Lovely time here. The staff work super hard to see to everyone. The queue looked big when we walked in but the wait wasn't long. The prices are really reasonable for afternoon tea and it is really beautiful.

Really good selection of traditional afternoon tea but also Scottish meal options which were excellently presented. Not expensive either.

Delicious afternoon tea — scones freshly baked, moist on the inside and the perfect bite on the outside. Meringue and fresh cream exactly as it should be. Sandwich selection was traditional: egg, cucumber, smoked salmon and ham. Each wonderful in its own right. We were a little confused by the lack of oatcakes — but there was plenty to eat. The prawn & avocado salad was excellent as was the lemon meringue pie. Not super cheap but definitely worth the money. Service a little slow because the place was packed. We were lucky we didn't have to queue.

Food here is always great. Great range on offer and a wide range of gluten free options. Cakes are amazing too.

Lovely setting in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh as he styled many tea rooms in Glasgow. There is no level access to the Buchanan Street Tea Rooms and you must ascend a healthy set of stairs to first floor where there is a small gift shop and tea room. There is another further tea room in turquoise blue decorated with a Chinese influence up another flight of stairs. Afternoon tea is wonderful and fairly priced served with selection of tea/coffee or upgrades can be had with prosecco/champagne or Hendricks G&T. There are other menu offerings as well.

Fresh scones made in house. Good value for money. Friendly staff, very accommodating even when busy. You also get a lot of tea for your money :)

Went today. Poor service. Ordered food which when it was brought was wrong order. Being vegetarian they brought food with meat in. No problem with them taking it back but then had to wait again for proper order. Panini hard to eat as very crusty. After finished we were asked if we wanted to see dessert menu. We said yes but it never came. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

A delightful little tea room spread over two floors. Featuring Renée Mackintosh designs throughout, from the ceramic napkin holders to the walls. We ate desserts in the Chinese tea rooms, which were beautifully bright. I strongly recommend the meringues — perfectly crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle, served with a generous amount of thick cream.

Took my fiancée here for brunch, and we both had the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were quite boring and bland. The egg mayo was in dire need of salt and pepper. The only sandwich that had any real flavor at all was the ham with peppercorn jam, the flavor coming more from the jam than the meat. The scones were alright. Nothing to write home about. The decor was nice and the staff (clad in French maid’s outfits? ) were friendly and eager to help. The ambience was harmed, however, by a very loud, jarring beep-beep that seemed to chime every time a staff member entered or exited the kitchen. This went off at least a couple of times per minute. All in all, an alright experience but this place seems to try too hard on their decor and ambience. They need to try harder with their food quality. And get rid of (or at least lower the volume on) that blasted door chime, for pity’s sake.

Absolutely amazing! We one ordered afternoon tea set for four of us, gluten free and vegetarian options were widely available. I also ordered French toast on the side which was the best I've ever had. The staff were absolutely lovely and the atmosphere was on point. Would definitely recommend.

Nice local, architecturally interesting, Macintosh furniture, good assortment of teas but small portions and not adequate as taste to the environment. Quite expensive for what it offers.

Delicious good British baked goods and hot drink.

The place is lovely so it's something on "must see" list but unfortunately food is nothing special: very small portions, not too warm and in such place I was expecting something exquisite. Also service should be more professional and nicer. ;)

Hidden gem. Lovely menu, great range of teas and other drinks. Good food menu also. Great decor and ambiance. Great to bring visitors. Convenient city location.

Went recently for a birthday, myself and my daughter had the vegan tea and husband the haggis meal and cake. The food was lovely, and the tearooms themselves were lovely. The only minor complaint I had was that we had booked ahead of time but when we arrived we still had to wait a good 15 — 20 minutes for a seat, there was a large queue and we did skip most of it but not all. But overall a minor annoyance in an otherwise lovely lunch. Definitely recommended.

A nice experience to take a well-served tea in a studio architecture house of the great Scottish master.

A great place to go for breakfast or to have tea in the afternoon. The atmosphere is very cozy. I consider it a compulsory visit to better understand the city.

Excellent for a light meal and a pot of tea at lunchtime. Beautiful surroundings showcasing some of the finest work of Charles Rennie McIntosh, in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Very reasonably priced.

Very fun place to stop for an "authentic tea room experience. " This one may be a tad hard to find, as you have to find a door way and take stairs up. We sat on the first level and had great service. The food (and of course) the tea was great. The price was surprisingly reasonable too.

My husband and I decided to have afternoon tea here with champagne as it was our 1st wedding anniversary. Afternoon tea at £12.99 or £19.95 with champagne. We got one 3 tier plate shared between us, which cost us nearly £40. To us this was a disgrace. Yesterday we had afternoon tea at Kimble's and it cost us £28 for two 3 tier plates which was better value for our money but also more choice and coffee refills. I feel that we didn't get good value for £40 with champagne, that we spent. Very disappointing. Certainly won't be going back.

If I could give zero I would, very disappointed. Called the day before & booked a table. Taken over to table (menus went somewhere else don't ask) eventually got menus then waited & waited for ages no-one came to take our order or even close to the table. After about 20min we had enough so got up packed our bags & left. We both wanted an afternoon tea & had booked this as a special treat while visiting Glasgow… don't bother unless you bring your own tea coffee sandwiches for the wait. This was in the quieter upstairs part… not impressed.

Our visit to Glasgow was made a little more special when we dined at The Willow Tea Rooms. The main course was simple good home cooked food. The strawberries and ice cream were heavenly. As for the short bread… yes… I was in Scotland and I knew it … PERFECT. All the staff were efficient and polite and made us feel extremely welcome. The place was spotless. We were not rushed and had a most pleasant relaxing time. The manager was friendly and accommodating… commendable considering how busy the place was at the time. PERFECT for ladies who lunch and adore afternoon tea.

It was well located and very good price quality, breakfast is British and not wrong. The only thing that when you lower breakfast comes up with all the smell of the kitchen.

A little old but what there is by the Center… la is wide.

The guy on reception is arragent and basically an idiot no people skills whatsoever the room never got cleaned the bed was like it hadnt been changed at all and there was no towels or tea and coffee in the room the only decent thing about this place is the breakfast and the female staff personally I wouldnt let my dog stay there.

Had the misfortune of booking in here online. This place is a dump! its filthy dirty, stinks of smoke, and very noisy! Will never return.

Although the single rooms are too small for a Single Double rooms are perfect for what you are paying for! The staff at this Hotel are Amazing! I have never met so many great hospitable staff in my stays anywhere in Scotland! Hands down — They are the best crew of people.
