Lovely hotel, brilliant staff.
Wouldn't stop anywhere else in Glasgow.

An absolute Gem, 2 mins walk from Central Station, very very comfortable, extremely friendly and great value. Try it, you will be very happy you did.

What a wonderful Hotel we were staying there for a family wedding over 20 of us we received a warm welcome when we arrived tea coffee and beautiful cup cakes and delicious ice cream were supplied and told just to help ourselves, we had the use of kitchen and sitting room to mingle and had a lovely cooked breakfast. The staff were wonderful so helpful rooms were spotless beds comfy will use this Hotel again.

What an amazing hotel — lovely staff, stylish rooms, fab breakfast, great shower and right next to Central Station. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely stay here again — especially as I didn’t try the free ice cream this time!

Lovely hideaway 6 flights off of busy thoroughfare near the Central Station.

The staff at the Grasshoppers make the place. They are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. The food is great and the little extras like home made ice cream and cake are 'the icing on the cake'. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I'll definitely stay again, my only choice in Glasgow, felt at home, much better than those big name hotel. Great location, clean and quiet! Love the decorations, there were complimentary cakes and cookies during my stay, breakfast including in my single room fare, basic but you got everything! Second stay : just found out the free ice cream! Yummy! Location : from Glasgow central station, Find Union Street exit which close to Burger king, turn right then you'll see a small hotel sign, open the door, go to 6F for check in.

Grasshoppers is brilliant. Great location. Fresh, modern and clean PLUS free ice-cream for guests! Room was fine but small so thankfully the communal area is comfortable and welcoming. Staff are very friendly and service was excellent.

Some lovely details. Cupcakes and homemade ice cream. Yet our "large double "was small, we had issues with heating the shower more difficult to get in and out. Like I said though some lovely touches. Staff friendly and breakfast fresh.

This is a very nice hotel and a real find in the centre of Glasgow. The street it's on is not that attractive, and the hotel entrance tucked between a cobblers and charity shop, but the location right next to Central Station and a short walk to decent shopping and public transport is ideal. But it is what's inside that sets it apart — contemporary bedrooms, a guest lounge, breakfast included in the price — and if that is not enough cakes and ice cream whenever you want at no charge! The staff are friendly and as it's on the 6th floor it is very quiet. I'll stay there again.

I loved this hotel! The room was was very comfortable, furnished in a modern, sleek way, and the amenities were extra special. In addition to teas and coffee in room I was greeted with a packet of Smarties which was a nice little surprise. The hotel offers free cakes and ice cream and provides a friendly sitting room for people to gather and chat. I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice quaint little hotel nicely hidden in Glasgow City centre right behind Glasgow Central station next to the side exit. Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are compact but very classy with nice little touches. Free cupcakes and freshly made ice cream available. Kitchen is small but very homely and feels like home and tasty little breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend as well. Also you can park at a nearby carpark overnight and they will give you a ticket to reduce the charge to £8 from £17. The car park is only a short walk from the hotel.

Travelling home from London to Glasgow I soon realised that I would be unable to make it home due to the weather so, I called to check for availability & was told that there was. I made my way to the hotel (blink & you'll miss it), got the lift to the 6th floor & was surprised to find such a smart & bejoux hotel. Clean, smart & classy. Great location & even though it's city centre… it's very quiet ☺ Homemade ice cream for guests. They can't do enough for you. I will most definitely stay here again.

Interesting concept having a floor in an office building. Good for taking a train. Rooms vary considerably in size. Breakfast extra.

Excellent little hotel. Fantastic location. Comfortable bed, excellent shower and my room was wonderfully spacious for a single room. Would use this hotel again especially if travelling via Central station.

The rooms are small but comfortable, the Scots are very friendly, but I don't think the b'fast is complimentary. But overall the location is ideal, it's near EVERYTHING and very convenient.

Great hotel beside Glasgow central station. All rooms on 6th floor, beautiful decor and friendly staff. Little touches such as fairy cakes, home made Ice cream all free for guests. Would definitely recommend, can't wait to come back!

What a lovely hotel! Right in the centre of town but no noise at all from the road or station as it's on the sixth floor. Very relaxed atmosphere, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and food was excellent! The staff were very friendly but professional and couldn't do enough to make our stay exceptional. Thank you to you all. Cakes were scrummy and very welcome after a busy day sight seeing.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Glasgow. You could not find a hotel closer to Central station while being quiet and cosy. "Home away from home" atmosphere and delicious food options too.

I stayed at the Grasshoppers hotel May 3rd, I had flown into Glasgow from Vancouver. It was too easy to get the 500 express from the airport to the hotel. I had read the reviews before booking and I have to say the stay exceeded my expectations, the location is great for travelers. The staff were very nice, clean rooms, great decor, high ceilings, the hotel is on the sixth floor, great views of Glasgow, I still remember the sun setting and thinking what a great location. The noise was not a problem from the outside, you can hear people in the hallways but it was very brief. I loved the free ice cream, muffins, and cookies, it makes all the difference when you need something just to tide you over. I definitely would recommend this hotel, great staff, location and reasonable price.

Just back from a tremendous overnight at The Grasshoppers Hotel. A real hidden gem in the heart of Glasgow with amazing views of the iconic Glasgow Central Station glass roof and Glasgow skyline. We were given a warm welcome by the Receptionist and given a small tour of the hotel. We were offered cupcakes and made aware of the unlimited homemade ice cream. We were shown to our room where I was wished a 'Happy Birthday' and given a homemade chocolate cake and a birthday card — a real nice touch which was really appreciated. The room was of a high standard, clean and modern. We were brought fresh milk to have a coffee before heading off out.
A superb hotel and I would definitely stay again. 5* stay.

Great Hotel in a central location. The rooms are clean and well equipped (free bottled water, smarties, your own French press + electric kettle that you can get freshly ground coffee for at any hour). You also get delicious, free muffins or cake whenever your heart desires. The staff is friendly and breakfast is good. The only complaint I have is that the walls are a bit thin and because the doors are heavy you will hear them slam occasionally.

This is the best hotel in the centre of Glasgow. Lovely rooms, very friendly staff, great breakfast and as many cupcakes you can eat. I highly recommend it as your base.

This is the second time staying at the Grasshopper Hotel. It is located in the city centre. About 30 seconds walk from Glasgow Central Station (Right hand side exit). It's approximately 10-15 minutes drive from Glasgow airport. The entrance isn't very obvious, but it's easy to find if you know where to look. It is situated on the 6th floor of Caledonian House. The hotel has 24 hour reception. The rooms are very spacious. My particular room this time is facing the glass roof of the train station. There is a small dining room for breakfast and supper. This hotel emphasises on the feeling of being at home. It is homely, friendly and very warm, warm as in inviting and not in temperature. The food is locally sourced also. I can't fault this hotel and I'd stay here again.

The room is clean, and tidy, the bottled water and smarties is a welcome treat. The cakes in the corridor are a pleasant bonus. Great location, very Central. The Staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Will definitely come back again.

Conveniently located over the station on the 6 th floor you get a little nose from the station announcements but little street noise. The rooms are compact and modern, the staff friendly. Lovely touch of free home-made ice cream, cookies and cup cakes. Recommended.

Fantastic hotel, yes has great rooms, great location, great rates but best of all has fantastic staff who make your stay one to remember for the right reasons.

Comfortable place to stay.

Great hotel in a brilliant location. You enter the hotel off busy Union Street and take a lift up to the reception where you are greeted by the incredibly friendly staff and shown to your room. The rooms are beautiful and modern with gorgeously fluffy duvets and pillows — I would recommend asking for a room that faces Central Station as I can imagine the ones that face Union St would be a bit noisy. We slept through breakfast but were kindly offered a 'to-go' bag which I thought was a great touch. Great value too with discounted parking.

Amazing place very good customer service.

Attached to the Central Rail Terminal for Glasgow, this is an old hotel. Well maintained, some of the rooms are huge, others average. OK value for the rate, in need of new carpets here and there. Excellent location, OK staff.
