I've been staying at the West Sacramento Motel 6 quite a lot over the last few weeks. Their low rates brought me in, but their excellent customer service brings me back again and again. Every contact I have with any employee there has been nothing but great. They're all friendly and considerate, and even ask about my dog! Another very important thing they do is pay close attention to who is on the property, and if they shouldn't be there, the staff quickly takes care to remove that person. When I have to be away from home, this is the next most comfortable place to stay.

I was in West Sacramento on Business and my company made the hotel reservation, generally Motel 6 is not my first choice. But I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by this location, the staff have been both friendly/professional and have been quick to help with any of my needs. The rooms look updated modern and clean, the same with the outside and grounds. Management really seems to take pride in this property and it really shows. The pool is fresh and clean and seems new or very well-kept. For my four nights staying at the property everything was quite at night and they had a security guard on property. So certainly a great value for your money for a clean well run hotel.

My daughter and I had an excellent experience at the West Sacramento Motel 6! The staff truly care about their customers and go above and beyond to help! While staying at motel 6, I needed to visit the Emergency Room. I let the front desk know and employee, Satya, made sure to book us a bigger room with more space in order for me to recover in comfort! I was touched by this gesture and I recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are always clean and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. My daughter loved the clean pool and saying hello to the staff members! I can't thank Motel 6 in west Sacramento enough for the amazing service! We will be staying here again and again in the future!

2 star for the overall condition of the room. 5 star for the friendly front desk lady. The room needs a lot of maintenance! It was non-smoking but I can smell that people have been smoking inside. There are cigarette burns on the floors and bathtub!

Thank you motel 6. The room was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. The environment was relaxing. The external environment is peaceful. The parking was Well lit with security. There is a Denny's across the street. Right off the freeway. Thank You, Prasad, Angelique, Cynthia, Stanley and the rest of the staff, at Halyard for making our stay, awesome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. $74/night may be cheap but not very if the table rattled when one walked. The building seems to be of cheap quality mobile building. During my stay, there were kids running on the deck after midnight, and the bed shook. Around 2 am, someone tried to open my door and ran away after he/she failed. It seems to no camera monitors exited. I strongly suggest the motel to put some monitors.

A good place to stay. Usually has availability and a fair price. Both Satya, and Angelica at the front desk always take good care of me.

Security there is and Ass hole, Once I got in the office to check in Mrs Yesha was very pleasing. She tried to help me find the proper room she treated me like a guest not an inmate. As I as was checking in or trying to check in the security came in acting like I was in prison so I went to check in next door. My mom had pass that night she was rude as ever. I loved the front Desk Clerk but I had to leave do to security acting that way. Great front Desk but security NO WAY SHE ACT LIKE THE POLICE ‍♀️ My stars ⭐️ Goes to Yesha for being Great! She is the Best.

The staff was friendly, check-in was fast, the room was clean. Great room for the price. Will surely stay again when in town again.

After staying in many motel 6 locations in California this one definetly stands above the rest. Friendly staff. Clean updated rooms. Hot coffee in the morning. Pets stay free. They also take the time and staff enough people to make sure their parking lot is secure and gave me a courtesy call when I got into my room to make sure the room was in good condition and It made a big difference. I'd recommend the Sacremento west location for others looking for a clean budget hotel in the area!

If you are African American do not stay here they are racist. Even if the White security gard see a little child she ask name and age I watched her not ask a white couple any questions about there children I get off work and get to hotel at 12:30pm I am stopped and asked about my kids who I was carrying one in that was sleeping then office called rooms and wakes my son up it's only Black people thy act that way with take your business elsewhere.

It has been very relaxing and enjoyable. Quiet… I especially enjoyed Diane. She has a very nice spirit about her and her customer service skills are the best… Thank you Diane it's been a pleasure.

I stayed at this location for seven days. I had to write down the names and birthdates of my three daughters. Three nights I came in late and the security guard would check me in. One particular night my key card didn’t work so the security guard assisted me. We couldn’t get the door open so the security Guard called the front desk receptionist and asked her to call the room. When my oldest daughter who is 17 finally opened the door then the security guard said who’s that in the bed? I said my set of twins who are 15 are in one bed and my 17-year-old is in the other bed. Guard: well we only have on here that there are three people in the room. I said I signed in three daughters and one adult that would make four people. I decided to check out and then make a reservation and check back in. To my surprise, the manager told me that I was on a do not serve this customer list. He told me I was not allowed to going to the room because I had a person in the room over the age of 21. I am 6 feet 1” my daughter is 6 feet. She is not 21 she is 17 and my twins are 15. Due to the lack of proper documentation of who was going to be in the room they assumed that my oldest daughter was an adult. They could’ve asked me for her birth Certificate. I happily walked away and took my business elsewhere. Do not stay here. They also said that I left the room messy.

Oh dear… This is seriously the grossest place I have every stayed. Budget hotels with just the basics are FINE, but this was dirty & dangerous. We stayed here for an overnight school field trip & I seriously feel like we endangered the kids! For the positive: the front staff was very sweet & helpful. The security guard also takes her job seriously (she'll factor into this review again later…) & diligently monitors the property through the night. And for the negative: — Nonsmoking room was obviously previously a smoking room. By the stench, I'd say as recently as last week :/ When you open the door you just. Smell. Smoke. — It is beyond dingy & cheap. There are all kinds of marks on the walls, floor, bathtub, toilet, etc. The molding was peeling off. There was rust/mold around the bathtub. They obviously slapped together whatever "remodel" they did — — there are globs of epoxy & other signs that they rushed through their job. — IT IS SO DIRTY! Bed had sooooooo much hair in it. And it seemed to be hair from many people. So gross. The sheets also had cigarette burns. The towels were dingy & stained. Ugh — not safe. I was awaken at 3:30am by the security guard banging on my neighbor's door & yelling "you are evicted immediately without a refund, vacate the premises". I found out the next morning that that room had people going in & out all night — probably drug or sex being dealt! So stay away from here at any cost.

I stayed in the Motel 6 for Christmas as a home base to make lunches for the homeless in Sacramento. I was concerned about if it would be clean enough because of the low price for the night but was pleasantly surprised to find my room very clean and comfortable. When I walked into the office I was greeted with a friendly smile and was told Merry Christmas. It was very nice and I will definitely stay there again when I need a room.

I stayed here a little over two weeks and its one of the best motels I've stayed in. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was super nice. I love that they have security at night and a lot of parking. The nicest motel in the west for sure I didn't even think of any other place.

It was a nice quite motel 6. Not a bunch of thugs like some around Sac. Laidback cool spot.

Our experience during our stay here as been great so far. For us the customer service here is outstanding. When we checked in I was car sick and Angelica offered me a glass of water and asked if there was anything else she could do. The front desk has called me a few times during our two week stay just to make sure we are happy with our stay. Our room is clean, safe, bug free and comfortable! I would stay here again:)

We have stayed here several times now when we are in the area. The staff here is Very friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay for a quick trip/ for rest, it provides the basic needs for a restful stay. ALSO what makes this Motel stand out among the rest of the other Chains… is its Friendly Staff! Thank you always Satia for always accommodating us regardless of our arrival time! Give stars on customer Service!

Room was nice. Although ive never had to "register" my guests or pay extra for them. Seems like a slimy way to squeeze a few dollars out of everyone. Also this is the first hotel that I have ever had to pay for Wi-Fi, like seriously? The only A+ here were the housekeepers. Never staying at this location again.

The rooms are homey nice TV nice comfy bed. The bathroom is spacious nice shower soft running water. Nice wood flooring. Housekeeping was on it. Security does their part also he watched us drive up and ask us questions. Not far grom local fast food and stores overall. It was a perfect stay.

Got into Sac airport at 5:30pm. Tried look for a inexpensive clean little motel around West Sac. All the ones in this motels price range We're filled with shady people. Trash everywhere. Not this 1 clean well lighted secure friendly clean and safe. Recommend to every one. This place really does leave the lights on.

Absolutely horrible. Disgusting rooms. No fridge. Wifi, that they charge you for, ($5 per day) won't connect. Refused to refund the rest of my money so I could go somewhere decent. Do not bring your kids here! 0 stars. Also refused to refund my money for the Wi-Fi that doesn't work. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I've stayed in ghetto hotels that are better. Michelle is the only good worker in this establishment. Everyone else was no help. Do not stay here. Motel 6 won't even return my emails to correct the issues.

Place was like a prison. Everyone going to the hotel had to register at the front desk and register there car, even if they where only visiting. If you had a meeting there everyone would have to go to the front office as if there staying there, and register there name and car. There is no need for that. If the motel was in a bad neighborhood, I might agree with it, but the neighborhood was excellent. I have stayed in Motel 6 where the neighborhood wasn't that good and they didn't have such a system. I spend almost 7 months in Motel 6 during the year and have spent over $10, 000, based on a $55.00 night charge. I thought that this Motel 6 was a franchise because of this system, but was told its corporate own. Thanks for the service, but I'm not going to stay at any Motel 6 anymore.

The worst place I've ever stayed, upon check in at approximately 6pm we were told our room was not ready as it was still being cleaned. There were several other guests being told the same thing. The room smelled awful, the bed cover was stained and had holes burnt into it. The drapes were stained, the window sill was dirty. It was 102° outdoors, the A/C, was not working properly, the fan had very little output. The toilet seat had what appeared to be dried paint on it and looked gross, I took a sanitizing wipe and wiped the seat off, the wipe was soiled. I had to track down house keeping to get another towel and wash clothes, the towels had black stains on them. My husband found a used bar of soap on top of the shower stall. The wall by the toilet paper holder was very soiled, the counter top had hair on it. We had our dog with us, the only area we could find to take her was absolutely covered in waste, it was so bad we she wouldn't go near that area. There was also a wasp nest right outside our door, I can't believe housekeeping hasn't spotted the bees yet. The television remote was greasy, thank goodness I had sanitizing hand wipes with me. At this point I am sure you must be wondering why we didn't run. We had driven 11hrs and were exhausted, I tried to no avail to find another motel, every one was booked or did not accept pets. This was our only option, well other than sleeping in our truck.

Website lists a 3pm check in time. Arrived at 2:30 was told my room won't be ready til 4:30 or 5. Staff was not terribly sorry about the delay, they were more concerned about going to lunch. Once in the room we could hear every person who walked by. We were on 2nd floor and when people walked by it shook the whole floor. Parking was not great. No parking on back of building where our room was. Pool was open but dirty. Overall you get what you pay for when you stay at Motel 6. Which isn't much.

Our visit this time was much better. The amazing outside parking lot lighting and night time security guard made us feel so much more comfortable. Our last visit was a bit scary. Our room was neat and clean. It would be nice to have kleenex in the rooms. The young girl in the office on our last night was awesome. The ice machine was getting hit really hard because it was hot. We went into the office to see what we could do to get some ice. She said she would get us some as soon as the machine was ready and give us a call. We got a call a few minutes and she had already pulled it from the machine and had it ready for us when we went to the office! Next level service! It was a very nice stay.

Starting off I made a 7-Day reservation and upon check-in was told the company policy was they would only allow me to pay for 3 days. My reasoning be that they did not want to keep too much cash on hand just in case I wanted a refund in a day or two. That should have been my first red flag. It took me over a half hour of arguing with management to make sure if I only paid 3 days now and came back and pay the rest later that my rate would not change from what it was when I booked the room previously. Finally after much argument they agreed. Upon my third day there I went to the office to pay the remaining four days of my 7-Day stay. On my 4th day after returning from working all day I then received a message from the front desk saying that company policy is no microwaves or mini refrigerators allowed in the rooms. Bloom's this movie a company policy and one that would affect customers I would imagine it we should be posted somewhere someway but it wasn't. The management demanded that I either remove the microwave and mini refrigerator immediately or terminate my stay at their facility. There was no way I had the gas money to be able to do so nor a place to take it. The management kept on saying this is not my problem. That seem to be as Catch Phrase the whole time. This is not my problem. Now I know this is not company policy because in a previous stay at one of your facilities microwave and mini refrigerator works applied for the rooms.

I stayed at Motel 6 for 3 nights. My room was just perfect for myself and my dog; yes, they are pet friendly! The location is off the freeway, with the convenience of a 24 hour Denny's Restaurant across the street. My room was in close proximity of the office, vending machines and the ice machine, available 24/7. I chose not to have room service, but if any of the cleaning staff saw me out and about, they always asked If I needed anything. The office staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I felt comfortable walking my dog, just before bedtime, because of security on the premises as night. I definitely will return. Thank you.

Motel 6 is basic but very clean (thank you Housekeeping! and the beds were comfortable. Front Desk staff were very courteous and pleasant even as quite a few people suddenly arrived to check-in. The price was very reasonable for a quick, overnight stay. One thing I was very uncomfortable with is that my sister & I, who were sharing a room, had to have our Driver's Licenses scanned to the Police Department. The clerk's explanation was that if there was a fire then the police would know who was staying there. I've been renting hotel/motel rooms for over 40 years and have never had this happen. Both my sister and I were extremely uncomfortable about this invasion of our privacy. As a result, I would choose to stay at another motel/hotel as my first and second choice rather than this Motel 6. This is unfortunate because it was a clean, reasonably priced place to stay.

I checked in and the two at the front desk appeared weird. Stared at me in a suspicious way. I also paid cash for internet. After I paid I noticed a disgusting fat white man staring at me. He stood at his room with no shirt on. He was staring at my car and me to see where I was going to stay for the night. When I went upstairs he went inside. The linens and bed had stains on them and room did not seem clean. When I went to my car the creeper came outside again without his shirt fat belly and all. I immediately came back and asked for my money back and told them about the predator guest at the end of the hotel. The indian guy working the desk talked down to me and said I was not in danger. Um yeah. Right. The woman said she refunded me. Still awaiting refund. I went to a quiter safer place. This hotel has a creepy vibe! Ladies. I would avoid this one!

Stayed at the West Sacramento Motel 6 for two nights in a smoking room. The staff was very courteous although a small wait time to check in. You have to pay for Wi-Fi at the front desk as it is not free. The room was very clean with decent non squeaky hard wood floors. Bathroom was small but okay. This location did have a pool but we did not use it as it is right in front of some rooms and it wasn't shaded. The room came with a large flat screen with Dish Satellite. I would recommend this room if your looking for affordable and decent.

These people leaving bad reviews are Ridiculous. They know this a MOTEL 6 RIGHT? Just read some of these reviews; "I didn't know I had to pay for Wi-Fi *2 stars*" Really? You're paying $60 a night for a room and you want *free* stuff? Done, next, "They asked for *so much information* I had to SHOW MY ID, *2 Stars*" Really? You had to SHOW IDENTIFICATION, when checking in? MY GOD. Has this person ever been to a hotel before in their life? Then there's the lady complaining about Motel 6 not providing a dog bowl for her? Wow. Okay. This is a MOTEL 6, if you know what that is, you'll have a great experience.

The front desk clerk denied me Wi-Fi access because according to her I was sarcastic when she told me I have to pay for it. THINK TWICE BEFORE STAYING HERE Their Web site does not state Wi-Fi is an extra charge. When I asked her how much the pool cost she said that's it no Wi-Fi for you. I said I'll pay, she said no and that's that. I need Wi-Fi for my online company so her denying me is going to cost me money and other problems This hotel clerk thinks she can tell me that I can't have Wi-Fi because she said so this isn't going to bode well she went as far as to call security for no reason sounds like some sort of scam, she said I can deal with it in the morning WOW time to check out and complain to Orbitz and her boss and his boss and so on.

The good thing is there is a freeway containment wall that muffles the traffic noise. We've stayed in a couple of rooms there and they both appeared to be a bit worn it doesn't seem like this location does much in terms of the upkeep of their rooms. There was an issue with TV channels not working for a few days until a technician came out to fix the problem. The Wi-Fi was okay. They charge a fee to fax. We forgot a large dog water bowl behind called w/n an hour or so of departing to see if they could put it aside for us they claimed it was not in the room.

They wanted too much information at checkin. Needed to show ID to stay even though the reservation was under my husbands name and almost didn't accept mine because it had expired 3 days earlier. (Had a temporary paper one from DMV) Also no toliet lid in bathroom and no shampoo or conditioner. Towels were really small and rough to use.

The room was clean, I felt comfortable sleeping there. The Wi-Fi was 5 bucks per day per device that's insane could not get extra pillows, had to call the front desk to request not to be disturbed because its all digital no more signs which leave room for error in my opinion. Customer service was terrible as well.

Even though my four-legged "kids" were not with me on my most recent Motel 6 stay, I always choose Motel 6 because they are good to my "kids! " And most of the time, the facilities are very good. I know many people like the luxury of higher priced facilities; but I always remember a brilliantly TRUE Motel 6 Ad from years ago … a beautifully framed, totally black image — approximately 30X36 inches — with a small white-lettered statement at the bottom: "This is what more expensive rooms look like while you are sleeping. " Think about it! Unpretentious and factual. :-)

I travel a lot and stay at Motel 6 often largely because I save money. I find they are similar usually and have almost all gone to the hardwood floors with a flat screen TV. Obviously you get what you pay for there is no breakfast no extras just a simple room to spend the night, watch TV, and take a shower. This one unfortunately did not have a laundry room for guests. I scheduled my trip so I could stay here do my laundry and go back to work tomorrow but unfortunately now I have to figure something else out. The room seems fine and the typical higher California price was still under $70 after taxes.

Really nice people working here. Way better than the hotel next door! The rooms are all remodeled and clean. Would much rather stay here than some of the sketchy places on Capitol.

I needed a last minute place to stay with my puppy, and I haven't been to a Motel 6 since the upgrade. Wow, I really like the "feel" of the rooms now. I just needed a clean and comfortable room for the night and this was precisely what I was looking for!

When looked up o the Web this had a 4 star rating. With a 4 star rating I would hate to see what a one star rating would get you. Needless to say I hated it. My room was dirty to start with. Dirt and debris on floor, someone's used toothpick on bed stand, soap or toothpaste residue in sink. Night person took copies of my license as well as my mom's and AARP card. But never gave us a discount on our room for using the card. When asked why he needed both of our Id's he stated that was the rule. I've never been asked before for ID for all guests staying in a room. Needless to say I won't be back. This place was the worst one I've stayed in.

BEWARE! The worst staff ever! They went through all of my things I have fingerprint dust to prove that they went through my stuff. Buyer beware complain to corporate no one did a thing and I got put on the Do not rent this place is evil stay far away. Try to find the people that wrote these + reviews you can't even find these positive review people? It's a lie STAY FAR AWAY buyer beware.

Horrible, I have pictures and videos of everything. Hair all over the rolled up towels and in the bathtub and paid 2.99 for Wi-Fi that only allows 1 device in it at a time. And then had the police next door because people were drinking. Very disappointed.

Stayed here twice in the last 6 months, whenever I am in the area and need somewhere to stay this place will get my business, easy check in, comfortable and clean room.

This particular motel 6 has always had a steady and consistent quality to it that makes me feel safe and relaxed each time I stay here. Thanks for the stability! good job.

Very, very clean. The staff was friendly, accommodating and attentive to the property. I stayed Friday/Saturday/Sunday and evenings were quiet. A great value.
