Great 2 night stay! I see the reviews complaining about noise from the pub but we could barely hear it on Saturday night, and not at all on Sunday night on the 3rd floor. Clean new rooms with great beds and bedding big bathrooms and GREAT STAFF! Willing to help with anything! Ubered to the ball park for about $11… and the pub downstairs has trendy character and great food! Will stay there every time when we hit AT%T for Giants games!

The night front desk was super helpful and very nice. She helped us with our stay and accommodate our trip. I didn't get her name, but thanks to her, I had a pleasant trip at the hotel as well as SF. Thank you.

Staff was polite. My room was very well cleaned by housekeeping. The maintenance man asked if anything needed attention in our room. We had a package delivered to the hotel and they held it there for us. Room was cool. We requested extra pillows when we booked the room, and they were in our room when we arrived.

If staying on an upper floor the experience may be better. The staff is very friendly. However, the entirety of the 2nd floor is above a loud pub with live music. On a Monday and Tuesday (and presumably the rest of the week). The music can not only be heard quite well, but the vibrations can be felt through the floor. Additionally, there were several hours of dishes clattering and the sound of furniture dragging across the floor. This is the most unpleasant Experience I’ve had at a hotel in the US. If I could switch hotels, I would. I am here for business and am unable to sleep in this room. I would recommend avoiding this hotel. I certainly will in the future.

Stayed here in Feb 2018. Had a room on the 5th floor. Couple of things I was not happy about. First was my heater wasn't working. I kept setting the thermostat to 80 but it remained at 69-71 for my 5 days of stay. Called the front desk and they said they turned it up but I never felt the difference and it remained between 69-71. Was also raining a couple days and I asked for an umbrella and was told it ran out. I suspect they do not have the service, as it ran out all the time I asked them — they could have told me they don't offer the service. The walkways was also cold and they really neec to turn the heat up. Only saving grace of the hotel was the lady in the kitchen, who was very warm and hospitable. Location was good, but there are many hotels in the vicinity too.

I actually have not stayed here yet. I called to confirm my reservation with the hotel and was put on a 5-minute hold after asking my question. Then she returned to the phone, got my name, & then informed me that they did NOT have a shuttle from the Airport for $17 like I was told previously by one of your employees. Then after telling me this, she put me on an even longer hold. After returning to the phone she says "did you have any more questions? ". In an annoyed voice like "are we done yet with this conversation? " I may not be standing right there in front of you, but I HAVE already payed for the room and so I AM still a customer of the hotel and would like to be treated as such! I can see if I asked her a million questions and was taking up a lot of her time. So 2 thumbs down Holiday Inn Express! TWO THUMBS DOWN!

Great location! Everything was great! The sign was really small and hard to find though.

I paid for my rooms via Agoda and they charged my deposit AND my room fee when I provided my credit card, which means they changed my room TWICE! It took THREE WEEKS to get my money back. They apologized but so what? They already did it. The foreign exchange rate difference made me lose some money. This is the worst hotel EVER.

Very modern and clean. Great location. Small but very good use of space. I would stay there again.

Holiday Inn Express was close to the San Francisco Pier so we do some walking, ride the Cable Car. The hotel had good food and the room was nice. Very friendly staff. And the weather was beautiful.

Nice enough hotel and room as expected for a Holiday Inn Express. Check-in was simple. Breakfast was nice and as expected. This is a smaller hotel for a major brand. There is a bar with love music next door which could easily be heard from lower floor hallways. I could not hear it on the fourth floor and do not know if it could be heard from lower floor rooms. Only negatives encountered were numerous locations in room where dry wall was repaired but not sanded and painted making the repairs obvious.

Rooms are great with good firm mattresses and pillows. Location is central and staff is pleasant. Noise from the bar isn't bad at night and breakfast is excellent for the cost.

Love this hotel for knowing that I will get a good experience each time. Thank you to the wonderful staff and kind housekeepers who are helpful with my idiosyncrasies of the room!

Very nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Draw back was the Irish pub and the music till 2am while my daughter was trying to sleep for the Hot Chocolate 15K the next day. Also not a fan of beds 3 feet off the floor.

Hotel is at a perfect location in the heart of Union Square just a couple blocks from Macy's and all the high-end shopping. Room were nice, clean and modern everything was new and clean. I will definitely stay there again when I visit San Francisco. Oh and for those Starbucks drinkers there is a Starbucks to when you exit the hotel; there is one on the left corner and right corner. Awesome location, everything is walking distance. Oh piano bar located nexg door is so much fun a must do if there. Lastly this stay was from Dec. 28, 2017 thru Dec. 31st.

Located near City center, Bart Bus and Cable Car are very accessable. Rooms and Service are perfect.

The location was great because it was close to a lot. The rooms are on the smaller size, but ok for 2 people. Customer service was amazing.

I stayed here in July of 2017 and the front desk was kind and friendly, the rooms are clean, spacious and beautiful. The only downfall is there is not a bath tub; only a shower. I would recommend staying here because it is within walking distance of union square and many other places, also bartlett hall is directly across the street for great food and beer.

Very clean, modern rooms. Great location for shopping, and downtown. Great value. Irish pub was loud one night, and shower water pressure was a bid meh. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend.

Perfect hideaway near all the shopping. No fuss or miss just try to find it and get away in deep modern attired room. No misses at all. Ok except breakfast is to be missed but it works too. Great rugs and feet love this place.

We were visiting from Canada and stayed 4 nights. The location is excellent and near to all the shopping and restaurants. It is a bit noisy at night because of the music from the pub next door. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great too. The best of all was the staff in particular front desk manager Sagar who was very courteous and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He was full of information about the area and different restaurants. He is an asset to the hotel and we would definitely be back in the future.

Breakfast was better than expected. My window faces a strange alcove filled with windows from other buildings and pigeons, but that's not that important. Had a nice stay. Very close to Union Square and Market Street.

Newly renovated rooms. Hotel looks brand new. Great location next to Union square and a Bart Station. Good selection for the included breakfast. Wifi was free and fast.

The location is great — about a block away from a subway station. Service is good. It's basically what you'd expect from a modest hotel. Room was bigger than expected but still small. No fridge was the only downside I found. Overall, it's a great hotel for the price.

This hotel is very clean and has good breakfast. The rooms are small but that is expected in this city. Across the street is a very good brew pub with great atmosphere.

In short, this is a great hotel. The price was reasonable and the accommodations excellent. The rooms are spacious and provide plenty of amenities; internet, phone/device charging outlets, and a decent size TV. The bathroom is well laid out and easily accommodates 2 people. The water temp was in the cooler side throughout the range of the shower temp, but does get hot. The city noise was very minimal thanks to we'll sealed, double pain windows. The room temp was wonderful. You can easily control how warm/cold you want the room. Finally, the location and access to shops, restaurants, and venues is excellent. I certainly would stay here again.
