Stayed in October the room was warm and very clean, had a great nights night's sleep with choice of pillows hard or soft, great mattress, room was very quiet, food quality was excellent, plenty to choice from, breakfast was plentiful, and hot, and always topped up… the cleaning staff must work hard as not a speck of dust or rubbish anywhere,, many thanks.

Gorgeous rooms and accommodating staff with the hotel set in an ideal location. Secure parking facilities day and night. A wide range of items on the breakfast menu, which were just delicious. Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Fair sized basic rooms with a comfy bed and shower. Continental breakfast that's self service which is great. Like most places, you only have to wait for the toasting machine. It was easy to find and I would return again. It was faultless, but basic. I would be happy to visit again.

We stayed here for 2 nights, rooms very clean. Staff extremely polite, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. Very good value for money. I will be returning next summer.

I wasn't expecting much from this budget hotel … how wrong could I be … staff were so friendly and helpful with a smile … great bar food and a good breakfast too. Of course most importantly nice sized bedrooms that were clean and tidy with a wonderfully comfy bed. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay. Attended wedding near by so was ideal place to stay. Lovely big room. Breakfast was super… everything you needed to set you up for the day. Staff very polite and friendly.

Honestly a lovely hotel with great staff and great service. Breakfast was great and had a good variety. The room was a reasonable size with an A. C unit and the bed was a good double size. The only downside and this is of course, minor as there is a pub nearby is the location as the office buildings did ruin the view. Would 100% return, great nights sleep!

We loved our stay at holiday Inn express, everything was of high standard, beautiful room and breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here. Shame we had to move on to next stage of our trip.

It looks nice on the outside, and going to the information desk. If you want to have food then forgot, as it only serves pub food, no good for a nice night with your love one. When you are in your room, you will see a menu, which has a list of different foods on it, but if you to what they call a restaurant? The list of good will be lot less. It is ok for a night sleep and that's it.

You know what you're going to get at a Holiday inn Express. Basic, limited food menu and pretty bad coffee. However, meeting room was fine, staff very helpful and car parking was easy and free.

Friendly and helpful staff, was nice that they opened breakfast up earlier to allow us runners have some as we had to leave early. Rooms were very clean and good amenities. Bed was comfortable, definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

It was a last minute hotel and based on that situation I would say the stay was good. However the breakfast was a let down since it only provided scrambled eggs and not porched. Overall a satisfying stay.

It's been a while but this place is handily Located and nicely furnished with everything you need under one roof. It's a modern building with comfy beds and is affordably priced. No brainer really!

Nice room, friendly staff. Bed was too firm and hurt my back. Breakfast ok, but the coffee is awful, and do NOT get you supper here; go the the pub next door: food is similarly priced but 100 times better!

Good location and easy to find from the M4. Surprised how easy it was to get into Cardiff from the hotel. Plenty of free parking and nice large reception area. Staff friendly and very helpful, answered all our questions and provided information about breakfast, the bar, extra tea bags etc, without needing to ask. Breakfast (included) was nice, good choice of cereals, croissants, fruit, muffins and basic cooked breakfast — scrambled egg, beans, sausage and bacon. What impressed me most was that they had allergy information to hand instantly. Making it easy to pick my sons breakfast. You wasn't rushed at breakfast & even people arriving 5mins before it was due to close were given the same treatment. Nice touch was the takeaway cups by the coffee machine. The room was lovely, usual Holiday Inn Express — comfy bed, choice of pillows, nice powerful shower with moveable shower head (always helpful for children), hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, TV, easily adjustable heating, phone and the little things like notepad and pen, tissues, plastic cups in the bathroom, all make for a pleasant stay. Really nice Holiday Inn and we will definitely return when we next travel to Wales. Highly recommend.

Arrived for one night at the Holiday Inn. Normally with work I stay in another chain of hotels but this one was more enroute for my journey. I am converted to Holiday Inn now. Room was warm and very comfortable. The bed was heaven. Pillows, duvet everything was perfect. Staff where so friendly. Gives me peace of mind that only 2 weeks ago I booked the Holiday Inn in New York City for Easter with my family.

Only used one of the conference rooms, didn't stay overnight. The reception staff directed us where to go. Everything seemed clean and modern. Ample car parking. No complaints.

Attended a meeting in one of their meeting rooms. The car park was free and easy to access. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room on the 1st floor was easy to find.

A recent incident left hundreds of workers (and nursery kids) stuck outside on a cold winter’s day. This Holiday Inn took them in and kept them warm and safe until the matter was resolved. Well done to you all.

First night stay, we arrived late, staff friendly. Nice comfortable room in a quiet part of the hotel. Nice & full after breakfast ready to start our day out in Cardiff.

Serviceable. Bed was fine with nice pillows and decent shower. Room was clean, quiet and dark at night. Breakfast was adequate, although the coffee and juice were a bit subpar. Free paper appreciated.

The staff were friendly but the rooms were dirty especially the the bathroom. Sink was not cleaned, the shower was broken couldn't move it to different positions so I had to hold it. The breakfast is not full English, no mushrooms, tried eggs, tomatoes.

Clean, modern, has everything you need. Excellent friendly staff. I not only stayed the night but also attended a course. Unlimited beverages whilst on the course!

As a visitor with disabilities the very basic requirements are met. However there are no accessible parking spaces there are spaces marked with the wheelchair symbol but they are not the required with they are standard width… no use if you require your door to open fully. The emergency pull cords in the rooms have been placed out reach. As for breakfast I had the unfortunate experience of a high ranking member of staff who insisted on giving me odd bits of food even though I said no … but he wouldn't give me what I wanted… it was no you said you wanted… I didn't need the help it was forced on me! All in all a room to sleep in. No more.

Great price, convenient location, fantastic price considering breakfast was also included (nice surprise). The only downside was that the walls are a little thin and as such it was quite noisy at times.

Arrived to a warm welcome. Hotel lounge and eating large and uncrowded. Bedroom typical Holiday Inn but felt fresh and newer than others I have stayed at. It also had its own individual air-conditioning unit and no shower curtain but a glass sliding door — much better! Overall pleasant stay and would come back.

About nothing to say, all right, on the lease you find a little out of hand.

Myself and my team stayed here while working on the champions league final. I was worried before hand the term express put me off quite a bit however when I arrived at the reception and was greeted with great service and then went to my room I was very pleasantly surprised. Throughout our stay the team where phenomenal. I would not hesitate to book here again and received better customer service here than high end establishments such as Celtic Manor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really clean and comfortable. The sofa bed was a little small and lumpy. But if you are not going to be using that you can expect a very pleasant stay.

Couldn't fault it from the very friendly helpful staff to the room clean & modern Then across the road to the dragonfly pub for lovely meal & a few drinks The hotels breakfast was really good too lots of choices We will be doing it again & would recommend both to family and friends.

Really nice hotel, very clean with excellent room facilities and nice bathroom, very helpful smiley staff, decent continental breakfast with hot variety of sausages, scrambled eggs, baked beans and toast, and bacon is on the menu for 2017, 20-25 minutes from Cardiff up the M4, 15 minutes from Newport, Tredegar house and Caerleon, The Dragonfly pub next door for a cosy drink and pub food.

Awrr mate staff were amazing, so polite and attentive. Special mention for Lewis Murapa, what a baller he was a prime example of a nice young well brought up gentleman, ace.

Location is good close to supermarket, the rooms are amazing but I would love to have a little fridge to store food. And the service for both the bar and room service is amazing, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff there where rude, beds where uncomfortable, rooms over priced and the breakfast the eggs where powdered and made me feel sick and the beans where the cheapest ever. Lastly no one was at reception for me to sign out waited 10 minutes then got bored and just left my key on the desk won't be going back to this or any other holiday inn.

Great example of a holiday Inn express. Staff are always friendly. Rooms are clean and bright. Not much round there though in terms of choice for food but there are a few good places a short taxi ride away.

Can't complain. Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on a business trip. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, fast free Wi-Fi, friendly staff, decent enough breakfast (not a huge select but it done the job). Would stay again.

Booked in advance for two single beds for one night which cost about £60. We arrived at 8 with no trouble finding it because it is right on the main road. Despite this we could not hear the road noticeably which is rare in many hotels. The beds were very comfortable, as was the room temperature which was regulated by air conditioning (not very loud either). Delightful bathroom and well equipped room withTV and kettle with tea and coffee, as is standard. The only thing that exceeded the room was the staff. When we entered we were greeted promptly by the front desk and were signed in within 5 minutes and given some great advice about where to eat (friar's walk, Newport has a large range of restraints). The breakfast, included as part of the stay was available from 6.30 to 9.00 am and was pretty standard — toast, cereal, scrambled eggs and sausages etc. Can't find a fault for the price, and considering it is cheaper, nixer and includes breakfast than the premier inn in Cardiff, it is worth the extra 29 minute drive to the capital.

Stayed over the August Bank Holiday, nice clean rooms, Excellent continental breakfast, friendly staff, free newspapers each day, close to motorway buses to Cardiff regular, only 25min journey, adjacent to a Gregs Bakery, Costa Coffee and Local Pub. Free parking. Negative no free Wi-Fi in rooms, only in lobby also expensive to use if you want to use more than an hour. I had very bad mobile signals in hotel, needed to come to lobby, breakfast area to receive a signal. Close to Business Park, Good area layout for jogging and running.

Positive: clean, quiet room, convenient pub next door, can walk to nearby Crystal Springs business park, staff and service good despite being full up, nice walk in Tredegar House gardens nearby. Negative: Sterile, contemporary, bland branded atmosphere, usual rip-off charges for broadband, congested approach roads.
