Decided to try the takeaway menu this evening and we were not disappointed! The Cajun baguette was delicious and my mum enjoyed her fave chicken and bacon baguette! Ordering and Collection both very easy. Would recommend to everyone! Won't be long before we order again! Thank you!

Just had a lovely lunch delivered for the three of us to celebrate Mother’s Day! Would definitely recommend for anyone thinking of ordering! Gorgeous food, friendly service and nice and quick! I’m sure we will be ordering again during these challenging times.

Friendly helpful staff. Great service. Food arrived quickly, was top quality and very reasonably priced. Having just got back from France it was the best meal we’d had in a week! Can’t beat quality British pub food.

Went for our meal tonight as promised by John it was lovely lovely girl behind bar very friendly waiter would defo recommend it.

A good classic pub. A bit too much sports for my liking but others will probably think differently about that! While I didn't like having to ask for the vegggie menu, the food was great, definitely beyond average pub food.

If I could give this no stars I would. I have never walked into a place and felt uncomfortable straight away. I thought I walked into Royston village pub, (this is for local people only. ) Got lots of stares and felt very uneasy n uncomfortable. If we was untidy, unclean then I could understand, but we was not. Just dressed comfortably like others that was in place. We went here to try but never never again. Didn't even get as far as getting a chair or table. Had to walk straight back out. In your response that have just received and unable to reply back to you. Yes I have got the right place. I know where we went so adding to insult now on your response. You are saying I don't where I visited & got the wrong place. This has made me more furious now. I know where you are & know when I visited. To claim I have the wrong place is ridiculous and wrong. There were no compassion or concern in your response just insult. Disgusting.

Our 3 night stay was a perfect getaway. The place has a wonderful atmosphere, just like pubs from way back! Breakfast was freshly cooked as were our evening meals. We were made most welcome by John, the landlord and Wayne, his assistant. My son and daughter in law met us there last night and they have it on their 'must visit' list! Looking forward to our next stay.

Had a 2 night stay here. Very reasonably priced. Room was lovely. Had everything I needed. Food was great & staff were lovely & very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team for supporting Jolly Giraffes Day Nursery’s upcoming summer fair again this year by donating a very generous raffle prize. We know the lucky winner will enjoy a fabulous meal out at this lovely village pub. An added bonus was that whilst collecting the prize I realised that the pub now does Tapas too — so will be back again soon to give it a try, as it all looked and smelt delicious. Excellent beer, friendly and fast service with a smile. Clean and smarty inside. Didn't stop for food, so cannot comment.

Stayed here when getting ready to go into hospital for surgery nearby. The room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower, towels, coffee and tea and a TV. It also has Wi-Fi access in the rooms. Also had several meals during this stay and everything was delicious and good value. Great fish and chips with crispy batter. Staff are welcoming and friendly. It's a popular little pub and gets fairly busy at times so keep this in mind. My one criticism is that their is limited parking.

Its not a massive venue, just a Real Pub that does tasty food and good ale.

Had a Sunday dinner here, gorgeous food and portions were incredibly generous! Loved it.

Clean, good food and a busy bar. Only 4 rooms but they are tidy and well maintained.

Excellent menu and service superb. Good selection of beer.

Attend the Saturday night quiz. Great atmosphere, bar well stocked and staffed. Great selection of lager, beer and hand pulled ale. Responsible prices too. Heard great things about the food but am yet to eat there, certainly have the intention in the future though. Toilets clean with handsoap and working hand dryer which is always a good sign in my opinion.

Love what they have done with the place, a really good atmosphere to eat in Attentive staff and good food reasonably priced. Will be back again soon.

On Wednesday the 29th November I and 16 friends from the Rothwell Sports centre had our annual Christmas Party at the New Masons.
All my friends agree the party went really well, the food and service was second to none!

Just had the Sunday lunch, it was very nice lots of meat, and hot till the end, waitress and bar service good, will definitely be going back.

I'd like to say that it's rubbish so we'll always be able to get a table however the food is really very good and at a very reasonable prices, try the stake pie the fish and chips and the tapas.

Went for Sunday lunch, the place was reasonably busy but got seated ok and the food was very good.

Only had one pint. The barman appeared unfriendly especially as I asked for my glass to be topped up with the resulting pint put forcibly on the bar thereby knocking the head off. Customer relations course required!

Excellent "proper" pub in the lovely setting of the village of Oulton near Leeds. We stay every year in the nearby Holiday Inn Express and this is by far the best place to eat (and drink) in the area, I just wish we had discovered it years ago rather than only stumbling upon the place for the first time last year! Theres a good choice of beers on tap (both lagers and more traditional types) and the staff are friendly and very helpful. We usually visit with my father who is in a wheelchair and the staff (and friendly local customers) are very helpful, reconfiguring tables and seats to accommodate our party. The food was excellent and it is good to see plenty of historical photographs of the area rather than corporate branding everywhere! Theres also a large outside area which I have enjoyed on a summers evening, and ample off-street car parking as well. The prices are reasonable, and its good to go somewhere where people actually know how to pull a pint!

Stayed here for one night. Had a very warm welcome on arrival and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Good quality pub food and excellent ales. Would liked to have given it a better rating but did not appreciate the cleaners going in the room and moving our belongings around while we were at breakfast. They could have waited half an hour until we checked out.

Food was okay, the portions were a little small and there weren't any proper chairs to sit on so several members of our party had to sit on stools.

I can highly recommend the Yorkshire pudding, sausage and gravy. Good value too.

Been for tea a couple of times and food is spot on. Had tapas the last time and they were delicious. Would of given 5 stars but beer is expensive.

First off I'm American and we are used to exceptional service. This modest English pub surpassed all our expectations. Exceptionally clean rooms, amazing personal service, convenient payment options and fantastic food. We have added this as our favorite place to stay in the Leeds area. We will be back as we visit at least once a year and I cant imagine wanting to stay anywhere else now (and we have tried many different pubs and hotels in the area over the years) Hoping John remains manager for many years to come as we will return.

Been here many times for food including Sunday Lunch, every time the food is excellent, no complaints whatsoever. The Sunday Lunch is great value for money as is the food from the main menu, this pub is worth a visit…
