Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Location is ideal for going to Buchanan street and for catching trains from Glasgow Central station.

Right in the buzz, clean, great breakfast step out into some great pubs.

It's a basic hotel in central glasgow you get what you pay for. I been here twice and rooms are clean and staff are nice apart from grumpy barman last night.

The hotel was lovely the staff were so helpful the bar staff were very friendly, I will certainly go back.

My room had a view on the backyard full with garbage bins, extremely dirty windows, rusty smell, a bathroom with mold. Sorry. Never again.

Had a meal here on the way to Pink concert, it had a lovely atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was amazing, would definately recommend.

Friendly, professional, helpful staff, the food arrived quickly considering it was all made fresh to order. The menu is extensive and the food absolutely exquisite full of flavour. It was busy as they had a lunch buffet, so clearly popular with local people which is always a good sign. 5 star recommendation for us ⭐️

Me and my pal come here every year cosy little pub just 2 door down great night life and friendly people, the hotel is clean beautiful id rate it a good 4/5 star staff and food are amazing 2 will be bk every year.

The location is perfect, but for me it's the only good thing this hotel has. The rooms are small, mine was actually dirty (dust, heads) all over the place even in the kettle. The breakfast it's really poor. For me it's overpriced. I went there last weekend and the receptionist was working as a barman as well, so you have to wait too much for the check in or for your drinks. The guy was polite and friendly, doing his job in a professional way, but the service is not good enough. If it's for a night or a weekend to go out could worth, but definitely you can find a better one in the same area. No recommended.

Good central location, good facilities, good breakfast. Room was spacious and quiet at night, spotless. Breakfast was good and food in bar downstairs was also good. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble.

The hotel staff were very nice and held our bags for us until the room was ready. When we got back still friendly staff at the desk. We got to our room and it was very poorly upkept. The floor had a big stain, bathroom had a lifted tile that displaced when you stepped on it. Tv made terrible noise and only had 3 channels. The bathroom had cracking all over with exposed parts of the tub. It was very unpleasant. If you are spending a single night and don't care about these issues it's perfect. Right downtown so close to everything and across the street from the train station.

A bit tired. Room was very warm. Good location though.

Clean rooms, nice service, great location — you are quickly in the center, bus station very close.
Vis à vis it has several super pups. The bar in the hotel is also very pretty.

This was basically the end of our trip to Scotland. We spent two nights here. It's a place to sleep and a place to shower. Squeaky elevator sounds like it might come down any day. Squeaky bed with a weird crack in the middle. Cracked mirror in the bathroom. Loose tiles in bathroom. Fixed patch on the wall where someone might have punched it. Needs a coat of paint. Just well worn overall. Like I said, it was a place to sleep and shower. Friendly staff gave us vouchers for parking, so there's that and with so many great restaurants around, we didn't eat here at all. Good luck.

At the centre, — good. Parking in the car park — discount in the hotel. Room a bit small, but OK. Breakfast mediocre.

Hotel rooms were dirty, holes in doors, TV from the 60's I really didn't like this place and would heavily advice not to stay here.

What a gem beautiful hotel, great room fabulous food. Staff friendly. I would stay here again as it is central reasonable priced.

Friendly staff, good bar/reception area and excellent breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable if a little tired looking in places. Location is excellent, just opposite the train station and within easy walking distance of the centre. Price was very competitive too. Would definitely recommend!

The Hotel is right next to central station, it needs some tic in maintenance, however the staff are so friendly, polite & professional it makes your stay in Glasgow more enjoyable, not to mention the fantastic ambiance in the bar & the excellent food available, I will go there again.

Hotel was lovely but breakfast was the worst I have ever had went down at 9am and waited 15mins on fresh food to find that there were no eggs the mushrooms came when we were finished and the dinning room was a mess and I felt the service was poor the little food we did manage to get tasted good when we walked out the was a full dish of mushrooms and some cold beans only meant to be a full English that we paid extra for deffo not worth the money.

Its a really nice place directly across the street is the train station. The bar has tasty drinks and the staff is really friendly and open minded. Room was also good, shower and toilet clean.

Hotel not the best really to be. Honest it was not very well kept house keeping around skirting boards and bathroom edges could do with a deep clean really very basic.

Hotel is right outside Central Station, so good location but noisy, of you had a room like mine, first floor front. Rooms ok but dark and not overly well fitted out. No bedside table (where do you put your phone! ), 2 sockets didn't work and toilet seat broken. No light switch next to the bed. Nothing major until you're trying to find your way around in the dark!

The hotel is well placed next to Glasgow Central. The staff are friendly, which we've found is the norm for Glasgow. The rooms themselves are OK, just a little bit tired. It seems that they've been updated at some stage but the work is a wee bit shoddy. I tried to use the bedside sockets but found I couldn't because the bedside unit was blocking it and had been stuck to the floor so it was immovable! That aside, we had a comfortable night sleep. Would suggest fine for one night but we'd look elsewhere before using again.

We went to this hotel as there was no where to have a refreshment with our grandaughter who was underage, it was a saturday evening and glasgow was buzzing. We had a great time nice and relaxing drinks were very reasonable for a hotel! And staff really friendly and accommodating.

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The evacuation procedure wasn't followed as we were told it was a "false alarm" and to go back to bed, that didn't help us sleep with the recent happenings in London. The bathroom had been cleaned but was still covered in black mould everywhere. There were only 3 couples in the restaurant for breakfast (self service Buffett which was really good) the fresh orange had ran out and no one was around to ask for more. We had finished our food before we were even offered tea/coffee. Asked to speak to the manager before we left but the girl at reception who was also covering the bar said he couldn't be contacted and gave us a business card to call him the next day. Very disappointed and won t be back.

I don't know whether we were unlucky looking at the other reviews however room 208 was nothing short of disapointing. Fixtures on the walls were hanging off, one above the bed especially worrying. Some lights not working. Bathroom floor tiles although lovely looking were loose and crooked with gaps between them. Wall tiles very dirty and yellow in between. Sealer around bath mouldy. Plug could not be removed from sink so we had a full sink for the duration of our stay, which… was a tad annoying so we brushed our teeth into the bath. Bed was fine, cleanliness of bed area fine. Lobby downstairs looked lovely. Staff polite and helpful. We were let down by the room entirely. We were made to pay up front, which we have not experienced before, and soon found out why they might choose to do this. I would not have paid full price had we been required to pay on departure. I would choose another hotel in the future when visiting Glasgow.

I work freelance, so I pretty much live in and out of hotels. Artto isn't bad — the staff are really, really nice and extremely helpful. However… I arrived with a busted shoulder and about 40kg of tools and personal effects to find that the lift was broken. No problem, Is there a service lift? No. Can I get a room on the first floor? No, we can only put you on the 4th floor. I left my tools in their holding space, which was greatly appreciated. Then, upstairs to my room. First impressions: ok. The wall light fitting had been broken for a while, but the glass was holding well-enough. I can live with that. Great pressure in the tiny bathroom sink, good stuff. Now to the ultimate test; the shower. Oh dear. No. Please God, no… Have you ever worked like a mule for 16 hours straight and sweated a solid litre in the process? If you have, or even if you haven't, then you'll know that you want at least a half-decent shower to get you set for the next day of the same. What I got when I turned the shower to full power was a LOT of leakage at the hose fitting, and barely a trickle at the shower head. Upon fixing the leak (tools for all occasions) there was no discernible improvement in pressure — My shower was just a trickle of water. I feel bad for the staff — they are great. The owners, however, need to spend some money. Now.

Lovely hotel practically in the heart of Glasgow with great staff. Make sure to try out the Indian restaurant.

Don't book a single room — otherwise great.

Had been reading lots of bad reviews of the hotel so was very hesitant about staying her but seeing that I was on a budget I decided that I had to make up my own mind about the place. I found the room standards to be quite OK, large comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The bathroom could do with a good cleaning, especially around the bathtub and the toilet in our room should have been looked over by a plumber since there was problems with the flushing. Also there was a 3 cm gap at the bottom of our door so we felt that we did not have complete privacy since you could hear what was happening in the hall very easy. But all of this is in my opinion hazels since our overall stay at the hotel was nice. The people that worked there was nice and the service was good. The breakfast on the other hand that they served there was in my opinion not good and not worth the extra money for the continental breakfast, use the 6£ that they charge to buy a decent breakfast elsewhere. The hotel is cheap, the staff is nice, the service is good, the location is excellent since you all the sites nearby. The room standards are decent enough considering the price and I am sure that you will enjoy your stay. I would recommend this to my friends and I would not think twice about staying at the hotel.
