I recently stayed here for a weekend and had the BEST room possible thanks to I believe her name was alisha as well! Whoever hired these ladies is beyond amazing and deserves a raise. You guys keep doing what you’re doing you do it we’ll.

Clean. Friendly staff. Just wishthe gym was open and that the jets in our jacuzzi actually worked… but a side from that we had an amazing time.

Upgraded to a king room without asking and the view of the harbour was beautiful!

A really nice hotel in the centre of it all in Ki Gaston. And privately owned to boot! We def would stay here again.

The heating unit squeals, the room is in the basement beside the parking garage and the floor in the room is painted cement. The walls in the room are dirty and scuffed up. There aren’t water bottles in the room. We requested a refund and the hotel said no.

I'm not one to write reviews but the horrific experience I've had with hotel is worth writing about. Not only were the rooms disgusting but I had close to 300 dollars worth of product taken from my room. When contacting housekeeping, they told me that any compensation could only be dealt with through the manager of the hotel — I believe his name is Dalton? Darren? Dwight? Not sure since his voicemail doesn't even identify himself and hotel staff doesn't even seem to know who he is. I have left this person upwards of 10 voicemails and have tried to speak with him directly, yet none of the staff seem to know his schedule or when he would be in the actually hotel? Don't even care about the product just would have appreciated better customer service.

Nice hotel in a great location. Clean, very nice knowledgeable staff. One of the ladies knew alot about Kingston. She directed us to where we wanted to go. Everything was great until we were charged a hidden fee at the end. We were expecting our stay to cost $230 and it ended up being over $300 a night after adding in parking and fees.

Not a fan at all. Booked a pet friendly room and disclosed we were bringing dogs, and we were given a 5th floor room. Room looks like furniture was picked up at a garage sale. TV did not work at all. Only light came from a lamp. Taps and shower leaking. Carpet badly stained. Orange and green stains on windows and ceiling. Absolutely no AC in the elevators or hallways. Most definitely will never return.

The view from the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and harbour was nice, however the hotel is in dire need of renovation. Wallpaper (yes, wallpaper) is peeling; bathroom was mediocre. No hand towels which are in almost all hotels. When asked for them they did deliver. The biggest challenge is the parking; P1 has 16 spots and P2 another 20plus (approx. ). There is no elevator from P2 so we ended up wheeling the empty luggage cart from P1 down a long ramp to P2; loaded up the cart and had to wheel it back up the ramp which happens to be in need of repair as the concrete is raised on one side so we had to lift the cart over this and almost lost total control. This had to be done because there is no elevator from P2 which is really unacceptable. We did not know nor were we advised that there is an accessible ramp on the waterside of the building which we used when leaving. Apparently there is a small sign on the door when entering the hotel. Breakfast was good. All in all, I would never stay at this location unless upgrades are done. The appeal is the waterfront only.

Desperately needs renovations! Bathrooms are dated, & ceiling looks a bit moldy in bathroom. Wallpaper is peeling in room on all the walls. Location is fantastic. Great views. Walking distance to everything. Rooms have what you need and are spacious enough, but appear dingy like a cheap motel. The cute picture of the room online is not what the room looks like in person… at least not mine. It works to get some sleep, but not a place you want to hang out or sit in lobby area.

This is a nice enough hotel. There is parking indoors or if you wish, you can park across the road in the public parking lot. You can renew parking service through the mobile app, very convenient. The staff is very accommodating and even brought up a small drink fridge in our room b/c we had perishables with us. The room was very comfortable. The beds were good, comfortable enough for me and my pregnant wife, she had no problems sleeping. What the hotel does lack is a full breakfast. It does have croissant and baked goods for breakfast along with coffee and juice so there is something to eat.

Perfect location for the Canada Day weekend. The room was modern, well kept and well equipped for a stay of a couple of days. The continental breakfast was entirely satisfactory and the coffee was excellent. There were peculiar odours in the hallway from time to time but rather than a chlorine smell as recorded on other reviews it was more of a pleasant cannabis smell to me. The pool was very clean and comfortable. A great stay for the money and I would recommend it to anyone.

Location is great. I would have enjoyed my stay much more if it wasn't for the lack of parking. The hotel charges 20/night and only have 40 spots for 95 hotel rooms. The bathroom is in dire need of an upgrade. There were too many plugs connected to an outlet which caused me some concern. The bed was too hard and the pillows too high. Breakfast was good.

Nice location. Clean. Breakfast was average. We were only there one evening and gone in the morning. Not much time to experience the amenities. But we'd return.

The location of this hotel could not be better. This area in Kingston is so beautiful! The hotel itself needs some updating, though. Very dated. Great value for the price.

Great location on the waterfront, beside Confederation Park and many great restaurants. Furniture and decor is straight out of the 80’s: I’ve stayed in hostels nicer than this place. Parking available for $15 CAD/night but spots are very tight, not suitable for a large vehicle (even pickup trucks will have a hard time). An item went missing from my room and the staff was useless in helping me identify what happened (it’s very clear what happened, since only staff had access to my room). Go somewhere else if you can afford it.

Great location about 15 to 20 minute walk from the general hospital. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi, and right by the water as well. A little loud at night cause of traffic and the bell clock but for me it was not too big a problem.

6th floor room with king sized bed and beautiful view of water. Staff were friendly and on-site parking was inexpensive. Breakfast was good if standard.

If I could give less then one star I would! It’s nasty in there! We booked 2 rooms loving the pictures we saw on line but the rooms were totally different! Mold, dirt, dust all of it! Falling off wall paper, hair in the very unclean bathroom (that looked like a mess with a tub that was falling apart and being glued back together) the rugs definitely need to be replaced and the bed were horrible I didn’t even put my bag on it in feet of bed bugs or other things. We went to the front desk and asked for a full refund and to cancel are rooms the workers where very nice and didn’t seem surprised that we wanted to go. The worst part of this all is THEY WERE GOING TO OVER CHARGE US. $700 for 1 night for me and my mother and 2 nights for my sisters and grandmother. My sister who booked the room was told it would be 150 a night a room + tax + $20 PARKING I’m not sure where they got $700 from but I’m just happy we got out of there. Dont wast your money on this place!

Nice centrally located hotel. We where there to tour RMC and Queens University quick drive to both places and the Arena is within walking distance.

Went and stayed one night and had an okay experience. The room was nice. It had a fridge, microwave and they have ice machines on some floors. The parking is $15. The elevators are weird and don't work completely properly. The worst part is the free breakfas Completely forget about going to it. It was so so bad. There wasn't much of a selection at all and everything the did have was very dry and just not good in any way. The people working in there make you feel uneasy and uncomfortable while eating. Overall, it's a place to check out but they need to improve the breakfast quality.

Clean and comfortable. I little bit older building but a beautiful location along the waterfront and for shopping/pubs. Staff was great and very friendly. Free breakfast with room was a bonus.

Great place and view for the price. Hidden gem. A little dated but it's being renovated so I look forward to going back.

Gross! I’m so glad that we only paid Hotwire rates on this room and not the $229 it states it’s worth on the door. There was visible black mold around the entire ceiling of the shower, a hole in the wall, teeth marks on one of the headboards and the mattresses were so hard that we may as well have been sleeping on a concrete slab. The hallway reeks of chlorine and stale air even up on the 5th floor. The ‘free’ continental breakfast at prime time (8:30am) was not replenished (ie no bacon and no hash browns). We waited for a couple minutes and then chose to go out. Parking fees were not divulged at the time of booking so that was a $15 ‘surprise’ at check-in. Not a pleasant stay. Would never return. Stayed at dive motels with nicer rooms, better service and for much less.

Very nice place for a few days to relax. Hotel has come a little bit in the years. Cleanliness is also left to be desired. Back entrance was constantly open and everyone had access. You don't feel particularly safe.
The car next to the pool was annoying as the diesel engine was constantly running. There are better accommodations nearby at the same price.

This hotel is kind of exactly what you would expect. They offer average service at great rates. The staff was friendly but the amenities were slim. The room smelt a little funky and my heating unit made a lot of noise… luckily I like white noise when I sleep. When I go to hotels I like to be able to use the TV as a monitor so I can stream or play games. They use Phillips commercial TV sets which don't allow input switch… which sucks!

Old rooms, minimal amenities, mediocre breakfast included (toast, hard boiled eggs, luke warm ham, stale hash browns). Rooms overall clean but one day came back to find our toilet stained with specs of red, as if someone had vomited wine. Unclear of source. Underground parking available. Waterfront location. Would recommend reserving a different hotel.

Great location and spectacular views from the room! The room was definitely dated: wall paper was physically peeling from the wall from the top corners of the sheets and the carpet seemed like it had been brought in from another room: not properly installed/it moved? Staff were professional and the free breakfast was adequate.

Would rather give — 5 stars tbh. I stayed Friday Sept 8/2017. Terribly disappointing experience. Not impressed at all. Front desk, Catie, was extremely rude and condescending. How anyone can be employed in customer service with her demeanor and poor attitude is beyond me. The mold in the bathroom was atrocious. And we had to open the door to the hallway to try and cool the room. When we informed Catie of the ac issue, she rudely asked if we had turned it on? Clearly we had. Were charged $20 for parking, not unusual, except we were directed to park in the lowest part of the garage, in a very poorly lit corner that was so tight we couldn't even open the trunk once parked. It was right next to the bike rack and actually caused us to have to block the rack. Was the only spot available. There was no elevator from this level and we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. The breakfast was cold,
Hard and dried out. Couldn't even eat it. Worst experience ever, and for nearly $200 dollars, I would expect more. Very disappointed. Would never recommend.

WORST customer service EVER… Stayed here on Friday night Sept 7, 2017. The only good thing about this hotel is the location/view. The Air conditioning did not work, when I talked to the Caitie at the front desk, she asked if I turned it on!? Obviously it was on full blast and still pushing hot air into the room. There is MOLD everywhere in the shower. The breakfast was inedible, The cleaning ladies walked around complaining all day and the front desk receptionist (Katie or Cathy? ) was not any help nor polite AT ALL.

The room needs renovating, the desk was wobbly, the tub filled up with water while taking a shower and had a bit of black mould on shower. The bed is hard to sleep on, hurt lower back. But it does have a nice view of the waterfront, it is central to downtown, and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is not very good, too dried up and not fresh.

Was not impressed, stains all over carpets, mold in grout in shower, breakfast jerry had "sausage"? Which looked like ground up cardboard along with green boiled egg yum yum. Would not recommend this hotel.

My mother and I have stayed here a couple times and last time I was just visiting the room, but it was honestly a disaster. In a room with 2 beds, there were only 2 towels. One of the beds cracked as soon as I sat on it, but it looked like it was sagging before we walked in. The sliding patio door onto the pool was a nightmare to figure out, and at first didn't even lock until we figured out they have a bar to put up in the doorway. Both lamps in the room were unplugged for no reason when we arrived too. Speaking of the pool, my mother, brother and I all had allergic reactions from something in the pool, leaving us covered head to toe in spots of painful itchy rashes, even on our scalps. My lips also swelled up to about 2x their usual size and have been like that for over 24 hours. They said they use chlorine in the pool but we didn't smell anything, so we're suspecting they actually use bromine, which is known to cause reactions. We've swam in this pool before and it's always smelled like chlorine before this. We never got to talk to a manager about the issue in the morning either.

Cheap hotel, very clean rooms. Decor was old, but whatever. Continental breakfast was a joke, but I've never seen a good one so who cares. The rooms where very large, came with a good sized fridge. Very close to all downtown attractions. If you want to save money and still be downtown, stay here.

Great customer service. They gave me an early Check in and late checkout for free. Rooms and need are ok. Nothing fancy. Bathroom super outdated. We had an awesome view of lake Ontario. Olivia at front desk was fantastic. Breakfast included was sort of good. Id stay again but hopefully at a lower rate.

Location was perfect for walking and seeing the sights downtown and close to many pubs and restaurants. Our room faces the lake which was a great view! The service was great! The rooms were clean and well kept! I would go back there again when we visit for sure. Price was good too!

We stayed here the night before our daughter's doctors appointment due to bad weather. The room was cheap, the view was amazing. My kids could see the ferry going around all day out the window and loved it. There's a great little park right beside it as well. The staff was very friendly as well. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Kingston.

As described by other guests, all of the public area nead a major clean up, specifically the elevator. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty and the comforter on the beds had many stains. On the other hand, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and professional. The view facing the lake is a ten.

A nice hotel that is showing its age. The location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at RMC. Also perfect as it is in walking distance to an enormous choice of food and drinking establishments. Our air conditioning wasn't working, the desk staff dispatched a maintenance member quickly to assess. He couldn't do the repair at the time and we were moved to another room within ten minutes. All interactions with staff were a pleasure, always met with a genuine greeting and smile.

Spectacular view on the lake, but the entire hotel is dated, dingy and a little dirty in the common spaces. Room was quiet and clean enough, but the carpet had a lot of stains and a really gross stickiness when walking barefoot on it. No fan in the bathroom and you need to be a contortionist to reach the toilet paper. No easily accessible electrical outlets for electronic devices, so you need to unplug something from scary fire-hazard looking clusters behind the fridge. Breakfast was included but extremely limited. Toast, cereal and hard boiled eggs. Staff was nice enough. Beer selection in banquet facilities is stuck in the 90s. Was here for a conference, but would never return by choice.

This hotel is a bit rundown, parking will cost you $20 per day, but some of the views are fantastic. It's also a great location right down town.

We stayed here with my daughter and son in law, It was lovely, right in the middle of town. Very nice place, very clean.

Good value and close to Kroc arena, great view from 6th floor rooms at the back of hotel. Blonde check in girl was great. Breakfast had limited options. Toast/ cereal mostly. Hot tub wasn't hot but more of a warm tub. But Still ok.

The co federation was the most garbage hotel I have ever been we had a lot of bags because we travelled from Toronto for American thanksgiving to see family and what not and someone at the hotel in the office yelled at us to take the stairs cause the elevator was beeping loudly cause it doesn't give you time to get your things out and they don't have carts and we had a lot of bags we stayed for over a week and then when we check out I caught in the corner of my eye the cashier bitch giving me a dirty look she even took her name tag off so we couldn't see her name and she went in the back and was still talking about us and continued to give us dirty looks we are now at the Marriott and happier than ever don't ever go to the confederation if you do you are going to get treated by a number of staff very poorly there are a few nice staff that I remember and they exceeded them selves in service for the customer but I still won't go back thanks for reading.

Reasonable price in the centre of Kingston, short walk to pubs and restaurants. Room was clean big and had a nice view of the lake. Continental breakfast was a bit lacking and parking is $20 overnight.

For what we had paid I definitely expected more. When myself and my friend had checked in there was a mix up and they thought we had booked a government rate room. I had the print out from the booking date and there was no such information saying that. Hotel said it was a website glitch. We still made the decision to stay. But in the future will most likely not stay there. The hotel rooms were dark and there was not a lot of light which made it difficult to see. Also the Wi-Fi did not work half the time. There was a stain on one of the bed comforters, it looked old but was still disturbing. We did not try the breakfast at the hotel.

Its the best hotel with an affordable cast u will love it like I do.

Stayed in the 6th floor Executive room with water front view. Excellent location for the price! The bed was very comfortable! Big mini fridge! The furniture was scratched up and out of date. Continental breakfast was good (coffee was watered down). Carpets need replacing and most towels had stains on them (dirty)! The heavy set man working in the mornings August 1-4 was lazy and had no idea what costumer services was, he refused to do anything and stated that the amenities on website were out of date and the website people are at fault. Evening front desk woman during August 1-4 was excellent and very helpful! She did everything the morning staff did not want to do! She made the stay a lot better! The maintenance staff were helpful.

The staff were all very nice, the rooms clean, and the mattresses/pillows all comfortable. BUT I had a huge problem with the lack of sound insulation between rooms. My neighbours could be having a normal phone conversation and I would hear everything. I stayed the night before my morning interview and was extremely frustrated, because it was unfair to tell my neighbors to "not talk".
