Great place lovely experience.

Although the Clayton is on the edge of the city, it is only a 10/15 minute walk into the centre, spacious rooms, with a great food menu and extensive drinks menu.

Fantastic stay for our wedding anniversary, rooms clean and spacious, breakfast is very good, short walk to shops and bars,

Excellent! from meeting the ladies at the reception, especially Dag who help carry my ballgown dress to the room. Professional, polite and excellent service. The amazing bar staff, the dinning room waitress Hayley went above ad deyond her duty. Love lady. The rooms are love clean and spacious. But most of all the meals are absolutely amazing. The chef, cooked the meals to perfection. I cannot fault my stay the at the Clayton. I certainly will back!

Excellent hotel to stay in. Calm and cosy ambiance and very friendly staff. Our stay was fantastic comfortable. It’s at a brilliant lactation that one can’t miss it on entering Leeds. Close to town centre and parking on the site made life easier Excellent service and menu at breakfast time. Safety measures taken and in hand through out our stay. Brilliantly warm full English breakfast served at the table. Excellent service, clean environment posh hotel and friendly staffs.

Need to improve the bar staff,. Very slow.
Tea coffee & milk in room not equipped properly, reception staff didn't have any replacement's.
For me the hotel was a little bit isolated, would have liked to be nearer center of Leeds. But must say there is a bus stop nearby.
Drinks very expensive.

Secure Underground parking at a great daily rate. Friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms with all amenities provided. Breakfast is fantastic. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Arrived during lock down the hotels staff are doing everything they can to ensure everyone is covid safe. Room service is spot on only bad thing I have to say is my beer is a bit flat. But after a 2 hour drive I can live with it. Thanks Clayton staff.

We stayed there last night for my birthday and wedding anniversary a lovely hotel we stayed in the executive suite was really lovely the staff was really lovely it was excellent what they put in place to keep you safe we felt safe. The breakfast was beautiful we will be staying again I would recommend staying hear 100%. We got 15%of food and drink because we started in the executive suite really nice bar.

Fabulous place, hotel rooms spotless and spacious, the staff everywhere are great. The bar and restaurant is brilliant this restaurant could be a stand alone restaurant it’s that good. We have been 3 times in 2 months great value for money and we would highly recommend it. We will be back soon.

We had an overnight stay here when staying in the city for a gig.
From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic. Extremely polite, always a smile, always a hello and all very well presented. Customer service at it's very best.
The room was lovely and spacious, the bar was great, a nice atmosphere and decent prices and the breakfast was superb, what a choice!
The hotel isnt that far a walk from the centre itself or the arena, a great location and with the Granary Wharf just round the corner with fab bars and restaurants.
Will definitely be back and will definitely stay again.

Had a brilliant weekend at Clayton, staff were lovely, bar was great and I’ve met some great people while being here. Already planning what next event we can come back for! Lovely room! Lovely bar and good food. Rooms are spacious very clean, the whole hotel is lovely and smart. The staff are friendly and chatty! One of the receptionists really helped me out I wish I knew his name he was so nice when I was in a bad situation, he did everything he could to help, cheered me up and got me a drink and a muffin! Definitely reccomend and would definitely stay there again!

The hotel was lovely but at £250 for two nights I was just expecting something a lot better and not as average. They didn’t even include breakfast for that price and then parking is £12 per night on top as well! We also got told when checking in that we’d been upgraded to a better room free of charge but when got there it was exactly what we’d booked.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. However suggest that you cut ties with Amber cars as a taxi firm after their incompetence over the bookings for the Ed Sheeran gig. Hotel staff were helpful but Amber cars didn't even apologise after we travelled from Scotland to see Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran but missed Lewis Capaldi. Running 1.5hours late and not acknowledging this on a booking that had been made 3hrs previously was inexcusable. They could have notified the hotel when they knew there was a problem and the hotel could have notified the many groups who had pre booked with Amber through the hotel.

Lovely, clean room. The breakfast had so much choice and was amazing — especially the take out coffee for us to take on our journey home. We also had an evening meal in the bar. Excellent food and the desert was delicious.

My room is cleaned every day. Fresh towels and essentials! Totally enjoying this place. If you need a place to stay in Leeds, this is it!

This review is mixed: hotel is ok, although I'd prefer having toilet cleaning brush in the bathroom, why do I have to wait for the room services to do their job? As for the laundry services-Clayton's information prospect says I can drop off my laundry as late as 09am and have it same day ready. In reality, when I've arrived at 08:35 to reception, they've shipped it out already. Had to wait another day. As for the hotels bar-ordered premium vodka shot… Lady brought it warm and in a warm glass! Scandal. Also, asked to bring a few slices of lemon, so she brought two slices on a napkin. Don't your have small plates!? As for the rest — rooms seem to have relatively good sound isolation so you won't hear much from your neighbors.

The breakfast was really nice and the room was also really nice. But the persons who worked there and the service was horrible. There was a wedding at the hotel next to the diningroom. And the music was so loud we had to scream to be able to understand each other. When we said something to the manager about it. He said he was sorry but that was all he could do. He didn't even offer us an other place to sit or to move our table. We also had asked before we ate our desert for a new bottle of water and after 20 minutes we still didn't have our water. The service was bad. And the meat was dry.

Excellent stay as ever. We booked on the Dream and Dine offer which is amazing value. Room ready and able to check in even though we arrived at 11am. Efficient check in although slightly impersonal and as the young lady was a trainee and didn't have much interaction with us but she was perfectly capable so no complaints. Room spotless. Excellent facilities. We had drinks in the bar at 40% reduction from 4pm and then had the meal included in our deal with the inclusive bottle of wine. All excellent. Our nights sleep was so good that we overlaid as the curtains were so dark that we didn't even realise it was morning! met our friends for breakfast and it was superb. Everything you cold think of included, hot plentiful coffee and excellent food and presentation. Just a slight downside was that many of the tables were left uncleared for a long time. Our car parking was included and it was even extended so that we could go into the city for a while after checking out of our rooms. Cannot fault anything. We have been a few times now and already have 2 more visits booked and will continue to recommend.

Amazing and reasonably priced not far from the city centre. The Room was spacious, clean and had plenty of mirrors for me and girls to get ready in, beds were super comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble even at 4am when we ordered pizzas to our room after we'd been out in the city. (A little pricy but they were tasty so we didn't mind) I'd happily recommend this hotel to everyone I know absolutely fantastic and I would definitely revisit. Thank you xx.

Very nice hotel. Large rooms. Everything close by. Brilliant breakfast lots to choose from. The chef made a fresh runny egg for me which was perfect. Plenty of parking space. Decent size gym. Even-though it's near main junction it feels secluded which is a bonus so you don't really hear the noise outside unless you open the window. Very friendly staff always available on the front desk. Room cleaned daily top job. Nice menu for room service, the margarita pizza was top also the stir-fry noodles was amazing and you must try the Nacho's. Overall I enjoyed myself would definitely go again it's suitable for everyone.

The room was roomy and the bed large and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared if not anything special as far as the menu or presentation is concerned. Breakfast was very good by the normal standard of hotel self service breakfasts.

I stayed at The Clayton Hotel in Leeds this weekend with 2 friends from work. It is the best hotel I've stayed in by far. Extremely clean, comfy beds, peaceful nights sleep and first class breakfast down to even warm fresh bread and detox water! The location is great too. Fabulous! Will definitely stay hee a lot more in the future.

My girlfriend and I had a top notch stay here from start to finish. The room was large and comfortable and l the bathroom was clean with an excellent shower. The selection and quality of the breakfast was also excellent and we felt that the room rate was decent after taking advantage of the discount for a two night stay. On our late return each evening it was also gratifying to be met by security who were only permitting paying guests into even the public areas of the hotel. The only gripe would be paying £25 for use of the carpark from Friday night until Sunday lunchtime which seemed excessive and the rate could have been more clearly advertised in advance.

Having stayed at the Clayton Hotel a few times, we decided to take advantage of the online booking £10 discount. The room was clean, however the discount was reflected in the overall presentation of the room. The bed was sub standard not very comfortable. The room was cold the radiator wouldn't get warm at all. Overall the room and experience was 5/10 compared to 9/10 for the previous visits to this hotel. The staff were fantastic as usual on this visit. In the future I will be booking without the online discount for the more comfortable room.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Trouser presses are standard issue as is a kettle. Shower was good and the bed was top draw. I go here when I want a boozy night in Leeds, great value. Friendly staff!

Lovely hotel and extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay very pleasurable. Room was clean and well stocked with toiletries and tea/ coffee facilities. Breakfast was fantastic with so much choice. A big thank you to Georgia Murphy F&B manager, who was welcoming, attentive and a true professional.

Just returned from an overnight stay while we watched Leeds v Wolves match for my husband's 40th birthday. On arrival our room was upgraded free of charge. As we arrived early, the staff kindly stored our luggage while we explored. On checking into our room we were welcomed with a "Happy Birthday" plate of delicious treats for my husband (although I did eat half lol). We had a spacious room on the top floor, nicely decorated. Radiator was a bit noisy, like having a fish tank in the room but we just turned it off and it settled (Clayton you might want to turn that back on! ). We had dinner in the bar which was beautiful, my only criticism being too many chillies in the pasta, (burnt the mouth off me). Loved the fact that as we had pre-paid, there was no checking out process, we simply dropped our keys in a bowl and went on our way! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Four stars. Nice and clean room. Friendly staff. One night stay and it was big and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and press. Supplied toiletries and towels which were nice. Room was lovely and warm but couldn't find a temperature gauge to turn down heat. One star off due to fire alarm going off for ten seconds in the room near to midnight. Also doors not thick and you can hear everyone walking and talking as they pass your door. But would stay there again.

Quick easy friendly check in. Room was ready on arrival and on a cold March marking the room heating was a very warm welcome. Fantastic rooms even better breakfast worth every penny. Would defiantly recommend just a nice 10 minute stroll from train station.

Stayed for one night due to business. No issues with check in, staff friendly as always. Room was nice, decent size and clean. Ate at the bar … no complaints there either. Comfy bed resulting in a great nights sleep.

Really nice hotel in the centre of Leeds. Very friendly staff with large comfortable rooms — only downside fir me was parking — there is limited on street pay parking available nearby but I arrived late and stayed in hotel car park which was secure but cost £12 for the night. Really nice breakfast in the morning too. Nothing too much trouble for staff either. I would stay again even with parking charges.

Great location for M1 and to walk into city centre. Loved the Friday night deal! Food was tasty and excellent value, service efficient even though they were very busy. The deal ensured we stayed in the hotel for food and drink on our first night. Rooms very clean. Breakfast excellent too on both days. We would definitely return.

What a fantastic hotel The Clayton is, our weekend was planned around the hotel, we found the perfect one! The Clayton from our first minutes inside was fantastic, a warm welcome and with helpful friendly reception staff. They instantly helped with our car parking queries to the final addition of Breakfast on one of our rooms! Fantastic room size, unbelievably comfy beds! 5* SHOWER! with fantastic towels! Finally we were ready to hit the City of Leeds, a quick chat with receptionist and a cab was ordered! Can't thank you enough for a fantastic weekend in Leeds! Tom.

I stayed here for three nights. Clayton Leeds is a great hotel close to the train station and the town. The room was super comfortable (the mattress was amazing) and the staff extremely friendly. The breakfast had good sweet and salty options, as well as fruits, juice and good coffee. There is also a bar at the hotel which was quite crowded — I did not visit it but I assume it has a good selection of drinks. Would definitely return if I visit Leeds again, experience worth five stars.

A hotel for me 4 stars. Clean rooms, comfy beds, full service and a good English breakfast buffet. I recommend that you order the rooms with the breakfast, as with how expensive everything is in the country, you can go already well breakfasted.

Very clean, very nice staff. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the city centre (train station, shopping centre, pub, Restaurant).

Hotel for business people rather. Bar having success on Friday night thanks to a happy day. Even for a family, it's nice and the prices are reasonable.

Well located for the city centre, with nice reception, bar and restaurant areas. We booked a superior room (752) on the 7th floor. First impressions were that it is a good sized room and well appointed for the money. When running a bath the shower head leaked over the bath, not a big issue but a bit annoying, however the bathroom did have a stale, damp smell, this may be due to the leaking shower and the fact that the extractor fan did not work. We didn't mention this as we were only staying for two nights, however the cleaning staff should have noticed this and reported it. I was surprised that the shampoo and shower gel were not replaced for our second day, I appriciate that this may be cost cutting, but it is not what I would expect from a hotel like this. The meals in the bar were fine on both nights and the breakfasts were very good. My biggest disappointment was when I checked the bill on leaving the hotel, I noticed that I had been charged for breakfasts on our second day dispite the fact the we had booked and paid for bed and breakfast directly with the hotel, there was also no discount given for booking direct. The girl on reception didn't know what to do about this so we had to wait for her manager to sort the issue out. Overcharging like this should not happen, especially when the booking has been made directly with the hotel.

Second time stayn at the Clayton hotel, and the experience was dissapointing. Firstly the fire alarm went off and when I rang reception to see what was going on, the receptionist was very rude and told me 'its just a test' then sharply hand up on me before I could even speak! And secondly our hotel door wouldn't lock, which then reception sent a cleaner to come and resolve the situation, the cleaner gave us no time of day and gave us a new card for the door then quickly went. We then had to re ring reception for the third time of the night, who then sent another staff member up that couldn't resolve the situation, then the security guard came up who managed to fix the door and he was the only one who was nice and gave good costumer service. Also when we went to check out on the monday the receptionist at the desk didn't even ask us how our stay was, and told us to just leave the cards on the desk. Overall very dissapointed as we all spent a lot of money staying at Clayton hotel!

While I thought the room was fantastic. I was thoroughly disappointed with the room service. I ordered a pot of tea and an iceream sunday. I took a photo of it as it was such a disappointment. The tray arrived with a small pot of water, a large jug of milk (as much as there was water) a single tea bag, a plate of condiments (ketchup, mayo, vinegar) and a soup bowl with icecream in it. There was clearly no thought at all gone into the tray. You don't need condiments for icecream. Usually you will get a pot of water enough for a couple of cups of tea — but I could have had a cup of tea and a cup of milk. Just really disappointing.

Nice and spacious room, double bed and a single included. All usual goods ie. Hairdryers and iron installed. Courteous and organised service. Hotel bar opened till 1 at night which is good alternative for early closing restaurants and pubs.

After speaking to the hotel about a late arrival, I arrived during the night to a quick and effortless check in Had a great sleep and a fast and simple check out All staff where friendly and the for the price of my stay its was an absolute bargain If I stay again In leeds I'd happily look into staying back again in this hotel.

The lobby ect was nice and the staff when approached were helpful. It had a really good choice at breakfast with some options you dont see all the time which was really nice and the food was good. They do pizzas through the night which were also pretty good. The room had rubbish in it and I dont mean bins not emptied, empty bottles and stuff on the bedside tables. There was also some stains on the walls and a big hole that had been filled and not well. The stains on there wall did come off so were just not cleaned well or notice. No excuse for rubbish though.

My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and I got a good nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning offered a wide range of options to suit any appetite. I. Would stay here again when visiting my Leeds office.

Lovely food, nice bar. My room was on the 4th floor, and there is building work going on on 5, so I could hear this in the morning although it didn't wake me up. Good hotel.

Good hotel. Nice rooms and good value. Slight walk into city centre but only 5 minutes. However plenty of bars around and amenities like tesco within 2 minutes. Good access to motorway to leeds and wider.

Booked a double room, but had two single beds pushed together. Cut my lip on a chipped glass in the room and then my finger on a chipped cup at breakfast. The tea and coffee making facility's was abismal as was the bed. The walls to the room are also like paper and I was woken up at least ten times by drunk people shouting and ranting in the hallways and also by people not knowing their room number trying to use their key on my room. Also had to pay £11 parking per night staying at the hotel when I feel that as a guest you should receive free parking when you're paying so much for a rather minimal and awful nights sleep. Would not stay again.

Rooms clean but old grubby furniture and decor make it feel dirty and unwelcoming (photos to prove it) Staff friendly but need training at product knowledge and customer care as it is embarrassing when a waitress in a 4 star hotel's restaurant asks the customer if the penne pasta the customer ordered (as listed on the menu) is a drink. Wobbly tables, microwaved pasta and dirty utensil and pepper mill — low quality feel combined with 4 star prices does not offer good value for money. Does not fill you with confidence Reception more interested in speaking to friends then us timers and room service got a simple order wrong Not sure I eould want to go back or that I would feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone.

Stayed here several times… a little bit of a walk to the center of leeds… but cant fault the staff. It also has ample secure parking. I wish they had a loyalty card as I am going to be here a lot!

Great hotel short walk from the train station. Restaurant was lovely and breakfast was particularly good. Comfortable beds and spotlessly clean everywhere. Really enjoyed it.

Had a girlie weekend and stayed at Bewley's Leeds. The staff were exceptional! Very welcoming and so polite. The breakfast was 5* and the hotel very clean. Will defo be re booking.

This is a nice hotel. Good for business and leisure. Stayed after night out in Leeds. Short walk from train station and the 12pm checkout time is a bonus.
