Cool, clean and great price!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful, and a quiet area. Close to local buses. Clean rooms. Lite breakfast very nice. I would probably stay here again if I come back to San Francisco.

Absolutely amazing location, great rates and friendly staff. If you are looking for a place to stay that’s walking distance from the painted ladies/ pier 39, Golden Gate Bridge and of course Lombard street. This is the place to stay, thank you so much! Loved the vibe and the quietness of the area.

Very basic motel near a few delis. It offers you breakfast.

Good area for access to the marina district and Union Street. Room was okay, quiet, elevator for easy loading. No hot water on check out day. Cold showers are a bummer.

Good place, much better than expectations. Rooms have a safe, tea maker, microwave and TV. Washrooms provide toiletries and towels. They also provide free basic breakfast with cereal, juice, croissant, bread etc. Location is spot on, a mile or so from Fisherman's wharf and 5 mins walk from Big bus pick up point.

Had a really comfortable stay here for 4 nights. Our room was huge and clean. The toiletries and coffee were nice. We had no problem to park our car either. Breakfast was super scant and basic, but the pre packed industrial pastries did just fine. It's a bit overpriced for what it is, but that's just SF for you.

Good location! Decent rooms, there was a bit of a smell upon arrival, which we aired out. Also the door to our room would regularly jostle with the wind. There was a breakfast included with out room, but it was only a bit if cereal and toast, would be nice to have some fruit at least :) overall we had a good time and we got what we payed for!

Perfectly good rooms. Cable box mounted behind the tv, so you had to get up to change the channels, which kinda sucked. Walls are a little thin but that's life. Otherwise it's nice and the bed was good. Parking spaces aren't for larger vehicles.

It's age shows here and there. The parking lot will accommodate only one space per room. If someone doesn't park well, it can be stressful. I was afraid that someone would scrape the side of our rental car in the morning. But everything worked out fine. There's a sign at the office that says you can just ring the bell at night if you need something, but someone may not show up — as was our experience one night. The large shower head didn't spray the water out with enough force, but we did have plenty of hot water. There was a draft in the vaulted ceiling of the bathroom; I suspect the skylight was actually open because you could hear the traffic louder in there as well. It was a good location for staying in San Francisco.

Room just above the dustbins, it was pretty dirty and took a while to prepare the room, making the checkin at 18:30

I stayed here for 5 days with seven friends. The place is good and clean. They provide complementary breakfast. There is a car park with special parking area designated for people with special needs. The manger was very friendly and helped us when we need one room for seven.

Old hotel in need of an upgrade. Staff not very helpful. Elevator brook while we were there. Room heater went from too hot to cool. Breakfast is coffee juice and toast. Not much! Wi-Fi comes and goes.

Newly remodeled rooms and lobby, the exterior can be deceiving for someone coming here. But don't be fooled! One of the best values in San Francisco! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location only add to the great value and budget price!

Good for group people stay in there in medium budget. Breakfast free. Parking Also free. Not bad for small budget stay there Also you can add in your room extra folding bed. Out side cold drinks vendor machine available. Public transport 2-3 min walking distance.

Good location (nearby public transport) with a large free parking! The rooms are a bit ageing but are largely enough as pied-à-terre in SF. Good price! Breakfast a little thin however.

The service was less than expected. There was only one towel, and we had to call for more, the cable wasn't working (just had to be restarted) and the second night, we weren't able to contact the front desk to let them know about the car that was parked to close to us. The parking in the area is hard to find, but if you get lucky, then you're golden. It's pretty close to some major San Francisco location, so you won't have to travel too far to get to some awesome places.

Well located, a 10min walk to the park from where you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. Room was very comfortable and had microwave, fridge, TV. Very nice and clean. Breakfast included.

A terrific location and very spacious room for 4 with fridge and microwave. Spotlessly clean and great mattresses. Breakfast of cornflakes, toast with spreads, coffee. Simple but clean and included with price. Only con, very poor lighting. Highly recommend.

Convenient location. Neat and clean rooms (not run down at all ; rooms get 2stars) and clean well maintained bathrooms. Plenty of closet space and clea, comfy beds. However, the service was inconsistent and certainly needs improvement. Breakfast not as advertised (continental breakfast non-existent). We would like to give this place more stars but the service just is not up to par.

I think the location is good and foe the price is not bad at all, they don't offer breakfast but they do have coffee, cereal milk and a few snacks. Make sure to double check in the number of people your party has and that the reservation have it estated, they try to charge me extra because they said I had an extra person in my group. The staff is really nice, all of them, just sometimes some situations come out to be not so welcome, but over all I am satisfy with the service and my stay.

Very good location, between Union Street and the waterfront, spacious and clean room with small smell of stale in the beginning. Spacious bathroom. We were able to park our RV in the parking lot. Breakfast to take away in his room. Good value for the price 80 USD ~ Night with taxes.

Mediocre hotel. Room okay but extremely noisy. Definitely rooms on the top floor take! Pretty outdated. Bad service at the reception. Definitely no recommendation for a longer stay! Good starting point for excursions. Parking lots available. Good restaurants in the area.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds for 3 nights. It was mentioned in the website they the 4 person room can accommodate 2 more extra person with additional beds. But the room was already so congested that we did not know where to put those extra beds. However, on request we managed one extra bed and slept at a very cramped situation. But in general, the service was good. The complimentary breakfast was okay, not too fancy though. A little touch of fruits would be better. The manager at the front desk was very helpful and cooperative.

Staff were confused and apathetic. Gave us an occupied room and keys that don't work. Breakfast was poor, watered down juice and slim choices. Location good is the best I can say.

Looks rough on the outside, but everything on the inside is quite amazing! Great beds and quality products in the nicely renovated bathrooms. Also so many Dish channels! Perfect location and free parking woohoo! Now if only they could finish the lobby renovation.

We chose this motel because it has a convenient location, not too expensive (for San Francisco) and it has free parking. It’s clean and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot. It’s only 30 mins walk from Fisherman’s Wharf so perfect for tourists.

Location is the only reason I gave this place 3 stars. It was clean, but very out dated. The elevator didn't work and someone from months ago said it didn't work when they visited either. The soda in the vending machine had Halloween advertisements from the previous year on them. The office was being renovated so we had to check in with a dude inside one of the hotel rooms where he gave us our key. (Weird) This is the same room where they provided fruit loops and toast as a Continental breakfast in the morning. The location to everything was perfect for our stay, the price was reasonable and we always had a place to park after returning from our day in the city. If you are traveling and are just looking for a clean bed close to everything and you won't need an elevator or need anything at all from the staff then this place could work for you.

Pros: Great location! The main reason for the 4 star review and Recently remodeled rooms. Cons: Front desk and breakfast area was in one of the rooms. Front desk I could deal with, the breakfast area was gross and was a joke. Free breakfast consisted of the cheapest packaged danishes I've ever seen, plain Cheerios and horrible coffee. Also had mold and some weird tiny flies in the shower.

I made a reservation over the phone and was given a confirmation number. I noticed that my credit card was charged a week later, long before our stay at the hotel. When I called to ask about this, they told me that they couldn't find my reservation, my confirmation number was useless, and they had no record of a charge to my name. I told them they needed to find the charge so they can reverse it, and the person I was speaking to told me I'd need to call back in 10 minutes when the manager was out of the bathroom. No offer to investigate and call me back. When I called back, he still didn't let me speak to the manager and said I would need to send a copy of my credit card statement to prove that the charge had been made. I refused, and then he immediately started being unable to hear me, repeating "Hello? Hello? " over and over. I'm will be going through the claims department of my credit card company to have this charge reversed. The customer service in this situation is among the worst I have ever encountered and I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. We got a room at the Motel Marina down the street for a cheaper price and they are very helpful.

Very good hotel, relatively close to Pier 39 neighborhood hyper quiet and safe.

Stayed for mothers day weekend. Great value great location. No bed bugs I checked. Looks ugly on the outside but the inside is comfy and modern for a motel. Walking distance tl everything and most importantly has free parking whicj is difficult to find in san fran.

A little far away from some of the major places in the city, but it's located in a great area and the rooms were great.

Personnel there have a terrible attitude, including parking in one of their two "reserved for the disabled" parking spots. TV picture doesn't fit the screen, so words and pictures are cut off, cleaning services are minimal, drink vending machine is let run empty for days on end. Used to love the place, but no more. Sorry.

After midnight there is no one attending the front desk. We stayed out ringing the "emergency" bell for more than an hour until we decided to go to another hotel.

If your going downtown all the time & need a place to stay for a few nights this place should work out well for you! The 2 different people working the desk were very nice, gave us a tooth brush when my sister lost hers & helped us print boarding passes. Rooms were cleaned well while we were out, heat in room worked great, & shower & restroom was very clean. Lobby is nothing special but you don't stay there its your room you worry about & ours was great.

I Love this place! This is my kind of motel… I'm a mid century modern fanatic and the rooms are lovely… Very "Leave it to Beaver"/"Jetsons"! It has more charm than your typical hotel chain and It's closer to all the sights and transportation… Kudos! We'll done! Room rates are much more affordable than most rates in San Francisco…

This place is really nice newly renovated excellent owner and wonderful staff. Air conditioner included.

Nice rooms, great neighborhood. Pizza and bars close by. Only complaint would be the noise. Thin walls and traffic sounds, but hey, its the city! the room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Very smoker friendly too.

Great Location, away from the traffic. Rooms have ben upgraded. New beds and showers. Been there many times and know SF quiet well. Basic, clean, and in a good hood.

Beware they have BED BUGS! We stayed there on 07/22/13-07/23/13. Got up around 5:30 to leave for San Diego. My daughters cup had falled between the bed and the wall by window. When my wife went to pick it up she saw something on the wall and it was bed bugs. Didn't see any the first night, and we stripped the beds to the mattress to check. Office was closed when we left so we were unable to complain to management. Rooms are nice on the surface, but ours had black mold growing in the shower and the toilet seat lid kept popping off. Agree with other peoples reviews, the toilets sound like a tornado going off.

Outside Pooh inside hui! Very nice space, however the road is somewhat noisy.
