Came out for Sunday lunch for our sons and grandsons birthday, food was 1st class as was the service. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this friendly place.

Cracking place… lovely staff… meals were brilliant for our tastes. Beer, spirits and wines, had plenty to choose from. Bedroom (ours was room 4) was beautiful with a comfy bed. Grew up visiting this pub. Family is from the village Handful of locals call this place thier watering hole/ eatery; great bunch of friendly folk. Newcomers a common to stop in; often enough they stay for a bite to eat and rest thier heads for the night. Looking for something new and different; check out the Milton.

Brilliant place to stay at. Bed was comfy, room was a good size and all staff was really friendly. The shower is a bit too small to move around in. It is located in a nice peaceful area not to far from a retail park that has many restaurants and shops. The retail park also has a Tesco extra.

Nice country pub and seves good food.

Very friendly and welcoming, even though I turned up in the middle of a wake! Couldn’t do enough for you. All very friendly locals and good food. Very comfortable bed. Pity I was only there for one night. If I’m ever working in the area again, I’d definitely stay again.

Excellent food and friendly atmosphere! Me and my partner both had meals off the special menu — gammon and chips and a mixed grill. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! Lovely quality and well cooked. Very reasonable price and came with free desert! The Milton has a lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and friendly feel! Would definitely recommend The Milton! Can’t wait to try the Sunday Roast!

Lovely hotel great food, manager was a star Evan gave us bottles of water and Welsh cakes for our journey home to Wolverhampton, we will be back in the new year to spend more time there.

Room clean enough space. Breakfast is superb. Parking opposite plenty of room. Gareth friendly & very helpful. Evening dinner portions more than enough with quality.

Fantastic litttle pub in Llanwern village, staff are always friendly and always a pleasure to be there.

What a Change! I have never stayed at the hotel, however over the years I have eaten there many times. My first visit was pub grub, quite good quality for the price. A later visit, and I wondered what the hell had happened. The food was atrocious. BUT, my last two visits to the Milton, and the food is astounding. I have never had a steak so tender and cooked to perfection in a very very long time. The current owners and chef need more that 5/5. They need 10/5 for turning the place around so much. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are always happy to see everyone, and will strike up a conversation over a pint. Well worth a visit and definitely a meal. Great job everyone at the Milton.

Not a hotel, this is a bed an breakfast, booked for work, no desk available to do work. Small room with TV on chest of draws. I understand I booked single but no room to work?!

Had a very pleasant Sunday meal very tasty clean cutlery spotless table service excellent very smart and friendly staff, toilets 100%, this is the second time we have been back and have and always up to top standard well done The Milton. William Tasker Weston Super Mare.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Milton Hotel on the 08/10/13, we have stayed in some lovely places and the night previous we stayed at another four star hotel which was nice but had one important difference,! the customer service we received from Shelley and her daughter! was second to none. We were treated like royalty, the room was a little on the small side but had everything you needed and was spotlessly clean, there was a lovely lounge area where you could eat, or there was the Al a carte restaurant where we enjoyed a beautiful meal, as was the full Welsh breakfast the following morning. Can't praise Shelley enough, she was just lovely and couldn't do enough for us, we will 100% be staying there again, hotel staff were also lovely. Thanks Shelley.

Had 3 course sunday lunch, starter was unpleasant prawn garlic soup, main course was nice plenty of meat and veg, dessert was dissapointing. Very average.

Brilliant place to stay, was here for 3 weeks and made my stay an absolute pleasure. Made me feel right at home and very accommodating, food was best I have had in a long time and I spend alot of time in hotels, Barstaff and Owner very friendly. Seems like they all will do everything in thier power to make your stay as comfortable as possible. 5 Stars for you.

Marvellous display of flowers outside in tubs and hanging baskets and the food inside is just as impressive. Good home cooked food on the bar menu at a reasonable price but for a special occasion try the more expensive restaurant Italian style menu! Good friendly service and staff as well.
