We were really impressed with everything It was only a stop over however we met up with friends in the evening and dined in the quarterdeck restaurant 10 out 10 food was great value Thank you.

Would not reccomend ordering ice cream Sunday does not come as advertised no waffle no cherry $12 for 3 scoops ice cream very over priced did not look very presentable : ( checked into room to find ants or What ever these are hotel staff were execellent moved me to another room but was not contacted by management for explanations or any offers for inconvenience I'm guessing this is some kind health issue.

Busy as heck, but bar did well to keep the crowds moving. Best views and vibe on a Saturday arv, you better like standing and waiting tho.

We were told food would be a half hour wait which was no worries. Over an hour later we chased it up to which we were told 7 minutes. Well 15 minutes later still nothing. We eventually got our food which was terrible. My husband and I both had chicken and both have food poisoning today. Extremely disappointed for the price and we used to love going to the QD on a Sunday arvo — well we won’t be back any time soon.

I would just like to give a massive shout out to Jake and Shaun, their customer service yesterday was nothing short of amazing for my sisters hens night in the cabana’s and they really made the whole experience just that more better! All the staff for organising all the in room decor and platters and everything! It was just perfect. Nothing to fault. All the Ville staff last night were great and our rooms were magnificent. Thanks again for a great experience.

Wasn't a guest but attended the day spa, that was great, then had Cocktails in the quarterdeck bar, that was nice and decided on dinner, the rib steaks were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Firstly I will say the rooms were very clean and tidy. As for the service we received at the quarterdeck and sportsbar was a joke, a mate wanted to put a bet on the superbowl but couldn't work the machine it swallowed his $20 waited 15 minutes for help once he pushed the call attendant button he then had to chase someone down to help. They refunded his money with a ticket, which they never told him he had to cash in at the TAB counter, they couldn't even help him and say how can I help you sir!. They charged me firstly then me mate later $9•50 for Budweiser when they were on special for $7! waiting for a beer while there is plenty of staff to accommodate the patrons is a poor reflection on there service. Oh they also ran out of Budweiser! there reply we only got 2 cartons! I personally waited 25 minutes for 2 pints of Northern? at the quarterdeck? the reason why there were alot of young people and they all wanted cocktails! they need to put in a quick service line for beer drinkers and wine and other quick service lines. Overall was very very poor service for such a venue! Rooms I would give 9 as for bar service 3. But that is how we were treated.

Just stopped in for lunch. Staff were pleasant. We were advised of 30 min wait. Ok. 45 mins later food was served. Totally overpriced, dry and tasteless.

Quarterdeck experience has been great! Rearne has been serving us all night on our “mini honeymoon” vacay. Great service and great cocktail recommendations! Really knows her drinks and flavours! Cannot recommend enough! 10/10! Thank you Rearne! 😁

The Quarterdeck service is terrible. We stayed 3 nights and every breakast is over a 45min wait, we had dinner in there one night and waited over an hour for 2 warm prawn cocktails and burnt garlic bread and when seved it we queried why we were served the burnt bread and the reply was "I was told to ", Will never be back!

Great weekend, very happy with the beautiful room with sea views. Room service is incredible so fast. Pool gorgeous and food/bar wonderful. No need to leave the resort.

The Quarterdeck is a a disappointment. Noisy, poor service and poor quality food. Sweat potato wedges were soggy and cold. A very long wait to get served for drinks. Only 2 staff serving and the place was packed with people. Food was a 45 minute wait as well. Strict covid rules yet children were allowed to run around where ever they wanted. We will definitely never be going back there.

The room was clean and spacious, best bed and pillows of all 5 hotels we stayed at while on holiday.

If there was an option to LIVE here… then I choose that option. We are SO lucky to have such an amazing venue in Townsville. Events, dinner dates, sneaky cocktails. The Ville's vibe make these things so much better. Our family favourite thing to do is to visit the Splash Bar… it makes you feel as though you are on a tropical island!

Quarterdeck is the place to be in Townsville it's got great views of Maggie Is. Great cocktails menu nice ambience a great place to Celebrate special occasion or just catching up.

I love the place, I come back to stay every April for a weekend stay away, check in Friday and don’t walk back out until Sunday. Great food, cocktails by the pool, active night life and relax in a beautiful deep bath tub while I kick back and enjoy a movie.

Worst experience with a bartender in the casino. Disgusting attitude. I did nothing wrong at all. Not impressed and will not be back.

Nice atmosphere for a special occassion. Good function rooms, restraunts and the infinity pool view is great.

After hearing much hype over Miss Songs, went there for dinner with a friend. After spending close to $160 we left feeling incredibly disappointed and underwhelmed. Service was good but food mediocre, not as described on menu and certainly overpriced. Don’t mind paying if the food is actually good and after letting them know we weren’t happy was offered an alcoholic beverage which we declined as was driving. Will not return and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Great service great food wonderful company the best morning had.

I recommend it but the tables all wobble and when I mentioned it to bar staff they told me they couldnt put rubber stoppers in because the fall out if people drag the tables. They also said people have dragged the big tables and the legs have fallen off, if this is true they must be buying the most cheapest crappest tables in the world. If they cant be bothered replacing rubber stoppers every now and then then they really dont care about the customers comfort when eating.

I wouldn’t normally stay at a casino on principle, however, this place is quite different. I went into the Casino to get membership so I could get the 10% discount. I confess that I haven’t seen many casinos so I really can’t say, other than it looked dreadful, full of sad looking desperate people… I could have seen it on a bad night, as I say, I have no experience to draw on. Now as a hotel! The first thing is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. There are staff everywhere, which really supports the “resort” name, and they are all great. The room I checked into was on the executive floor. It was beautifully fitted out. A fabulous bathroom, great bed and room facilities, they have thought of everything. Very clean too! A wonderful room with breathtaking views. The pool is out of this world. I was only in for one night and will certainly be back. The pool is a beautiful infinity pool. It has a swim up bar and plenty of lounge chairs and areas if you wish to have the feeling of privacy. The pool is at least 25 Meters. I was up early and had the pool to myself for lap swimming. There are plenty of towels as well. The meals… I am pretty sure there are 3 options. They are pretty expensive. The buffet looked amazing and probably not too over priced if you were really hungry and felt like eating heaps.

Went to the new buffet restaurant on Level 2. Although it seems there is slightly fewer options, what they did have was much better quality. The layout and decorating was much nicer as well. Overall I believe it has improved a lot.

Breakfast is not included when you book, so I paid $70 for my wife and I to go to their breakfast buffet. Given the price, you'd expect that the breakfast staples would be available, especially considering the rest of the range was limited and they charge more on weekends. I asked where the baked beans were and was told "We don't offer them as part of the buffet on weekends. " Right… So you charge close to $5 extra per person, but you offer less? Brilliant.

Great environment with a balcony looking over the water's edge. Myself and the missus enjoyed a very nice steak that was reasonably priced for the venue. Good selection of drinks. The only downfall is that the live music, even though it was really good, was far too loud.

I went last week with 3 friends. 3 of us had the QD burger, and one person has the tacos. We were all quite sick afterwards, with nausea and upset tummy, we were stuck in our bathrooms for most of the night, and still felt off the next day. When we advise the QD management we were advised it must have been from earlier in the day, it wasn’t from their food, but it’s a little coincidental that it was all of us… not happy with the response received and we were not taken seriously at all.

Went to Live on the Lawn $7 for a Can of Great Northern, when asked about the Stella at $10 a small plastic cup also $10 for a small wine.
I went to the Quarter Deck for the exacted drinks and we were drinking on the Lawn and it was cheaper and it was draft beer. My wife and I had some loaded fries with bacon & cheese at $10 each they tasted dry and no flavour we ended up throwing them away.
Other than that a good atmosphere but could do with some groups who can get the crowd dancing only King Social did at the end of the night. Remember there are a lot if local people going to this event and you could loose the support very soon if you over price events like this.

Surprised. Fulfilled. Happy. The updated decor and new vibe is fantastic. Miss Song's and particularly our waiter Ugo, provided a unique experience that was totally unexpected. Great food and respectable wine list. Will be back!

Love this hotel I stayed here over Christmas 2017 and will be returning this July 2018. The hotel was immaculate, staff were friendly and helpful. The quarterdeck bar is worth a visit even if you aren't staying at this hotel and serve awesome cocktails. The casino isn't very big. The rooms were a good size and the hotel was surprisingly affordable especially for being over the Christmas period when I went. The hotel deserves the 5 star review.

disappointed with was checkout at 10am and Quarter Deck stops serving breakfast/food at 10am. (For an hour) We had planned family breakfast before everyone left. (Didn’t have time to wait around until 11) We where told you can go into spin cafe, but we had our daughter with us, and kids aren’t allowed. I Can’t understand from a business point of view, why you would stop serving food on a Sunday, upon checkout time as this an ideal time for guests to have food before leaving.

Probably the most happening place in Townsville… Saturday night so many people… I couldn't believe both the bars and casino were full. Casino is a bit smaller but quite good. Food in the bar especially the pizzas are best items you can have there.

Looking great with a new quarter deck bar and a face lift for the rest of the place. I wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant food in the casino restaurant but the prices weren't too bad. A great experience over all.

The new Quarter Deck is FANTASTIC! I cannot wait for the renovations of the hotels pool area to be completed. Very excited to stay there even though I live in Townsville. The new pool area with cabanas is going to be perfect for North Queensland.

Had lunch at the quarter deck restaurant and it was a relaxed and casual environment. The food was great quality and sitting out on the deck looking over at magnetic island added to the enjoyment. Currently (March 2018) building g if the pool right below the restaurant took away from the atmosphere.

Beautifully and stylishly renovated. Attention to detail everywhere. Helpful and polite staff. Great in-room dining. The new pool area looks like it’ll be superb once finished. Great experience in every way.

Had a fantastic stay here. Started at the entrance being greeted by the valet who took charge of our luggage and car. Check in without a booking wasn't an issue either. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Miss Songs and Quarterdeck had divine food and service. Loved our stay will certainly stay here again. Had a look through the casino, but didn't play at all.

It was a great experience but is a bit outdated. Needs more machines. Other than that there were lovely staff and a great atmosphere.

I went to the Ville Resort for brunch at 10:30am, specifically at the quarter deck. Unfortunately breakfast closed at 10am and lunch opens at 11am. I had a flight where I had to be at the airport at 12, so I couldn't really wait for lunch. We ended up going to the spin cafe — which didn't do breakfast and started lunch at 11am. However, they had substantial looking sandwiches, wraps and salads in the glass cabinet which could be ordered at any time. We ordered for 3 which was all under $50. We were all satisfied. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't dine in at the quarter deck, but I was happy that we ended up indoors in the air conditioning at the spin cafe.

The quarterdeck has the most beautiful back drop as a new restaurant and bar for Townsville. I have been a number of times giving it hope that it has just been having teething issues since opening. Appears not. The service from bar staff is disappointing. Have asked for a number of common cocktails and it feels no training has been given to the new staff to the industry. The plate presentation is like it just got tossed onto the plate from the pan and the wait time for food and drinks is too long. Hopefully with age the place becomes better.

Went to Quarterdeck this morning for breakfast with friends. Excited to try the most talked about venue in Townsville at present. Very disappointed. Arrived and found a table outside, view is lovely. Ordered 2 coffees and waited over half an hour. Had to chase down our drinks. Ordered breakfast and second lot of drinks. Food took over 30 minutes, no problem we were advised of this. Drinks still hadnt arrived 40 minutes after ordering. When I asked the lady at the bar I was told "we are busy you know". Unfortunately that is not my problem, my drinks should not have come out after I had finished my meal. Collecting our own meals wasn't well received when the pricing is the same as other establishments in the area that provide full table service. We will not be rushing back to your establishment.

Excellent hotel — best I have stayed at in Townsville. I have stayed many times and I am always happy. Clean refurbished rooms, great views, buffet dinner excellent. Highly recommend.

Service is extremely poor at the Quaterdeck — no water brought to the table even when 2 staff were asked. Was told there was a 45 minute wait for food but no mention of drinks. After waiting 50 minutes I went to ask staff how long left on the wait and was told that drinks would be 10 mins and food 5 mins. To have ordered a juice that had to be poured over ice and as a result have to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes is extremely poor. When the food arrived it was cold and had obviously been sitting there for a while. The restaurant was no where near full capacity and most patrons were extremely annoyed and frustrated at the wait and as leaving there were at least 10 disgruntled customers who had waited over an hour for food. More staff need to be employed to cope with patrons otherwise there will continue to be a decline in patrons. I definitely will not be coming back which is a shame as there is such a great view but the kitchen and employees are no where near adequate to be running the restaurant.

Excellent venue with amazing views and great staff. Rooms are as expected. Really looking forward to the new infinity pool when it's finished. But, attended new year eve ball and was a bit disappointed. Again, great staff, though needed more and it looked great, food did too, but they did try to pack too many in so was hot, uncomfortable and needed a lot more staff, especially for the $170 a head ticket prices! Food looked amazing but no choice what you got and at that size catering of course some arrived dry. Gave us each a measly $5 gambling token, ONLY USABLE if you matched the price! Come on Australian casinos! Las Vegas knows people will spend if they get cheap or even free food and drinks. So, lame.

Look you gotta love a casino that hasn't ruined your life yet. Food is amazing, customer service is good and rooms are quite exquisite.

Decent casino with ok range of games — no craps mind. Came out $50 up though so can't complain! Dealer was really nice too.

The Ville is a perfect location for a good meal, gamble, or even to stay the night. There are several restaurants, games rooms for punters, rooms for functions, and bedrooms available for tourists etc… It's located on the coast, and offers great views of the ocean. A fantastic spot for a night out!

Meals were delicious even if the steak was a bit chewy. Great prices at the cafe. Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff.

Top place to stay easily 5 min walk cbd too easy. I even got a free upgrade from standard room to executive suite on top floor.

We went down to the casino to play the tables and hopefully win some money and we really enjoyed ourselves, the employees there are very honest and help the players and it just feels very welcoming.

What the property is under heavy renovations most of the facilities are open the only thing that annoys me access at the front of the casino is quite hard. The new card based gambling I don't enjoy that either. The food at spin good fast meal and cheap.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We've stayed at four different hotels/holiday apartments in the Townsville area. Overall, I felt this was the best. I wish it were a little closer to the Strand. But, it has been beautifully renovated with great interior design. It's light, clean, airy, and modern feeling with fantastic views. The food at Aqua is good. Certainly did not leave hungry. It's competitively priced with any steak or sea food meal in the area but an all you can eat buffet to include non alcoholic beverages! If you're looking for a clean, modern, well priced hotel in the Townsville area I would highly recommend The Ville.

A beautiful place to wine, dine, stay and play. The Ville has several restaurants and is in a prerogative location that makes for a great visit. They also cater for functions and events of all types and do a marvelous job providing food drinks and a great atmosphere.

The casino is currently under renovations, so my experience is limited. I went to the casino to try out their renovation dinner specials for $10 and I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the Lasagne which I had discovered to be the smallest portion I had seen — this was before I had realised they had put it on top of a side of chips in a bowl. So in reality it was even smaller than I first thought. I understand that they are doing great discounts to try and attract customers whilst they are undergoing construction but I sadly would not have paid $10 for this sad meal even if the place looked great. I was trying to figure out where the actual renovations are as the restaurant and gaming room are still run down and small. The entrance is covered in scaffolding so maybe they have ordered a new door and sign. (And still waiting 6 months later for delivery? ).

I went to the aqua restaurant on Saturday for a surprise dinner with my husband, it was really nice however we didn't know it was a all you can eat seafood night. As I am allergic to seafood he got upset as this was the only place he could book in. I was able to have a roast n vegetables while he had some oysters and a roast as well. It did still cost us $50 each though.

I have had occasions to stay at the Ville over the past 6 weeks, during one of my stays the guests and staff were keeping fingers crossed as Cyclone Debbie decided where she was going. The night that she was expected to cross the coast at Townsville the staff on duty remained on duty and organised a delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff were in their "civvies" and it felt we were one big family. Thankfully for Townsville Cyclone Debbie decided to head south. One staff member who stood out during this time and on other visits was AARON. He is thoughtful, polite, empathic, caring, competent and nothing is too much trouble. I must add that all the staff were great also. I was saddened that one of the Curlew chicks didn't make it. Perhaps next time they breed and a chick isn't looking too well someone can take it a vet. This should be at no cost.

Excellent value for the renovation discount price! Try for $100 roughly a night! Far superior to equally priced others, and it's on for months! Staff excellent and helpful Rooms not the smallest I've seen and pretty spotless! Food pretty good Fantastic views.

They are currently undergoing renovations, however the service is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Dinner is really good here too. We had a $10 lunch meal that I would expect to pay over $30 elsewhere. I really love the changes they are making. Can't wait to see it evolve in the future. Would most definitely recommend.

Stayed in a resort king room with sea view. The room had just be remodelled and was very nice and super clean. Amazing view and breakfast at the hotel restaurant very good too. Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are new and very good. Bed was excellent. Had great views of Magnetic Island. Attended a wedding held at the casino. The staff were professional and the event was a great success. Did not enter the actual casino.

The Ville Resort-Casino provides an amazing location overlooking the ocean and the city at the same time. Service is outstanding and the rooms are well kept and very comfortable.

Last night My 3 sisters and I stayed at the executive suit on 19 floor. I was very disappointed with the room for a executive room they are very small only 2 chairs to seat on for 4 people (there are 2 double beds in the room) there are 2 beds for 4 people you would think that there would be 4 chairs for the quest to seat on? First on the arrival I was to pay for the room at front I was given a choice to pay cash or credit card at no time I was told I can pay for my room in the morning. On arrival to are room we discovered the were only 3 cups and only 1 small carton of milk 2 towels ONLY (yes we did get more towels and cups after we rang and asked for it) In the morning when we tried ring for porter to get are bags we discovered the phone did not workk… When we got to the reception we discovered the other guest were paying for the room in the morning. At that time I was VERY insulted that I was not trusted but the other people were. Not happy…

We had lunch today at Aqua and boy, was it disappointing! When you pay $30 per head for a buffet, you expect to have more than 3 dishes availablr to choose from. Well, technically there were 4, but if I wanted a tray of chips I'd pay $2 at a fish and chips shop. The only way you could get your moneys worth would be to eat heaps of prawns — I love good prawns, but these were dry and tastless. There were a few pre-made salads, but the only nice one was the plain old garden salad (judging by the lack of people eating the other salads, they weren't much of a hit with other people either). There were a fee small cakes for dessert, which looked nice but were underwhelming. Soft drinks were provided in the cost, but several common flavours were unavailable, like Coke Zero, which you can get almost anywhere else. The positives were all unrelated to the food — the venue was modern, clean, and there was plenty of room to move around. The staff were generally friendly and attentive. However, at the end of the day, a buffet should be all about food, and honestly it was a colossal waste of money.

This place is great! I love their Aqua restaurant.

This is not a casino, its a hotel with a gaming room that could be easily challenged by any typical RSL in any major city. Drive to Cairns if you want a half decent casino to visit.

Maintenance is horrible, the toilet door nearly fell onto me.
