Comfortable rooms, quite in the room. Happy customer service.

The staff was very good with customers service, going out of there way to help you out for seeing some of the attractions in Cairns. Everyday the staff was friendly. Fantastic location in Cairns. Also family friendly.

We paid nearly $700 for the night in a 3 bedroom apartment. The aircon did not work in the lounge, kitchen and dining area and 2 of the bedrooms. I rang reception they knew that it didn’t work properly. He said they had people looking at it and they can’t work out how to get it off the timer. It come on at 6pm but then went out again at 11pm. Was very hot and uncomfortable all night. We checked out at 9am and it was still not working. They should not be using this apartment knowing there is a problem, especially with the price we paid.

Customer service is awesome and rooms are just great 👍 thanks.

What I can say about my experience in this hotel is that it was the best I have had so far. A hotel extremely concerned about the satisfaction of its guests, I had a problem with an outsourced travel up call because they canceled my reservation after I had already paid without telling me anything and so when I went to the hotel the managers were extremely understanding and allowed me to have one of the best nights in a wonderful hotel like this!

When you pay to stay somewhere you pay for quality, and this was quite the opposite. The place smelt of mould, dust and was horrible, my parents in another room woke up with swollen faces, blocked noses and allergies. It seemed dirty, couches were mouldy, under beds & furniture filthy. Cupboard doors falling off, doors opening right on the toilet, I think I kicked my toe 4 times on the door stop, shower leaked… elevator set up was horrible and confusing. Parking was utter ridiculous, no room and no guarantee to even get under cover parking.
Only good thing about this place was the location & the bed was comfortable. Would never stay here again. Should be SHUT DOWN due to the amount of mould and smell in aircon.

On arrival, rooms that were booked nearly a month prior were not available and nothing but an apology was offered.
Two of the apartments had a large amount of mould throughout, one to the extent that an alternate room had to be sourced.

We had fun staying here :-) just a very tricky elevator though. Hopefully they will tell customer on what to do. Took us almost a minute to workout the keycard to the elevator and room door ;-) but other than that penthouse is really good :-) love seeing the sunrise on our own room :-)

Mantra trilogy cairns is a great place to stay… it is our home away from home when visiting cairns… always clean and well appointed… staff on front desk very obliging… would recommend.

Had a wonderful time at the resort a big thank you to all the lovely staff you all was so friendly n very helpful n made u feel so welcome the room we had was the best ever n the views was spectacular thank you once again n can't wait to come back again.

VERY nice hotel to stay at cheap and close to shops and water pool is beautiful such a nice place to relax The only bad thing about this place is the CAR PARKING sit and wait for another tenet to leave b4 u can park.

Friendly helpful staff (thanks Helen), nice pool and area, central location. We had a comfy room overlooking the bay. With that said, terrible parking as there are very few spots underneath so you have to battle it out on the street. Property is tired and when we arrived our room had an overwhelming mouldy smell that, as a bad asthmatic, we wouldn’t have been able to stay in. The team got on it and used some sort of ozone cleaner to purify the air and did another clean which surprisingly made a huge difference — this tells me they have this problem often.

Extremely disappointed with the service after check out regarding our holding deposit, staff "cancled" the holding deposit 5 DAYS after we checked out. I wasn't advised when checking in we could pay cash for this, also wasn't advised they had issues with certain banks not realesing holding deposits for up to 30 days after check out (because the staff don't notify the bank to release the holding deposit) once they "cancleit" on there end they want nothing to do with it. After 4 phone calls with reception and 11 days waiting for funds to be returned I was email a copy of their cancellation receipt for the deposit and told to email it to the bank to have the funds released. ABSOLUTE JOKE! The room was dirty, walls filthy, blood was found on the side table in the bedroom and the shower door didn't close properly causing the bathroom to flood after every shower. We notified reception, they delivered 8 towels to the room and sent a maintenance man in to fix it. (couldn't be fixed as it required parts) but never sent cleaners in to collect the sopping wet towels. After a 4 night stay we had a room that stunk of wet towels and no where to put them. its a shame the experience wasnt the greatest as the location is perfect. We are certainly disappointed!

I went there on Sunday paid for the room
In advance. They then took another $200 out of my card on arrival. Not a imprint.
I went shopping next day to find my account short $200.
I rung them they told me they had released the funds on Sunday but it’s now 4 days latter and my money still has not be returned. They told me different banks take longer.
This hotel doesn’t even have a mini bar. They couldn’t even get me ice for my drinks.
I will never ever stay there again.
Now I have to chase up my money with the bank.
Disgusting service.

Great staff, perfect location. We had a room with a wonderful view.

After staying at the beautiful Mantra Amphora just north of here, this place was SO disappointing. The front desk staff were rude, the dryer didnt work, the shower was broken and the Wi-Fi is not free like their website said. This is not the place for kids, very business. The pool is not kid friendly. We tried to leave and go back to the other Mantra up in Palm Cove.

Every thing just a lovely accommodation clean and tidy.

Beautiful rooms very clean neat and tidy has everything u need 3 pools and right along the esplanade.

Charged us $33 extra to have our room cleaned, bed linen and towels replaced… once! When I asked why it’s because we didn’t stay a minimum of 8 days! Parking (Or lack there of was pathetic! Absolutely disgusted, never again!

Great place to stay good large room check in staff very friendly and helpful it would be nice if they did cheap rates for locals.

The view close to shops and restaurants the only bad thing is they need more car parking for guests.

Reception staff where amazing, room looked really clean, but smelt wet and mouldy. Even after leaving the balcony door open for 24 hours room still smelt bad. There was a stupid door stop right in the middle of the bathroom floor for you to trip on every time you went to the loo, and in the 3 days I was there my room was not cleaned or restocked once. Disappointing for Mantra whom I like to stay with across the country.

Good value for money hotel in a nice location right near the esplanade, getting anywhere is a breeze, staff are pleasant. Overall a worthwhile place to stay in Cairns.

Barely any parking available. Told to find street parking at 6pm on a Friday night in Cairns with a 4 month old baby in the car. The hotel is nice however we specifically chose this hotel for parking convenience. For the amount we have paid to stay I expect better. Very disappointed.

Clean, and in a great location. Our bed was on wheels on a wooden floor. And the shower flooded big time with every use. The pool area was nice. Oh, the fridge clicked all night — we ended up turning it off so we could sleep. Ultimately, this place was not worth the price.

Really sub optimal in every respect. Waste of money. Little ants everywhere. Mould and musty smelling rooms. Very dirty, carpets filthy — everything broken. Toaster, fridge etc Old and musty decor, Brown hard bedcovers, no blankets, old pillows (are they brown to hide something? ) … Someone vomited outside on the path to hotel. Told hotel staff on 4 occasions — only once did someone go look and then they left it there anyways for us to walk around. No Wi-Fi even though booking site said it did have it. Ridiculous cost for what it is especially ironman weekend. Friends in nearby apartments much better apartments at better prices. New apartment towers going in (3 of them in the same block) — we come up every year for the race so I will be booking at one those instead next time.

What an amazing 4 days we had in Cairns, this hotel is awesome, staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs, our room was just what we wanted overlooking the pool & glimpses of the waterfront, the room & resort exceeded our expectations, the hotel is ideally located in walking distance to all the main attractions like the casino, the Esplanade & Marina making it the ideal place to stay. Thankyou Mantra Trilogy for making our short holiday one to remember.

Starting to show it's age. Tower 3 room which we were originally booked to stay eas very clean but had a very strong musk / mold type of smell. Staff was good about moving us to tower 1.

Do not stay here. A backpackers would have been more hygienic to stay in.
Upon arrival we noticed our bed had not been changed from the last person. Pubic hairs on top of and inside our bed. The bathroom was littered with the same hairs amongst the fresh urine stains on the floor.
Had to wait for housekeeping to clean up only half the mess.
The toilet seats were broken, two bedside lamps broken as well as the soap holder broken.
Do not breathe through your nose in their tiny car park as you will vomit.
No free Wi-Fi which was only an inconvenience.
The roof was littered with cobwebs and tiny balcony was pointless to pay more for.
This was the worst room I have ever stayed in and got little aplolgies from the staff.
Mantra will never get our business again!

I came for the mould. I stayed for the cockroaches. Ideally placed in downtown Cairns, there’s no need to leave your room in order to enjoy the abundance of plant and animal life far North Queensland has to offer. Simply sit back on your bed and marvel at the green spores on the ceiling. Want to check out some Insects? No problem! Just walk to your kitchen for an up close encounter with local cockroaches. Changing rooms isn’t an option as they as fully booked. Incredible.

A fantastic location. Staff very helpful & friendly. The apartments in my opinion would be closer to a 3.5 star apartment. They are also in need of a full paint job, dust and some maintenance required in rooms. Also the lifts are a bit on the slow side. Car parking very easy and convenient.

From what I have read of reviews, whats becoming a common thread is the atrocious smell of mould throughout the buildings — I was firstly in Tower 3 — And upon exiting the lift — It was quite pungent — It only got worse as I entered my room and turned the Air conditioning on — The staff whom are ever so friendly and helpful — And I am sure sick of hearing the complaints about the smell — Did manage to get me a room in another tower, however I must admit it is still quite pungent but certainly much more bearable. Its an issue that Mantra should really look at and I am sure it cannot be good for ones health. I do wonder weather its an issue that should be reported to the appropriate authorities or is it something they are monitoring? Overall however — It really does seem it is need of renovation — I do not know how its maintaining a 4 star status.

The room smells like mould. The bathroom doesn't have 2 towel racks so as a couple we had no place to hang the other towel. The carpark is first come first served so its hit and miss. You gotta roll the dice or move your car every 3 hours to not get a ticket. The pool is nice and the staff are pleasant enough. Maybe it's just our room that's not the best.

Thank you for letting us stay at your hotel for the week. We encountered a few issues but receptionists did their best to fix them, our washing machine was broken so they sent someone up to have a look but was unfixable at the time so they had a cleaner wash and dry our clothes for us and brought them up to the room so we are thankful for that. The room smelt like wet carpet but you just get used to the smell after a couple minutes after getting back into the room. They gave us beach towels and extra amenities when we needed due to the washing machine issue. The pool was nice and we had a nice view. Also you cant get a better hotel location in Cairns. Receptionists were very friendly and I am happy that we chose to stay there.

Hotel general, equipment in general, there is a room with a kitchen, good location, sea view, the above 8 floor is worth a visit.

Good location for a stay in cairns. Facilities are good as they provides you with swimming pool and small gym. Keep in mind that it is not a serviced apartment, so you would need to ask for stuff (soap, shampoo, towels etc) if you need more. They can also provide you with a free parking. The one disappointing factor for me is the lack of free Wi-Fi.

Lovely, well appointed suites ideally situated for easy access to shops and dining options on The Esplanade. Wonderful service offering great local knowledge. I stay here every time I visit Cairns.

Good hotel for those who want to tour the region and Fraser Island.

We checked into the mantra hotel on 1 March 2018. We were checked into the disabled room on tower two.
Not only were the facilities different to what we were expecting, the floor was dirty and the room stunk of mould.
The receptionist, Georgia, was lovely and advised us we would be moved the following day after we complained.
Given we had been moved from a terrible room, we didn’t feel we should complain however the room we ended up in wasn’t much better. It was extremely …mouldy, clearly trying to cover up the smell with eucalyptus oil or something. The carpet had missing bits, toilet seat is peeling, no side lamps, shower drain didn’t work properly.
The balcony didn’t have table and chairs like most of the others and the worst part was that we didn’t have a white netted curtain to stop people from looking in but to also prevent mosquitos.
Needles to say we were attacked.
We woke up on Sunday morning to a fire alarm going off at 6amish. Before we posted this on social media, we did email the hotel to see if they wanted to respond however did not receive a response. Granted mantra isn’t a 5 star hotel we didn’t expect 5 star hotel but hygiene and health hazards are unacceptable in a hotel as reputable as mantras.

Good resort. The apartment we stopped in was great with amazing views. Pool and gym free to use. Pool is general pool no life guards but there is a free life guarded pool better suited to children a 5 min walk away, which is free to use. Good location to bars, shops and restaurants.

Stayed here three times. Thought it was just bad luck every time but not again. Bad internet, rooms only get serviced after 5 days. Rooms are damp and mildew smell. Very little parking. Only good thing is that it is on the shore front. Not recommended.

Loved the Mantra Room was fantastic staff very friendly but we are in 2018 and livving in Australia we shouldn't have to pay for the Internet. Even 3rd world countries have free internet. Apart from that lovely hotel.

The lowest is a star evaluation, if I can a star do not want to give. In addition to the hotel location is good, the other is the slot point, the room is dirty and old, no room service means that every day to clean their own room to take out the rubbish, travel and do these really very troublesome! Also known as four-star hotel, even China's two star to catch up, Wi-Fi also have to spend money, to live a week net fee spent 400 fast. And the front desk is so-so, three times a taxi, wrong two times, but the most I am angry is that middle-aged Japanese front desk, very unfriendly to me, has not helped me to deal with the matter directly but serve another Japanese guests, directly to the side of me, this year there are such customer service, really enough, It looks like the TM likes to serve the Japanese, racist! I would have gone straight to the manager's office if I hadn't been able to catch a plane.
It's rude! Everything is terrible except location. 4stars? Are you kidding me? It is even worse than 2 stars hotel in. No Room Service, no Free Wi-Fi, but this are not worst. The worst experience is:a Japanese receptionist, seems like yrs old, she are very rude! She is helping me checking out and booking taxi when a Japanese customer walked In, and she turned over to sever him Iately without any notice, just left me hanging! It is sooooooo rude and I have to doubt if she is racier.

Rooms are spectacular Service is excellent Internet/Wi-Fi was terrible/non existent… Very limited parking Would still recommend. Edit I have stayed here a second time and was very annoyed that even though internet was included in my booking they refused to give me any access without paying. Other then that would still keep my rating at 4 stars as the service is (mostly) very friendly and helpful and the rooms are still spectacular. Parking is also still a nightmare…

My room smelt dank and mildewy. The carpet felt wet underfoot so much so I wore my thongs around the room. The blanket/bed covering was really thin and not pleasant to use. Toilet was dirty upon arrival and there were gross marks on the wall in the bathroom. Pool looked amazing but didnt try it. Staff not overly friendly.

Very comfortable and complete department.

Great location for people wanting to experience all of Cairns. Short walk to cruise boats, boardwalk, aquarium, shops. Pool was refreshing even after dinner. Our room was pretty good. Try a room with a view! Only downer for 2018 is you have to pay for internet.

Beautiful views if fortune enough to face the ocaen. Prime location on the Esplanade and rooms were very modern and clean.

This is the best I have stayed in Cairns. Great location close to shops, convenience stores, cafes, restaurants and a bottle shop.

Great facility with good amenities — aside from the elevators which have a mind of their own. Free Wi-Fi and serviced rooms would take it closer to a 5 star rating.

Room tiny. Supposed to be ocean view, maybe if I stand on the balcony handrail. Also balcony was descibed as spacious. 1m x 4m with table and 2 chairs leaves no room to be spacious.

Fantastic location, in room facilities were great you can cook your own meals. Pool was good too and the staff were very helpful.

Very nice location, the right room and with a wonderful view. Just keep in mind that if you want toilet every day you will have to pay X it. You can ask for change of towels or amenities personally at the front desk.

Staff were awesome, especially the trainee in reception who should be commended on making our stay very enjoyable even though she was relatively new to the staff.

One of the smallest hotel rooms I have stayed in. No daily housekeeping, one towel rail in the bathroom big enough to hang a face washer on … we have had to hang our bath towels in the wardrobe. Broken tiles on bathroom floor. No stand for putting your suitcase on. Ironing board was broken. There is a desk in the room but there is so little room between the desk and the bed that you can't get a chair under it … partner had to work hunched over the computer on the bed. No safe. Very limited parking, often have to park on the street. Overall the worst accommodation I have stayed at in Cairns. Would not stay here again.

My mother and her husband stayed at the mantra trilogy. It was ok the room could have been better set up and it was dirty. Upon request for the room to be cleaned no one showed up. I visited them each night in the room before dinner and I could tell the hotel was a bit frugal. They wont be staying there again.

We paid for a hotel room that was not serviced. While I appreciate this led to a cheaper fare the fact that this was not made explicit in my booking details was quite annoying (had to scan through quite a bit of small print to find this out). This would lead me to expect that when rooms are cleaned, they are cleaned thoroughly. This was not the case with my room. While it was okay it wasn't great. Room required some maintenance as well. All in all, won't stay at Triology again and will be highly skeptical of other Mantra hotels.

Great location, close to restaurants, between Muddy's playground and the lagoon so good for kids. We had a 2BR apartment — lots of room, nice views. Has a (very cold) pool with a shallow kids section. Nice cot and high chair provided without extra charge. Very uncomfortable beds, and all on rollers over slippery floors. Dodgy dishwasher and dryer that didn't really work. Quite stingy with consumables like dishwashing liquid, so bring your own. A/C only seemed to have two settings — off and freezing! Insufficient undercover parking. Reasonably priced.

Great location and clean rooms. Pool looks lovely and the grounds are well cared for. We are staying for 9 days and so far no disappointments!

Our stay at the Mantra Trilogy was a good experience, we had an amazing view over the esplanade and marina. Which was an optional extra. Our room was comfortable, more than I can say about our bed. We have stayed in a lot of Mantra units around Australia, this was the most uncomfortable bed we had ever tried to sleep in, it was way too hard. Very disappointing, to wake up and not feel refreshed in this beautiful part of Australia.

Having to go in and out of two doors was also a pain felt like it would have been noisy for our neighbours next door
The car park was also a pain for trying to get a park with all the other shop owners using it
But overall thought it was a great place to stay and will be defiantly be back.

Old and tired. 2 bed apartments are bare with broken furniture. No service to speak of. Location is all it has going for it and there are plenty of better options nearby.

Great location, with good-sized rooms. Only serviced once a week though.

Rooms are average and it is criminal to pay for Wi-Fi let alone having to pay $20 for 3gb of data.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Mantra over night in a 2 bedroom apartment. The place was reasonable, beds were good but we had the following problems: We booked through central booking and were not made aware of the requirement "Company Policy" as we were told repeatedly of a $200 deposit. We were then made aware that it was on there web site and the email that I would have got after I had left to travel up to Cairns and the hotel. We are frequent travellers due to work commitments. If we had to give $200 for each of us that travels per hotel we would need several thousand dollars to be available for the hotel people. They also will not refund the deposit until 4 — 5 days later. Not acceptable No one could remember seeing a phone in the apartment No portfolio of what is where, how to run the various machines e. G. Dishwasher, what local events may be occurring and contacts for restaurants etc. How to run the T. V. And what channels were available. You have to be careful as it opens up on the pay per view, not the free to air and it would be very easy to accept what is there and then get charged for it The electrical outlet in the laundry was dodgy.

The place is correct no more. No restaurant for dinner, no room service. All the services are to be paid: Wi-Fi, room cleaning, fresh towels etc. One pays a high price for a hotel but without the service facilities.

Nice place. Good pool and location. Some of the fixtures need fixing. There's a bad card reader in the elevator tower 3. Apart from that all good.

The room, location and service was fantastic. Was a little pricey and for a big hotel, I was surprised that it didn't have its own restaurant.

My wife, Jo and I came up from Townsville for a few days and were pleasantly surprised at the ease of check in, once we got the right Mantra that is. There's another one down the block, but they smiled and pointed us in the right direction. The room was very nice, the view was great. It's central to lots of good tucker, Bars and markets. Even if it's raining most of the streets are covered. They couldn't do anything about the weather but when sunny, the pool would be great. The staff were all smiles and very helpful. I would go back again anytime and highly recommend it to our mates. Cheers to all the Mantra Staff for a great stay, Reno and Jo.

NO POOL! I booked Mantra well in advanced to my arrival, just to discover that the pool was closed. What a massive disappointment, the whole reason I booked my stay with Mantra was for the pool. If I was notified beforehand I would've booked somewhere else.

We arrived at the Mantra under the 'secret hotel' deal on Expedia, where you pay for a random 4 star hotel. The room we were given was definitely not 4 star. Firstly when we arrived the pool was completely drained and the overworked receptionist said 'oh nobody told you? '. The room itself stank of cigarettes, with a ridiculously lumpy bed and dents in the wall. It was also poorly maintained (lights were out, remote broken). We checked out after getting a refund (thanks to Expedia) and went to the Holiday Inn, which was an amazing experience.

Had a great time staying here. Want to be back.

Absolutely fantastic! Just arrived back from Mantra this afternoon. The location is perfect as it is close to the marina and the surrounding shops. The interior of the room was more than we bargained for. Had all the features and the additional accessories. We could see 75% of the beach and our room was positioned to look towards the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. I (personally) would recommend Mantra Trilogy to anyone without any hesitations. We enjoyed our stay to the max. And would return with our eyes closed. Thank you very much Mantra you have made a holiday that is unforgettable.

The location couldn't be better. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 2 nights and it was very comfortable. Included washer/dryer, bath a separate shower, full kitchen and balcony. Staff at reception very friendly, free undercover parking. The person I spoke to said I would have ocean "glimpses", but really, I could see the whole harbour as well as some of the city lights. Lovely! Would definitely return.
