It was an excellent stay at the Novotel Brisbane. The check in staff were friendly, the room was a decent size, Novotel standard as I’ve stayed at plenty of Novotel hotels, the coffee at the bar was delicious and the food at the restaurant was high quality, the pool was a decent size and the hotel was so good that I never left the hotel for 1 whole day. It was pretty affordable on the weekend, only $120 a night. Few small things I’ll point out, the breakfast selection was ok, but wasn’t great as it was $32 and the Wi-Fi was a little slow. Will stay at this hotel next time I’m in Brisbane on the weekend.

I wouldn’t recommend taking your little ones down to the buffet breakfast… my 2 year old that I couldn’t leave on her own was with me during breakfast and they charged $30 plus for her and refused to refund me… she didn’t even eat! Really unhappy and appalled by the service.

I stayed at the Novotoel in Southbank and the service was excellent. The rooms were amazing, I loved the modern look of the bathroom. I was exhausted by the end of the day so I got room service, I was very happy with the price, quick service and the food was delicious. It is about a 10 minute walk to the museum so it's in a great location. I am definitely planning on staying there again and this time I'm going to go in the pool! (Was too tired last time : () highly recommend The Novotel Southbank!

Great place nice staff n room.

Friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere as soon as you enter the hotel.
It has a terrific bar and an even better restaraunt with a very tastey menu.
The rooms are also nice, with a very pleasant feel.

Stayed here last night, had fish and chips last night in the Donkey bar! the fish tasted awful …. And was the worst fish, I've tasted for some time! (it tasted like it was cooked in very old oil) and the chips were dry! I now feel sick as a dog… would Never eat here again!

Definitely a yummy hotel, if you like the large facilities a bit aseptic without charm, very kind and helpful.

Hotel is located in a convenient distance from the city. Good for overnight stay and rooms are average comfort. The restaurant has a nice buffet breakfast.

Great hotel. Clean and friendly staff on the front desk as well as the room service. Unfortunately we did have one incidence where the appropriate set up for an accor + members were not applied, they were friendly enough to provide all the necessary set ups immediately. Nice rooms but shower had no soap/shampoo shelve. Dinner downstairs was delicious but breakfast was shocking, cold and tasteless. Dissapointed I paid for it.

The food is the best I’ve had in my life, from the chef to the staff. Sensational… I am so proud to be able to show my family what great food and exceptional service is all about.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I'd given up on great service at hotels in Australia until I stayed at the Novotel Brisbane recently. The front desk staff were amazing, happy to help in any way possible. Deloris was especially knowledgeable and kind to share local knowledge and knew the hotel inside and out. The friendly room care staff were efficient and thorough. Cleanest rooms I've seen in a long time. The hotel is set in a perfect location. Close to everything, walk to public transport if needed, food nearby open late and 5 minutes walk to queen at mall, you have to see this mall. I'd strongly recommend the Novotel Brisbane for anyone expecting great service, a fantastic experience all round. We will be back to this hotel for sure. Thank you Novotel for a great weekend.

Could do with an upgrade although reasonable cost. No walking link to airport. No call to us shuttle bus was there when staff knew we were to catch. Told we were 3 mins late and it had left without us Had to get taxi at greater cost although staff did help with that. We were late because ended up on wrong floor of hotel as someone else got off lift and we assumed was ground floor. By time lift arrived again we were apparently late and missed the shuttle bus. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Of all of the hotels I stayed at on this trip this one was by far the least impressive. Unhelpful and unfriendly employees made my experience one I would like to forget. I would not recommend this hotel to business or personal travel. Next time I will book at another hotel in the area.

Very clean, very friendly, very professional. Breakfast at "The Pantry" is amazing. Their seminar event rooms are comfortable, rooms are modern. Would gladly return.

A distance from the bustling area fortunately, there is a 24H McDonald's in the vicinity of the station, the TV can be connected to HDMI only this time to live in the room of the weird side … to 3 stars.

I really enjoyed staying here. Not far from the airport and there are a bunch of eateries around and a supermarket (walking distance). Staff are friendly and the rooms are nice and tidy/clean. The pool is nice to swim in at night and there is a sauna. The gym is small and there’s hardly any equipment.

Stayed there because it's near to Brisbane airport. Have a close by mall that closed rather early. Overall is standard novotel hotel style and setting. Nothing fancy. Tried the restaurant for the first time and it's quite good. Waitress were friendly and food was great.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Well situated in the area close to resturants and venues. Though they have a fantastic restaurant with a great selection. For breakfast I always like to walk about the area and try something new. Rooms are well laid out. Especially those on business. Easy parking as well.

I was there for a conference. The conference staff were fantastic and helped everything run smoothly. The chef is amazing and fantastic with dietry requirements. The rooms are typical Novotel rooms, clean with all the amenities.

I attended a product seminar (in relations to work). Venue had ample of parking space which is run by secure park. Everyone was clean and the food was pretty average and nothing spectacular. Staff that was looking after the event were nice and helpful.

Shuttle bus to airport available, airport is 5 minutes away. Very comfortable hotel with everything you expect from Novotel. Supermarket and DFO within a short walking distance.

Fantastic venue for meetings. Very nice hotel. Close to the airport.

Relaxing place to rest your head before you fly out early. Take advantage of the shuttle bus to the terminal. Alot cheaper than a cab.

The management staff listen. May be a small thing but I asked for a bottle of water which was not available however by the time I entered my room, yes you guessed it, a smiling face with water. Comfortable clean and the quality of food I have come to expect from a Novotel.

We used it for its function room. Comfortable, bright and great sound. The range of food provided was well above expectations.

Small airport hotel with simple facilities. Friendly staff. There's a shopping center opposite the hotel. A golf driving range is nearby too.

Great food and very friendly staff! We had the steak sandwich from the counter menu and it was one of the best steak sandwiches I have had, the bread was fresh and the steak was tender and cooked to perfection and then topped off with fresh chips. The hotel is clean and it has a relaxed feeling around the bar area.

Had a day room while in-transit. Great room, good service. Nice food at reasonable prices in the restaurant.

Very convenient location, good rooms and nice restaurant This hotel is only 5 minutes walk from Central station, and then probably only 10 more to Queen Street mall, the botanical gardens or just about anything else in the city. Beds were conformable and the room was clean and modern. Prices were very good and they appear to advertise discounts for weekend stays. The included breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had for a long time.

Friendly front desk staff, attractive and clean lobby. The location is convenient and easy to get to although a five to ten minute walk into the heart of the city. Attended a work event in one of the smaller convention spaces which was still not overcrowded amd food served was quite good.

Terrific service, very family friendly and great location. From the very start to the end, the experience was memorable. The way they accommodate families was remarkable — giving them small prize package along with a pet fish to look after during their stay. Other amenities like pool, gym and guest services were of great standard.

The room was clean and well furnished but the service was below average. When we checked in they told us our room number and that was it. They didn't give us any information about the hotel or even where the elevators were located. When we ordered food at the restaurant or room service the food we received was always missing something that had been ordered. My wife has a food intolerance and when I ordered food for her with no onions (even though the dish didn't include onions on the description) they put extra into the dish. We've ordering a coffee with breakfast it was often forgotten and usually had to be ordered 2-3 times to be served. The facilities are in good condition but the service was not.

Loved the hotel, however when I logged into the Wi-Fi, I was greeted with an abysmal speed and a measly cap of 100mb. It's 2017 and a hotel can't even provide a complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi.

It's a good airport hotel. Less than 10 minutes drive from the Brisbane terminals, it has spacious, bright rooms which are kept to a high standard. The bed is comfortable. Like many Novotels, the default is shower only — no bath.

The stay at the Novotel Hotel exceeded expectations. The rooms provided adequate space for clothing and personal objects. The room was clean when entering and daily cleaning was always perfect. The staff at the front desk were friendly and check in and out were fast and efficient. I would recommend staying at the hotel for anyone looking to stay close to Brisbane airport and the city.

Handy hotel when traveling via plane. Only stayed short periods the night before flights. Never had any issues. Would use again.

If you're hoping to get some work done during your transfer, too bad: the Wi-Fi is very slow and capped at a ridiculous 100MB, not enough to use modern web apps. Aside from that the hotel is modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. Bed is large and comfortable. Would be 5* if they fixed the internet connection.

Nice modern facility with friendly staff and excellent customer service. Rooms are generous in size and comfortable at an affordable price. Room service and the food is fantastic. Being on the BNE airport grounds makes it very convenient for overnight stays for connecting flights etc and surprisingly quiet for it close proximity to the airport. A shuttle bus to Domestic and International terminals are available which is extremely convenient.

My family and I had a great stay at Novotel Brisbane. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly. The restaurant in the foyer is a great place to have a drink or a snack. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and the pool area was a hit with the kids. Overall we had a great stay and it was a great experience. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by another night.

Clean pleasant room with good amenity and a comfortable bed. Enjoyed a casual lunch and relax in hotel bar area with our guests on first day. Staff helpful and easy going and food was enjoyable. Great to have parking on the premises. Of the building itself I like the high space and open aspect of the ground floor. In particular the bar and meals areas that open out onto the verandah. The situation suits me with Central Station close by and it is an easy walk down to the Eagle street pier. Great location for ease of getting to outer suburbs around Brisbane by car.

Hotel was really posh and food was really yummy. I used the pool and had fun. I loved the kids corner and played with my sister there. Dad says that hotel was actually better than description suggested and was pleasantly surprised. Location was fantastic and we would definitely stay again.

Great hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows… sadly the prices for snacks and meals are questionable. After a long haul trip a healthy snack is always good to look forward too. Something around 10 — 15 dollars would be helpful. Even though you may be looking for more up market guests we will recommend stay to friends.

The room was lovely and the staff friendly. However there were a couple of things which really should have been better for a Novotel hotel. 1. The room keys often stopped working after a couple of hours. They would work in the lift but not the door. This happened twice to me and three times to my husband in two days. 2. The internet kept dropping in and out. Not good when you are trying to do a business call. 3. The air conditioning was directed onto the bed. It was not possible to leave it off as otherwise the room was stuffy.

Location is very convenient and easy to access, rooms were great and odour free, mine had a great view. Internet access was surprisingly good.

The check in process was quick and efficient. Staff were responsive and friendly. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was not value for money; the staff were less than friendly and less than efficient — crockery was not replenished; hot water not available in the dispenser; fruit juice not replenished. The check out process was inefficient — only two staff present and the airline staff were given preference; I gave up my place in the queue twice as the people behind me had planes to catch and an interstate train to catch.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

Room AC requires more instruction on how to use, We couldn't tell if it was on/ working without climbing on a chair to test the air flow. Vents very dirty (we requested them be cleaned. ) several times returned to room after a day out and AC was turned off… therefore room was hot. Curtains would not fully close to block out the light… making it difficult to sleep in. Red & white spotted pattern of Curtains reminded my wife of blood splatters! Empty shower gel was not replaced on first day lounge seat only allows one person to lay/relax & watch TV. TV would be better positioned on wall at foot of bed… watching TV from bed requires a side viewing and gives a sore neck. When in bar and Lift area seating Music from lobby can also be heard … different music playing at the same time is very confusing. Bathroom needs shelving Shower is hard to use with swing door and reaching for tap/switch, would be better without a bath (limited room to climb in and out) Hope this information helps you Regards Paul.

Very nice Novotel hotel, with all the facilities one could ask for. A new-ish hotel, the rooms are modern and spacious, and very clean. On site restaurant and bar make for good options for food or catch ups with friends or colleagues, or you are just a short walk away from the city centre of Brisbane. The hotel is located well, albeit slightly away from the main Brisbane city, with the Central station just a stone’s throw away and the Roma Park just along the road, it has access to its own variety of recreational options. A good option for your stay in Brisbane, especially if you enjoy a walk around to see the city itself.

Clean, comfortable, nice lap pool. Made for those needing access to the airport, forget about walking to anything interesting from this location. Underground parking is tight, but there were staff there helping people navigate.

Very nice facilitates in the room and convenient one outside as well. The helpfulness of customer services staff made my day better. Their honesty saved my trip. Morning breakfast buffet was served with good food which worth the money. The design of the hotel gives everybody a good spirit to stay at. Very good hotel that I highly recommend.

We were impressed with the attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautifully presented and made up efficiently every day. The food and service through out the hotel was faultless. We were made to feel like family rather than guests.

I really appreciated the changes made at the Hotel since my last stay. The choices in dining were much better with the new bar venue being a standout. The staff were exceptional and very efficient and my room was spotless. The few wines I tried were great and I appreciated that I could get a standard glass or a larger helping. The food was good, although being mostly vegetarian it is difficult sometimes to be catered for. Still, there were a few different meals which suited.

We don't get away too often, so when we do it's nice if it's special. This one wasn't really what we were looking for. The staff were nice, the room was nice. The view was literally of the building next door and it's balconies. I could see the dishes in the kitchens of the apartments. The bathroom had a mould rim around the tub (gross). The staff were nice, and buffet breakfast was great. While it wasn't horrible, it didn't feel 4.5*, more like a 4. I wouldn't stay with my partner again, but prob would with the kids or a friend.

The Novotel Brisbane is a good central hotel for the Business Traveller. Good Restaurants and Food. Rooms are modern and spacious. Front Office, only 1 person on Check Out in the morning so it took 20min to check out. Also took 30min for my car to come up from Valet Parking. Overall no real issues.

From check in to check out, our room and breakfast, everything was really nice. Breakfast selection was amazing and better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Very good location, easy to get into the shopping district. We are from Melbourne and it would have been nice to have been able to have a swim however the pool wasn't heated but I guess that is a minor point.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel (have visited a fair bit over the last four years and loved it every time. I like the predictability of the place and the location is perfect for the course I am doing while in Brisbane. I find the beds and pillows comfortable and the service has been impeccable every single time.

My partner and I booked a night through Groupon which included free carparking and late checkout. The hotel room itself was reasonable — fresh, clean and quite good for a discounted rate and we had a nice night. In the morning we were woken up by a large group of cleaning staff chatting, laughing and shouting as they worked through our floor. I've never heard so much noise and activity on one floor of a hotel early on a Saturday morning — very annoying. We went out for breakf…ast then took our time getting ready to checkout. We got a phone call from reception at 11:30 asking when we were checking out. We reminded her that we had a late checkout and she abruptly said "that was subject to availability and we need your room". We told her that no-one had told us our late checkout wasn't available but that we were getting ready to leave shortly. We then rushed around to checkout as quickly as possible, feeling a bit anxious about it all. As we left the room, a whole team of AFL football club players were arriving and finding their rooms on our floor — (suddenly the early cleaning frenzy and rude call from reception all made sense. ) Lastly, it took us half an hour to get out of the carpark because our validated parking ticket wasn't working. Another trip back to reception to revalidate it also didn't work and it eventually took our desperate cries for help to the parking attendant on the other end of the intercom call to lift the boom gate and let us out.

I work in tourism for 25 years, the first 15 in hotels and I feel obligated with my feedback.
I do like staying at this property as it's a great place to base yourself if you are there for work
The reservationists who helped me with our difficult travel agents booking was absolutely brilliant… 5 stars to her.
Bar staff were lovely, but at times you are left to go find the staff to get them to the bar.
However the Duty Manager and front office were seriously lacking when it came to service. No one ever answer the phone when I'd call reception from the room. It took me 9 calls from my mobile from the room to finally get hold of someone. And 2 more calls to follow up on my original question/request. It is unacceptable for an I house guest to try 11 time to get an answer to a question about there own hotel.
I was not a guest if this hotel, I was an inconvenience.
"I don't know" is not an answer, yet this term was used many times with great ease and pride by the staff. On top of that I was lied to as I caught them out on their lies.
At the end of the day, if they had of done there job properly by assisting me, me and my 4 friends would have spent the afternoon in there bar making them more money.
Bad service = less money for the property, simple equation.

What an amazing and relaxing stay. Staff were more than helpful, from reception through to housekeeping. After a restless night on our first evening we needed a firmer pillow. Called housekeeping first thing to arrange and they went above and beyond to find us two. Consequently, had a blissful nights sleep on the second night. Great breakfasts — very friendly and helpful staff. Would def stay again.

'Airport hotel' name is somewhat deceiving as it's a taxi ride to get there (after hours, they do have a shuttle during the day). Friendly staff and clean rooms. Can feel the springs in the mattress however.

Great service and top class food. The bus in the morning to the airport direct for 5 bucks is also excellent. Will stay here again. If calling for a raxi always ask for a fixed price.

Beautiful hotel situated 10 minutes drive from Brisbane Airport. We were collected by a Novotel curtesy bus at D2 outside the Virgin Australia terminal. Huge room with a lovely big bed. Massive shower area. I loved it here.

Overall, the location for me is very good. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The barman in the social hours seemed very overworked … friendly, but busy. The breakfast room I found very ordinary. People did not seem to have the same level of attentiveness or helpfulness. When asked, they would be fine… but they had to be asked. The room was very clean, everything worked. I personally found the bathroom facilities 'aged' (I do prefer not standing in a hot tub with a sharp drain in the middle for a shower…)

The staff and rooms where great — the staff at the reception and bar where exceptional. The issue we had was the buffet breakfast was terrible and of poor quality which is disappointing as we had bar meals the night before and they where great. Very disappointed with the quality of the breakfast.

After staying in the top floor I was very disappointed. The room was incredibly small for the price we paid, not to mention the balcony had barely enough room for the 2 of us which was very uncomfortable. They had no freezer and and only 3 cups in the entire room. But to top it off the room had a massive defect, after my friend had put his phone on top of the TV cabinet only to find that it was incomplete with no top, resulting in his phone litterally falling into the wall. When we had asked for assistance we were told that they will not even retrieve the phone straight away and said we had to wait 3 days to get it back, and then to further be charged for the removal of the cabinet. Totally unfair as it was to their fault. I will not advise anyone to stay here, a complete rip off with terrible service.

Just had a memorable stay this weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. We did arrive early but were able to book in straight away. Our room was on the 4th floor very clean and comfortable. Maybe not the best view. But who cares we wanted to explore the CBD. After a very nice buffet breakfast we asked if we could leave the car abit longer after booking out. We were able too with no extra cost. Highly recommend a stay here. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Attended for a conference, it was good for a conference venue. Well located on the CBD fringe. Facilities were modern, restaurant handy for lunch, breakout rooms well sized. Did not see/use any auditorium.

Even though I arrived a couple of hours ahead of check in, staff were attentive and provided me with an early check in. Room was clean and tidy, with good level of amenities. Comfortable.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, decent facilities. Central location close to the CBD. Rooms have improved now they have been upgrading the old Philips TVs (which had reception issues) with the new Samsungs. I stay here regularly (10 + times) and will continue to do so.

Was here for business — the room was clean and had everything I needed. Room service took a bit of time and quite a few channels on TV weren't working. Otherwise, a pretty decent place to stay!

Lovely room that was well sized. Comfy bed, lovely breakfast. Pool looked amazing, sadly we didn't have time to use it. 24 supermarket over the road.

Nice clean motel. I have used it for running meetings in Brisbane and they have great facilities. Not close to the city however for meetings great as it's easy to get to for people who might be coming in from the gold coast or the sunshine coast.

Friendly customer service. Now nearly every time getting upgraded to the premier floor now for being Gold with Accor. Only complaint would be the blinds in the rooms allow far too much light in around the sides.

Conference facilities were clean and professional, and we were well fed with cakes and fruit for tea breaks and hearty roast lunches. One caveat is to be careful with the salads — salad leaves were definitely not washed thoroughly as I discovered some caterpillar silk on some of my salad leaves! No ill effects, I just didn't eat the salad anymore. Complimentary tea and coffee was nice, especially the Nespresso pod machine at reception if it's there! Otherwise try the one in the dining area.

I attended a work event. It's not first time my work event was at novotel brisbane. But last time was better coffee and food compared with this time, for morning coffee and lunch.

Very very healpful Staff are very polite and friendly and ensure you are comfortable.

It was convenient, staff were friendly, but a bit dissapointed being charged for an extra person when the bed was just the fold out couch, and we did not exceed the max of 4 people.

Room was clean. Reception and bar staff were excellent. My only complaint is that the room was a bit cramped. For 2 people in separate double beds it was quite close quarters.

Nice hotel for short stays. Convenient that it's right near the airport. The restaurant under the hotel is lovely. Try their TGIF Burgers on Friday! They are amazing.

Very good hotel with outstanding breakfast, lunch and dinner accompanied with a nice bar. Internet could've been faster for free, but if you pay for it it's great. But just out of curiosity, why don't the windows open? Lol, c'est ennuyant! : (

Room clean and presented well. Shuttle to airport is a nice convenience ($5). Was a little disappointed that milk was charged at $5 from minibar when having in room coffee. I've never seen this charged at any other hotels I've stayed in.

Terrible! Service is appalling — 1/2 hour wait for lifts another 1/2 hour wait for room service just to grab some ice. Surcharge on any food delivery. Overpriced for the room as well.

Very understaffed. Nice enough of who they had on though.

Had a premium room but it didn't live up to promises. No robes, no slippers, no coffee pods, no sparkling water, dwindling stocks. Three flat pillows. Room OK. Late check out was appreciated and staff were courteous. Not sure if I would return.

Service is exceptional, good to see staff that WILL hold a conversation, whilst still servicing other patrons. Enjoyed the stay and will be back again. (BTW, I deserve a beer for keeping the cricket on in the lobby bar ;). ) Thank you to the staff.
