On the way to the hotel, I passed many homeless people. Best to go on! At breakfast there was basically always the same, but it was okay. The room as well as the bathroom were large. You can't complain.

On the return journey to the airport, a service was offered, which should also be used. But beware: the driver wanted to cash in twice. Although already paid in the hotel.

Unpretentious hotel, standard mansion room the bathroom quite large but with the tub. Cleaning not the most the sheets and towels had some stains. For breakfast almost everything packaged, acceptable.

If you enjoy the smell of piss and sound of rats when you open your window then I recommend it. There is no ventilation in the rooms, so your only option is to open the window which leads to a disgusting alley that is full of trash bags, pigeons and rats (which I could hear from the second floor). Also, the windows are dangerous. If you have small rambunctious children I do not recommend because the windows are low to the ground and there is no barrier to stop them from falling out when they're open. The bathrooms have minimal shelf space. I don't recommend.

Central Hotel and a step away from Union Square. Nice and helpful staff The room with no big pretensions was still clean. The breakfast was very small Advised… saw the prices of San Francisco!

Enjoyed the hotel overall. Building was rather old but decently renovated, and had a certain charm to it. Everything seemed relatively clean. Nice modern lobby with plenty of seating to eat and relax. Free continental breakfast in the morning, and coffee, tea, and oatmeal are available 24/7, which is nice. One small complaint is that I was not able to get cell service in my room, and the hotel Wi-Fi was not very fast, and I frequently got disconnected.

Basic rooms, but reasonable and location very central. Breakfast very simple and breakfast room crowded. Would only recommend if nothing else available.

Small room, limited breakfast, good location to SF.

This is the second time we stayed here… the location is the only reason I am giving it one star. Upon check in the desk agent could not find my reservation, even though he had my phone with the confirmation email. And for some reason it was my fault. I was told I needed to make a new reservation and pay again, even though I had already been charged. Fast forward to 8am when the maid was vacuuming right outside the door. Thanks for letting me not sleep in a bed that I paid for. Do yourself a favor… Spend the extra $30 and stay at the Hilton or Marriott.

Don't have a picture of it but boy a queen size bed in a small room barely enough room to walk around but clean and reasonable quiet your cell phones don't work very good cuz your boxed in but everything else works fine TV's everything's okay HBO.

Room was ok, little bit on the older side, bathroom clean and enough space. Breakfastwas a little bit disappointing, it was very simple, just a few items to choose from and limited sitting space.

Unbeatable location near Union Square, if you are not looking for luxuries, it is a good place, they are somewhat stingy with the amenities, but overall it's good place, Sį would go back.

Worst hotel ever stay away. It doesnt have AC at all which blows because room gets super stuffy. Also the room smells like mildew. To add on something else. They require 100 $ deposit at the hotel plus a 51 dollar fee for parking. They also charged me for the 2 plus another charge for the hotel as if I was staying again. Now I lost $270 because which the promise a refund to the $100 which they didnt do. I call them back to ask what was going on and they couldnt give me answers. And severe homlessness harassing outside the hotel up and down the street. Stay away from this place if you can it is horrible.

It was ok, clean and good priced. The included breakfast was basic, only carbs available, nothing fresh. I had to pieces of bottled water in my room of which one was half empty when I arrived. I mentioned that at the reception but they did not care or ever brought extra bottles during my 6 nights stay.

Being an old building still feels the comfort and excellent attention and also they are not gaudy but you have credit card.

The room is clean, oero have been working on remodeling outside the bedroom and you hear everything. They didn't change the bath towels every day. The bed is comfortable, but the bedroom lacks a lot of remodeling.

So I thought I'd better save the position.

It is a warm, clean, comfortable, modern place. Our stay was excellent at this hotel.

It's close to the city center, the hop on hop off bus stop is a 3 minutes walk away. The room was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast for free and good just till 9 am but that's fine.

Not in the best area but OMG the bed felt like heaven free breakfast awesome service and elevator for handicap assist.

The people who work there are nice and responsive. Easy to valet or self park which is often hard in San Francisco. Perfect location being close to so much good food and shopping. The rooms have a comfortable old timey feel to them, which helped make up for the fact my couch and carpet had seen better days.

Overall, it was not an unpleasant stay. I had booked my hotel for a late arrival flight prior to a business trip taking place over the weekend. The room was clean, but had such a strong, strong smell of either air freshener or spilled perfume/cologne that I got a migraine. The bed was very comfortable and although the room was warm, it was still nice given a cooler evening. The one major issue I had was that the Wi-Fi did not work in the room at all. I called the Front Desk for assistance and they told me it works best in the lobby. When I explained that I am working and cannot relocate to the lobby, they said they didn't know what else to do. There was not an apology or an offer to help so I was very frustrated with that and at 7:00am had to depart to find Wi-Fi at another hotel. It is a central location but also near some questionable parts that I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night by. Overall, I do not feel the value met the cost and would not stay again.

We agree with two receptionist one of color and another with Hindu features.
The colored one charged me twice the bail (100 + 100) for the face. The next day I told his partner with Hindu features that he kindly returned me one of the bails at the time I told him.
After spending almost 10 days since I left I have not recovered the bail and I got the phone the receptionist of color and I have hung and nothing else you can count Milongas for more than ten minutes.
He's the most incompetent guy you can throw in your face. With people like that it doesn't matter how the hotel is because it tarnishes everything.

A good hotel in a modern/classic style. Great location to visit San Francisco on foot. Average room but clean. Breakfast without eggs or meat but with yogurt, waffles, milk and cereals. Not bad. Average price to the area competition.

Overpriced place for tiny squeezed noisy room with stained linen, poor breakfast in a rundown area with lots of homeless and junkies around. I would not recommend this place.

Very good price, very clean, small spaces.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent cleanliness. Good breakfast, pity that is very small the space for breakfast. It would be very good to use the facilities of the rest next to the hotel and communicate with the for a better assistance to all its guests. Anyway we always get table for breakfast. And another great detail is that there is no air in the room. We still had a very nice stay.

Nothing special but it has a good balance cost benefit. Good location.

The hotel itself is not bad for the money because San Francisco is a very expensive city. The hotel is all you can expect for 2 stars and breakfast is included in the price. Take care in the neighborhood because the hotel is very close to Tenderloin, an area with lot of disgusting drug addicts.

Hotel is located near the tenderloin area of SF. Pretty easy to find from the street. Room was small but comfortable. The beds were very comfy. I did not have the chance to utilize amenities. Plenty of food places in the immediate vicinity. Staff was very friendly.

Rooms were pretty small, yet very clean. Bathroom were small also (I have issues with urinating next to where I wash my face) the sink and toilet were basically on top each other. The check in concierge was nice and any other concierge was very accommodating. They say free "Continental" breakfast however toast, packaged waffles and cereal doesn't seem very Continental to me. Great location, easy access to major sites and restaurants. There is a homeless presence however they were not demanding or rude. I never felt unsafe although you must be aware of your surroundings at night.

The room is very clean and have a nice fragrance. But, it is a bit small; the king bed pretty much take up the entire room. It is quite loud at night even if the Windows are closed (I'm facing the street). No a/c but the weather is good enough with just the Windows opened and the room has a ceiling fan. The bed is very comfortable. The receptionist is helpful and quick. Overall it is pretty good.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend back in July 216 when we travel from DC. I'm overall happy with our stay here. The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are a little small but nice and clean. The service is great. They help you get around if you need to. There's even a little Pizza place next door. And pretty much everything is within walking distance, like Union Square. I highly recommend this place! I love San Francisco!

Adante hotel is a fine enough hotel to just go back to to and sleep, but if you're looking for a fancy roomy hotel room I'd go somewhere else. The rooms are very small and cramped. The shower in the bathroom doesn't hold a constant temperature, it gets hot and cold randomly. I will say that the beds are comfortable and there isn't much nose that goes on. Over all if you're not going to be spending much time at your hotel it's good to stay here but if you're looking for a fancy spacious place, keep looking.

Small rooms but very central location.

I reserve a room and when I got there the room was not Avalable. We drove from Los Angeles so we had to look for another place and they still charge a cancellation fee when it was their fault! Plus there is not parking available (unless you pay $45/day), the area is really dirty and a lot of vandalism around.

It's allrite, pretty nice, room was cool I can't complain. Oh wait, it is expensive.

Great for a one night stay. It's a cheap hotel but it's close to everything. Small rooms but we spent most of our time out and about. No A/C or air circulation made the room hot during the day, but it cooled down after dark.

Very nice hotel with very good people. I stayed here in 2010, the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable.

I came to San Francisco for 4 days with my family. I stayed at Adante and we loved it. Staff if nice and professional. We had no problems and no complaints. This hotel deserves 4 stars no less then 4. When I was looking for hotels I was skeptical about this hotel because of the reviews. This hotel is located in the heart of San Francisco. Great location. Rooms are well sized and super clean. Don't listen to bad reviews about this hotel those people are dumb. I don't have complaints but I dot have suggestions. This hotel doesn't Havel A/C. An A/C unit would make this a five star hotel. The windows are very low and dangerous for children even for adults. Maybe putting a guard rail will make it safe. Ohh one more thing make sure you know ur room doesn't include parking. Well in San Francisco that's normal. But besides all that everything was perfect. My family and I will be visiting Adante next time we come to San Francisco.

Clean room with all the essentials, but a little small. Great price for San Francisco during RSA.

The rooms are very small, old and the floors are sloping. The window is very low on the wall and does not have a screen or bars so be careful not fall out of the window. The room does not have A/C so you will have to open the window. The bed was big and mostly comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

It's extremely old building yet charming & very clean great customer service, Price is perfect and location is good. Middle of everything.

The location is good, especially relative to BART. The rooms are expensive and small, though clean. The service has always been courteous and helpful, in my experience.

The rooms, at least ours was, very small. No air conditioning but the hotel staff was nice enough to give us a fan. So I would keep that in mind if you are looking to stay here in the summer months. It was within walking distance to a lot of attractions, so that was a plus. The price was, ok. We would probably spend the extra money on a hotel with some better amenities if we ever go to San Francisco again.

Hello, this hotel is just correct! One thing insupportable … the noise during the night! You can hear all the conversation of your neighborhood! And when I say all, it is ALL!

Room was dated but ok. The hood outside was a teeming dump with crackheads greeting my car and banging on the windows for donations. Front desk guy said this is normal San Francisco. Most everyone else outside were on hard drugs and the people inside in the lobby were so stoned they were falling out of their seats. The lady at the front desk was rude, unprofessional and could not stop screaming 'calm down' after she told me it would take 30 minutes to retrieve my car from the valet, and I informed her in a low angry voice this was preposterous especially after paying 53 dollars, and I would miss my flight. I barely made my flight.

Great location, reasonable rates, good breakfast. Rooms had everything you need, beds were fine and the staff was helpful.

Decent hotel. We stayed here for the price and proximity of things to do around it. Quick walk to Union square, BART and F train. The exact location was just OK. During the day it was fine, but at night I felt it was a little creepy. They did a nice job renovating and the front desk/lobby was boutique style. Employees were friendly and helpful. They have a luggage storage which was great because we didn't want to walk around with our luggage all day before heading to the airport. The room was super tiny, but clean. The bathroom was also super tiny, but also clean. The beds were amazing! Very comfy! The one thing that bothered me was the smell. The hotel is next to Mediterranean restaurant and that's what our room smelled like. Maybe if we were on the other side or higher up, we wouldn't have had the smell.

Clean room, private bath, modern TV, and a fridge, in a decent neighborhood. Couldn't ask for more from a $100/ night room.

Way way too expensive for what it is. A building site when we stayed. Still no discounts. Breakfast in a make shift dinning are in a room. Bananas and toast! We got a newly refurbished room we were told. I'd hate to imagine what the old rooms look like. The only positive is that it's quite close to union square.

The room is very tiny. There is no desk in the room to do work. Old CRT TV, outdated carpet, no temperature control for the room, no screens on the windows, no gym, no pool. You are paying for a tiny room with a shower. I am not sure who is doing the other reviews, but they must be high. If you are looking to stay in San Francisco stay at a nicer place that costs the same and use public transportation. I stayed here because it is close to the conference center, but next time will choose a motel further away and pay the two bucks to ride the public transportation.

Very nice hotel for the price. No fridge in room or air conditioning but location is awesome. 10 minutes to the Mall, 10 minutes to Chinatown, 10 minutes to catch tour bus. Continental breakfast every morning was good also.

Do not rely on the decor of the rooms a little "kitch", the rooms are very clean, the staff friendly, and the hotel is less than five minutes from the city centre (downtown), in short an excellent value for money!

I stayed here with a group a few years ago and fell in love with it. It is small and shows its age, but I love the old charm in it. The lobby is beautiful and their continental breakfast had really good homemade muffins, fresh juice, and coffee. Their pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on, especially in a hotel.

Hotel in the decoration year 50, room clean, comfortable, reasonably spacious, free Wi-Fi and efficient. "American" breakfast (in large sandwiches served at the reception), but I like the armchairs… Neighborhood a bit shady at night = > return by car or walk by street "Market Street". Overall a hotel to recommend.
