling off. Linens were stained and dirty unit in the room was busted although the one in the main room worked thank goodness. Bathroom was crammed and the beds are horrible quality and squeaky. Asked for new pillows as the ones we had were horrible and was told we’d get two new ones… it didn’t happen… we Didn’t even finish the last night out, checked out and drove home a day early.

The room was a nicely decorated but cheaply done. The dresser couldn't open or close properly. The latch on the bathroom door wasn't even there. The windows were missing glass panels so they covered them with plastic ones. The Smoke alarm was low on batteries and kept reminding us every two minutes and it took Almost 4hours to replace after we had called then twice. The sockets were missing their covers and the AC made this loud rattling noise all night and that was just our room. Your paying for the location which is still over priced. Two stars just for the art they hung up.

This hotel is pretty nice and the bathroom looks re — done and is very nice. The only problem I have is the carpet looks cheaply done in the room I'm staying in and housekeeping needs to better clean the carpet. Vacuum or sweep out corners.

Literally a roach motel. No I am not kidding. There were roaches in the lobby bathroom and in our suite. The air conditioner didn't work either. I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE. They should be shut down!

I guess I had to give it at least a 1 star though it ddidn't't deserve it. First, at check in they had the wrong room, I had request one with two diubdo beds and they gave me a queen bed. Then, the photos on their website are not even close to the real hotel. It seems that the only picture that matches is the one of the outside. Once in the room, the couches are worn broken and torn. The air conditioner unit was not working, when I asked for maintenance to come fix it, they told me they didn't have one to fix the A/C. Then I asked to be placed in a different room, they told me they didn't have availability. So I stayed in a room with no A/C during a 91 degree weather and humid day. Then, something that is nowhere mentioned is the parking which they charge $10 per day. I don't know how this hotel can be associated with the Wyndham chain of hotels and use their reputation. Well I can keep writing, but I think that's enough negatives for one stay. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the money they charge, might as well pay a little more if you can, but at the end you will have peace of mind.

After driving all day long to reach a vacation spot and hotel, most people want to go immediately to their hotel room and unpack, settle in and start the fun. Normally this isn't an issue at all. But, this hotel obviously isn't normal. Check in time is 4 pm; at 7:20 pm we were STILL waiting to be let into our room, after being told it would be a simple 20 minute wait. Along with seeing several cockroaches that the front desk person squished with their shoes, the staff was stand-offish, unclear and seemed oblivious. Once in the room, the ceiling was stained and broken in spots, the AC didn't work. The heat was awful. The light switch turned off the lights, microwave, fridge and TV all at once. There was a small sharp metal object sticking out of the torn carpet in front of the bathroom, that we had to cover with a thick towel to avoid stepping on again. The one room key wouldn't work, the ice machine didn't work, and during our stay we overheard many other guests complaining as well. The streets surrounding were extremely dirty; definitely not a great first experience in Atlantic City.

2nd stay here great hotel. The husky gentleman at the front desk assisted me and my ac problem. But they should open the bar downstairs. And get it more vibrant.

Worst ever first room the sink had standing water in it. Maintenance came to repair it was told all booked up and couldn't change our room. Left and went for walk on boardwalk returned two hours later. The sink was taken all apart was told couldn't fix still being told couldn't change room. Went back to management and demanded another room. After about 45 minutes arguing with management was given another room. In the second room we found condoms in the closet while putting up our luggage. At this point I gave up only staying one night. My grandson was bitten all over by bedbugs. 8-10 working girls in front of hotel. 06/24/18

Had to switch rooms twice. First had broken window and mold on the ceiling. Second had leaky AC and a moldy carpet. And these were suites supposedly their best rooms! Third room was finally acceptable. I would not recommend!

The staff was pleasant easy walk once the bus dropped us off. We didnt need no cab. They let us see and choose our room to make sure we were comfy cozy. the other 2 stars will be earned after the renovations are done.

Old old didn't do a good job repairing this place at all they could have done a better job but its clean!

Worst hotel ever. Everything you can thing of damn near happen. 3days we had to plung toilet maintenance man never came. Unless u want that experience what I did u can go but it u want to enjoy what u paid for dont go to this hole in the wall hotel. (this happen june8). Oh I do t think they answer emails.

Room is average. Lighting is atrocious for trying to do makeup. Not much counter space. However, for a slightly cheaper option in the area, it's not a bad hotel overall. Reasonably close to everything.

I have stayed here on two occasions and both times there were issues. I've had to switch rooms both times I have come here. The last time I was here the bathroom did not have a tub and the shower wouldn't even come on the bathroom is old and falling apart. The room itself is beautiful and the staff is great but the air conditioner in the room was very old and out dated. It only had to setting not even auto. So it was either on or off. So imagine in the middle if the night having to get up and down. Imagine that sleep pattern. Here are some pics.

This hotel is disgusting! yuck! I will never stay ever! people pay attention to reviews. The set up of room on web is lovely, you get here and the front of hotel is located near an abandoned building, the parking lot is behind the abandoned building. And they charge $ 10.00 to park behind a damn abandoned building where you are scared to go to your car after dark. Well I went to mines, I left after 2 hours. The lobby is half together and the check in was long, computer was down when I got there, the room (1055) smelled like mildew, the bed was hard, the refrigerator did not work, heating system was broke, turn on heat and Cold air comes out, it was already cold outside. Turn Shower on and brown water comes out, toilet runs once flushed. I left after 2 hours fighting to get money back, the only thing that is nice was the 42 inch TV. Once you there they will not exchange rooms. Surprise this place is still open. Stay away from baymont hotel, the worst hotel in ac. Don”twaste your money! have better chance playing slots!

I am not one to vent or do a bad review but here it goes… this place is not great… we ended up staying here because all the other hotels were booked. We ended up paying 170 something for the room (200 with tax) Upon ended the room, all you could smell is marijuana… like terribly! The bed dressing had stains on it, the tub had grime on the inside, you could see some of it wash down when you turned on the shower… but the worst part … we were coming back from a live show and going back up to our room and the elevator FREAKED OUT. We were going up and it went 1-2-3-4 then 14! Our room was on level 12. Then went from 14 down to 12 then just kept beeping. For 10 mins… then pressing 12 again went back to 1-12 then FINALLY let us out…

Was good. I was in room 354 and had no problems with it. People were nice. And for a 98 year old building it was not bad. I would and will stay there again.

Don't fall for all the crazy reviews. Yes, the hotel lobby needs major work as does the heating (the windows were like painted shut in the hotel) but for the $50 we paid per night for the 1 Bedroom Suite, it was WELL worth it. Our room had a huge tub for soaking and was newly renovated. Breakfast was pretty basic but who cares, your in AC!

Stay away! I should have paid attention to the reviews. Totally different from online pictures. Room (852) had musky smell. The room door seemed unsafe and wobbly. The sheets were dirty. We paid almost $200 for one night December 31 to Next day. (Just One day). There was no heat in our room with 8 degrees weather outside. At 2:22 Am already January 1 2018, We again tried calling front desk from phone in our room (Broken phone) useless! I had to call from my cell phone to their general number. Finally guy at front desk picked up. We explained we had no heat and it was cold. The guy at front desk Sam, told us to shut off heat and turn back on and wait 5 minutes For him to turn it on from his location (what? ) So, we did. We waited and still no heat. When we tried calling front desk again this time the guy would not answer our call. We kept calling and calling with no answer! We knew the guy had no idea how to fix this and was avoiding us. The cold air gave me a headache. We could not stay there with no heat. Absolute horror. BUT TO MAKE MATTERS WORST, a fight happened right outside our room door on the 8 floor. People were intoxicated and yelling until a fight broke out. I feared for our lives. The elevator and entrance reaked of marijuana. They have thugs hanging outside selling drugs. We quickly packed our bags and left. The guy was at front desk and when confronted him as to why he would not answer phone? he had nothing to say.

On December 31, 2017, Me and the wife stood at this hotel. "Please don't stay at this 'HOTEL" Run … as far from this place as possible! A homeless shelter would had been more accommodating. So let me take you on our "HORRIBLE" STAY at this hotel. The temperature was 8 degrees! The side walk to the entry to hotel was iced and walking on it was dangerous, my wife almost hit the concert face first. (you would think they would have salted the area) as you enter the lobby is looks like a 1920s throwback shitbox. As you enter there is this strong smell that you can cut with a knife, I knew as this point we were in trouble. We were given a room on the 8th floor. Our room entry door was a double wooden door, not a single door. The door to our room, looked like law enforcement or D. E. A had made a raid on this door by the poor condition it was in ("NOT SAFELY SECURE" LOCK) as we enter our room there was a "musky" smell! (Lord help use! ) But since we were "stuck and it was 'New Year's Eve" and all hotels were booked, we felt stuck! We decide to be troopers (bad idea! ) And tried and make the best of it, since it was only for one day. (wishful thinking or maybe I was just delusional). So we prepared for the evening out, no "hot water" but warm water for a shower. So we left for the New years celebration out to the casinos. We returned to our hotel room at about 2am, as we prepared for bed I notice that he room was getting cold.

The worst ever. Only one heater worked and their reply was they are only required to have one working. 26degrees outside. Housekeeping didn't change sheets or make the bed, their answer they change them every other day. I asked for a extra blanket they gave me one with burn holes in it. Didn't vacuum the floor either. They call hot water and oatmeal continental breakfast. Not worth saving the extra dollars it was terrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I had pictures they must have removed them.

There is a reason this place is cheaper than the other hotels. From the outside this place looks poorly maintained and the abandoned parking garage attached to the hotel doesn't help. When you walk into the lobby there is a seemingly abandoned bar. The room look like it was made 30 years ago with couple modifications to make it more current. The curtain was ripped, the air conditioning unit had knobs that weren't labeled and the mattress had to be from a previous decade. I would not recommend this place.

Pulling up to the hotel was concerning. Ripped curtains, broken windows, gated off and abandoned parking deck. The exterior of the building was heavily weathered and the lobby looked reminiscent of something from The Shining. The room itself however was okay. Appeared recently renovated (poorly). Light switches had a confusing operation and one smoke detector was missing. Walls showed water damage from sometime in the recent past. No bedbugs. Could be worse I suppose.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend. I booked it because the advertised price was reasonable and it was very close to boardwalk. The distance from boardwalk was really great. That was the only positive thing about this hotel. We were given a room with not working air conditioner and when I complained to front desk I was told that if I complain one more time my money will be refunded and I can move out from the hotel. What kind of customer service is that?! That was the worst customer service I had in my 37 years in the US. The rooms are very old and amenities need a major renovation. The entire weekend one elevator was not working and a couple of times we had to use cargo elevator to get to our floor. And to top it all the final price was not the advertised one. I definitely think that I did not get my money’s worth.

Pulled up to the hotel and it looked deserted. Attendant barely spoke English. Received our keys and took an elevator up to our floor. Door looked like metal reinforced entryway into a morgue from the 1920s. Neither key worked. Went back to lobby and checked out. Would not recommend this to anyone. I wonder if the owner of the hotel own house looks the same?

After reading the reviews I was extremely hesitant to keep my booking here but it was the best deal and super close to the boardwalk, so I figured I'd see for myself. Let me just say I am so glad I didn't cancel based off of these horrible reviews. This place was great for the price you pay and the only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the bed wasn't the most comfortable, the couch that was in our room was pretty run down and the water took awhile to get warm. Those would be my only complaints and to me those small things are worth the price and the very short walk (half a block) to the boardwalk. The room was huge and I'm very surprised by all of these horrible reviews. After reading them I literally thought I was going to walk into this disgusting, run down looking building. Again I am very glad I didn't listen to all the reviews.

Upon arrival I was disappointed by the decor in the lobby. The hallway smelled a little musky. I was expecting the worst by the time I got to my room. Surprisingly, it wasn't bad at all. The room was clean and it did not smell bad at all. It's only a block off the boardwalk and a block from expensive casino hotels. All in all you get what you pay for here.

My fiancé and I stayed here last week for our birthday week. I was quick to reserve this hotel since it was $281.81 for 4 nights, so I took advantage of this great deal. After reserving it, I decided to look at the reviews. Almost all the reviews I looked at said that the air conditioning sucked, the room smelled, etc. So I was a bit hesistant. However, when I got there, none of the reviews matched my experience. The air conditioning in my room worked just fine, and my room smelled pleasant. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because my total when booking was $281, tax included, but when I got there, it was $290. I know it's only an extra $9, but that's an extra $9 I could've spent elsewhere. Also, the keys for the rooms were cards, which I had to go down and get fixed at least twice a day since my door wouldn't unlock.

Worst hotel I've ever been to. Booked what seemed to be a reasonably priced, half way decent, hotel for a girls weekend. After booking a nonrefundable room, we noticed the online reviews were the worst we've ever seen. Tried to give the place the "benefit of the doubt, " but when we checked-in we saw first hand how run down the hotel was. When we headed up to our room, we entered a small, unclean room that had evidence of a family living there. Went back down to the lobby and demanded a refund. Got our money back but would never recommend this place to anyone… the reviews are right, place should be condemned.

Everything was perfect on my vacation. The exception was my stay at the baymont inn at Atlantic City, this I think has been the worst decisions I have ever made as far as choosing this hotel is appalling. The most dirty, do not wash the bathrooms or clean in general when guests leave. Since arriving on the first day the hotel found it dirty, since it was bloody in the bathroom curtain. We immediately asked that they change it and they did not do it then we went again and again to ask for the change and until the next day on the second occasion they took it for me to remove the one and put the "clean". The folder and all dusty furniture. Do not give it any maintenance. We stayed for 3 days and on those days all they did was go to put clean towels to the bathroom and take out the garbage from the garbage dumps. They did not change bedding, they did not vacuum, nor did they clean anything at all. The hotel practically deceive people as on the hotel page the photos they have have to be totally old since they are not even close to how that hotel is. The ceiling almost falling, I finally left pictures so they can see the reality.

Was a nice stay. Nothing fancy Dancy. Good breakfast. Loved it.

Closeness to the boardwalk was great hotel is in the middle of Renovations but rooms are large beds are comfortable I believe once they finish Renovations it'll be even better nice continental breakfast family friendly owners are very nice and helpful changed our room when we needed a lower level with no questions asked. Overall I believe once they finish modernizing the older building it will be great but if you're not worried about luxury then the price closeness and comfort is good.

I had read the reviews on this place as place being run down. It's pretty good for the cost, round $70 per night. Yes you can hear the sound of other room and sometimes on the hallway too. The elevators are slow and have a weird smell to it, but it looks good. I post photo of the room. Later if I can edit the elevator too. EDIT: I didn't take photo of the elevator however there is 2 but only one is working and it's slow. Nothing bad about the place would think staying here again.

Went to an event at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The walk isn't so bad to there and it's right next to the boardwalk as well. The room is nice but our toilet screeches every five minutes. Breakfast was okay. TV is okay. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioning works nicely. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had an issue where our tub didn't have a shower curtain and they put a new one on right away. The stay was nice.

My husband and I stayed here while seeing a concert. We choose this hotel because of the location to the boardwalk and the free breakfast. when we arrived, the hotel looked very run down. Both of the elevators were broken so all of the guests had to use the service elevator. The service elevator was the worst, it was slow, smelled bad, and seemed very unsafe. the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable (the only nice thing I have to say) we had three lamps in our room, two of them were broken. The air conditioner/heating unit was also broken. The windows were sealed, so we couldn't open them from fresh air. There was no mirror in the bathroom as well as the tub was dirty. The overall appearance of the room was dirty. The walls were paper thin, I could hear other guests in the hotel. The free breakfast that was served was horrible. The cottage cheese that they offered was bad and gave me food poisoning, I was not the only guest to experience this. Everyday of our stay, we had problems with our room key and had to go to the front desk to straighten it out, a common complaint that I noticed from other guests. Which was a huge inconvenience considering that you had to use the key to leave your room, otherwise the door would be left ajar because of the locks. We paid roughly $560 to stay Thursday till Sunday, I feel like it was a waste of money. I could of easily found a cheaper hotel of the same quality.

The rooms are a bit outdated. Definitely could of used some cleaning. There were only a few TV channels that actually worked. On a positive note the Inn is a short walk to the boardwalk. Room was very spacious and to my suprise continental breakfast was served. Only would stay here again if prices were outrageous anywhere else. I recommend paying a bit for a better place to stay.

I checked in on a Friday and I met an employee by the name Luis and he was friendly and respectful. I asked for two pillows and without any questions he gave me what I needed. There was 3 Indian employees at the front desk speaking their language in which I think and feel this very disrespectful. If I ever go back again I will ask for only him.

Well, where do I start? When my boyfriend and I pulled up to the establishment, we frankly were afraid to even get out of the car. We reluctantly grabbed our bags and entered the dirty cigarette smell filled building that obviously has had zero care and attention. We checked in and was given our room key. We hopped on the rickety elevator and headed up to the 10th floor, the hallway had stained walls and carpet with peeling wallpaper and mold. Our room was filthy. I brought lysol wipes and disinfected the room while my boyfriend had to go park the car off a dark alley to a dirt lot. Our room had filthy hairy stained sheets, gross carpet, cigarette smells and suspicious stains everywhere. It was so bad that we couldn't even stay. We checked out and the guy asked my boyfriend if he could "pay him a dollar later" because he didn't have change. He basically paid $72 for us to be skeeved out and scared for 30 minutes. They do not care or give refunds. Basically, it's a scary, gross sketchy place with crackhead and "escorts" living there. Don't stay there!

We went for a concert in Atlantic city. There are some shady people inside and out of this place. The area is also very shady. The lobby is old and very dated. We checked in took our bags to our room and left for dinner and our show. When we returned is when we saw the discusting condition of the room. The bed cover was covered in stains that looked like a porno was filmed on it. The sheets all had curly hairs all over them which leads me to believe the bed was made with dirty sheets. We were so discusted we checked out that night without sleeping in that dirty bed and headed home. This place is not worth staying in at all and it seems people are living there as well. Our hallway was filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke. This place is filthy from top to bottom.

The worst I've ever experienced. The room and bed were filthy, the shower was stopped up, room smelled like smoke. Don't let the pictures fool u. This place is a complete dump. Was in town to see the R. Kelly show on February 13th 2016. Refused to sleep in that filthy bed, so we checked out after the show and chalked that dumped up as a lost.

My wife was trying to save us money because we had to travel down to AC for a cheerleading competition. Well we have decided that I will be doing the booking in the future. Baymont Inn and suites… is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Plus the management really didn't care about our issues. 1) no heat in the living room area… At first they said we had to wait 24 hrs for the repair guy to come look at it. Then we complained and to shut us up they sent the guy who couldn't fix it and then recommended that we change rooms but management wouldn't switch our room not to mention the window in that room was broken. The furniture was more like a rec room and the beds really didn't have comforters on them. We checked the mattresses for bed bugs but found non. The bathroom was gross shower was dirty and the sink followed suit. The continental breakfast was more of a get together for guest to tell each other their horror stories. Plus went into the men's room in the lobby and it stank of old urine and I almost puked. If you have an alternative don't stay here. It's really not worth the savings.

FOR YOUR SAFETY, I BEG YOU TO READ THIS! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! I know this is very long, but please read. I booked this hotel with booking. Com, I am sad to say. I had very high hopes for this past weekend. I am a hard working middle class person who was going to a dental convention in Atlantic City for the weekend. I could not afford to stay in one of the very expensive, and very nice casino properties. I found this place for $127.00 a night, additional $10.00 a day to park in a "secure parking" area. First of all… the pictures are not real. The parking garage is NON OPERATIONAL. It is closed & dark. Please note: this hotel is not being renovated. It is truly a dump and thats just the way it is. When they say they are renovating, that is just A BOLD FACED LIE. The first room I was given was on the 12th floor We stepped out of the elevator and it was about 98 degrees. I must say, this place has probably never seen fresh air PROBABLY FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE BEEN ALIVE!. The door to the room was slightly open when we arrived. We pushed it open. All the lights and TV were on. Dirty tiissues on the floor, the bed was unmade and the TV was on. I found a empty "baggie" on the floor. Funny thing is, the 2 room keys were sitting right on the dresser. I truly believe that someone was taken from that room against their will. I sound crazy right? lol. As we go to leave, now the door is STUCK SHUT and no matter what we do we can not get out!.

We were there July 31st and August 1st… location was amazing. The rooms… had an issue with the ac in bedroom but when addressed it was fixed. It is in renovation stage… which you can see but all in all it was clean and livable… that was (to us) the most important. The desk staff was ok. The one gentleman that checked us in was phenomenal. Didn't get his name but was friendly and willing to help. Some others (? ) well not so much. It has an old world feeling to it and when the renos are ALL finished I'm sure IT WILL BE AMAZING. We would definitely stay again! Thanx!

I was skeptical about going after reading the reviews, however after arriving in was pleasantly surprised. This is not a 5 star hotel, however if u need somewhere close to everything that is clean and decent this is the place. The staff was very helpful, Sam was extremely helpful and friendly and nice and accomodating. The room to my surprise was big and spacious and clean. It was all I needed.

Before going there read the reviews. My mistake is that I didn't read them and booketed the hotel room. It was the worst hotel ever. Management is terrible, service is 100 time worst. Everything is dirty and someone tried to open our hotel room after 1am at night. It was really scary, we had to call the cops. People that work there, didn't do anything about it. Wife is not working. Defiantly my biggest waste of money.

If you have any brains, STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. The management is awful. They don't care about you or your stay, just the money. The sheets and bedding are dirty. The bath tub had leftover sand from the last stay. The Wi-Fi doesn't work after the first floor. The A/C didn't work. The first night me and my girlfriend stayed here, someone tried to break in our room. Luckily, we made sure the door was shut all the way and locked (you have to force the door to shut all the way). We called the cops and thankfully the cops were nice. We went downstairs the next morning and asked if they heard anything from the cops, and they just looked at us like we were crazy and said "no sorry" and started talking in their language. Oh, and the housekeeping doesn't knock, they just try to open the door when they're ready. Again I advise all of you to use your brains, and STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

I'm reading a lot of reviews on here that recount traumatizing experiences or abhorrent treatment, but I didn't have many problems at all. After a brief hiccup (originally sending us to a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room), everything went smoothly. The hotel is indeed under construction as of July 2015, but none of the construction hindered our stay. For what we paid (the cheapest hotel in AC that would fit our needs), the hotel was fantastic. The room was clean, everything worked, and the staff was always helpful and eager to help. That's basically everything I'd expect out of a hotel, and it led to a very relaxing stay on the shore. I'm only rating it four stars because the parking was a little deceiving at first; their website listed onsite parking but hid deep within the description that there was a "nominal charge" for parking (the attendant charged us $10/night, which was acceptable for Atlantic City). Additionally, the wireless internet was spotty at best, but given this was a VACATION, I could live with an unreliable internet connection for a few days.

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. If you don't feel like reading this long review: my girlfriend and I stayed no longer than 3 hours at this place and she is traumatized by the experience. We booked a room here because we made last minute plans and it seems like a reasonable price for a good location. In retrospect, I should have considered WHY there were rooms available at this place only 2 days in advance. We arrived and (as everyone else has mentioned) it was under construction. Even though it was only their entrance under construction, the rest of the place was covered in splattered paint and spackle. For us, this was a red flag but we really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We got to our room and at first glance, everything seemed great! Until we saw the bed covered in wrinkled sheets and dirty pillows. Disgusted, but with no other options for the night, we went downstairs and requested fresh bedding. We return an hour later and are relieved to find (sort of) clean bedding. However, there's a faint but WEIRD smell in the room, and at first I just write it off as it being because it's an old building. We get ready for the night and were laying in bed waiting for dinner reservations when my girlfriend starts sniffing — sniffing me, the sheets; the weird smell seems stronger.

Would not recommend this hotel. Customer service was awful. Our stay was very unpleasant. Our room was dirty, Called for extra towels an hour after we checked in and never received them had to hunt down house keeping the next day. Our room was never cleaned, beds never got made, trash cans never emptied. And the continental breakfast was a joke. Extremely disappointed.

This hotel is currently under construction as of july 2015. Very early into construction; everything still looks a giant mess. The only redeeming quality about this hotel is that the water pressure is good and the hot water lasts a while. However, the positives stop there. I booked this hotel because it was within my price range and it was close to both the boardwalk and the Boardwalk Hall, where I had concert tickets on 7/17/15. Additionally, the hotel advertised complimentary continental breakfast (which many hotels offer), flat screen tv, and conveniently located ice machines. Unfortunately, I discovered upon arriving that the hotel is under construction. I was not informed of this when I booked the room. I arrived at my room to find paint stains on the carpets, my bed sheets were torn in multiple places, and the bathroom was dingy. Strike one. I went out to attend my concert on Friday, and when I came back I wanted to get some ice before bed. The ice machine on my floor (8th) was not working. I went down to the 7th and 6th floors, neither were working. I had to go to the lobby and ask the front desk person about ice. The only working ice machine is on the 14th floor. Strike two. Saturday morning I went downstairs to find out that breakfast would not be provided due to the construction. Strike three. I spent the rest of my Saturday at the beach, and I checked out at 7:45am on Sunday although I didn’t need to check out until 11am.

We went against our better judgement (and Tripadvisor guest rating of 1.5/5) and decided to book an overnight stay at Baymont for my brother, and two of our friends for July 4th weekend. Given that it was July 4th and we made a sort of last minute booking, we did expect the prices to be high. But $400 (after using a separate promo code), for a room at this “hotel” definitely seemed excessive. We thought “how bad could it possibly be. It is a hotel. It must maintain some standard. ” Wrong. We checked in at around 4 pm and the guy at the front desk handed us the parking ticket, and told us to pay $20. My brother had already checked the rates online so he corrected him. The guy at the front desk was unapologetic, and reduced it to the actual rate of $10 and told us that the parking was valid for 24 hrs. Whatever. We paid and parked our car, and rode up the elevator to our room on the 5th floor. After a 3 hr drive from NYC, we obviously wanted to freshen up before making our way to the casino. Some of us had held our bladder during our drive to empty it in a clean hotel bathroom. You’d think we could actually do so. Well, think again. They gave us two bathrooms with no soap in either. Fine, I called the front desk and they said they’d have it sent over. After waiting an hour we decided to just head out. When we asked at the front desk about the soap, he said they had run out and handed us some more shampoo. It really doesn’t get more ridiculous than this.

DO not go there! first of all the owners/ front desk guys are really rude and don't care about the customers at all! We asked for a low level room with Wi-Fi and a double bedroom. The parking is not free I paid $10.00 for 24 hrs which is not so bad then we checked in they gave us a room on the 10th floor, when we got inside the room it looked decent but a soon as I walked in to the room one of the bathrooms was dirty, the toilet had a huge piece of poop and I found hair on the floor. The phone line wasn't working either the Wi-Fi, the AC in the room wasn't working only was throwing hot air! We called the company and told us to go down stairs and let them know which we did and the front desk guy told us we would go and fix it in 10 minutes… we waited 4 hrs and nothing. It was 1am we called the company again and they said the same thing, so we spoke with front desk guy and he said the only thing he could do is giving us another room, I have a 1year old baby so obviously she was sleeping at that time, she woke at almost 2am so we changed rooms at the 4th floor which it didn't had a sofa bed and only one bathroom not like the other room that had 2. A bed bug bite my mom, I also found toys I am assuming it was from last customers so I am sure they didn't changed the sheets and didn't cleaned the room. The breakfast was gross, they only had some unflavored waffles and some cheap bread and bagels.

I've stayed at places all across the trip-state area and this was BY FAR the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Not only was there a lack of A/C, they had windows that, at one time, did open and now are sealed / painted closed. I nicely asked for some relief of the 1000 degree room and finally, after 5 inquires, was told at 10:30 PM that I could leave. Thats rich coming from a hotel manager. The rooms are fairly nice (I did check for bedbugs), but they haven't been kept up and it seems like the manager could care less as long as the lobby was comfortable and he received your cash. To top it off, the elevators didn't work and we had to trek up to the 9th floor via the stairway. avoid this place at all costs. P. S. — if you must stay here, get the room w/o the hair in the bathroom…

Two star hotel with a no star attitude. There is way too much wrong with this place right now. Stay elsewhere! 1. The lobby was under construction and the crew they had working there couldn't speak English to help direct you around problem areas 2. Elevator wait times are astoundingly long. 3. Continental Breakfast — No fruit, no waffles, waffle irons cold, no coffee, no juice 4. In room heater/ac not working. It blows air, just not hot or cold 5. Water in showers doesn't get hot. It gets warm, but that's about it. 6. Having to walk 2 flights of stairs to get to elevator most of the time (due to construction) 7. Loud banging in halls after midnight. There is much more wrong with this place, but that should be enough for this review. On the good side, Ballys Casino is a block in one direction and 7 Eleven is a block in the other.

Oh god. Whatever god you believe in (if any) pray to them you had the good sense to go somewhere else. Baymont Inn has got to be, literally, the most run-down hotel ran by incompetent slackies I have ever seen! I have stayed in many hotels and motels in my life, this is literally the worst. Paint is chipping, there were hairs in the shower BEFORE we used it, AC / heat doesn't work. I asked them to clean the room the first day we were there, I came back and nothing had changed. Twice this happened! I had enough sense to check for bedbugs, which I could not find — surprisingly. Seriously. Avoid. Just. Avoid.

The k price put on the internet. It is one and at the end. You're paying $20. Mas. Only that I didn't like.

At first I thought since its close to the Board walk it wouldnt be that bad. However the hotel forgot to mention that they are going renovations. There was only one elevator (service elevator) available, in which you have to go through the dinning area to the back of the building. The carpet smelled and reep uncleanliness. My room had small holes in the couch and the AC in the bedroom didnt work. The only thing good about the hotel was that they had to New TVs and two bathroom (one shower one tub) Untill we found a live bedbug on the bathroom wall. We ran out of there and got our money back though Expedia. The concierge at night (11pm) was also the manager on duty. While I was complaining to her she had to constantly leave the desk to check other guest complaints. She wasnt really concern or shocked about it. The building at night had little kids running around sitting on the steps on the building. It looked more like an extended stay motel. Stay at motel instead.

Let me begin by explaining that neither I nor my girlfriend are in any way picky or high maintenance. We simply wanted a hotel to spend a weekend in AC and figured "we will only be sleeping there" since most of our getaway was to be spent on the beach/boardwalk and the Baymont was a cheap local alternative. We ignored the one star ratings and experienced first-hand the deplorable/unsanitary/unsafe conditions listed in every review. Read Carefully: NEVER STAY HERE! First off the place is in the ghetto, when we arrived, there was a police car parked down the block; take it for what its worth. We got a deal on Groupon, and upon arrival had to pay $5 per night convenience fee cash which went right into the middle-aged Indian man's pocket along with our parking fee; which by the way, dont pay to park, just rip up a piece of scrap paper and write "paid" on it, that is the parking pass you"ll receive anyway. He must have been distracted by the wad of cash in his pocket because he didnt even bother to give us keys to the room. The room was a dump! The doors didnt close completely, and anyone can get in the room if they wanted to. Our sheets were never changed from when the last victim's stayed there, the showers were grimey, there was rust on the floor, our room was never vaccuumed, the wash clothes, towels, and soaps weren't replaced.

Honestly I don't really need to say much that the other 1 star ratings already said for me. We had to switch rooms 2 times because the first had the ac broken which was spilling out 150 degree air in the room. The second room had some dudes in it watching the World Cup. You have to pay for parking. Most of the people barely speak English. The breakfast was atrocious, you'd be better off standing in the homeless food line down the street. Oh, did I mention the fact that the hotel is located in the hood of Atlantic City? On numerous occasions I feared for mine and my girlfriends' lives. Also, at one point we came back from the beach covered in sand and couldn't take a shower because the "pipe exploded". So instead of hot water, black slime shot out at us when you turned the hot water on. The maid neglected to change our bedding or clean our room the entire time we were there. The hotel was at least a constant 95 degrees. If the building didn't smell rotten when you got in, don't fret, because when you get off the elevator you will be immediately smacked in the face with another atrocious smell. Just don't do it brother, it's not worth it.

Where's the 1 star choice? I wouldn't bother with this place. Where to start? Reserved the hotel through Groupon and was forced to pay an extra "service fee" once I arrived at the desk in cash. Pretty sure owner just looking to get paid more under the table. No available parking through the hotel. Entire place smells awful and bedrooms smell of mold. Rooms were dark with little lighting. No lamps were available in the rooms and most of the outlets didn't even work. The floors are all uneven and the carpets don't even reach some of the walls so some of the under flooring is exposed. Really? Bathrooms have a permanent smell of body odor and not quite sure taking a shower makes you come out and cleaner than you went in. Beds and sheets appear to be shredding apart. Don't bother if you're looking for a cheaper hotel most of the casinos will sell you cheaper and you'll be right on the boardwalk. Ughhhhhhh.
