Outstanding customer service! One of the staff members in the club lounge, Selma, remembered me even though it's been almost 2 years since I've stayed there; she recalled that I have 2 sons and made me feel welcome to be back. Even though my stay was brief it was a wonderful experience.

I had a stay-cation in town this weekend and decided to stay at the Ritz instead of the four seasons like I normally do. I was blown away by how genuinely nice all the staff was, making sure I was taken care of every step of the way, the valets, front desk, restaurants, everyone. Congrats to the management on creating such a good environment! In a time where many even top luxury hotels are slipping with service — The Ritz proves why it will always be " The Ritz". Thanks for a great weekend!

Very nice rooms with all the bells and whistles. Take note: all the bells and whistles cost extra… a lot extra. Wifi, parking, valet parking, in room amenities, sauna, and weight room will add $$$ to your bill. You would think for the price to stay here these perks would be included. Think again. Other than that, the staff are great and very accommodating to almost any request.

Over-rated — moved to Marriott Grand. Main elevator banks did not work, had to use service elevator. Premier Plus Lifetime membership means nothing to the Ritz… wanted $125 daily for admission to Club level room. Effective I suppose if you want to keep out the riff-raff. Very disappointing. However staff was very pleasant, just short-handed. I do not recommend this hotel until improvements are made.

A fabulous venue for a preoperative conference. The opulence of the hotel, quality of service, and most delicious menu made my visit write pleasant. The conference room has comfortable seating with desk tops with charging ports and electric outlets.

Luxury brand Hotel by far the best experience Ive ever had there. Every one is extremely friendly and Caring And there to cater to your needs. The Omelet Chef there in the mornings at there restaurant is Amazing. Can't wait till my next visit.

Beautiful and friendly. Smelled really good in the lobby. We stayed in a suite on the top floor and no detail is spared. The marble bathroom is everything. Tons of snacks including a big glass case of assorted cookies. From the meals to drinks to the staff everything was great. I was so sad to leave lol.

I was there for a professional event and the set up was behind schedule. Then the catering staff feel behind the event schedule. The vegetarian option was not appetizing. Very dry and no one could figure out what the dish was meant to be. The desert was great but the staff didn't come out with coffee until half the guests had gone out into the hallway to get their own coffee. I expected better.

We have an annual tradition of taking the entire family out for a nice fancy dinner with everybody dressed up around Christmas. Friendly, courteous staff and a delicious dining experience no matter what is ordered. The resulting bill will not be cheap, but rest assured you will get a fabulous tasting, high quality meal that matches your expenditure.

The Afternoon Tea was delightful. The food was beautiful and tastes great. The hibiscus tea was delicious. The Ambience and service we're great. It was perfect for a girls afternoon outing. Would definitely recommend this experience.

I loved this hotel. Very nice and clean. Staff is super friendly. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious. The name escapes me right now, but the food was amazing. The executive chef even comes around to the table and makes sure everyone is taken care of.

One of my favorite Ritz experiences. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole hotel — lobby, restaurants, and rooms — is gorgeous. Love the candy jars everywhere (my daughter was very pleased to see her favorite mints). The club level staff was top notch and every meal there was delicious! Also loved the gym, and the ability to walk to a few shops and restaurants from the hotel. The proximity to Wash U is perfect.

During my visit the surrounding area was under construction, along with the cramped city of STL the location was the worst part. After you get there the valet service is great, friendly, and helpful. The hotel has heater vents above the doors so while you wait it's not very cold. Inside the hotel the rooms and decor are really nice. The beds are super comfortable, and our room had a balcony which was a really nice addition. The restrooms were top notch with marble, and a great shower, and hidden toilet. Overall a great stay, and a great hotel!

Loved the hotel and location. Great lobby vibe and sushi bar. The rooms are huge, the club lounge staff was wonderful, the food offerings were great! I would highly recommend! Fireplaces and chandeliers! The view from my room was spectacular and the balcony was a nice touch!

You can’t go wrong here. Everyone is friendly. The rooms are beautiful. The best thing about this place is the Sunday Brunch. It’s a bit famous among St. Louis:) It is just a delectable selection of fantastic food. You will not leave hungry and they have something for everyone. From caviar to oatmeal or scrambled eggs… you won’t be disappointed. Very elegant and yet not over the top. We’ve enjoyed brunch numerous times. Seriously… so good!

Was here for new years eve early happy hour. Their pizza was bland suppose have bacon an had sprinkles of it. Being a 5 star hotel you would think better food. Thumbs down on food an poor service.

5 star luxury all the way. Delicious food, great service and fun lobby scene. They've recently done updates, so it's more on par with other luxury hotels in town like Four Seasons. It's very comfortable and cozy, old world luxury as opposed to some if the more modern places. I feel like it's a good winter getaway. Also, I wish they had more of a spa, but there are plenty nearby.

Cocktails at the lounge were average quality in terms of flavors, though on the plus side they were reasonably strong pours. About the scene: I am not a social scientist, nor do I want to turn a review of a bar into amateur hour social commentary. I will say only that while this place made for some entertaining people watching, I definitely felt some twilight zone vibes. This may or may not be directly related to the fact that neither I nor my immediate family has ever been a member of a yacht club.

The Ritz-Carlton is everything people say it is! The ballroom was gorgeous and inviting and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food we were served was delicious as well. I can't wait to have a reason to go back!

Elegant hotel with incredible service. I was here for a business conference and the staff went out of their way to ensure each attendee had a five star experience. The room was beautifully appointed, the room decor was clean, simple and contemporary, with luxury touches like thick cotton robes and the softest white linens on the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. All of the staff I encountered were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and seemed eager to make sure all our needs were met. The downstairs lobby was decorated for the holidays, including an amazing gingerbread sculpture that took the chef's team 6 weeks to create. Cozy seating around a fireplace near the top notch bar was comfortable on a cold winter's evening. The conference room and restaurant were both top notch. I cannot express all the appreciation I feel for such a stellar experience. Highly recommend!

The most absolute beautiful calming place to stay for a hotel. Was treated like royalty and that was amazing. Will be going again.

Staff wow. Rooms wow. Lobby wow. Spa and fitness wow. Quick service wow. Its beautiful. You'll feel like a million bucks. Its chic and located near everything you need. You'll barely need to leave the block. Be sure to admire the ballerina fountain.

They do customer service like no other place. Our anniversary dinner was amazing. 3 different managers said hello throughout the evening. Food was beyond delicious.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean rooms. Great service. Food was amazing. Had a live band downstairs that rocked the house until 1230. I had a great time here. Definitely will come back.

I visited the cigar club as a guest. The service was spectacular and the ventilation system did a good job of clearing the smoke out of the air. They only issue I had was the lack of selection for beer. The liquor and wine assortment was vast but it seemed that only AB beers were available. Overall a great experience.

It is interesting staying at a hotel that typically charges around $500 per night for a standard room when I traditionally stay at hotels that are right around the $100 — $200 mark. It seemed to me that there is a lot more that comes standard with the lower priced hotels (breakfast, internet and parking just to name a few). Maybe that is just the way of the fancier establishments.

Was here for a corporate event. Really nice facility. The break out rooms were well furnished and had a very well equipped adutorium. The main ball room walls had some tears and stains but not the end of the world. The food provided was through the hotel and was really quite great for a packed lunch. Not sure what the cost was to the vendor, but it was very much appreciated. Would definitely look to book this space again for future corporate event.

Lobby at is redecorated and a great place to meet for cocktails or high end bar food. If you're in to cigars and are lucky enough to get invited, the Cigar Club is really nice… and the menu Is a tough higher end than the lobby bar. Staff at both is outstanding.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… We attended a donors dinner in the ballroom. The food was fantastic, steak done to perfection, tasty and tender. What also impressed me was the valet. We tried to tip them at the end and they said it was all taken care of. It would have been so easy for them to just take the money.

Love this place. Dinner at the Grill was phenomenal. Rooms are fantastic. Breakfast at the Restaurant was delicious!

Attended the mastercard tech leadership conference 2016. The staff was great and was very helpful in getting people to all the conference rooms on both floors. The atmosphere was amazing. Full wood grained walls in the stairwells, towel service in stl restrooms. Even when the blackhawks arrived they were very professional in rounding them through the hotel as to not disrupt our event. To notch service all around.

The Ritz Carlton Cigar Room epitomizes the best The Ritz has to offer: the quieter, less-frenzied atmosphere that comes from exclusivity; discreet, intuitive service that almost appears their staff is psychic; and luxurious, opulent surroundings (such as their butter-soft leather armchairs). Definitely a club for business or pleasure.

I arrived at the Hotel just hours after a death in my family to decompress. The staff were aware of my situation and were incredibly thoughtful, kind and made me feel as comfortable and welcome as possible. They made one of the most difficult moments in my life a pleasant experience. I will always have fond memories of my experience at the lovely and elegant Ritz Carlton in Clayton. Excellent service and room. The food at The Restaurant was excellent if pricey. The staff was very polite and all of them said hello when passing them in the hall. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the prices for the things in the mini fridge and the Wi-Fi. It was $5 for a bag of peanut M&M's and $10 a day for Wi-Fi. I'm sorry, but for the price of the rooms Wi-Fi should be complementary.

TL:DR unfriendly staff, way too expensive, tons of extra charges, rooms ok, but nothing special. I'll never stay here again. As a long time platinum Marriott member, I try to stay at as many Marriotts as I can. I do this for a few reasons, points, nice hotels, nice people, and great service for the most part. Recently, Marriott came out with fun little achievements reward members can do, for instance, a little accolade for each of the Marriott property brands you stay at. So I was able to get s decent rate at the Ritz Catlton St Louis and decided to give it a shot. The normal rate was $409. I immediately ran into issues trying to reserve it through ghe Marriott app because RC requires you to go into another screen and log in again and give them all your info, so I just called into the platinum line and got it booked. She was very nice, requested an upgrade for me and put in the notes that it was my first stay here. She said doing this usually makes them try a little harder to make you happy. So I arrived around 8:30 pm on 2-11-16 and the valet was very nice and went to check in. The front desk guy seemed to just be not very interested after finding out that I got a good rate and that I was a marriott platinum member. He said very little and wasn't friendly at all. I got a standard room, which is ok, because I didn't really care, but it's always nice to get a upgrade if a available.

The location was a little ways from downtown for my liking but was manageable. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The rooms were spacious but appeared outdated (not really conclusive for people with multiple devices). Service was fine but did not need a whole lot.
