My daughter's wedding reception was Saturday! Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff went above and beyond! Thank you for making this one of the best days of my life!

Rooms are modern and spacious. Friendly staff. Nice and clean! Pet friendly also.

Steong smell of marijuana in the hall near the parking lot, as people smoke in the garage. Employees were maskless and of course allowed customers to check in maskless. My bathroom had dirt and dust on the floor and crusty soap in the side dish and no trash can. I'm not a picky eater, but the breakfast was half inedible. Pancakes were oddly rubbery and one was too dried and hard to chew. No clue how the eggs got so bland. Give me freeze dried camp hash over that any day.

I’ll start by saying the rooms are nice, the rooms have nice features and the lobby is decorated beautifully. Those are the only nice things.
You can hear every single noise from the surrounding rooms, there is no map given at check-in so it’s very easy to get lost with the crazy way the hotel is set up, the receptionist at check-in was rude & did not give us any information that she should have and there is NOTHING on their website that tells you that you are limited to 1 hour of swim time per day. We come to STL often and will not be staying here again.

The front desk lady was so rude! The hotel is old and outdated! Also you can only swim for an hour a night. Elevator is broke to swimming pool. Paying 200 a night they should be more professional and have everything in working order!

Great hotel, the only place we stay in St. Louis! Our daughter goes to Wash U very close to her school, great food close by, close to shopping! Clean rooms, polite staff! The waitress is so chill and friendly! Breakfast is good! Close to my favorite burger at CJ MUGGS, celebrating our anniversary and dropping off our daughter this weekend! I can’t understand for the life of me how anyone would give the Plaza a bad rating! I read a comment that stated the carpet was filthy in her room! Fact is the rooms don’t have carpeting! But to each their own! We won’t stay anywhere else! The only thing I would say negative is this is the 2nd time our view from window is garage! So we just closed the curtains! Problem solved!

Disgusting hotel. Your better off going somewhere safer since they are more worried about a felon then a local law enforcement officer. I pray that the people of CLAYTON remember this. Awful and disrespectful staff. They were more worried about this than the rooms being clean, the sheets weren’t even clean. Just an overall nasty “plaza”. They were more worried about this picture than the guests at the plaza.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. The maidservice does nothing, there are health violations, and they don't even book you the room you ordered correctly. I would never book this hotel again, save yourself the trouble.

The rooms… Let guests know when noisy repair work is about to happen. Fix the tub drains, quite disgusting. Bathroom needs to be updated.

Requested an early check in and they said it shouldn't be a problem. Arrive at 11AM after an early flight and was told it would be between 1 and 4. I went to have lunch at their restaurant and they finally had my room ready at 4:30! Their check in time is at 4. I asked every hour if it was ready… no. When I went to the desk at 4 they said they cancelled my room. Not sure why… so after calling the manager they finally got my room. Never apologized. They let another lady cut ahead of me in line. They wouldn't validate a girl's parking until they helped everyone else in line. Room was very nice and roomy but the front desk and their disorganization and lack of understanding will keep me from ever coming back.

Friendly staff. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Amazing breakfast. Nice pool area and free arcade games for the kids. This is our pick of places to stay every time we visit.

Stayed Thursday through Sunday. Breakfast very good, staff very friendly and helpful. Going back next spring and will definitely stay there again.

Wasn't an overnight guest but stopped in for an appetizer and drink at the restaurant while in Clayton recently. Must say, although I was by myself, the barmaid Chelsea I believe, was extremely friendly, outgoing, and made all the patrons there feel welcome and appreciated. She provided warm and personal service, addressing everyone by name, after introducing herself. She does a great job for the Plaza and is definitely an exemplary employee.

We have been pleased with the room at the Clayton Plaza. Although we were given a smaller room than on previous occasions, it is clean and everything has functioned correctly. Plenty of hot water and appropriate pressure. They do provide a minimum of towels, but you can ask for more. The only real issue is the air conditioning being very loud. Our room is near the walkway to the public garage where our car is parked. The garage is under perpetual construction and the drive lanes are very narrow. The workout facility is clean and well lit, but very basic. They do have towel service in there. The breakfast is very nice and features a couple of meat choices, omelette bar, fresh juices etc. There are plenty of staff working in this area, but almost too many. There were four employees in the host area alone when we came in. Staff is pleasant throughout the hotel, but not overly so. We will probably stay here in the future, as it is less expensive than hotels closer to St Louis University.

We have been here 1 night so far. Room is nice, decent size, clean. Lobby beautiful. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet included and it's in their restaurant. It's good, much better than cheap continental you get at other places. Would recommend and would stay again.

Went to a wedding. The wedding was fantastic, however the parking was horrible. There was a ton of construction, and the signs were not very informative. The elevator also send to take forever. But they did take good care of my grandpa who needs a walker and made sure things went smoothly. The place was beautiful though, and overall I had a great time.

The hotel location is in North Clayton and was easy for us to find. Parking was a little precarious due to the to construction in the parking garage. The normal flow of the garage was off and at some points you just did what you could to make it work. Other parts of the garage had already been renovated, and everything will look nice when completed. We reserved 2 rooms in the executive tower and both rooms were clean and stocked. We needed a couple more towels and after a front desk call, they arrived in minutes.

Always clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. This our go to for St Louis hospitality. Close to downtown or West county.

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. The staff, amenities, cleanliness and attention to all details are clearly superior. All members of the staff are especially friendly, cordial and helpful. The only place I would stay in Clayton Missouri.

The staff was nice. You got a free breakfast buffet which was really good. I also like that they had a free game room.

Easy to get to once you figure out the highway exit system. Centrally located near tons of restaurants. Clean rooms and very friendly staff.

Fantastic location, great staff, awesome pool! The only downside is that the rooms are slightly dated (not bad at all, but not modern) and the noise from adjoining rooms is quite noticeable. Other than that, had a fantastic stay!

I stayed here about 2 months ago and the staff was excellent. Out of all honesty, I can't think I've ever stayed at a better hotel in my life. Looking forward to staying here again next week. There were a few minor things I didn't really care for at my stay, as yes, the rooms aren't carpeted (at least what I stayed in wasn't), but I feel that the hardwood floors are a lot easier to clean than carpeting (think of the stains that visitors may cause if the room was carpeted). Every employee I walked past had a smile on their face and said hello.

Staff! The staff has been amazing! From check in to dinner to helping with car problems! What a great place pool is warm and inviting and a free game room for the kids! Clean room and quite. I will be back for sure!

Very clean hotel. Upscale look but nobody was snooty. Breakfast buffet was amazing parking was easy and validated. Easy walking distance to nice restaurants, and a beautiful city park.

Initially I was very impressed on check in & the grand appearance of the hotel. However almost 2 weeks later & $400 ADDITIONAL dollars above our 1 night hotel rate I'm becoming beyond infuriated. We have written emails, made calls, filed complained with no response. This hotel staff chose to make accusations initially that made absolutely no sense, then were promised they would fix the situation. 5 days later they have stopped all corespondance. We feel our concerns have been ignored & now have our bank account voluntarily frozen to avoid allowing them to continue to withdraw unapproved money from our bank account. Be cautious when dealing with this hotel.

I often stay here when traveling for business. Staff is friendly, free shuttle to/ from the airport. Rooms are nice enough, though most I have been in have fake wood floors that let a lot of noise carry. Good restaurant/ bar and they have a pretty decent gym and an indoor outdoor pool.

The best breakfast buffet going. Made to order omelette and waffle. Impressed with facility. We will stay again.

Great location to stay in when going to see a concert at the Pageant Hotel. They had a free shuttle that took us to the concert, and the room price was almost 50% less than staying at closer hotels. (It was only 3 miles, or a ten dollar Uber ride away) Friendly front desk staff, comfortable rooms, and a nice workout area. Our room had a separate shower stall and a bath. Definitely recommend.

The rooms are updated and clean. Very large abs spacious. The pool is great and there is a decent game room with free games. A good value.

Easy to find. Attached garage. The event was well managed. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Really loved the large shower in the bathroom. Comfortable bed made sleeping peaceful and the complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning had lots of options and was very good.

We usually stay farther out when making a trip to St Louis, but found that Clayton Plaza was comparable in price to places in IL and much closer so we decided to give it a shot. The hotel looked great and all the employees we met were exceptionally nice. The parking garage was convenient and well lit, and made it easy to get to our room without back tracking too much. Our room was great, and I was surprised to see that the room had wood floors instead of standard hotel carpet, which was nice. The included breakfast was great and was much more upscale than the continental breakfast we're used to. Next time we come to St Louis, we'll definitely check availability here first!

The hotel was lovely and the staff was very helpful. The parking garage was under construction and we had a lot of difficulty finding a place to park. We then paid to have our parking validated and ended up not needing the validation due to the construction.

Stayed here for business. Came in to a bit of a frustrating situation — not the hotel's fault — and Jeremy Frye at the front desk straightened everything out in the kindest way possible. I'm am so appreciative of the time he took to get a room for me during a very busy time. Oh, and the breakfast buffet is pretty impressive! :) The staff is kind, and should keep up the great work! Excellent place to stay, I had a Gaming party for my 20th Birthday Party. When we arrived the bellman came and help us with our bags and TVs (We Brought those for our games). The swimming pool was excellent and they had an Excellent breakfast buffet all you Can Eat I highly recommend coming here!

Working in Clayton it is great to have an option for lunch that won't break the bank. Plaza grill is one of those few places. Combine that with a fast friendly staff that gets to know you and treats you like a family. Well it is truly hard to go anywhere else.

I travel quite often and maybe it was just our room? but the quality and feel of the accommodations were incredibly subpar. The entry, foyer, common areas are elevated to that of a 4 our 5 star hotel, however our room was more in the 2-3 star hotel caliber. Our go to for travel is the Hyatt family of hotels, and this was no where in the ballpark as nice as even their more everyday travel offerings. Our beds where on wheels, massive amounts of dust on visible cords like they'd never been cleaned, the bathroom — though the marble was pretty-looked like it had seen better days, and generally felt unclean. The furniture was worn, the halls were half wallpapered, literally. It was dark and uninviting once out of the elevator and in the hallway of the guest floors. Alongside our bed were huge rub marks, like someone had walked up and down the side of the bed holding a box that rubbed up and down the wall and left grey marks. Which is just gives an uncomfortable feeling. Overall, the staff were friendly and pleasant and the location is wonderful, but I would never pay as much as we did for this room and would recommend the Sheraton nearby even if it is a higher price point.

Incredible hotel and staff I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and this is better than the best of them! For us the staff is what made the difference. Carlos. June and Tom in the kitchen. Brandi and John at the bar and Jeremy at the front desk went out of the way to make us feel like VIP's like they knew us forever. We were cerebrating our wedding anniversary and our already planning a family vacation here next summer! This hotel should be your only choice if your visiting St Louis! Allen Tanner.

Loved this hotel. Rooms are clean staff is helpful and courteous. If you are traveling with kids there's a gameroom (no tokens required) and a pool. I'd highly recommend staying here. Also in lovely neighborhood.

I never write reviews but we loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was excellent. The pool with free arcade room was neat the kids loved it. The pool was an outdoor/indoor pool which added to the experience! The breakfast was so good with made to order omletes. We will be staying here for any future visits!

Service was ok but nothing spectacular. Drinks were pretty weak. I wouldn't find myself going back anytime soon.

Worst experience I've ever had at a hotel hands down. I travelled 2 hours to STL to watch the Mayweather fight in Ball Park Village. Hotels were sold out and we have stayed at Clayton Plaza hotel prior to this visit and liked it so we came back. So anywho, we went out and had some drinks and wanted to sleep in, check out wasnt till Noon so that was awesome. We had 7 different occurrences where the staff knocked on our door from 8am-Noon waking me every time making me go to the door, which pissed me off, so needless to say I over slept and then the 7th knock happens (the phone was broke in my room so the couldnt call me apparently) then I go to the door behind the door were TWO employees male and female like they needed a body gaurd to take me out of the room or something, then what happened next blew my mind they took a flash picture of me as I open the door with my shirt off and was very off putting why they did that I have no clue but was furious, I will never come back and then was charged for a 2nd day after all of that. Unbelievable!

Awesome staff. Room great. Cafe great. Parking still not best, but is due to construct. Reservations directly to hotel was better than one line. Staff always going out of way to make customer feel good.

The employees were very helpful. My Dad is elderly and has a hard time getting around. They were always will to help. If they couldn't answer our questions they got an answer for us. The restaurant has good food and the staff is great! The indoor/outdoor pool and game room was kept clean. We definitely would stay here again.

Had a terrible stay. From the reservations to parking to the evenings! Expensive despite a wedding block price! Construction in garage covered my newly washed car with construction dust… had to wash again. Bar closed early Fri and Sat nights and was not a fun place! Pool dirty. Hard to find your way around. The stars are only for the sweet wonderful staff who tried so hard. Even the garage gal was too sweet as well as the beleaguered bartender. Book on line! better prices!

Good breakfast that's included. Fun indoor/outdoor pool. We stayed two nights and there was a leaky sprinkler in our room. They switched us over easy and close so we didn't have to haul our luggage far. Rooms are similar but slightly vary in size. Can be cozy to fairly spacious for a double room.

Having stayed in many hotels in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and New York, I kind of knew what to expect of hotels in the US. Most can't compare to the five star ones in Asia in amenities, ambiance, room appointments and the grandure of the hotel's surrounds and I'm referring to US brand name hotels like Hilton and Sharaton. The Clayton Plaza Hotel here in Saint Louis is comparable to many of the better hotels in the US. One thing however stands out though, none of the others have their owner introduce and greet their guests every morning in the breakfast restaurant. 88 year old Mr. Pete Zes walks around and chats with each and every guest that is there having their breakfast and I was impressed by his sincerity and warmth in extending his welcome to both myself and wife to Saint Louis. It was obvious that he was very proud of his establishment and his belief in providing service with a personal touch and this is evident in all the staff at this hotel. Thank you Mr Zes for setting the standard for your staff to follow.

I had a great stay. The room was clean and the people were very friendly. I took their shuttle to and from the airport and the drivers were erythromycin friendly. I would highly recommend.

The Clayton Plaza Hotel was a great place to stay for our weekend trip. Some of the amenities include free parking, free vouchers for a very nice breakfast, and high speed internet and cable. The check in staff was very polite and helpful. Check in was painless and our room was very clean. Only complaint would be the people in the room next to ours; there was a door separating our room from their room and they had 3 kids and were very loud at time (sometimes even banging on the partition door). This isn't a complaint about the hotel itself, but the people staying in that room at that particular time. We notified the hotel staff and the problem was solved fairly quickly. As a frequent traveler, I know my way around hotels and can usually tell the good ones from the bad. This hotel is a very nice hotel in a very nice area (Clayton and Ladue are two of the most prominent neighborhoods in St. Louis). I recommend this hotel very much!

It was great. Breakfast was phenomenal, the owner stopped by to say hello! The room was well equipped, the only thing I would have liked would be a bathrobe. To not give one is kinda lame.

Terrible front desk. I had a great stay at the Clayton, then I got charged for my room on my personal card when I made clear at Checkin that my company pays for the hotel on the card they booked with. No one told me there was a special form for my company to fill out to use their card and I stay in hotels every week and never deal with this. A few weeks later I saw a — $500 on my personal card I used for "incidentals" at check in. This pissed me off as I didn't see it coming. I instantly called the front desk and was told about that paper, so I hurried and had my company fill it out and fax it in and was told I'd get my money back by midnight. The next day rolls around and I'm still — $500 which makes it impossible for me to get gas to get home Sunday so I have to ask my boyfriend for money help which I'm NOT okay with. I called back and was told the bank had to call the hotel to release the money. Did that, and when the bank and I called the hotel together was told that we don't have a code to release the money and they don't know who I talked to 20 minutes prior that would say that. So basically I was lied to a few times and am still — $500! I'm screwed for the weekend and no one can give me my money back until Monday if that. How fantastic…

I attended a dinner for the PMI Metro St. Louis chapter, so didn't spend much time here outside of the ballroom. Everything was completely satisfactory. The hotel staff was nice, the food was great, and I enjoyed the experience.

I haven't stayed here before but we found a good deal online. The staff were uninterested unengaged, I called down to enquire about a shuttle to a location and was simply told no. Not the incorrect response but again it's like I'm at McDonald's. The room looked clean and the floors in the room are laminate wood, easier to clean but not very comfortable I do however think I like that better since hotels aren't always cleaned well. The hvac in the window was loud and distracting and finally the picture on the TV was choppy like it was coming through an antenna. There are tons of places to plug in devices in the room just no actual USB ports (since I forgot charger). Then there was a CD player radio alarm clock. In case I have those cd's on my I want to listen to?! Overall seemed pretty outdated and the buffet while included was not very good, the omelet station burned my omelet.

I love this hotel everything from the reception (Janice Shaw) who so professionally greeted us to offer all the percs of the hotel to the restaurant where the service is impecable thanks to the manager James Lee and the food is a pleasant experince. I travel a great deal and I will not ever book anywhere else while in St Louis. The rooms are great and the wood floors are lovely. This place is a Good value and wonderful atmosphere.

Great room, clean, spacious, comfy bed with great TV, and spotless marble bathroom. Great convenient location for all the business in Clayton.

We stayed here in order to spend the weekend at the zoo. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, the breakfast was amazing. Best part if all the rooms had hardwood floors and not carpet! We all know how gross carpet can get. The indoor/outdoor pool was fun for the kids and they even had an arcade with all the games set to free play. A great family friendly expierence. We will be staying here on future visits for sure.

I love this hotel! I was on a business trip to the area. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and huge! There was plenty of space for my laptop and other files throughout the desk area. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and included chef prepared 3 egg omelets with a variety of pastries, sausages, bacon, and breakfast pizza. It was such a pleasant surprise to be greeted by owner, Pete Zes, at our breakfast table. He was going table to table greeting the guests. The Crowne Plaza — Clayton is a warm and welcome change to the cold and sterile environment of the bigger chains. I will definitely return to this hotel.

We got into town very early and they let us check in early which was very helpful. The breakfast was great, room was big and clean, newly updated. The complimentary internet was fast and reliable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. About a 5 minute walk from the Clayton Metrolink stop as well, so very convenient. Will stay here again when I'm in town.

Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds and super soft linens. Staff was very friendly. Nice fitness center. Did not choose restaurant for dinner however it did have a FABULOUS breakfast buffet. Many tasty choices hot and cold. Breakfast staff and chefs very friendly and excellent service. Will stay here again!
