I've stayed here twice. Nice and friendly staff. Good atmosphere, good location and prices. Very clean and full equiped kitchen. Shuttle bus service to the bus station for free. Rooms all clean and nice with air conditioner. Suggestion: They got an old vertical piano, you could try to tune it, that would be awesome :) 5 Stars!

The bed was very clean. Common rooms are typical for hostels, not that clean but good for low budget. It's very cosy in the middle of the building and the staff is friendly. I can recommend it.

Great location and easy to find/walk to to restaurants. Very clean hostel with all the amenities you need. We stayed in a private room. Joe was very informative though seemed a tad over it. Maybe he was just tired. Thank guys, for the pleasant and easy overnight stay.

We had the privilege of having our own double room, still with the social kitchen and living spaces. A great hostel, with all the facilities you could need, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, AND a bath! :D Would definitely recommend.

Shouldn't turn light off at 10 pm in the living room many guests was still using facilities there. Should have more food shelves.

Is is a good Hostel, everything is clean, the staff is really friendly and they have a few single beds and a fridge in the dorm. The kitchen has everything you need and it's clean, the chill area looks pretty and they have a pool table. I can recommend this Hostel to you, it has much to offer even though it is cheap.

Wonderful accommodation, very welcoming staff with clean, well maintained rooms. Air conditioned rooms. Rules about noise restraints made sure it was nice and quiet at night.

The best hostel in Townsville!

As a Backpacker you're constantly in search of a cheap Hostel. By chance, I came across a civic. $ 20 per night. By far the best Hostel where I ever been. It has a huge kitchen. The best equipped kitchen I have experienced the I here. The Person of such kind. After two days, you will be directly addressed by their first name. Easy class. The rooms are very clean. I have tested a 4 bed and a double room. Both of which are excellent. The cleanliness is really good. Showers and toilet are a bit old but fully in order. I can recommend this Hostel 100%.

Nice place with clean rooms, plenty of facilities around. Good parking and close to supermarket and main street. Only draw back was limited coverage of the Wi-Fi in out room but it is free so can't complain too much.

The staff here were amazing! Been to alot of hostels where the staff just point in the general direction on where your room is and don't say where all the facilities are located, here the staff show you around — really appreciated. Not close to the gray hound bus stop but they do a shuttle bus and if not in the times the local bus basically drops you rigjt outside. Beds are really comfortable and everywhere is clean with a nice big kitchen & has an oven! Again most places don't have an oven for some reason! Loved the place!

Good Value for money You can park at the door. It Has Wi-Fi in the common area. The rooms are air-conditioned, key to the climate of Townsville. Very friendly staff. Good cooking. It Has TV, armchairs and hammocks to be. The Bathrooms are fine.

Good place for reasonable price. Tea making and cooking facilities available commonly. Much better if some chairs could be placed inside rooms.

Great hostel, there's a piano, games, televisions and DVDs. The kitchen is mega ordentlic, the next Woolworth is almost around the corner. The rooms are good, the staff nice.

Stayed there for one night, room didn't have aircon and the bed isn't the best I've seen. It's fairly close to a Maccas which is a plus.

Probably the best guest house/hostel in Townsville. Comfortable beds, super friendly staff, big kitchen with lots of utensils, and has lots of spaces to just chill and socialize with people. Definitely going back there again.

Great hostel, friendly staff. Wifi is included. The doors tend to slam if left to close. The rooms are tidy. Common areas are nice. $4 in $1 coins for washing or drying machine use. Central location and reasonably priced.

Good hostel, great stuff, big clean kitchen clean rooms. Check out tine a bit early but it the same all over Australia. Nothing to complain about.

We stayed two nights in a private double room. The room was the prettiest hostel room, we ever stayed in! Free air condition and a fridge in the room. Even small towels were provided. Unfortunately the linen were stained, but after telling the staff, they directly changed it! Kitchen was a mess… but not only the hostel is responsible for that, but also the backpackers. However, more kitchen towels are recommend! Staff was friendly, Wi-Fi good, free pick up and drop off from bus stop.

The rooms are absolutely fantastic, the bathrooms are exceptionally clean — and large — and the kitchen even has an oven. The staff are all very friendly, helpful, and amazing people. We booked a double room, which had a little table and a fridge in it. The room has a fan and an air conditioning unit, which is a phenomenal luxury for most backpackers. The only strange part is that there are only two stoves for the whole hostel, which can make dinner time feel more like party time with the amount of people in the kitchen. If every hostel were like this, I'd never want to leave.

The shower can be improved. No reserved parking for the staying guests. Bed sheets are clean but not the area around the bed. No blankets just blanket sheets, meaning it cam get cold at night. Super good Wi-Fi 100 down 40 up.

I stayed for for about 8-9day and loved it. The owner and her daughter were very helpfully along side the rest of the staff. It was always tidy, in the rooms and in the kitchen area. Highly recommended… the only thing I regret is the fact of travelling… so I had to catch a flight to melbourne after a couple of days. Hostel itself is not too big… and not too small. Good equipped kitchen… extrem comfy bed. Fridge in the kitchen and also in the room, free coffee and tea, free hand soap, nice shower, nice staff, management/owner and receptionist.
(stayed in 6bed dorm and 7bed dorm… bathroom ensuite)
