Had afternoon tea, food was gorgeous and fresh, staff were fab and very helpful, would definitely recommend it.

Loved our afternoon tea before the tennis. Lovely variety of sandwiches and cakes. A glass of Prosecco and tea just what we needed. Lovely staff in a lovely bar area. We will definitely be back. 🥂🧁🍪☕️🥂🍰

I attended your hotel today for an afternoon tea. I just wanted to say the buffet style was a great idea, myself and my sisters really enjoyed it. The staff in the bar and restaurant are a credit to the hotel, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, I arrived early as I live in Falkirk and the staff were checking in on me while I was waiting making sure I didn't need anything. I can't remember all the names but Dana was fabulous and so are her colleague's. Selection of sandwiches & cakes where delicious we will definitely be back.

The place beautiful well rum the staff couldn't have been more helpful the afternoon tea was well presented both myself and my sister had a lovely afternoon thank you so much.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Close to main shops & eating places. Comfortable & clean rooms. Comfy bed. Hot shower. Great staff. Very professional. 2 particular staff members that come to mind that made our stay very enjoyable were Iain & Dawn both working in the bar, restaurant & breakfast area. Both very friendly and efficient. Iain was very engaging and couldn’t do enough to help my mum & I. Thanks. Definitely recommend.

Easy fast check-in, lovely room and plentiful, hot breakfast.
Staff were all friendly, the cookies on check-in were a nice touch and car parking facilties (just £10 for 24 hours) was an added bonus being located in the city.

I was at the hotel last night with my partner. The room was grubby looking, the toilet was disgusting. Wood was water damaged and just looked really unkempt. When we booked in no one asked if we wanted breakfast so when I call at 0800 the following morning to ask about breakfast I was refused it staff saying the dining room was fully booked and they could not allow us breakfast.

Great staff team, nothing is to much trouble.

Only thing that let this hotel down was no smart TVs other than that had a great stay and breakfast was spot on xx.

Went here for afternoon tea. Included a glass of prosecco but we had soft drink instead. Food was lovely cakes amazing. Staff lovely food replenished regularly. Would def return and recommend.

A great stay. Excellent staff especially Dominic in the bar who had a great sense of humour and was very efficient. A real credit to the place.

We were booked for the Executive lounge but felt more like a creche. Nice room, staff lovely too.

Room was nice and the staff very friendly and the breakfast was great. A special mention to Robert on the main reception for finding our presents which we left in the taxi coming back to the hotel and the chef on Saturday night for making my daughter chocolate chip cookies to cheer her up great service.

The rooms are nice, a bit smaller than they looked online but it is a city centre hotel. Unfortunately the room we slept in had an annoying noise all night. Similar to the sound of the air con, however our aircon was definitely off. It sounded like some pipes or something ran along the ceiling in our room. On checkout we weren't asked how we slept and receptionist seemed in a hurry to complete the process. Very disappointing for such and expensive nights stay!

This hotel deserves a five star and I would have given it if were not for the pool/spa… travelling with a ten year old the pool was a selling feature for us. After going for a swim I was done changing before my daughter and told her I would wait for her in the reception area. A few minutes later a MALE member of the staff came out of the ladies change room. When I asked him why he was in there he was very rude and said “because I work here”. I continued to ask him why he had gone in there and he was very rude, said that it didn’t matter because my daughter was dressed (she wasn’t) and that it was his right to be in there. I complained to the manager and all I was told is that they would ‘speak to him’. My daughter felt violated and is still asking me why he was in there.

This was a nice, quiet hotel but still close enough to the center of the city to be within easy walking distance of most things you want to see and do. It's also near a subway stop, and there's a friendly little pub called Jackson's near-by that's fun to visit. We got in early from a trans-Atlantic flight and were totally jet-lagged. After directing us to a tasty place to have breakfast, the staff were able to get us into a room very early so that we could get a little nap before exploring further. We had an excellent stay.

I’m not one for complaining but my experience here last night was disappointing. I attended an awards night and arrived having travelled a considerable distance and dripping in perspiration only to be told I couldn’t check in until the room was paid. That’s fair enough and perfectly acceptable but what was unacceptable was once I unpicked that the university paying for the room had made a mistake on the online booking system and were trying to rectify it the staff member still refused to let me check in. I had to go and change in the toilets at John Lewis and returned hot and stressed in the unusually high temperatures. My colleagues were in a train running late and I eventually got into the room five minutes before the event. I’m not one for complaining at all and I’m very easy going but why didn’t common sense prevail here he could clearly see I was stressed yet wouldn’t offer any help. It ruined the whole evening and I’m afraid despite the food being good I wouldn’t return here again because of the lack of compassion when the situation was being resolved. There’s rules and then there’s common sense and compassion. Sorry Double Tree but there needs to be a change in attitude or something out in place that allows common sense judgement to be made.

Great location, comfortable stay. Clean bed, sheets and bathroom. LOVED the warm 'welcome cookie' That's how it's supposed to be done! Everything was great, except. We've ordered for cutlery to have food at our room, which never came. Would have appreciated if it was communicated to us, that there was no availability of cutlery at that time, instead of making us wait.

I travel quite often and I would say that some common standards are not being maintained. I booked an executive room for 3. The cleaning service didn't clean the room the 1st day. The 2nd day, the room was cleaned but they left no cleaned towel. For the breakfast there is no tea/coffee machine. You have to run after servers to get yourself served. And a lot of other glitches as well. I have provided a feedback. I hope these things are resolved.

I won a facebook competition It was dinner for 2 in the hotel restaurant last night then a taxi to the Kings and tickets for Titanic the musical! What an amazing night from start to finish! I have never met such friendly staff in a hotel ever, every single person we met couldn't have been nicer and made us feel so welcome! The food was incredible, can honestly say its the nicest fish I have ever tasted we also got a glass of wine included! The show was brilliant I loved it and we had great seats! Thank you again for such an amazing prize will definitely be booking a room and staying soon and will be in the restaurant again x.

Very good ambience. Staff very helpful and well mannered. Got big hall for big party which can accommodate 300+ people. Situated in heart of Glasgow city centre. Enjoyed very much.

Attended a work function here. For sitting 440 people the food was fantastic. Steaks were pure perfection. From the minute I arrived the service was great. Rooms are spacious.

3rd time staying here. Still find this hotel amazing. Close to shopping streets with great variety of restaurants around. Also 5 mins walk away from subway if needs to. Moderate size swimming pool that can get busy at times with Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam room. Totally enjoyed my stay (yet again).

My friend and I arrived from Toronto to Glasgow at 11am. We made our way to the hotel where they allowed us to drop off or luggage. They gave us a ticket for each bag and stored it securely away until we could check in after we went for lunch. When we returned they promptly got our luggage have us our room key and a warm cookie. The room is gorgeous. Clean, beautiful beds and lovely decor in the room. Food was delicious… Black pudding and potato salad, cod in cream cheese sauce, and sticky toffee pudding!

A good hotel. A very pleasant stay with a great breakfast in the morning. The beds are a little firm, and the bathrooms a little small, but the rooms are modern and spacious. I love they have plugs by the bed, along with plenty of powered USB ports around the room and at the desk. Love the cookies on arrival. Will stay again.

I attended an annual dinner a couple of months ago. He food served was incredible and the waiting staff were efficient. This is a good venue for events.

Great place to visit for an expo or conference. Lovely staff, genuine care and attention! I attended for Scotland’s exclusive wedding event — definitely the best wedding show I have been to yet!

Large 7 storey Hotel somewhat pretentious but that is far from expected by the Hilton chain. Spacious rooms with two comfortable beds of large size. Reformed bathroom with excessively high tub to get in and out. Welcome details that you should remember to be delivered and bathroom amenities upon request at reception. In our case we had a single bath towel in a double room. Well located and very close to the city centre. Reception staff unkind to the Spanish and maybe something overwhelmed by overwork.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Doubletrees and Hilton’s with work and can honestly say I’ve never met friendlier staff. I was staying with my nieces who are 12 and 6 and it was a bday treat for my niece turning into a teenager and the staff could not have been any better at making them feel special. They got extra cookies at check in, the pool staff were so welcoming and everyone was just so helpful and made them feel at home. My girls had a ball and didn’t want to leave this morning! The room was perfect, spotless and they asked if we could do it again next year. So massive thanks and well done to all your staff.

This has only recently been taken over by double tree but is reasonably good hotel reasonably priced. It has fairly good bar on ground area and has good function suite although its a few years since I attended function here. The gym spa and swimming pool are main reason I come here, membership is advised but not essential. Pool is about 15M and narrow so can be difficult to exercise in.

Excellent for city centre hotel. Much better than Hilton garden Inn down by the secc. Rooms modern comfy and you actually want to spend some time in it. Spa facilities are good, maybe a bit busy for the size of them. Would definitely return.

All staff working throughout the snow blizzard which brought glasgow to a stand still the past two days have been absolutely amazing. They kept the restaurants and bar going to serve food and drinks as well as an almost full breakfast in the morning with a smile on their face — even though they had done double and triple shifts with very little sleep. Excellent service thank you so much.

Perfect stay in the perfect hotel. Rooms were immaculately clean. You get a free hazelnut cookie every time you pass reception! I should have passed it more often lol. The car park is easily accessed via lifts which take you straight to your door. The pool however was full so I couldn't really enjoy it to the max but still great stay and will most likely stay again :)

Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Rooms were neat, clean, bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom modern and clean, fantastic shower, good complimentary toiletries. Parking reasonable for city centre, secure and direct access into hotel. Leisure facilities were also well kept and clean.

A short uphill walk from the railway station to the hotel, is a beautiful hotel. Loved my stay & the breakfast too. Downtown is just a healthy 10-15” walk from Hilton. The only part I did not like is I had requested for a small cake as it was my sons birthday — online but no response. Rest all good.

Very central. Not too expensive. The only thing about the food as British a menu little adaptable to foreigners. They don't move from their traditional dishes. But very good.

Parking is easy as it is underground of the hotel but just little tight. Hotel rooms are large, clean, modern and comfortable. Service was slow as we called for bathrobes and bedroom slippers twice and waited for nearly an hour but it never came. The water in the swimming pool was very cold too.

Nice size family room. Only problem was the shower. It had a "Rain Forest" shower head. There must have been a drought. The snow outside had more pressure. And £14.95 for breakfast was a bit steep but lots of local places to eat.

I visited the DoubleTree Glasgow Central to meet a friend for drinks. The bar area is located just off the main reception area. It is a good size with plenty different types of seating in a variety of layouts. Booths, comfy seats and more formal supportive seats all with or without tables. Despite it being Christmas, there were seats available even though it was busy. Bar service was quick, but fairly dry. If you like to chat to your barman, it might be hard work here. It was easy to chat with my friend, background music was at a low enough level to be aware of but not to make conversation difficult.

Hotel was nice but service at breakfast let it down. Staff spent more time behind the scene rather than tables. Having to ask for tea or coffee was a problem as no staff around. Hot food was cold and cold eggs and bacon does not taste good. Waitress dropped a knife on floor while setting a table. That knife was used for one of the settings. Perfect location for shopping but we would not stay again unless we knew staff had been brought up to standard that guests expect.

Had a great night, lovely room and hotel facilities are great. Late checkout is a great idea, pity the room staff forget people are there to sleep and relax. Not to listen to them having loud conversations in the hallway from 830 am.

This was a lovely Hotel which was got at a bargain rate. The pool and 'spa' pool were great for relaxing in and the actual rooms were spacious and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful — the food was also amazing, their breakfast is a must in the morning with so much variety on offer. Its well located within Glasgow too, being close to shopping centres and the airport as well. I'd highly recommend it!

I stayed at the Doubletree in Glasgow while I was on a business trip last week. The first night was fine, but on the second night (which was a Thursday night) I was woken up at 2am by the sounds of a raucous all-night party coming from directly below my bedroom. I went to see what was going on and was told by the person on the desk that this party had been booked by their events team, that it would go on until at least 4 am, and there was nothing he could do about it. It meant a sleepless night and a nightmare day at work the next day. In consequence, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are lots of nice hotels in Glasgow where they treat you better than this. I suggest that you go and stay in one of those other hotels instead.

Room in very good condition and clean. Curtains also thick too leaving the room very dark. Staff very good too. Parking is a little on the right side. Be warned the entrance isn't very well sign posted and is actually accessed around the back of the building. A good overnight rate. My second time here and will come again. Good location to bars, restaurants and shops with an easy exit out back to the motorway.

Not the best Hilton I have been in but still lovely, comfortable, friendly staff, location was pretty good easy to get around. Big car park underneath, nice pool, impressive gym. Happy to return there if occasion demands.

Hotel very nice, staff very nice and accommodating, food priced mid-class, but really delicious. Unfortunately, we had a group of Americans on the stick with very lively children who ran from door to door until the middle of the night.

Staff are very friendly and courteous. The rooms are generous in size abd comfort and clean. There are restaurants, bars, a pool and gym so all of your needs are met. Location is excellent and central. Recommended stay. Price point is value for money.

I stayed there on a business trip for 2 nights. The rooms were well designed and quite spacious. Beds were comfortable. Location is very good, just next to the city centre. There is a nice gym and pool. The only thing missing was mini bar in my room.

Room was nice, very well kept other than a slight musty smell as you enter. The bathroom is small and the shower sprays past the edge of the glass partition so I imagine it is just that it gets through into the carpet from time to time. Had drinks in the restaurant at the end of the night. Parking in the lot was a bit pricey but it's a dense area so to be expected. Staying there again so obviously we enjoyed it more than not. Breakfast was nice up in the exec lounge, assume you get that with HHonors so recommend you have that for any Hilton property.

Nice hotel with convenient location to subway, taxi stand and train. Staff was great, especially Lorna in the pub. Only complaint is that the bathrooms are small, and the design of the shower has it leaking big puddles. Best food we had in all of Scotland was one block away at Ardnamurchan.

Excellent Hotel in the center of Glasgow, very wide room with classy finishes, exceptional breakfast. Nothing to plead.

Attended a charity fashion show. Parking could prove difficult at peak times. The venue was spacious and well presented. Drinks prices at the bar seemed standard for hotel bars in the area. I was disappointed though with being asked to pay £7.50 per person for the kids to have a small plate of chips and cheap chicken strips. The hotel is very close to sauchiehall street so a short walk and I was able to find plenty of places to keep their tummies from rumbling. Overall we had a lovely experience at the event in the hotel and will surely be back again.

Superb stay for one night with family. The standard of the entrance and bar area is very high, with a contemporary design and friendly helpful staff. Checking in was made very easy with attentive staff on hand to help with questions. They even allowed us to check in early. We used the hotel car park, which is situated directly under the main hotel and we'll priced at £8.50 for 24 hours. We used the pool, which we found well looked after and very clean. The bedrooms are large and spacious, with high quality TV, bathroom fittings and very comfortable beds. There was no hair dryer in the room but there is an iron if required. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice clean room, the most comfortable hotel bed ever, lovely breakfast (with haggis if you want it) and close to shops. Downside is the external appearance and the refurbishment which it taking place during summer 2016. Despite this, excellent value with cost comparable to a Premier Inn and facilities much better despite the refurbishment.

I just tried to book a room with a £100 voucher, which I received as a gift, that they could tell had not been used. But they said I couldn't do that, as it had expired. It's disgusting that they took my parents money and when they saw that the voucher had not been spent just withheld their hard earned pounds from any future transactions. As if it is not difficult enough for older people to get by without Hotel Connexions ROBBING them!

Very nice inside for events. Once it came to the hostel/waiting staff very bad. They would take your full drinks if left at a table to go dancing and this happend more then one time. This isn't the hotel's fault. It's the people they hire to run receptions and balls and so forth. Also they were rude and would just take things without asking if you where done with them ie. Food, drinks, napkins.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfy beds and spacious room. Had the best night sleep yet and I stayed at the Waldorf down the street. Loved it and it will be my choice next I'm back to Edinburgh.

Had a great stay at this hotel easy to find from the station great location so much going on around the area the staff were excelant my room was good and breakfast was top notch cant wait to return.
