The service at the reception is very poor.

Everything was perfect for our stay, from initial booking, customer service over email and telephone pre stay, From arrival to the time we left reception, concierge, every single staff member goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful! Lovely rooms, therapists in the spa are exceptional. The spa itself we have yet to find one that comes anywhere close to it. This is a firm favourite, we have been before and will definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cocktail bar — Parisian Jeff is amazing at mixing it up — had some super tasty Dirty Martinis and lovely staff — recommended the oysters… I had them 3 ways … first time ever for oysters on coals. So warm but all delicious. Taste of the sea. Great design super luxurious but as always it’s the staff that make a place so keep it up! You ROCK 🤘🏼

We Got married here on 5/5/22 and just wow! From our initial booking and dealings with Louise everything was great! The day of the wedding they made sure everything ran smoothly and both Louise & Drew were amazing! Our guests loved every minute as did we! Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of booking their wedding here (or even just for an overnight cause the rooms and the spa are amazing, not to mention the food 🤤! ) thanks again to all at the hotel and we will definetly be back! 💜

Absolutely TOP NOTCH. Stay here & you will be happy! Food is exquisite. Dinners & drinks absolutely amazing. Perfect rooms, service, hotel dog is friendly, charge your car out front. Such a FRIENDLY & Professional staff, never stayed anywhere with this level of thoughtfulness to every guest & every detail. So sad, pool is being repaired, but these things take time in a historic building. They will unlock gate, for a stroll in their garden, across the street. Easy walk to downtown & Hop on Hop off Bus in George's Square.

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Blythswood Hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond our expectations. Special mention to Jeff in bar for his great service and cocktails and Jack for sourcing champagne. Breakfast at the hotel really good, buffet selection fantastic and cooked dishes really nice.

Nice spa and very helpful staff only say its a not got beer on draught but can't fault it very good establishment x.

Beautiful hotel, stunning decor, awesome spa and friendly staff. The breakfast too was great and it was amazing value for money. The staff couldn’t help us enough and a great complimentary mini bar too with gorgeous room.

This is our second visit to the Blythswood Square Hotel and it remains my favourite hotel anywhere. You are made to feel very special the moment you walk up those steps to the time you check out. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and it’s a little piece or luxury right here in Glasgow. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough!

Came today with my husband for a spa day the staff are very friendly and helpful, there customer service is great, we both had a lovely day and will defo be back I got the afternoon tea and I'm fussy but nothing was a hassle with any of the staff, thank you for a lovely day.

Amazing food, Esme was really attentive and very personable.

Staying for 1 night for my boyfriends birthday room is amazing staff are also so lovely and friendly they also left a we surprise for my boyfriend in the room and he got birthday wishes of the reception would highly recommend ❤️

I have been trying for 10 days to book afternoon tea at this hotel. My daughter has bought and paid for this but I can get no response to my request. Unbelievably bad customer service.

I will never go back to this place… faulty towers. Used to be excellent. Now 3rd class… three stars. Bad service. Bad food… over priced. It's a pity.

Wow! What a wonderful stay we’ve enjoyed in this beautiful location. The room has everything we found hope for, the spa was out if this world and both dinner and breakfast were perfection. The square deal was great value for all it included. We highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with quality of food and service when I visited in June. When I emailed to complain I waited 2 weeks for a reply. I was asked to reply to the email in order to book for my next visit to ensure best service possible. I emailed to book a table in July and still awaiting a reply. Not five star customer service for a five star hotel.

Everything, it’s amazing. I really recommend this as its family friendly and have amazing staff who work around you, everyone is so friendly and kind.

Amazing stay at the Kimpton. The staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we were looked after and happy. A special thank you to Colin for looking after us and making us feel welcome and special. The room upgrade was amazing and the food was was lovely. Loved social hour between 5 and 6pm and the hotel has every measure in place to make you feel safe.
We will definitely be back again soon.

Absolutely loved it here. The staff couldn’t do enough, so friendly and helpful. The thermal experience and spa was unreal! One of the best we’ve been to and our room was stunning! The little touches like our text message when we settled into our room checking if we needed anything and our bottles of water for the spa and taking home made the experience extra different from the rest. We will most definitely be back!

Felt very welcome and catered for the moment I walked in. Young blonde girl Lucy didn’t leave us a moment waiting for a drink. Excellent service!

Went in for a couple of drinks with 2 other couples before we went round the corner to another restaurant the service was very slow they took our order then we had to wait 20 minutes before it turned up. But were asked bye 4 different staff had we ordered. Service very slow will go elsewhere next time.

I spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel with my niece. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Massage amazing and all other facilities. I will definitely be back. Food was lovely.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last week for a few days to get away for my 30th. On arriving the staff were so welcoming. Little did I know my boyfriend had everything organised to propose to me, and he said the staff were amazing at assisting him with this and ensuring everything was in place. The hotel was beautiful, room was immaculate, spa was amazing and we could not fault anything during our stay.
We would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be returning in the future. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

I have been to the hotel for lunch, afternoon tea and to a spa day and each time I loved it. Absolutely the best afternoon tea to date. On Thursday a group of us, all retired, went for lunch and drinks. The food was perfect, as was the service. After lunch we went upstairs where a table was ready for us in the bar to have drinks. Altogether a really lovely experience. Thank you.

My husband and I went earlier today for afternoon tea. I’ve been a number of times over the last few years and although it’s probably one of the nicest and tastiest afternoon teas in Glasgow, the service of late is sadly letting it down! It looked like the place was full today of large parties for afternoon tea — food was still lovely and tasty but service was slow and for a busy afternoon, I only saw about 3 staff serving at any one time. When I went last month, we got our glass of champagne on arrival at the table but then no one came back to our table for about 40 minutes and I had to ask what was happening before our tea order was taken and afternoon tea order organised!

Staff are very helpful and warm. Newly renovated. Very strong smell in the corridor and in the rooms. Pillows and quilts leak feathers, big no no for sensitive and allergic people. The facade of the building is beautiful, showing 3 stories above ground. But inside there are 5 stories. It seems like the building has been gutted and a new 5-story building is hiding behind the grand 3 story facades. Therefore the ceiling height is only a bit more than 8 feet. The shower head of the tub is not working. The toilet and shower stand are both very small. The door to bathroom cannot be closed fully. The sliding door of the toilet does not move smoothly.

My wife and I stayed overnight at this hotel in August. It is convenient for all the normal amenities in Glasgow. Merchant City, George Square, Buchanan Street and Central Station are all within easy walking distance. Our room was very well presented, quiet and clean. For whatever reason we could not connect to the hotel Wi-Fi network which normally provides free access. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. It is a top class hotel with prices to match but great for a special stay.

We had a lovely stay here. But the elevators weren’t working when we stayed so we had to walk pretty far and up a bunch of stairs to get to our room, which was really annoying. Because of this inconvenience, we decided to upgrade to their suite on the second floor and it was the biggest room we had on our UK trip. Pros: -The service was friendly. -The bed was comfy. -Convenient location, with lots of bars nearby. -Reasonably priced. Cons: -The shower in our room kept leaking. -One of the cooling systems in the room didn’t work, so it felt a little sticky. -Elevators didn’t work.

Had high tea in the Salon Bar — It was lovely. Staff are so nice and attentive, without being overbearing. Totally recommend.

Loved the super cool atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. The drinks and cocktails were great and had a really good wine list. Nice for people watching however the building looked like it could do with a bit of love and attention. Floors were scratched, walls showed wear and tear in the bar. Not what I would expect for a 4* but honestly you wouldn't normally notice in the evening. The garden looked lovely and good for photos for weddings. Still worth dropping in for a drink.

Only visited the restaurant but the staff were excellent throughout. Food was sublime and great atmosphere. Lovely touch by the Manager Daryl coming over to touch our table. All in all a great meal. Will have to come and stay for the full experience. Thanks again.

The best venison loin I have ever eaten followed by a pinenut parfait which was so beautifully complex I could barely comprehend it all. Staff wonderful, hotel beautiful ans as close to faultless as I've found. Will be back…

My daughter treated me to a lovely meal for my birthday last weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From the initial welcome to great customer service from professional staff the whole experience was exceptional. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the bubbles and birthday sweet platter.

Fine relaxed dining. Modern feel. Chicken schnitzel was yummy with creamed mash. Reasonable prices. Relaxed but attentive service.

I was there for a work meeting and function. Excellent food and good service from the staff. Beautiful surroundings in the hotel also with an excellent cinema facility.

Had lovely dinner in the this beautiful hotel! Lovely staff too! But. I bought gift voucher for wedding gift only problem it was bent slightly in post obviously! Nice voucher with message I asked for but no brochure included!

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. The staff were lovely, very attentive and always wat hful. My only reason not giving 5 stars is I asked for my fillet steak Medium but it came Well. It was still tasty but too well for me as I love a bit of red meat. Sorry.

Normally going to the Blythswood is such a treat … the main area restaurant offers amazing food and service.
Yesterday, we experienced the Afternoon Tea service and I was extremely disappointed … the menu was explained and all seemed well … we got some water but never asked if we wanted any other drinks whilst waiting on the afternoon tea … so we waited … and waited … and waited … then the food arrived … and another wait for the ordered teas … all we can say is — thank goodness for the water!

Beautiful meal, beautiful hotel, nice staff, very tasty food and great value for money. Recommended.

Absolutely unreal hotel. Cannot fault from the minute we arrived all staff are so welcoming and a man who worked there even drove my boyfriends car away to a private car park. Staff then took our bags and escorted us to our hotel room and showed us about, the room was to die for. Massive bed, massive room, fridge full with juice and alcohol and water, then tea coffee and sweets. Open bathroom. The bathroom was amazing. I had a full body massage it was out of this world, the spa is wonderful also so many facilities. Highly recommended.

Brilliant! Took advantage of a special offer on an overnight stay and access to the spa. Lovely place and lovely people, all the staff are very friendly and helpful and certainly seem to enjoy working there. The city centre is a 5 minute walk but the hotel is very relaxing.

We ate here last night on a two for one offer on a three course Christmas dinner. The menu consisted of four choices for each course including a traditional turkey main course. For what we paid we were very pleasantly surprised by this fine dining experience and would highly recommend the experience. We were lucky enough to be seated at a table with separate chairs as opposed to those that incorporate the couches. I imagine that those can become uncomfortable after a while, not having anything to lean back on. The carafe of Merlot was passable but I am still awarding five stars thanks to the welcoming and attentive staff.

My wife and I went here for afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very nice. The hotel is beautiful and we said we would be happy to go back some other time and stay overnight. The only small complain was that some of the staff had to be asked twice for our order but not really a big deal. Still good enough to recommend.

Was here for a spa day and drinks. The spa is great and the treatments were excellent. Still a bit of noise from the renovations, but not as bad as it was in August. Cocktails were superb if a tad pricey. The staff are always smiling and happy to help with any queries.

Lovely deluxe hotel with comfortable cozy rooms. Great bar with good Scotch selection. However the bar restaurant was disappointing, waited forever for our mediocre meal.

Viewed the venue for a potential wedding location. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very professional. The venue itself is stunning and the bedrooms are also lovely.

Blythswood is my go-to place for a well deserved treat. The staff are always incredibly attentive and nothing is too much bother. Rooms are generously sized with comfortable beds and touches of luxury at every turn. The food and drink is absolutely wonderful and of a premium quality. The spa is atmospheric to every sense, with lots of choice and beautiful. The therapists and treatments I have had there never disappoint and it seems that they choose their staff very well. Blythswood is the jewel in Glasgow's crown, a 5 star experience and a dream to be there. Love the place, change nothing!

Attended the spa and had an excellent massage. The spa is brilliant, such a relaxing atmosphere. Had drinks in the bar after, staff where excellent. Only complaint was the spa changing rooms are far too hot, which takes away from the experience.

We were trying the Blythswood out for dinner using a voucher. Staff were really friendly and the service was exceptional. We weren't treated any differently because we has a voucher. The food was delicious and staff knew the menu well and were able to advise on gluten free items. I would definitely recommend the Blythswood, lovely food and the ambience and service were really nice.

Just in for drinks, but exceptional service and very friendly staff. Cocktails were not sizable, but excellent quality and surprisingly reasonable price. Definitely intend returning. Lovely place to look out over Blythswood Square on a Sunny day.

Walked by this place so. Many times but first time going in. Was there for a large group meal and had the market menu. Fantastic value and great service from the staff. Modified the menu happily for people with allergies. Food was great standard and beautifully presented. After the meal we went for a few drinks in the bar. Great cocktail selection and whisky to suit all tastes. Loved the dalmore 15 year old. Will be back again for a special occasion.

Beautiful location in the heart of Glasgow that was perfectly suited to the PR event I attended. The décor was lovely and the staff were very courteous, helpful and polite and delivered first class customer service. Could not have asked for better.

The hotel was very lovely we came here for our anniversary the rooms was nice and upto date and the food was nice. The thermal experience was really good the only downside to the hotel would be the parking three pounds an hour which to me was a rip off all in all very good would highly recommend.

This is the ONLY place you should consider when traveling to Glasgow. The rooms are marvelous and large. The staff are outstanding and location is ideal. A truly fantastic boutique hotel. Remember to ask for a higher floor for a better view of the city.

This big, beautiful hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from the Glasgow Queen Street train station. And is easy to find in the complicated city of Glasgow. The reception staff were excellent and showed me to my room, which was great and spacious with a luxurious marble bathroom. The food we had was amazing and the service, even better. The spa and breakfast the next morning (included) was the cherry on top of a fantastic experience of Glasgow. Would recommend to all. Fabulous.

Always love visiting the spa, was a bit disappointed in the condition of it at present, tiles off and lying about in the steam room, the taps on the hydropool don't work. The jacuzzi and quiet pool don't have multicoloured changing lights anymore etc. But still enjoyed myself.

I've been to Blythswood for afternoon tea, lunch and visited their spa. The afternoon tea was disappointing but this was in their early days so hopefully it's sorted out now. The lucnh was outstanding, the pork belly was perfectly cooked and dessert was a most unusual avocado sorbert with chocolate soil. The spa was relaxing although I asked for the massage to be a bit harder and the gil carried on with the same pressure. You also didn't get use of the pool etc even though we were each spending 80 pounds on a massage. Quite stingy as at every other luxery spa I've been to they give you access to this if you're spending a lot of money on treatments.

I stayed at Blythswood Square for our wedding anniverary and have to say that it was truly excellent — — the staff were all very friendly and helpful, dinner in the restaurant was great (best steak I've had in ages! ), breakfast was also excellent. Highlight has to be the spa though, which was just fantastic and so relaxing.

Booked a suite for a few nights over the new year. The room was great, service and the spa is amazing! But the new year entertainment was a massive let down as the hotel did not prioritise staying guests which meant that there was no space at the bar to watch the jazz. I was very disappointed to be turned away by the bar manager considering I'd booked a table and the money I'd spent at the hotel. Breakfast was also nothing to write home about.

Amazing rooms, lovely food and staff were above and beyond attentive and helpful. The spa and the treatments are the best I've had and this entire hotel has a very relaxing environment in the city centre.
