Cleanest spotless hotel in St Louis. Not needing updating like the Ritz. Not overpriced in a dangerous area like the Four Seasons. Stunning clean gem with great customer service.

Love the rooftop pool! All staff that we encountered during our stay were super helpful and the young man at the front desk even gave food recommendations. We also loved the fact that the hotel is in a quite area with good eats close by.

I recommend Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel. I had a great experience. Stayed 1 night with my family Labor Day weekend and I was very impressed Family friendly! Clean rooms and great service. The bar downstairs was excellent! I would definitely stay there again. I give this Hotel 5

Rooms here are to pricey for things to not be working! My refrigerator is broken and so was the ironing board, they did nothing about it! Room was smaller than shown in picture also, never again! Garage also sucks!

Rhonda at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and provided some traveling tips. She did great in welcoming us!

Was not happy with my experience this hotel is not convienent the key and doors only worked half the time, hot, cramped no continental breakfast, no water, no pen and paper, and had to pay extra to park there.

Very good breakfast. Comfortable room, although older hotel. I didn't have an outlet with a USB port in my room. I always appreciate a hotel that makes accommodations for a large motorcoach, which they did for six of us.

I am aware that they're going to renovate this hotel, but right now it's in a such a sad state, it's as if the owners just gave up on it. Our room's carpet was so heavily stained and so dusty. They could've at least cleaned the stains out in respect to their guests. The bottom of the tub was so dirty, I ended up putting a towel on the bottom and showering standing on it and washed my child in the sink. The bathroom door didn't even close properly, yet alone lock (there was no lock). On the bright side: the staff are wonderful and lovely. The mattresses are AMAZING. I've never had a sleep like this before. I laid down and it enveloped me and I fell into such deep sleep. And woke up with no back pain! Their pillows are pretty amazing too. Bottom line is, if it wasn't for their carpet and the tub this hotel would've been a great place to stay.

Nice Hotel but the wait to check in was long (18 minutes) the parking cost extra, and the bathrooms are rather small with very little counterspace. The carpet in our room had some small stains as well. However, the elevators are probably the fastest we have seen. Not a bad hotel at all but just need some updates and it will be much better.

The location of this hotel was good and the people were friendly, but the rooms were just okay. No refrigerator or in-room safe, which was a bummer. The bed was pretty comfortable. I wonder if this hotel is old and was recently renovated. The bathroom vanity and general layout looked like they did they best with the space they had. The TV looked pretty old and was small, though it was a flat screen. Overall it wasn't bad, but it was just pretty basic.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! My company booked this hotel based on location for an big upcoming meeting. When I checked in I was given room 614. The carpet was gross and the room was covered in dust. Really worries you about how much they clean. In the photo of the phone you can see the massive layer of dust and the spot where I touched it. The bedding also had some questionable stains. I normally am not one to complain and request a room change. However, I had a big meeting the next day and really wanted to get some good sleep. When I went to the front desk and requested another room the lady at the front desk didn’t seem surprised. When I explained how it was dirty I was only given an insincere sorry. I was then given room 1016. The girl at the front desk said “ I put you on a higher floor. ” Definitely wasn’t reassuring that was going to help. Surprise it didn’t! unlike 614 with multiple smaller stains, room 1016 had a large black stain, a little less dusty but still looked unclean with stained towels. When I checked out I debated if I should say anything. It’s obvious they know and it doesn’t matter. Well I didn’t say anything. When I checked out the desk didn’t even ask how the stay was. I guess they already know from many customers it’s not good. At least 3 of my other colleagues also commented on how gross their rooms were. None the less we definitely will be taking our group somewhere else next time.

This was really a mixed bag. Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Good location. Ample parking. The rooms are really in need of an update. Showers are small, think banged elbows if you are decent sized person. Service was solid. Beds comfortable. The place has some strong "aromas". In some areas the hotel "fragrance" was really strong. In the entry hall, a mix of moldiness and strong air freshener greets you. That being said, I will probably come back.

After four (yes 4) tries to get me a key that worked, I was already less than impressed with this Sheraton. Add to that the outdated room and the tiny, poorly equipped bathroom and we were well on our way to a terrible experience. However, I will say that the staff has been wonderful, if less than effective and the lobby is very nice. Really, the only highlight of the hotel is that it's within walking distance of my meetings this week.

Great service! Nice clean rooms. Checked in after a long day at 11 p. M. Couldn't have a better experience last minute.

Awesome hotel. Alicia, at the front desk was great. Definitely a customer service pro. Little breakfast place inside the hotel was excellent. Would stay again.

Going down hill. The staff was ok but not overly helpful as they use to be at check-in. However, what I cannot tolerate is uncleanliness. They obviously missed the slimey greasy substance on the remote control (you could probably guess…). No harm, I called the desk and asked for house keeping to bring up antibacterial wipes to clean the remote. After 45 mins housekeeping was a no show, so I called the desk again and it went to voicemail. I waited another 15 minutes, and I took it down to the desk in a coffee cup. There was no apology, and they weren't even disgusted. Healthy conditions for your guests should be priority I asked for a full clean of the room. If they redeem themselves, I'll update the review.

Fantastic hotel in a great area! Alecia at the front desk really helped us out when checking in late at night with infant twins. Beds were comfortable and parking was reasonable. Would definitely return to this hotel!

Convenient to the Clayton metro link station and a bunch of restaurants, this hotel has clean, updated rooms and very nice staff. Couldn't really find any flaws to pick at for this Sheraton. Hope to stay again in the future.

Great location to see Creighton university play. Coveted walkway to the arena made it easy, convenient and warm.

Great place to hold a small conference. The staff is awesome. We hold a symposium there every year and we would recommend it to small groups and visitors.

This hotel is beautiful and welcoming. The people here are wonderful. Really enjoyed the beautiful rooms as well. They were extra clean, quiet and private. Got a great sleep in the comfy bed. Would stay here again.

This is an older hotel, but it was mostly clean and the staff were wonderful. Michelle greeted us at the front desk. She was very pleasant and professional. The lobby has a very strong "perfume" smell to it that lingered into the restaurant. I have a really sensitive nose and it bothered me a little. But I still went to the restaurant for dinner. It was worth it. Our server was Imesa and she was truly wonderful. She treated us well so we went back the next day for drinks. I would recommend this hotel. The price was fair. However, be aware that Wi-Fi is not free. It was $10/day when we were there and parking is $14/day.

The banquet and events crew here is PHENOMENAL. If I could 5 star just the staff, I would… Deedy, Sarah, Elliot, Todd, the entire banquet waiting staff… They are literally what take me back time and time again. I love this crew so much, they feel like family with as much and as often as I am there. I come in monthly and stay her for my meetings at my corporate office. I plan an annual education conference here for every February. I have been with my company for 13 years. We literally have a 3 day event here every single February. While the staff and service is the best I have ever dealt with, from their responsiveness to my very needy and picky demands starting 6 months prior to our event to making sure I eat during the event because it is non-stop action on my part. I highly recommend this crew… However, this is the first year I can say that the actual hotel itself fell short. There was an active leak. There was some apparent water issues. We ended up having to move our actual awards banquet and all our meals (which the staff was PHENOMENAL about). I would say, the owners or managing partners need to fix some issues and possibly update the rooms as well as correct the water intrusion issues. If they read this, you have a phenomenal staff. From the front desk, to Christine in the bar, to the room service ladies and guy, as well as all the banquet staff mentioned above.

Only one staff member to check in guests on Friday and Saturday nights? Lines 5–10 long at all times. Called the second night while we were out to ask if we could get a cot. They asked to put me on a “brief” hold. I waited 15 min before I hung up. I called back and told her no when she asked again if I would hold. She snapped back “I’m very busy down here. ” Here’s the BRIGHT PART of my stay. A gentleman named Eddie who is the food and beverage manager. At 10:00 pm, a guest in the room next to us (with those locked adjoining doors) started smoking weed. We ignored it at first, but it got so bad our entire room was full of the stench and we had our kids with us. I went downstairs to get help (line was 7 deep) waited for 20 min before I found a housekeeper to tell. She called Mr. Eddie and he came to assist us. Went back to our room, opened the door and the smell was so strong I’m surprised my kids weren’t high. He handled it with the guests next door. Then went to the trouble to secure us a different room 3 floors down. I didn’t even have to go back downstairs. He got everything taken care of. Even brought us a luggage carrier to transport our belongings, helped us to our room and everything. Then when I tried to tip him, he kept refusing and apologizing that it happened in the first place. He said, “how about a hug instead. ” (Don’t worry, I forced the tip on him ha).

I reserved a single room with a King Sized bed for me and my two children. I requested a crib for my toddler, a crib was supplied. There is dust on the light fixtures in the room, old carpet, and the window lets in a cold draft. I had to request a mini fridge, and there is no microwave in the room. Room service has a $3 charge. The coffee machine makes the coffee taste awful, I usually like Starbucks coffee. Wifi is $9.95 a day, and there is no breakfast unless you get a club level room, which no one has explained to me. 0 stars and would not recommend.

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I booked a room for two nights with two queen beds, and when I arrived I was told they only had me for one bed. Even after I showed them my confirmation email, they said they were overbooked and didn't have any doubles. After about a 10 minute wait, they "upgraded" me to a suite, which ended up just being a large, oddly spaced out room with a pullout. They had the courtesy to set the pullout up for me, but looking at it, you could immediately tell that it was broken, as the mattress sagged in the middle to the point where it was unsleepable. It was also completely covered in stains. I was appalled that someone had taken the time to set this up, and then thought that this looked okay to have someone sleep in. I ended up folding up the pullout and slept on the couch. The floor was also very stained. The hotel overall just needs a massive renovation. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

I've been here for luncheons 3 times. The first time the food and service was excellent. A year later, the vegetable lasagna tasted like Stoufers and was lukewarm, I was never offered a refill of my glass, and the dessert (which they said needed to be served warm) was served before our main course. The third time the food was fine, not especially good but not bad; this time the lunch and drinks were part of a serve-yourself buffet, so I couldn't judge the service.

The service was wonderful. Very kind employees and very clean and beautiful venue.

Checked in and both bed side lamps light bulbs were out. Called to ask if they could send up light bulbs. I had to call three times and 2 hrs later that night maintenance came up. I asked them to look at the bath tub. It was dirty, so bad that I didn't want to take a shower in there. He said he would have housekeeping come up to clean. I tried to clean myself but it was so embedded that no way to clean. Housekeeping never came. I went to eat at restaurant/bar took over 30 min to get someone to come ask me what I wanted to drink. Only about 5 other people in restaurant so not busy. Several people left because of this service. Finally ordered and was brought my soup with no silverware or napkin. I had to ask for some twice. Tub still dirty took pictures, looks like something you might see at a motel 6. Next morning after sleeping in bed I saw dry blood on comforter. It was made with one sheet on bottom and one on top. I messed up bed, put the change bed sign on bed and put the blood stain right by the card. Came back to room that evening and bed was made but blood stain was still on comforter. Bed skirts are also stained. They never changed sheets or comforter. Walls and carpet are very dirty with stains everywhere. I dropped the soap wrapper on tub floor to see if house keeping would actually clean the tub area. Still on tub floor after the room cleaned. This room should never be rented 713. Here for a large company meeting. Very disappointed based on cost of hotel.

Location is very easy to get to and close to some nightlife in the area. The service was awesome and they knew my name as I walked up to the front desk (probably because it was a slow evening). I was upgraded to an amazing room with a view partly because of status and also again a slow night. The rooms and building overall feels dated and could be slightly cleaner. I noticed some dirt on one of the walls in the hallway. Water pressure is solid and beds are very comfortable. Street nose is minimal, but sometimes noticable. Some rooms have a great view of the arch so ask for that!

The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. The rooms are adequate but need to be updated. The breakfast buffet was $15.98 and the food was lousy. Again, the staff in the restaurant were great.

Room and extra charges were as much as my other 2 night combined at other area hotels. Outdated, overpriced hotel with breakfast that was cold and overcooked. Not what I expected based on experiences outside the US. Very disappointed. Would recommend staying with any other hotel chain in the future.

Very underimpressed and I just checked in. The carpet in my room is worn and soiled. The bed skirt is covered in stains, and my bathroom has hair all over it. Judging by the looks of the shower, the grout has never been cleaned. The only good thing about this hotel so far is a gentleman named Tim. He was very welcoming and helped get my bags from the garage to my room. Tim, thanks for being the light in this dark tunnel called The Sheraton.

One of the better Sheraton experiences I've had. Attentive and accommodating staff. Requested ahead of time for a feather-free room which was actual ready upon arrival.

Well, we got locked out if our room because our key DID NOT WORK. And the people checking us in weren't to passionate, but besides that, the pool was nice, and the rooms were comfortable.

The conference rooms are spacious and the staff is very accommodating. The single bed rooms are the perfect size for the price. Not to mention the outstanding view of downtown Clayton.

There was trash and old clothing under the beds, Wi-Fi wasn't free, and even the coffee was $3.00 for a cup. We purchased the rooms and informed the desk personnel that we might have to extend a day, but we wouldn't know just yet, but when we tried to, they had already booked the room. The staff was excellent, but the hotel policies were atrocious.

Absolutely terribly! Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Got there and saw they had given us a room with one bed. I called the front desk and they offered a rollaway bed. They called back and said we couldn't have one because it wouldn't fit but offered bedding for my 14 year old to sleep on the floor. From 10:45 pm — 1am we went to the front desk and called 3 times. I even explained that my son had testing at the hospital the next morning and we needed sleep. Erica was extremely rude and told me she would get us bedding if she had time, which she didn't. We had to take a sheet from the bed and a pillow to sleep on the floor the night before my son went for testing that would take most of the day to follow up on effects from his cancer treatment. Absolutely unacceptable! I know we may have booked on a discount site but that doesn't make us any less important and after very little sleep, a day at the hospital, I drove us home tired. I called to talk to a manager today, but still haven't received a call back.

Had a nice time at the clayton plaza ballroom for the artists award ceremony for the art fair. It was a very nice affair and the staff was prompt and courteous. One major negative however, was the food provided. Much of it was cold and the pastries provided were stale. The fruit was probably one of the redeaming items parts of the refreshments that were provided but then again that doesn't need to be heated up.

The hotel was quite adequate for our needs. It is close to public transportation, and the staff is courteous. The room was clean and we had no problem with it. There is a restaurant on site, and quite a few others nearby.

Hotel staff was wonderful. Very kind and quick to respond to request. Hotel was clean. Room did not have a bathtub, which was unusual. Room was on the small side. Enjoyed the parking structure being very convenient.

I would not recommend. The front desk representative was extremely rude, the bathroom is the size of a closet, and it just isn't worth the cost. Parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast are fairly expensive for what you get.

What a dump! Never stayed at a Starwood property that was this big of a dump. Keys work 1 time max. Spoke to other guests… I wasn't the only one. Paint peeling from the ceiling. Room was not cleaned on first day. TV worked occasionally. Had to turn on and off again to get the picture. All for around $200/night. If you like sleeping in a dirty diaper… come on down!

Decent Hotel, very friendly. Dogs are Welcome! Parking Garage needs a major renovation, it is literally falling apart in places. Taller Vehicles Beware, I witnessed a Econoline Van get hung on the gate trying to enter the Garage, very low overhangs. Rooms are smaller, but mostly modern. Elevators were the worst part of my stay. Very slow at times. Was left waiting for 5 minutes many times, might be quicker to use the stairs. Only 2 elevators for guests. Very slow during peak check in/check out and evenings. Update: Had a very poor experience at the end of my stay. House keeping did NOT come to my room at all for the 3 nights we stayed here. They require a pet sign hung on the door, and probably do to that did not once service the room. Even after speaking to housekeeping the morning of our last night that I would I would like them to clean the room. They still did not show. I had to call for fresh towels that night, and waited 45 minutes to get them. This is a 3 Star Hotel in my opinion, however my experience has lead my to decrease my initial rating.

The room was fine but ordered a ceaser salad and it was some lettuce and curtin on a plate.

The lodgings are very average, room size not especially large, beds not especially soft, amentities not especially present. I haven't had much interaction with any of the staff yet so I can't speak to their politeness and helpfulness besides the breakfast crew which checks both boxes. On that note the breakfast is fantastic. I wouldn't recommend it but I wouldn't discourage a nights stay.

I attended a wedding at this hotel and it was awesome! The staff is very friendly and the steak is amazing. The rooms were clean and well organized. I recommend this hotel.

This was a very neat art of town. I was only partly impressed with the hotel. Some parts of the hotel have been updated while others look like they are still from the eighties. Staff was very courteous and kind. The meals that we had during our business meeting were excellent. The sleeping rooms were small but had the typical amenities.

Be careful when they are overbooked… they will cancel your reservation, you'll pay double at their sister hotel then take over 6 weeks to credit you back… interesting little scam. I was there for SLU visitor's weekend and called to see if I could get an extra room on a night I already had one booked and they told me my entire reservation was cancelled. I'm sure they had someone yelling at them and they offered up my room because we were not there yet. They said they had called and emailed me, but they had NOT. Long story longer, I emailed Starwoods complaint site and received a quick call back one month later. Then spoke to 4 or 5 people. Let me tell you what Ryan at the Hilton at the Ballpark did. I stayed their the next time I was in St Louis and their was a small issue with the shower head and toilet. They apologized profusely and Ryan had me call him my next time in town… last week. He ended up giving me a great room rate, free breakfast, free drinks and appetizers… holy cow. I'm not a hater, but I do believe in Karma. Thanks to Ryan and the gang at the Hilton @ the Ballpark… You do this Kansas City boy proud and very much appreciate you.

Not worth the money. Booked on priceline, this place sucks. They claimed 3.5 star, it's not. I stayed downtown last night, got free dinner, drinks AND breakfast for $129… $160 here, nothing included, not even a cool room as the air doesn't work right. VERY in unhappy and will not recommend… super 8 beats this for the price.

Stayed two nights there for a wedding. The lobby and friendly staff is about the only nice things I can say about this place. Walls are paper thin. Tiny room and bathroom, both of which had a dirty feeling. No room for toiletries in bathroom. No fitted sheet on bed — just a loose sheet over the mattress. Electricity in bathroom randomly went out for over fifteen minutes while showering. Elevators didn't work the entire time — a line of people would wait anyway hoping for one to stop, which only did about every ten minutes. Guests took stairs several flights. Stairway was crowded and dingy. Drink glasses and dirty bowls outside other rooms on floor not retrieved for more than a day. No complimentary Wi-Fi. No continental breakfast. Expect breakfast to be over $25 for two. Needless to say, the Sheraton will not be on my short list for future travel stops.

I booked on expedia and had no problems but paid 89 a night plus tax, 110 total. Parking garage will ONLY accommodate any size car and possibly a mid size suv. The Ford f-150 truck in front of me had to back out to avoid ripping his cab off. The check in process was somewhat painless except for a very unsociable clerk. Just wasn't very informal but she did ask if I wanted to bundle my $14 parking with the 9.95 in room Wi-Fi charge for the total of $15. I got a instant bank notification of a $20 charge. I've not got a receipt for anything yet so I'm guessing the extra 5 was for tax and fees?! I get to our room and I was parched from walking all day at the zoo. I went to get ice for a drink at the dispenser on my floor and it made noise but did not dispense. I ended up having to take the elevator to next floor for ice. Vending machines were only $2 for 20oz drinks. Not great but not terrible. I get back to room and I just don't feel "comfy" the hotel could use a update but it's apparent paint and carpet have been replaced periodically. The building is just showing signs of age. Other than the weird feeling, everything looks clean on the surface, surface only. I go take a shower and found it awkward when I noticed there is not a soap dish, compartment, chubby hole or anything to put your soap or wash cloth on.

A joke from sheraton city center. I got to the hotel and it switched names my booking was switched to the claton sheraton. I didn't notice the change untill I went to check it. I had a concert to go to and didn't want to drive and deal with the trafic. While I checked in the mgr after hearing my story just giggled and offered me free parking, mind you on the weekends it is already free. I checked in on a friday so would have gotten free parking anyways. The room was small and cramped. I believe that the super 8 rooms are bigger. What a waste of $130. Also I was going to pay for valet. I parked my car in the waiting area and sat in my car for 10 min then finally got out and went inside had to ask where the valet person was. A older guy was "ohh I am where is your car.? " umm rly ok whatever. Went to my room. Called about an hr later for my car to be brought around. Get downstairs and there is my car running outside with no person around watching it. I dont know how long it was sitting there but anyone could have just takin it and then I would be out a car. I get back from my concert again I already paid for valet for the day. Sit in my car again waiting for someone to come out, 10 min later I get out and go inside again. Wait for the one person at the front desk to finish helping other customers. Then I ask "is the valet person gone for the day?

Exactly the service and rooms you would expect from a little bit older sheraton. The customer service is great and the rooms are clean.

I like it it was clean but my family did get some kind of speaciel sweet for 700 for 1 per person I was VERY clean we got every thing we want.

The check-in staff is the worst! These people gave another guest a key to our room (I'm guessing they thought it was vacant) and at 1130 pm, we hear someone opening the door. Luckily we had the bolt in place, My wife asked the lady what she was doing coming in our room, the lady explained that the staff assigned that room to her. WTF? This freaked us out and woke our 10 month old baby! Not to mention they had a broken heater so our room was so cold that me and my son got sick.

Clean, but unsatisfied. Paper thin walls, no hot tub. I also checked in in a wheelchair and they did not offer an accessible room! I'm ok sitting on the tub floor usually but it was a walk in shower and there were many public hairs on the wall. : — (.
