Reviews of Bally's Atlantic City Hotel & Casino 3*
Fantastic staff at The carousel bar — Jim the bartender is excellent and personable also Jody and the frank was very hospitable as well.
Nice place to stay and gamble. Food variety very good.
We had a terrible customer service experience. An employee at the Casino cafe cursed at us and was very aggressive towards our party which was frightening. When we asked to speak with a food and beverage or senior level manager, there was no one in the entire hotel that would speak with us. We left our phone number and email and have not received any response for two days. When there is a very distressed customer, it is unacceptable for there to be no one on property to assist. It is bad for business and leaves the employees unsupported.
Staff was very professional, rooms was clean.
Very clean, great personal working there.
They had the friendliest staff on the boardwalk. Suzy was excellent server.
Awesome customer service, fast check-in I like everything about this hotel.
Dirty carpets in the hotel. Good food restaurants closed. Open Thursday — Sunday. Kiosk check-in was broke. Elevators were slow. Etc.
My wife and I stayed here for one night. The Dunkin' Donuts was disgusting. It was dirty. The employees are rude. It took 45 minutes to get a coffee and we was 4th in line. I told the manager maybe they should clean up around there. Unfortunately my wife loves DD so we went back 4 hours later and it was eve dirtier. The same trash was where it was earlier but this time there was more trash just laying around. Tables where sticky. So I decided let me go get a drink from the bar and cool down. I have to admit it was frustrating to pay $400 on a dated hotel with a dirty Dunkin' Donuts. I asked for a Corona. They told me they didn't have a Corona in the whole hotel. I was just in disbelief. Not to mention there was only one person at the front desk working. So checking in and out was a mess. I do not recommend a stay in this hotel 😒 Don't waste your time or money.
I use to love Ballys it’s my go to place and I would recommend it to others. However I came to enjoy my Mother’s Day weekend worse experience I ever had. Staff is RUDE the Manager is Cocky and rude I guess him and the front desk lady are friends. My reservations was screwed up I requested for a smoking room & they put me down for non smoking. I book the room months in advance so that I can get a smoking room guaranteed. Going outside in the rain to smoke sucks. The front desk lady had a bad attitude and kept reminding me that I was in a COMP ROOM A FREE ROOM… with all the money I lose gambling nothing is FREE. I never win EVER! I asked her if she can switch me from the Dennis tower because I didn’t request it SHE WENT OFF ABOUT HOW IM STAYING IN A FREE ROOM AND THE DENNIS TOWER IS FOR COMP ROOMS WITH A VERY NASTY ATTITUDE AS SHE WAS GOING IN TO CHANGE IT. I asked to speak to a manager she went in the office they talked & he came out just as rude as her & he wouldn’t switch the room. I’ll never stay here again Ceasers treat you way better. I’m so disappointed in Ballys the pool is still down it’s always construction going on & I never win here. I will not be recommending it to anyone! When it’s time to do surveys it will no longer be considered the best. I didn’t feel welcomed they made me feel like trash the way that the MANAGER SPOKE TO ME I WANTED TO CRY I WAS SO CALM. They told me to try for a smoking room in the morning.
The Staff are very nice and helpful. They also give out very nice Reward Gifts.
My family has had top tier status here for decades. We reserved an ocean view room and ended up with a parking garage view in a room that hasn’t been updated since the 80’s and wasn’t clean when we arrived. Most of the staff is pleasant and helpful but the few who aren’t definitely outshine those who are. Things have changed. When Caesars owned this property it was always clean and the staff were always amazing and the rooms were clean and we never had a reservation issue. I’m thinking we won’t be staying or gambling here anymore.
Great prices looking better not out dated anymore.
I would NEVER recommend bally's to anyone not even my worst enemy. The room was dirty and the bathroom was even worse I'm going back to the borgota.
Great location, atmosphere and restaurants.
My favorite adult playground. Been coming here for over twenty years. Best service from our Host Joe Silvagni.
Great restaurant. Water Dog. Great breakfast & waitress. Elisa was really good.
Perfect central location in AC. Right on the world famous boardwalk. Direct access to one of the best beaches. Great Beach Bar! Nice casino. Best Sportsbook in the city at FanDuel.
Great location! I’m looking forward to proposed renovations.
Wonderful people work there, always pleasant and helpful!
Hopefully more people are hired especially in the restaurants as well as in housekeeping. I understand the understaffing but waiting over 2 hours for food after being seated at Water Dogs at lunchtime was disappointing and it wasn’t even busy. Personally I wish they had stayed non smoking. It’s one of the worst parts of being in AC Casinos.
Be Bold and give us healthier choices.
Let COVID teach us all to be committed to a better atmosphere inside and out 💟☮️
They could use a update on the rooms, but very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly.
Great casino hotel nice and clean Freddy's staff friendly staff good customers great price on the tables.
Love to new look, great atmosphere, super friendly staff… I will be back.
Fun. Nice servers. On the boardwalk. Great time.
We are having a great time. Nice clean room, kiing bed and room with a ocean view. Huge casino, friendly staff, old school slot and tons of new one I never seen. Great food in every price range. Glad we came. Can't wait until. Tomorrow!
My room was on the 47th floor. I truly recommend that 👌. The night view was everything. Bathroom💞💋 was fabulous along with the room. Room services in 30 min💋💞🐺🤑♊🔥🔥
Room was nice with a beautiful view. The casino floor was properly cleaned for covoid and social distancing was endorsed properly. From check in to check out. Well done Bally’s.
Had to change rooms a few times as room was not very clean. Then asked to just get upgraded room and they gave me a price of double what is was on the self checkin kiosk. When asked why price was different lady just said front desk has different prices hmmm don’t sound right but whatever. Now my wife and I remember why we stopped staying at Bally’s and now stay at Caesar’s or most of the time hard rock.
Overall great service and good food.
The hotel is located on the boardwalk in the middle of everything. Staff is friendly, rooms are nice and spacious, loved the bed. If you don’t want to leave the hotel you don’t have to they have plenty of restaurants, the casino is a nice size, we will definitely stay here again.
We really liked it here. The staff was amazing and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was will super comfortable. We had an amazing view of the boardwalk and ocean. The casino was clean and so much fun. Every part of our weekend stay was amazing and we are already planning our next trip!
Leaving the hotel a day early. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Our room was dirty, we had to have a heavily stained comforter replaced. The room looked nothing like the picture. Super disappointing. The cherry on this sundae was when the employees in the parking garage yell, as we pull up to the booth "SALTY CRACKERS! " and start laughing. The employee handling us laughed and repeated it to the next booth. We were not wearing anything political. We don't have bumper stickers. Just trying to go home. Tolerant people using racial slurs against people minding their business. First and last time I'll ever come here.
Great room and casino is great.
The food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
It was my first time there and I fall in love with the place, wonderful place to enjoy and I love the most guy restaurant I love the chicken it was my favorite it remains me the chicken in Jamaica they do almost the same way. I love all. Thanks for such amazing place.
Clean and friendly service busy fun social.
Great service great food and clean rooms!
They enforce feelings and made up imaginary polices. No personal skills when dealing with the public. My civil right were trampled on without any hesitation. Very unprofessional and sad.
The whole experience is wonderful, I just celebrated my bday there alone and found so much to do and the staff was so kind and friendly.
A lil bet of everything from Casino/food. Hotel staff etc.
Great facility, great staff and lots to do connected to Caesars. Right on the boardwalk. I’m not sharing everything or I won’t be able to get a room!
Worst 2 nights ever! I will NOT stay at Bally again, Not even if the room was free, Stayed Dec 13-15 2019, Rooms was GROSS! Walked in the hall way all you smelled was Skunk Weed, The other guest were very loud yelling and screaming in the hall way, Cigarette butts all along the floor in the hall way, Not one person at the desk cared when it was brought to there attention … Some of the staff were extremely rude as if they couldn’t be bothered, Never ever again! Bally’s Thank You for an horrible stay.
No problem. Staff was amazing. Nice view.
The hotel is nice rooms clean and staff are nice.
Had a great trip, and everything was fabulous. Friendly staff and love that there is a dunkin open 24-7. We will return.
Love it here! Nice, big rooms, great casino, friendly staff, lots of restaurants to choose from.
Great staff! Friendly and helpful.
Room was clean. Looking forward to a return stay.
Well. If they didn’t comp a room for $32 a night? Still not worth it. Would not stay there. Noisy neighbors all night. Dirty room but that’s what you get when it’s a comp I guess joined Hard Rock Casino which was clean & had decent restaurants. Time to change my allegiance. Total rewards is a joke.
Used to be good many years ago no more, definitely a 1 rated hotel. Turned into a dirty dump.
The rooms are spacious and have fantastically comfortable beds! they offer many delicious restaurants in the casino itself as well! went to the AC Jokes show on Sunday night and it was very good… the comics were really funny and the bartenders make great cocktails!
Great place, good price, great experience.
Great drinks, great atmosphere, close to the beach, had a great time!
Nice room & clean. All staffs are nice & very helpfull I love it.
Great place to stay. Very clean! Friendly staff! Beach is just off the boardwalk exit!
Overall good experience; customer service was great, people were friendly. The room and casino were clean. However, the slots were tight during our stay. But, that's gambling for you!
Room was more reasonably priced than other places in AC but the casino is out dated. Quite a few slot machines are not working properly
Nice view from the room & clean comfortable bed Good to stay but not to play.
This is our first time visiting Atlantic City, and our last! Bally’s was absolutely appalling! Filthy, old, broken down and horrible staff. We were only there less than 18 hours and we were stuck in the elevator at least seven times. The only redeeming thing was our view from our room.
Our room was clean and nice, with a wonderful view. However, the coffee maker wasn't working. We wanted to use it to get some hot water but it didn't work. When we called room service we were told to contact Dunkin Donuts. Of course, it was closed. I know it was 10pm @ night but sometimes you just want a cup of tea before bedtime. I think they're trying to drive their guests to the restaurants.
We were in Vegas earlier in the summer, and did not expect the same service in AC. We were wrong! Such polite valets, and valet is so affordable, though they were a bit understaffed. Bellboy was at our car immediately, and bags were handled well coming and going by talkative, nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom beautiful, though we could have used more towels. Sack o Subs is the best breakfast, with such great staff, and Harry's was a very nice meal. Beach access is convenient, clean, and nice. I can't speak on gambling areas because I was recovery from illness, so was too tired for that in the evenings. We stayed in the old Dennison Hotel part and loved it's central location and easier walks for me when not feeling well. We will definately be back!
They upgraded us to a suite for free because our room was taken. They were quick and courteous. It's a nice place to stay and explore the boardwalk. The casino is connected to Cesar's and wild wild west. We played blackjack for a few hours and there was only one fun dealer out of the bunch, they could definitely stand to improve in this area. It was a good time and we didn't run into any problems. The $5 blackjack 24/7 is only on machines and not at the tables. This table prices go up as the night goes on. You're likely to find $15 tables, less common $10 tables do exist. Good luck!
Excellent location right on the boardwalk with beach access. Some of the rooms have great Ocean views. Rooms are dated, but competitive nightly rates are offered if you are john rewards program for free and book through their site. Several restaurants and bars on-site between hotel-casino-boardwalk area. Parking is either self or valet. You receive a coupon at check in to make it really cheap or free. Full price is $10 for self or $25 for valet.
I basically came here for the atmosphere and specials. It's a pure party with live music on stage and a dj, tons of people on the dance floor. $5 blackjack tables, $1hot dogs and $3 beers. The renovations here were smart, even have beer pong tables. Slots are in another room and if you keep walking through the rear of the casino floor you'll find the poker rooms in a quiet area. Love this place and will most definitely stop by again and again.
I planned this mini vacation with my little cousin a month and half in advance. When we got there the room wasn't ready so we went for a bite to eat. Got a text message when the room was ready. Check in was a breeze. Plus Got a $20 food credit for the wait. Got to the room, slipped the key card in And oh my. The room was beautiful. Clean and had a wonderful view of the beach. Room service was great. The casinos was great. Clean and the selection of music played was great. Check out was also a breeze with the simple fast check out machine. Return keys, get a printout of Bill. Can also get it sent via email. And on your way. I will definitely look into another stay for summer 2019.
Checked in was told the room was ready. Get to the room there is old food in the fridge. The room smells of throw up. Bathroom dirty. No toilet paper. Carpet was dirty and stained. Was told room had a view. Sure of the side of a building. The hotel smelled like old smoke. Not to mention they wanted to charge an extra 10 dollars a person to use a pool. The hot tubs where all cold. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Would have been better off sleeping on the beach.
Nasty dirty room… this place is so disgusting. The carpeting is old and stained. There is a half drank bottle of water in the fridge and you can see the beds are sunken in the middle. Certainly wouldn’t pay the $5 to use the pool… the glass doors going into the pool area are so smeared with yuk you wouldn’t even want to touch the door handles… and food all over the carpeting going into the area. Don’t they ever clean this nasty place… best thing Bally’s could do is tear this nasty place down!
The Hotel was very nice. Two issues, at Harrah's you do not have to pay to use the pool here you do. And I have an issue where the toilet paper holder was you couldn't sit on the toilet it's because it was right there. We had to remove the toilet paper to sit. On the great side Ballys bends over backwards to make this a great stsy. Very compfortable room. And the staff is soooo friendly and warm and not fake. Will definitely be back.
Wish I could give zero stars. Disgusting and horrible and we were treated like dirt for not wanting to accept a filthy run down broken room with leaking toilet and bugs. The room had two broken sinks which were also clogged, a leaking toilet, ketchup and chicken on the floor upon arrival, dust and dirt everywhere. No apology was offered not even an offer to be moved from the filth. Only apology we got was two rolls of toilet paper and two tissue boxes on bed as some sort of peace offering? They charge $10 per person for the pool which is an embarrassing disgrace. Bandaids, floating paper, rocks, dirt, bottle caps, safety pins, hair, cherries, straws all over the floor right when they opened in morning hate to see what it looks like by the end of the day. Broken whirlpools. All we got told about the filth was “I’ll have someone take a look” no I’m sorry and no I’ll send the cleaning person over to clean it. She was too busy either sitting over to the side on her phone or outside pretending to sweep something. Disgraceful.
Staff was very friendly. The location itself is very convenient and there are so many different options outside of the casino and resort nearby. Stayed overnight and parking was included, which is nice. Drinks are discounted if you're at the casino and order while playing for those who may not know. Recommend checking it out. Pool and spa wasn't bad either with several hot tubs and the pool itself being indoor with an outside pool area overlooking the beach and boardwalk.
Sadly what happened after the visit led to this review. I along with a family member left a couple of items in our room when we checked out. The next day we called to see if anyone had picked it up. Was told we had to file a complaint for lost and found. (Mind you it was never lost, just left behind accidentally) After filing the complaint we got a notice back saying the items were not found and closed. Not even 24 hours and suddenly they can’t be found! Calling back we had to be sent to the housekeeping supervisors line and leave a voicemail. The line went over 20 minutes long with no voicemail! And we’ve done this twice, still no response. Very saddening.
Nice hotel I like the wild west theme of it. It is a little bit outdated than the rest of the hotels. The casino is shared with Caesars which is nice as well as it connects to Caesars. Friday and Saturday nights they have live bands on the casino floor which is very fun. Overall a nice hotel but needs some renovations.
I spent most of my night in the Wild Wild West, which was an impressive venue. Had tables available in the middle of the room, while the NHL and NBA playoffs played visibly around the room. The service was good, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for AC standards. The crowd was younger, 22-35 on average, but everyone came prepared to have a good time and they weren't let down. The cadence of the night was set by the band playing before a large dancefloor which was the centerpiece of the room.
Only visited the casino, clean, helpful staff. Easy to reach, even by bus directly from new York, in addition to the ample parking.
My Favorite Hotel / Casino in Atlantic City. Large Casino great layout. Diamond Club has an incredible view. Beach Bar is a lot of fun. Live Country music in the Wild West great bar specials. What makes Bally's so special are the people that work there. Everyone is Welcome.
Good place for our 4 day visit. Food and entertainment all within a short walk. Only issue is, and I understand, is that kids (even 16 year olds) aren't allowed to even walk through or on casino floor. To be clear… in order to get to places like Johnny Rockets or the Boardwalk you have to walk through and on the casino. Or you can walk through the main hotel entrance and walk the distance of 2-3 blocks around the building to get to the Boardwalk. Also security could learn some basic respect for patrons. NOT a family friendly establishment.
Rooms are very clean, because we came relatively late, they assigned us to a suite with a living room, very beautiful, and the price is also cheap, very satisfied.
This place is a solid hotel in a solid casino and it always has been. The staff is friendly, the rooms are always nice and clean. The price is reasonable. Especially during the middle of the week. Summers can be a bit high-priced. The food is good. There's lots of selections on where you can eat. There's plenty of bars in case you want to get all loaded up. The only drawback is they don't have enough, in my opinion, blackjack tables open. Sometimes it is hard to find an open table with the amount that you wants to bet.
Very nice Resort, the rooms are large and functional! Very good reception and staff smiling. The facilities are good, too bad that you have to pay a $5/day/person access to get to the pool. Several restaurants are present in the complex, there are many choices, but it is a bit expensive, better to eat outside. Very nice casino hotel, the week stay is hyper affordable!
My visit to Bally's was fun! The energy is there is one of fun and excitement. My father was the one who originally told me to enroll in their rewards program. I really like how the more you go the more you earn. It makes you have something extra to look forward to for each trip.
MY FAVORITE! $$$$$ The only hotel casino that I stay at. The jubilee rooms are beautiful, I always stay in the Bally's tower which has nice views. If you dont care about a view, stay in the Dennis tower and save money. The staff is amazing and bends over backwards for you. They give great comps to reward members. Great location on the boardwalk and connected to Caesar's, which also has a nice casino. Highly recommended!
Security guard was rude, my wife put her head on my shoulder, they accused my wife of sleeping. I will not give them the good score they are looking for. treat your diamond players the way you are supposed too, not like second classed citizens. Hope more people see this and understand if you are in a Casino at 4:00 am, if they think you are sleeping, they will miss judge you, and tell you to leave the casino. When she looked at security and stated she hadn't been sleeping, but just wanted to show me her affection, they ridiculously told her she had been sleeping, security guards in Atlantic City, must be perfect in every way, they are never wrong. Everything they see and misjudge has to be in their favor, it wouldn't be harassment if it was something plain and simple.
Very nice rooms. Near the beach. Swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna.
We recently stayed at Bally's in an upgraded suite. The room was very nice. We didn't notice that the refrigerator was turned off but what a great idea that is to conserve energy. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Bally's is a great place to stay and play. We enjoyed breakfast at dunkin donuts and happy hour at the L Bar. Overall we had a great time and will be back soon!
Bally's is the most centrally located casino on the AC boardwalk. It is large and a little confusing to navigate. My husband and I enjoy the Dennis tower. The rooms look out to a courtyard and it is a very distinct historical building. Unfortunately during the summer noise from courtyard entertainment can be off putting. If you are a fan of Caesar's entertainment being a diamond member has excellent perks. The diamond lounge at Bally's is very large and has a very good selection of food. The pool/fitness area is expansive. Hot tubs are always on high heat and full pulsation. The added attraction in summer is the outdoor pool bar. Overlooking the boardwalk and Ocean the deck is a secluded hideaway from the expense of gambling.
Came here with a bunch of friends. The hotel is nice. The beds are ok though I prefer my bed at home. But they're not so bad but still. My friends were waiting for drinks forever that never came when they were gambling and when they asked the bartenders they were rude with them. The pool and hot tub was amazing! My favorite part of the trip. The elevators went up and down so fast it hurt my head so I had to stand in the corners. But overall it was a nice stay.
Nice hotel, interesting casino.
The halls with very little light and very outdated.
The service was very good! The staff were very friendly.
Stayed in a ocean view room. Seemed and felt clean enough. Didn't stay in the rooms long, time was well spent on the tables. Amenities and towels are provided but toiletries were not. Front desk said we had to buy them from the gift shop.
Service is very good. They have a variety on dishes. It's also close as in walking distance to the boardwalk, or other eateries. Security helpful I think they notice every move you make. In short they're always alert. This is good.
It was a decent hotel, but in almost every bathroom through the whole building, the stall walls were literally pulling out of the wall, how can you charge so much but leave so many things unattended? There was a bathroom next to Dunkin Donuts and there was wallpaper peeling off the wall in the hallway to the bathrooms. You would think with the prices they charge they would at least take care of the building and do minor repairs. Beautiful area but not managed very well, the employees were extremely helpful whenever we had a question or just needed directions.
I had a great time out with my wife. The games were fun. Everything was very clean and the staff was nice. The meatball sub at Guy's was amazing too. A great experience. I'll be back.
My other half & I met some new friends at a glittering restaurant/bar in Bally's. (I don't remember the name, sorry) The waitress that took our food order for snacks was really friendly & outgoing, and we all (5 of us) talked with her for quite a while. She told us things about Atlantic City, places to go, etc. Great stuff to know, if you wanted to have a lot of fun. We decided to go out on a fishing / charter boat she recommended. EXCELLENT! Great fun! I almost caught a fish!
Ballys and Harra's is the worst option they treat you in the worst way and then you do not return your deposit of 100 dollars and you charge to the credit card everything you can be very careful with this.
Impressive infrastructure and comfortable facilities.
Bally's is an enjoyable place to stay. Bally's Tower has nice rooms. Especially during off-peak, active Total Rewards members usually get good special pricing on hotel stays. The pool/spa is great. My main gripe is that it feels like they are not customer-centric, and really try to nickel-and-dime you.
It is a real experience of enjoyment no matter if you go to the casino to play or just to enjoy a good rest. In my reservation I received a credit of $20 dollars to enjoy at the bar, and another for both food and snacks, the room was imbaleable and the service great.
“tried their jackpot machine… It’s fun” I did know much about betting, but I tried slot machines and it was fun. The casino looks awesome. Staff are there to help you. Waitress roam around for a drink. You can order them. I did not play on the table but overall it was fun. There is way inside to Caesars and Wild Wild West casino.
Love to gamble at Bally's! Lots of great penny and quarter games, I love both. The people that work there are always very nice and helpful. Plus they offer the best restaurants.
Loved my stay at this hotel/casino. Clean room, fresh towels and toiletries refill without delays or inconvenience. Drinks are complimentary in the casino which I loved, just don't forget to tip the hostess and they'll ensure you get your drink right away. Staff was helpful in guiding me the right way to my room.
Worst casino in Atlantic city. Went there and tried to get a players club card had to go to 3 different places in there to get one finally got one n there was nothing for new players. Pit bosses were very rude. Won't ever go there again. They were so rude that I didn't spend a dime there. Want a great atmosphere go to resorts they treat you like a king. Bally's games are old needs some major updates. I could go on forever about how disappointed I was. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Bally's is great if you know what you're going for. The wild west is fantastic but a huge party spot. It's great energy and a lot of rowdiness which is fun and brings new life to the late night hours. The poker room is nice and clean. The rooms could be nicer and are a bit outdated but you won't spend too much time there.
I stayed overnight at Caesars, and visited Bally's to swim in the pool. The indoor pool is relatively large and kept clean. There are also several small hot tubs so you can stay with your own small group rather then being next to strangers. The one downside was that not all the hot tubs were working when I was there, so if you were unlucky you might step in to a cold tub. They also have a steam room and sauna which is a nice addition. The best part was that there was an outside patio overlooking the ocean right outside the pool.
Good enough casino large and well disposed.
Super Comfortable bed room.
It was not what I expected.
The hotel had a sorority formal which was fine because we are young. The Bally's Wild West club was awesome! It was packed and the band was amazing! The new Taco place was so good! I played at the casino war table and the only issue that I had was with one of the female Indian dealers. She didn't know what she was doing at all. But Christopher who was dealing at the war table who usually deals at the black jack table was great and very personable! The room was nice! We had a great time!
It is a good casino friendly people.
Just returned from a 2 night stay at Bally's. We have been going to Atlantic City for 30 years. Not a high roller ~ more of a fun getaway with friends. The condition at Bally's Garden Tower was sad to see. The wallpaper was ripping, the water did not drain in the bathroom sink, the air conditioner didn't work and the room was too hot, the pillowcases spelled like smoke, there were no tissues, hair dryer, paper, pen, or services guide in the room. My son stayed there recently and compared it to a Super 8 motel. As stated in other comments ~ the place looks old, outdated and worn. The staff uniforms were ill-fitting and unkept. The Wild West bar is one of our favorite spots. We were the only people there ~ no fun activities to attract patrons. Other friends stayed at Trop and Resorts ~ a completely different story ~ very clean and updated rooms ~ lots of action and buzz. Sad to say our future trips will be to those casinos unless there are big changes and improvements.
The dealer mad a mistake and messed up the hand. Which messed up the shoe and gave me an attitude about the situation. I have never been saw so much disrespect by a dealer in my life. I will never some there again. I'll stay at the Borgota.
CLEAN! VERY CLEAN! we were in the Dennis tower. Bed was comfy. Large tv. Large bathroom. House maids were very nice. Machines did not pay out but thats okay we had fun! Many resturants are only open on weekends. Understandable. Bring your own water or let the ice melt. Bottled water is very expensive! Workers were friendly. It felt like a very safe enviroment. Will return again.
Everything is very convenient and very convenient. I read the comment that the surrounding hotel feels this family is the safest attempt. Didn't let me down. My son and I were welcomed and our room was clean. Nearby hotels and hotel staff are happy to tell you the direction and friendliness. I will not hesitate to live in the Best Western future.
Was there the week of January 25, 2016 so my review is based on a recent stay. First the positive: The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I only ate at the Corner Cafe but it was pretty decent and again, the staff there were very friendly. The location was ideal for my purposes as it is walking distance to the convention center and it was connected to Caesar's Palace, which is my preferred choice in Atlantic City. Now the rest: My room was so-so. The bed was way too soft for my liking and the pillows are about 30 years past the best-before date. My room that came at a premium price and was supposed to have a beach view was not as described, unless the beach view was obscured by the hotel immediately across the street. The casino is in dire need of a total renovation. It was absolutely the most dreary, outdated, awful thing I've ever seen. No wonder it looked like an abandoned ghost town. My biggest disappointment was how you could hear every door slam shut when you were trying to fall asleep. Still, despite this minor negative, it was a decent hotel. It's just that there are better options in this city.
The cigarette smoke in the casino was difficult, even in the smoke free sections. The shower water was warm at best. There was mold spots in the corner of the shower wall. The woman who checked us in though was very nice and helpful, and the two restaurants we ate at were both very good.
Ballys Atlantis city room and service to the customer are the best.
The worlds worst night bell men. He would rather talk on the phone then help a paying guest. I asked him to meet me at my room for a pick up. Said for me to call from the room instead. Called from the room waited for 15 minutes, still a no show. So I just decided to take my bags down myself. Only to see the fat, lazy bearded man walking back toward the bell desk. Unbelievably LAZY! Sorry I didn't get his name. I will never stay at Bally's again!
This place is a real DUMP! The hotel in in need of MAJOR updates. The rooms are really outdated and have a faint smell of urine, my 16 year old described it as a room you see on the movies you go to have an affair in. The furniture is in need of major cleaning. The elevators get stuck often and they do nothing about it even after you report it to the front desk. Wifi is NOT included ($22/night), nor is the pool or gym ($20/ week and $50/weekend). A member of our group booked their room back in October because they were in need of a handicap accessible room for their son. Guess what? Their room was not available upon arrival. Now that is ridiculous, they booked it almost a year in advance! Even though certain areas are deemed non smoking, it's all smoking! If you do chose to stay here request the DENNIS TOWER it has been updated. I wouldn't even stay here if they offered me a voucher to stay.
The WORST hotel experience I have ever had! I can tell why Atlantic City is going downhill. I was in a party of 4 and we got stuck in AC on a Monday night 7/13/15. While waiting in line for 27 minutes, I was able to call and book a room with a sweet but clueless Indian lady over the phone. Good to know Bally’s is outsourcing jobs. I asked for a suite and paid over the phone. When it was finally my turn to speak to the desk clerk I was told Bally’s doesn’t book suites over the phone. The desk clerk said she could correct the problem but we would be in a room with no view. We got to the room, which was nice, to find one king bed when I specifically asked for 2 (both on the phone and in person). I asked for cots and was told I could only have one. I advised them for the price, I was NOT letting someone sleep on the floor. They were totally unhelpful and simply refused to send 2 cots for a LARGE suite with one empty room. We had to move to the tower that is very dated. The elevator doesn’t work properly (which they did warn us about) and my friend ended up being stuck in it for 30 minutes. To top it all off they took 22 dollars off my bill and tried to make me pay for parking. What a joke this place is! no one cared. No one tried to help. It was as if we were bothering them when we simply wanted what we paid for. I will never go back!
Place is definitely in need of fixing. Fittings on the elevators are badly tarnished, and they get stuck. Got stuck on Floor 43, really not fun. The rooms, however, are great, especially if you aren't paying out the nose. All that said, it still smells like pee in the parking garage and the elevators really suck.
BEWARE BEFORE YOU CHECK IN, This place is a joke! Been coming here for years, not anymore, charging an extra $22 per night for Wi-Fi and other made up bullcrap! Bad enough they take your money at the tables and slots! Now an extra Wi-Fi charge $22 per night what a joke, everybody's not a millionaire! New jersey has to change the gambling laws in nj Atlantic City Or something save the place before it's to late! Love the ocean not the casinos.
I tour the country year round for work so I tend to stay in a ton of hotels. Ballys is by far the worst I have ever dealt with in terms of customer service. I returned to my room around 1 AM on a Friday and my key didn't work. After waiting 10 or 15 minutes to ride the only working elevator (out of 4), I finally made it down to the front desk with about 20 people in line and only 2 front desk clerks. Knowing all I needed was a key to my room that I was already checked into, I jumped in the shortest line which was a diamond member line, when it was my turn the lady asked if I was a diamond member, I said no and explained the situation and that all I needed was a key to my room so I could get to bed since I had an early flight, she then refused to help me and kept repeating you need to go to the back of the line sir. So finally I stop arguing and go to the back of the line and wait an hour just to get a new key. I know, I tried to "skip the line" but that is ridiculous. It's ridiculous that on a Friday night they only had 2 people working, it's ridiculous that nobody else could help me get a key, housekeeping couldn't even let me in my room because They had to be dispatched by the front desk after midnight. My room was cozy though, but still don't stay here.
Wow customer service and amenities have really taken a slide! We did book a comped room for three nights. However, when we requested to move to the room we had booked (They put us in a double room even though we were assured on the phone they would hold our room type for us) we were told they would wave the upgrade fee for us. I explained that it was our anniversary, but the manager and staff could care less. Ok. We booked a specific room how is there going to be an upgrade fee? Oh, well it's due to the managers discretion for any and all room fees? So if you book a room and that's what shows on your receipt you may still be charged extra for that room. The accommodations are generally clean and the beds are very comfy. (it appears they have addressed their shower mold problem and on several prior occasions we have had dirty rooms on check in. However, unless you're a diamond or higher member they really have no decent customer service. Oh, and you no longer get a $ 0.25 (or less cause they buy bulk) bottle of water when you pay for pool use unless you're diamond or higher.
Bally's is a great place to go to. The staff are very nice. They have an indoor pool and jacuzz which also has a balcony, and the rooms were cozy. The only problem is that it smells like smoke in some areas of the casino and to go to the pool it is pretty expensive.
By far in my opinion, the greatest hotel in Alantic City. I am only 10, and I come here a lot on holidays like Christmas, 4th of July, Spring break, Easter, New Years, etc. The pool for us kids is awesome! I also love how you guys are connected to Ceasers. My cousin comes with us and stays at Ceasers. We can always visit her! The staff is very socialite! They will take care of you any time. The staff love to talk! They love to share stories! I love it! The rooms are so clean! The maids do a really good job with this. I bring my stuffed animal along, iPad, and pink Dr. Dre beats. I love how all the maids put the beats on my puppys head, and leave the iPad on, (my iPad has a power that can have it stay on forever) and pretend he is playing a game! The rooms are also cozy! Its really warm and comfortable with the pillows too! BEST HOTEL EVER.
Tried to have a decent trip with my family and was so disappointed. Entire place smelled like smoke. Fees for pool and a ridiculously overpriced room service menu (which was closed the first day we got there). Towel set for one person even though I booked the room for three. Overall dirty, hidden fees and poor service.
Great place, clean. However ever got headache because people were smoking in a non smoking area.
Found a great deal through AC website. Got there and was upgraded to a high-rollers suite no extra charge. Beautiful room, clean overall. Casino was very nice. They didn't have our complimentary breakfast since there wasn't room service so they gave us a voucher for Buca instead. Would definitely return for a stay, if they remain open.
Hidden fees! Bally's charges mandatory resort fee of $10 per day. It's hidden and NOT include when you book your room. The hotel is outdated. No electricity charger near bed to charge cell phone.
I pulled into the parking garage at about 10PM, and had to avoid people wandering around inside. When I parked my car I noticed that just a few lanes ahead of me were about 5 people sitting in a lane drinking hard alcohol. I decided to drive back and let the Valet take care of it. I was told my luggage would be brought to my room. I checked in at the front desk while someone was drunkenly screaming some horrible karaoke. The woman told me that my room was above a party pavilion, and that I would "get to enjoy free music until about 3AM". I was told I needed to talk to the Bell Hop to get my luggage delivered. I waited at his desk for about 20 minutes before one of the ladies at the front desk walked in the back and yelled at him to come out (Maybe he was on break? ) I got to my room and noticed an obvious smokey odor in a nonsmoking room. I'm surprised I didn't smell what I discovered next, as my fiancee pointed at a chair encrusted in dried vomit. She inspected the bed for bugs and stains while I investigated the rest of the room, finding out that the other chair had a giant green-hued stain on the back, and that our bathroom shower had mildew spots all over. Later that night when I turned on the shower the faucets poured out a lovely golden water for a few minutes. Oh. And I hope you like baths because the shower took forever to drain.
We booked a Suite room on the highest floor with ocean view on the high tower for a tons of money, yet the service were sucks, the front desk and manager didn't care much about us and seems conceded. So we were turned off by the minute we checked in. We were there to spend money and to have a great time but because of the poor services or lack of, we decided to just sleep there and spend our money next door at Caesars. If you want an upgraded room, make sure you apply for their player club membership card, or they will charge you big time, that's what they did to us since we didn't bother applying for the players club member card.
Not worth it. Even when comped. I usually stay at showboat but since they are closing for good. I decided to try out this dump. Been about 18+ years since my last stay here and tonight's my last. I'm always get free rooms and this is the worst of em all. Thin walls and thin doors. Worst of all is the loud music from the boardwalk that the front desk says will end soon. At 10pm it was as loud as a disco. Now its past midnight and were down to jazz levels. Going to check out in the morning and check in next door. Every hour I call to complain they tell me its going to end soon Also the alarm clocks broken. Furniture is badly chipped and in poor shape and when someone uses water its as loud as a locomotive. No matter what don't pay for a room here.
We are staying at Bally's and I must say the rooms are pretty cozy and the views are stunning. We are overlooking the Boardwalk and the beach. Our bed is super cozy and we love the updated look. The restaurants on the 6th floor are great and right there, moments away and they also have a male strip club inside of the building just off the casino floor called the Savage Men Atlantic City Male Revue which we also went to last night. It was a really, really, really fun time and we took a lot of great pictures. The male strippers were so cool and cute. Our whole Bally's experience so far is perfect.
I'd recommend staying else where. I stayed with my parents and watched them deal with about a dozen problems in the two days we were here. If I had to guess I'd say they just flat out don't have enough staff to take care of everything. There was one bartender at an extremely busy bar and the check in lines took over an hour. Everyone there was pissed and they sent some girl out for crowd control. It wasn't a horrible experience but if they don't staff this place up they will continue to lose money and that is a guarantee.
I will never stay at Bally's again. The reason for my stay at Bally's was due to them hosting the pool tournament in which my husband and son were involved. I thought it would be more convenient to stay at Bally's, than another hotel. In retrospect, Bally's probably knows most non-casino regulars will do the exactly what I had done. That would be the reason for the following: 1. Room was heavily smoke scented. Each time I returned to the room, it was like 30 people had used it as a smoke room, then left as soon as they heard me coming 2. No welcome packet (seriously, nothing but a 4x4" piece of paper. 3. No specials, breakfast or otherwise 4. No coffee packets left in the room on our 2nd day. 5. Electric socket unusable due to something jammed into it. 6. TV cables going into a literal hole in the wall. (no plate, just a big 'hole'), and last but not least: the vent in the windowless bathroom did not work: A violation, to be sure.
