The longest check-in experience in my entire life. We were 7 and each of us was asked documents, signing papers and I don’t know what but it took forever. On the top at 1:30pms the rooms were not ready for the check in yet although we indicated the arrival time while making reservation… guess there is still a room for improvement as for 5* hotel.

An amazing experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. There were beyond understanding when I had a small problem and moved swiftly to fix it. The hotel itself is very well located and having breakfast by the canal water is a must in Amsterdam. Will most definitely return on my next trip.

Beautiful hotel and everyone is super nice & helpful. Nice views of the canal from our room, too. The lobby has a great skylight — located near great coffee shops and restaurants.

A prime location with all the major attraction within walking distance. Over looking the beautiful canal while having the amazing breakfast they offer. Staff attending to your every need.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this NH. Our room was perfect and right at the water front. We could wake up, open the window and smell the crisp morning breeze. Staff was really friendly and helpful. All the amenities were there. Perfect staying.

I was in this hotel a few years ago and it was all perfect, attention, deal, very good breakfast buffet. Magnificent views of the canal. It is highly recommended even for its excellent location.

The location I really felt was perfect! All within a 15-minute walk. The staff, especially Mr. Michiel, was very friendly with a perfect morning meal, which did not reveal any wishes. Absolutely top. Our room had wonderful views of the canals. Only negative point were the old windows. So at night it was always quite noisy from the street with the cars and Jolenden people. Especially on weekends.

We just completed a one week stay at the nH hotel Doelen in Amsterdam and had a wonderful experience! From the first day, as we were welcomed by managers Marije and Natasha, on through the remainder of the week, we received exceptionally kind and courteous service at this beautiful historic hotel. Guido, at the front door, took the time to give me a short history of Amsterdam, and Gillian, at the concierge desk took the time to inform us on music, restaurants and such. The hotel’s location is magnificent! Our rooms looked directly out onto the canals, streets and bridges that make this city unique in the world. There were a great number of restaurants, museum’s and shops of every kind within an easy walk of us. I stay in many hotels being a frequent traveler and the rooms we occupied were clean, and well appointed. The bathroom was modern with a great shower, the room had a coffee and tea selection and a small fridge with drinks etc. The bed was very comfortable. The nightlife goes all night long in Amsterdam but I slept with windows open to the fall air. If it got too noisy shutting them and turning on the AC did the trick. I am a huge breakfast fan, so I was down in the restaurant room, which has a front row seat to the canal at 7 am each morning. There was a very good selection of fruits, breads, meats and fish available.

Nicely placed hotel, convient to a number of attractions. Recently remodeled, refrigerator in every room.

Lovely hotel and staff. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for helping to make it a great visit to Amsterdam.

This hotel is amazing. Right in the heart of Amsterdam center. The staff was very friendly and even gave us some tips for parking our rental at a cheaper rate down the street. The price is a little steep but if you prepay you can save quite a bit. Overall, I very much enjoyed staying here and I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Bellissimo hotel, stanze ottime anche ad un prezzo ragionevole, personale cortese, reception accogliente più servizio per chiamare taxi. It's a beautiful hotel, with really good and cheap rooms, excellent service, lovely reception plus a taxi-caller service.

Away from the central station of trains. But it is worth
Cerquisima to the Flower Market, can still buy the beautiful Tulips of wood and thousands d3 souvenir's.

They were great! Simply mentioned at check-in that we were celebrating our honeymoon and the surprised us with a small bottle of champagne and brownies with berries. Great people!

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are comfortable and clean but very small. Friendly staff but completely confusing in giving information on extra services such as the booking of the taxi service from the airport to hotel and vice versa. They told me that The round trip would have cost 85€ and the return 46 € and instead sorpresaaa! Also the return of € 85! I only know I how many emails I sent, and each time gave a different price! Really approximate!

Hairs on the bedding and toilets. Room ready with 2 hours late at 4pm. Very slow reception Service. Booked 3 Superior rooms, received 1 room with a small standard… Everything but a 5 star hotel. To advise against…

Amazing the change of this hotel (the first hotel of the city). I came in march and had just opened a week before. The change is i. Oresionante. It has become, or to reference amsterdam. With incredible views, a café spectacular, new rooms… a spectacle for the senses.

Thalasso Intercontinental exceeded our expectations, fantastic stay, the device is also great, we stayed in a 216 Villa, you can see the beautiful main island. Staff very friendly and willing to help, the restaurant is great, the Corail is worth to spend money to enjoy, very relaxing. Our trip is by the Pacific special arrangements for Gay journey, our tour guide Jennifer around to help us for us to arrange a wonderful journey, with the sharks and Ray fish snorkeling.

Our room was given away already so we got an free "upgrade". The beds were really bad and the room was very small and dirty. I don't want to know where we would have slept without the "upgrade" No recommendation!

Small and old rooms, not a good value for money.

Very bad for a 4 star. It does not deserve a hotel. In Spain, this would be a fraud because I haven't seen worse than this 4-star hotel in my life. I do not understand how the NH chain is offering hotel and they not reform it. And hire Deluxe. Amazing.

Nice. Hotel, but a little Naama. Deserves a little updating. Nevertheless very well placed in Amsterdam and he accepts small pets, what n ' is not the case for other hotels. Very nice breakfast.

Great hotel in the Amsterdam city centre. Been there twice, and it's quite cheap and cosy.

The location is GREAT for getting to just about anything in Amsterdam. Loads of canals and picturesque buildings right outside the door. Very picturesque. The room was updated, but still seemed shabby, and the bed was too soft. It was also not air conditioned, and if we opened the windows we got bug bites. However, we figured out that if we opened the windows and door at the same time, we got a very nice breeze going out. We felt perfectly safe doing this for an hour while we were awake, and the room was comfortable after that. I felt that the location of the room trumped the negatives. How long do you spend in the room, anyway? Get out and sightsee.
