After staying one night at the Hampton inn Rochester, which was disgusting… we checked in to the Marriott. Night and day. And literally at Mayo, you never have to walk outside! the staff is so aware that everyone is here for medical issues, they could not be more kind and caring. The pool is awesome and heated for sore joints… the restaurant is super good… it's worth every penny. Thank you Marriott!

We had items stolen from this hotel. I accidentally left my 2yo's bath toys in the bathroom, realized it just a few hours later and called immediately… I had to call four or five times that week, leave four or five messages, and only ever got one call back. The housekeeping manager said they couldn't find the toys and had no answers for me about where they went. He did not offer much help, even though I was very detailed about what they were and exactly where they were left. I kept calling for almost two weeks and no one ever resolved the issue. Clearly, someone from housekeeping took the toys home for their children instead of turning them in. My husband coaches a huge wrestling program that comes to Rochester every spring for the State tournament… we won't be staying here again. Dishonest employees and completely unhelpful management. It's not about the cost of the toys, it's about the principle and whether this is a trustworthy establishment. It's not.

I have never met a more friendly, more outgoing or more accommodating hotel staff than this one. The breakfast was awesome and the connection to the subway was a godsend. Thanks for an incredible week! We'll be back!

Excellent hotel, very clean, staff are great from the front desk to the bell hops. Super nice, sure courteous, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Room rates are comparable with those around and within walking distance of so many places to eat.

We stay in Rochester every summer. We love the Marriott. One of the better hotels. Clean. Spacious rooms. Very nice!

Really nice rooms. Easy access to main hospital and surrounding buildings. A bit pricier than some of the other options in the area.

I was there while my brother in law was getting evaluated by doctors. Wow that's place is so cool. He has since started treatments and says everyone there is fantastic.

Our room was very nice and spacious, double sinks which is awesome when you're trying to get ready away from home and there's multiple people who need to use the mirror and sink. Nice new TV's and beautiful view of the square and fountain. Easy access to downtown restaurants and Civic center.

What a great location! You're connected to epicenter of care. The hotel offers very comfortable beds — Not to soft nor to firm. Somewhere between perfect and just right. I highly recommend.

Love this place. They make you feel comfortable here. They listen to you which is very rare and they take there time with you. They explain things to you and don’t try to rush u out the door.

The Rochester Marriott treated me and my company extremely well for the entire duration of my stay. The room service was prompt and the food was delectable. Late night our bartender was charismatic and the drinks were very delicious.

Holes in the sheets and shabby mattress pad. Hair and lots of it in Bathroom, even under the dirty coasters for the drinking glasses, hint do not use! Garbage in dresser drawer. No pen in sight, dust apparent. Pretty room at a nice location but not well maintained. You will know someone stayed before you.

The Marriott flag should be flown at half mast, or upside down. The “renovations” have been half-hearted and incomplete with some furnishings appearing decades old and distressed. It appears the ownership does not care but knows enough of us will stay because of it’s proximity to Mayo. This property would not even earn 2 stars if not for a few experienced staff who are exceptional, dedicated, good people.

Nice hotel. It's paid parking next door. Lot gets full when conventions in town. Budget for $27 extra a day to valet park. Only one working elevator, so takes some extra time to get up and down with 6 floors.

We decided to get some appetizers at Salute! It was one of the only eating establishments open at that time that was connected to Mayo Clinic. We ordered a crab cake and a calamari appetizer. The crab cake was pan-fried and topped with argula greens drizzled with oil with a Dijon mustard-like sauce and a half of a lemon. The calamari came with a marinara sauce and a tangy mustard horseradish mayonnaise sauce on the side. The calamari consisted of deep-fried, medium-sized rings and tentacles. I would highly recommend the crab cake as it was rich, buttery and seasoned well.

Breakfast restaurant very poor, quality and service. Hot tub was warm at best and only 1 elevator that took approx 10 minutes at times never less than a 3 minute wait. Final day provided feedback to the front desk after not even extending the courtesy of asking how the stay was (while waiting 20 minutes for valet). We we're interrupted rudely and when we said how rude it was the response we got back was "I'm new". If you are to new to ask how a stay was perhaps you shouldn't be working the front desk by yourself (at 7:30 on a weekday work morning).

Nice hotel conveniently located near St Mary's and restaurants, with shuttle service to downtown. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained place, although we basically just slept overnight and didn't use the other amenities, so a little pricey from that perspective.

If you like super soft beds, this place is for you. I like a firm mattress, so it was hard to sleep. I asked for a recliner for the room and confirmed it upon arrival, but didn't get one. It ended up being fine to not have it, but I feel that this lack was indicative of their overall service.

I've attended several conferences at the various ballrooms and the amenities are average at best. One conference room, in particular, temperature was harshly chilly both days of our seminar and many colleagues brought sweaters the following day, as the chill was a distraction. The lunch buffet was cold and offered over-carbohydrated-over-caloried options. The chairs and decor needed a good updating; but overall staff was friendly when within the vicinity.

Location has immediate access to multiple shops and restaurant, with comfy modern style rooms complete with amazing staff and service.

Great space! I went to a workshop here and the food was wonderful and the room was set up well so that everyone could see the presentation.

I was there for a convention. Got upgraded as they had run out of double rooms. The concierge lounge was an awesome resource for quick drinks between sessions. Room was well stocked and the front desk was more than helpful.

It is very nice having the Marriot so close to several Mayo Clinics and hospital. The staff was always friendly and helpful, while still being very professional.

Terrible Service. I was offered a complimentary stay at Marriott. When I called and explained that I had a free stay and who was paying, they routed me to central booking (some call center). I was put on hold for 15 minutes with central booking. Central booking said I had to book my type of stay directly with hotel. Called hotel again, person at desk said that I had to book through central booking and that others with the same situation were routed in similar manner. I asked for a manager or anyone who does reservations directly at hotel and was told none were onsite (it was 6pm on a Friday…). The person explained I should try with central booking again and blamed the mistake on them. After another 20 minutes on hold. Central booking said my reservation had to be made directly with hotel and they called the hotel to make sure. They told me the person at front desk would direct me to correct department at Rochester Marriott hotel this time. Called hotel direct again, person at front desk apologized and directed me to sales. I received their voicemail because no one was in office until Monday. After 3 attempts, decided to book a different hotel. Thanks for nothing Marriott.

The room itself is pretty nice, might need better cleaning in the bathroom, but overall is comfortable. The building is connected to the mayo clinic, using below-ground walkways. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool area is surprisingly dope. It's a huge indoor room with a jacuzzi and a good amount of pool chairs. The workout room is just a flight of stairs above the pool area. I would suggest putting disinfecting wipes there though. I've never used valet services before now, but it's very good as well. You just call them asking for your car, and they'll get it within 10 minutes. If you ever need to go to the mayo clinic, this hotel would probably be your best bet.

Wonderful area that is well maintained. Direct access to Mayo via underground pedestrian subway. Plenty of shops in the mall and a good selection of places to eat.

Excellent service. Hotel is a bit old but decent for business travel. Great 24 hr lounge.

This was our first stay at a Marriott. We were there for a baseball tournament and had paid for rhe concierge level. While the room was nice, the experience left a terrible impression. The concierge lounge was consistently cleared out by one of the other teams who had a friend with concierge access. We called the let the front desk know and were rold that they would restock in the morning. Most of the staff seemed to have a lax attitude about complaints that were made by several guests on the concierge levels. The only 2 bright spots on the staff were the concierge manager Heather and Pam in the concierge lounge. Aside from those two outstanding members of the staff our experience was memorable for the wrong reasons.

I didn't do much. Just walked around. My friend is from the area and was showing me the City of Rochester… It was beautiful.

The front line staff is excellent. We had an issue with reservations and front line staff went out of their way to make everything work out. Front desk amd restaurant staff make this hotel work. Room was comfortable and hotel is convenient.

I stayed at the Marriott the last 2 weekends and the customer service was the best I have received from a hotel in a long time. The front desk greeted us with a smile. Pam in the lounge went over the top and was eager to please. The bar tenders had great service all night even into the late hours. Miki the general manager was awesome. We have stayed here a few years ago and things were just OK but this time it felt like a different hotel. Keep up the great work and customer service.

The downtown area feels so jammed sometimes… really would like things spread out throughout the city more.

The service is amazing. Everyone was so nice and polite. The rooms, hallways, and bathrooms are clean and tidy.

Clean rooms, nice staff. Hot tub was cold first night, so hot the next I couldn't even get in it.

In the hotel Marriott stairs need to be better. Only viable option is elevator that is slow. Stairs are to difficult to get to any other floor.

The hotel is very nice. The only thing that we found to be a challenge is the parking ramp not being attached to the hotel. Also the pool is small.

We reserved a room with a king size bed, but we were told the rooms were sold out. The front desk also told my wife since she is a Mayo Clinic patient, other customers take priority over patients at Mayo Clinic. This room is NOT WORTH $329.00/night. We would be staying at the Doubletree again but they are booked. So very disappointmented with Marriott.

I needed a room at 12pm noon check-in (due to another hotels false promises to have one for me, for "medical purposes"). They had a king bed with a hydabed for a pretty expensive price but I went ahead and reserved it. The room was smaller and cozy and had everything we needed for one night. The pool was nice, as well. I would stay there again — as long as the rates weren't so darn expensive! Overall, I would recommend.

Best hotel in the clinic area! I've stayed at all in the area but the kahler and this is my favorite! The staff is phenomenal.

What a fantastic hotel and amazing staff! Everyone was so friendly especially the super nice men who parked the cars. The pool area could be a little cleaner, it didn't look like surfaces got wiped down out there in the time we were there but on the whole it was nice and fairly posh. The breakfast food was quite well done too.

I have stayed at many hotels in Rochester, MN. Because of our many visits to the Mayo Clinic located there. But I have never stayed at one four-star and this one deserves that. Everything about it was first-class, but most remarkable was the tasteful, elegant and beautifully designed rooms. The beds couldn't have been better. My only regret is that I couldn't have stayed longer than I did.

I traveled to Rochester to see my niece take the lead role in the local high school musical and wanted to avoid staying on the couch and relatives at my brother’s house. Figuring Rochester would be quiet on the weekend I checked into the Marriott attached to the Mayo Medical Center. Little did I know Rochester was filled with families for wrestling, volleyball and even table tennis tournaments. Even though the hotel was jammed, it was peaceful and the beds were so comfortable I wanted to strap in on the roof of my SUV and take it home. Service was great, I was in an out in a matter of minutes. The room was spacious, spotless, with a generous bathroom, sure beats my brother’s home and barking dog.
