Great place would recommend.

We had a lovely break away in Leeds. The staff were helpful, friendly and fast acting. Unfortunately the rooms aren't double glazed and therefore even from the top floor of the hotel it was a little noisy at times from the bars and clubs nearby. The food and drink we had at the hotel was great — particularly the raisin pastries! Thanks to all. We'd definitely consider staying there again.

I’ve stayed in the malmaison in Leeds a few times this month. Such a great central hotel with the nicest of staff. And great cocktails too at the bar in the hotel. Always made to feel really welcome. Highly recommend this hotel.

The food in the Brasserie was excellent and the service was great too. We had a double deluxe room which was fab. All staff helpful and friendly.

In the centre of Leeds, ideal location for many things.
No car parking facilities, two min walk to multi storey, you do get a 50% reduction on parking though.
Rooms are very nice, staff are polite. Haven't used he var or restaurant yet.

Nice place to stay for the night. It was cheap and the bed was extremely comfortable. They also offer a voucher for parking which took 30% off our parking ticket price. The hotel is located near lots of shopping centres too which is good — for women. Reception staff were also very friendly. Missing a star for: — Bad view (of an outdoor staircase) — — > it would've been better without the window. — Requests ignored. — — > Could have been informed that the requests could not be met. Other than that, great hotel to stay at.

Stayed here last night with my partner for our 1st anniversary, lovely hotel, within walking distance to everything. Room was beautiful, very spacious and clean, bar area was nice, good atmosphere. Breakfast was good with lots of choice, very friendly and helpful staff, will definitely be returning.

Visited here for a friend's birthday and had afternoon tea. Nice environment but waited a long time for food. Some of the food was nice, the scones and burger for example but a lot of the desserts were very sweet and sickly. And unfortunately not worth the £19.95 each. Very expensive compared to other places I have visited.

Very good location with a good quality bar that's open till late. Good value for money and nice check in lady. However there was a giant spider in my bathtub so hadn't been cleaned properly, hence why I can't give a 5 stars.

Location perfect and hotel is very comfortable, clean, rooms have a luxurious feel. Service is always very good. I do have a negative that they can't bring themselves to provide a free bottle of water in the room, it's £2 from the mini bar — small things matter!

Can’t fault the service from reception to housekeeping and in the bar/bistro. We are regular guests at Mal and HdV but Leeds Mal stands out. I’ve also never seen a more dog friendly hotel chain (for responsible dog owners that is). Highly recommended.

Went for afternoon tea with my boyfriend. The food itself was decent. We were given fruit scones, and I wanted to request plain instead at the same time as asking for a coffee. As we were sat in the bar, no wait staff came round to check on us. After 40 minutes my boyfriend ordered a coffee at the bar, and I ended up picking the fruit out of the scone because I was bored of waiting. We waited a while again to ask for the bill, and ended up requesting it from the bar. When the bill came the price was wrong. All the staff are pleasant enough, but for the price you pay you expect much better service. I found it disappointing and am not planning on returning/recommending.

Somewhat naughty with cheeky elements throughout the hotel. Fun and nice and more than luxurious enough. The showers are a standout excellent feature, and the bedding is as good as it gets. The bar area has had a re-do, and the new decor is a little less 'bordello' than previous. Screaming druggies in the back alley was a downside.

Spent an afternoon here celebrating my friends baby shower. It was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely decor and design.

Ive dined here a few times and always had a lovely time. We came in for afternoon tea which was delicious! Service and food were brilliant.

Lovely hotel, my wife enjoyed the mini chocolates. Bed comfy. Room service quick and a very good burger. Slow response from reception when calling to change pillows — took us 6 attempts to get through. Very efficient when finally did though. Will stay again.

Rooms were nice and clean with usb ports by the bed which was handy. Good location as well with riverside and shops very close by. Breakfast was decent with a limited continental buffet but good options on the menu for hot food.

The bedroom was very tired especially the bathroom. Desperately needs updating. Extremely overpriced, we've stayed in nicer hotels in Leeds for less money and don't get me started on the price of the drinks … £12 for one large glass of wine We won't be returning.

Went for mothers day. Very nice staff. Food lovely. Didn't realise it was a buffet on Sundays but would go again. Was not rushed and felt looked after.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, good amenities and decent internet connectivity. Perfect if you're travelling for business. Bathrooms are nice, the showers could do with a bit of a revamp but the baths are nice if you have one.

Standard Mal comforts in a great city centre location and round the corner from a multi storey car park for which they offer a big discount.

Comfortable rooms at a sensible price point. Fantastic location near the train station. Place has a little more panache than I expected. Recommended if you're spending a few days in Leeds.

Doesn't feel like corporate type of hotel, feels cosy and room was so comfortable. Staff are are lovely.

Service 5* and the 3 course meal was superb. Rhubarb cocktail to compliment the meal absolute must try! Thanks again Malmaison!

Emily our National Sales contact was fabulous, we loved the hotel. The only unfortunate thing was that the bar was closed by midnight but it encouraged us to go to bed a little earlier! If anything, the hotel was too nice, but I suppose we have to make do.

The food was delicious, and the Sunday 3 course menu is great value for money. We took full advantage of the bottomless prosecco and the service didn't let us down. All in all, an excellent venue for a celebratory meal.

Had a works do here. Late in sitting us down and they put us on 2 tables… which we ended up pushing together. I had veggie option which was lovely and the veggies with it was lush. Dessert was good too. Seemed a few issues with customer service and some people said thier meat was dry. But lovely place and nice bar.

Really great rooms and service from hotel and restaurant. Check out the deals as they are often better than just the room rate.

Parking is expensive as the hotel don't have their own parking. Room service was good. Our window sill was flooded by morning so bit of a ventilation issue. But overall we had a good stay.

We had a good deal on room price so got what we paid for. Bed comfortable and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was very disappointing, for the price of the continental expected a much better selection!

Really friendly, helpful staff made for a very positive experience (brief though my stay was). Rooms are smart and comfortable (and there are USB charging sockets by the bedside tables — why isn't this a thing at all hotels? ).

Gorgeous hotel, friendly and courteous staff. Tasteful and modern decor, Both around the hotel and in the room. Great location to everything in Leeds. This is the third Mal I've been to and probably my favourite so far. Took advantage of the amazing Sunday offer where if you spend £75 in their restaurant you can stay overnight for only £25. The only negative I have is that the bed was slightly over firm for my liking. Not to the point of being uncomfortable (it was a huge bed with top quality bedding as you'd expect), and everyone has different tastes, but I love a bit more of a sinking bed. Still easily recommended.

We stayed here in July 2015 and enjoyed our room and the service overall. I recommend the Sunday buffet roast beef choice with Yorkshire pudding! The biggest drawback was that the hotel is very near a nightclub/bar area and it's crazy noisy well into the wee hours. The widows are brutal at soundproofing (I actually checked them a few times because I thought they must be open it was so loud). We were on the second floor so maybe it would be better higher up.

Good quality drinks especially cocktails, the bar is a bit cramped and a bit dowdy also its very expensive for no obvious reason.

I've stayed here numerous times when visiting friends in Leeds over the past couple of years. I always find Malmaison very comfortable, the location is good in terms of if you're on a night out — there isn't far to walk until you're in bed! Always handy. The Sunday lunch in Malmaison is awesome — they have a chefs table with a wide selection of antipasti and the gentleman talking us through the options seemed very knowledgeable.

Wow, I've read through some of the other reviews and I have to say that my stay was very good. I arrived at 14:00 and my room wasn't ready for check in, so I was upgraded without any hassle whatsoever. The room was clean, pleasant and comfortable and I have no complaints about the staff at all; they were friendly and polite. I would say that the barman was a bit slow when I rolled in for a drink later in the evening, but that's a minor issue and probably a one off. Good stay.

This is an awful hotel with terrible service and very very rude staff. Do not stay here.

Good appearance and clean. But several big misses that make this my only stay here. Wifi is very limited and not enough bandwidth. Got burnt omelet with egg shells in it 2 days in a row with very slow service (took 45 minutes). And housekeeping walked into my room un-announced at 8am.
