Non binary and intersex/trans friendly and stayed many times before, always made to feel welcome Free luggage storage after checkout and a generous breakfast at £8 Only negative thing is the large hill to climb from Sauciehall street to get to the hotel.

Room 22 was a dump. Torn window blind. Scruffy cupboard. Flaky cheap nasty flooring. Bare walls. Broken towel rail in toilet. Taped up electric cables above sink. Scruffy tiling in toilet. Mismatched toilet seat. Damp smell in toilet. Doors not closing properly. Don't you believe the pictures you see on their Facebook. They are nothing like the reality we experienced. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. Horrible.

Was a beautiful clean, friendly staff and family friendly hotel.

Rooms are spotless, beds very comfortable, good breakfast selection. Reception staff very courteous, and helpfull.

Worst experience of my life. And when staff think it is acceptable to tell paying customers to F**k off in front of a full room of people and then to proceed to shout and bad mouth us throughout the hotel, I'm sorry but absolutely no way this behaviour should be condoned. No duty or on call manager at all for this hotel either. Had absolutely no sleep because of broken old windows which staff were keeping shut by jamming folded bits of paper into the gaps.

The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good but the night staff were unhelpful. Do not stay here if you have mobility problems as they put us on the third floor and the staff were not willing to help us up with our bags. The stairways are extremely narrow and the top flight of stairs are also shallow. The person in the night desk moaned about being asked to clean a room while climbing up the stairs beside us and watching us struggle. You can also hear every movement within the hotel, I am a very heavy sleeper but I was woken up three time in the early hours by noises that shouldn’t have bothered me. The establishment is also undergoing re decoration and the whole place stank of paint which meant we had to have the windows wide open all night in January.

My friend stayed here and the photos they took were shocking bedding a mess holes in the roof staff were so rude also would never stay here! The pictures are very different from the room I seen!

We choose this place because it was centrally located in Glasgow and based on the photos of the dining area, bedding, and the included breakfast. It was extremely disappointing upon arrival. The evening desk person was very unorganized, parking was limited and not free. You had to purchase 3 parking vouchers per day. The key ring was an enormous plastic rectangle you would expect to receive at a gas station. The door was hard to open, the toilet wouldn't flush properly unless you pressed the handle I just the right way, and the show sprayed all over the small bathroom since the shower curtain didn't contain the spray of water from the shower head. I expected better quality for price paid. We did enjoy the hot breakfast bar included in the cost. The downside was you were not allowed to eat food outside of the dining area. I would have preferred to finish. Y hot beverage and pastry in my room. We were out all day both nights and only needed the place to sleep and shower so it served it's purpose. If you're not looking for fancy I would recommend but with reservations.

Stayed for one night as a stopover from Alicante to. Manchester. Nice hotel, very comfortable and quiet. Great breakfast in the morning and about 15 minutes walk to Glasgow Central train station.

This was great. Steep hill to climb and a few steps but I loved it. Good location, pleasant staff and excellent breakfast. Loved the oatcakes.

Value for money. Decent standard. Few bits and bobs may need improving but the price is good enough to diminish all the faults. Nice breakfast completes the experience. Parking spaces. Have you stated it's free? to be paid for? I can't remember what's online but it may be worth stating. Definitely would be staying there again. Thank you.

The hotel is most beautiful on the outside than on the inside. Very small bathroom, all the rest is, at best, average. Not worth the price paid, which is pretty above average as Glasgow is fully booked for the European Championships.

Good value and affordable hotel in the city centre. Great size double double bed ensuite room for our family of four made the cost even better as we didn't have to book two rooms! Breakfast was really good with lots of choice both cooked and continental. Metered on street parking right outside but the hotel provided scratch off vouchers that covered the cost.

Great location, great breakfasts, especially coffee and croissants, great price, 40 pounds (admittedly apparently there was a good discount on booking. Old cozy building, clean. It would not hurt to repair cosmetics, but it is not the main thing. I recommend, for this price would settle and next time.

Good value hotel. Our room was big, some issues with the hot water but in general not too bad.

We've been to the Victorian House 5 Years ago. Despite Renovation unfortunately did not meet the Expectations. Maybe it was also because of the very low Booking price at Booking? The Hotel is located relatively close to the hotel. Centre. Again, though, I wouldn't book.

Very friendly comfortable stay. So helpful at reception for the whole stay great stay for the price. Will stay again.

Amazingly priced hotel for its location, a mere 10 minute walk from the city Centre. Free breakfast was very nice and the condition of the ensuite room was very very good. If I had to find a criticism it would be that there’s no elevator, which made it painful coming back in the evening. But that really is a small point.

If you're looking for quality it's not your place. But if you're looking to sleep at a good price is the ideal. Large rooms without heating (it has radiators but do not work), the window does not close well and is noisy by the tembleque (at least in our room), the noise of the street, although not this elapsed, is heard quite. The room was clean and the bed was very good. For the price I would recommend (if you are going to spend a couple of nights it is cheap and this well) to spend a holiday as you don't.

The building is in good condition. It's central and quiet area. My room was confortable but the breakfast was really really good.

Room is clean and adequate, staff on reception are welcoming and helpful. The hotel is dated and is in need of redecorating and carpets need replacing. Breakfast is good but on Bank holiday Monday it was still normal week day service times of 7am-9am. We arrived just before 9am and there was hardly any food left and they had begun to pack food away. At 9am sharp they turned the drinks machine off even though people were still eating. We didn't sleep too well either as we were in the basement and we could here everything that went on including the kitchen staff getting ready at 6.30am! Overall Glasgow was OK but I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Rooms a great size… bed very comfy. Great sleep… breakfast fantastic. Best we have had in a hotel for a while… T he hill that is called Garnet Street… this will tell how fit you are… but if you are out all day then it is just once a day to climb…

Only lost one start because I didn't get to try the breakfast since I had to checkout early. This hotel is a gem. It's cozy, it's clean, yet not as pricey as others near it.

The room is wide and with 2 double beds and a small one.
But we hit a basement and it's below the street level. It's kind of claustrophobic, but hey. For a couple of nights, not too bad.
Close to the train station and the center.

The hotel is very mediocre, well given the price you pay this is very much expected. However I just didn't expect the room to be so damp and very cold, also the bathroom was leaking. The breakfast staff did not provide a great customer service and where quite rude if I'm honest. I'll give it a solid 1.5 of 5 and that's me being generous.

Nice spacious and clean rooms in the city centre. Breakfast is AMAZING. Helpful and friendly staff. No bar though.

Was looking for a cheap overnight stay in Edinburgh so thought I'd try a room here. Room and bathroom were nice and clean (although there was a small drainage problem with the shower). Nice easy check in/out. Decent Scottish breakfast including haggis and black pudding (as well as continental). No problems with Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was pretty good… the bedbugs not so much. The room itself was 7/10, looked clean enough. No shampoo in the bathroom, just a bar of soap. This place would be a 3.5 to 4 star review but I woke up with bug bites all over my body. In all my travels and staying in some pretty sketch places, I have never been bitten by bed bugs, until this stay. I stayed in room 13.

Great value, very comfortable. Had single room with ensuite. Very clean and comfortable bed. Good choice at breakfast. Fried eggs overcooked, all else great.

Spacious rooms, quick and easy check-in, great breakfast. Good location as it is in a quiet area but just 2 minute walk onto Sauchiehall St. Had a lovely stay.

I got a big room with fantastic Victorian style tall windows. Bathroom could be maintained better but acceptable. Breakfast very tasty. Noise in the morning from other people going in and out. I paid less than £30 and I liked it for this price.

DONT STAY HERE EVEN IF THEY OFFER YOU FOR FREE… PATHETIC EXPERIENCE… TERRIBLE… The lady at the reception is very hostile and rude to the guests. Not only this, a senior man in the evening shift didnt appear lesser hostile. They probably ruined my entire trip experience and were very stubborn and unsupportive. I think the hotel management should look into this or else this will seriously dent the image of this hotel which already doesnt have anything to boast about. There is no lift in the hotel and I had to drag my 4 luggages to the 2nd floor with my little children. The hotel overall is pathetic with a poor location and away from the main location. Bathrooms are quite small and building is very old and in shatters. My advise to friends who are going to travel and planning to stay here, please dont go for it and spoil your experience.

Everything was amazing. The person checking me in was so friendly and kind and very welcoming. The place was cute and had a homely feeling. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars was the bed. I had a king bed, but it was just two twins pushed together, so the middle was a bit uncomfortable. That aside, everything else top notch. And the breakfast included was nothing like you with find at a USA Hotel. The breakfast was truly amazing. Lots of selections from bacon, eggs, sausage, and more hot dishes. And then the was juices and coffee and cereal and toast. This sort of breakfast you have to pay extra in the USA for. Also, location was amazing. Within a 10 minute walk from a major shopping area with pubs and restaurants.

Nice place for a simple overnight stay where you're not going to be in the hotel all that much, a good sized, light and airy room, and a very good breakfast the next morning. Staff were all very nice. Nothing too fancy, and that's fine. Would definitely consider staying again.

It was a fantastic stay. Great choice for my sister and I. Close to town and the shops, friendly staff (so very! ), comfortable room with a bay window and all the amenities one would need (except for an elevator, no biggie when someone helps with the luggage; and they did). Food was the best for a hot breakfast and tea. Loved it! We will be back.

Stayed here last night. Beautiful Victorian building set a few moments walk from Glasgow City Centre… yet, very quiet. Room was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Staff on reception were very friendly and all the other staff were very helpful and immediately came to the room when needed. Got up this morning to a wonderful aroma and had a full cooked breakfast (included in price) in a lovely breakfast room. Very reasonable prices with in room coffee/tea making facilities, en-suite bathroom and hairdryer. Very very happy and will be staying here on my next visit to Glasgow.

We were there for a night. The double room was reasonably spacious, but that's the only Positive. The room had an unpleasant smell and the walls have seen better days. The bathroom had mold and should be renovated and the bed linen had stains. The room and Breakfast was definitive the price of the 71 pounds.

Nothing major to complain about besides the room being set at an obscenely high temperature.

Stayed here for 2nights, looks a bit run down and tired and could be done with updating and a paint but room was very comfortable and warm, shower worked well, breakfast was great. Its well worth the price id say.

The receptionist was nice, the location was good, the breakfast was fantastic, but the hotel is despicably grubby! Room was untidy upon arrival, mould on the ceilings, hair in the shower, and bed. Stains on the linen, and the towels were threadbare. Very shabby indeed.

I didn't like the position and the receptionist, who was not very kind. The breakfast was plenty and the room clean, but very small and not very nice. Just too expensive for the service.

I booked a single room for 3 nights at the Victoria House Hotel in Glasgow. They gave me room 9, I could not stay there more than 2 hours when I realized that it was full of bed bugs and I had so many bites on my arms and back. This hotel is very filthy, should have an inspection and be closed down immediately.
