Good hotel. Rooms are very small. I recommend an upgrade which is around 15£. It is in a great location and the staff is very supportive and nice. The hotel is in good shape.

Good hotel, excellent location, great staff. But the photos on their website were taken with a wide angle lens. The was an executive king and was neat but small. We accept that European hotels are smaller than what we are used to but just felt annoyed that the pics didn't match reality.

We couldn't have picked a better located hotel for everything we wanted to do during our 1st day stay in London. The price was fantastic. Beautiful decor. Lovely clean rooms. A little cramped at breakfast but worth the wait. The staff were welcoming and a friendly bar to finish the day off. Just perfect!

The location of the hotel is very convenient Excellent breakfast and helpful and polite staff.

Great place, you can include English breakfast for 15lb, great rooms with bath and great service.

A few steps from the metro station, the room is spacious and well equipped.

Great hotel bang on the centre. Good helpful staff. Excellent buffet and table service breakfast. Well worth considering if visiting London. Two minutes from Glouster Road tube. Ten minutes walk to Natural History and V &A museums.

Extremely polite and nice ladies on reception, ready to offer more and better if they have such opportunity. Cozy room for one person, but not really comfy doorways to the room. 9.9/10

I delivered a lecture at a event here. Conveniently located 2 minutes away from Gloucester Station. Easy to find and well placed. The ladies at reception were hospitable, smiled and helful. Guided me to the meeting room and the setup was great. The venue was pleasing and I would use again. I didn't stay overnight or experience the bar/restaurant so cant comment on that — hence I have provided 4 stars.

Outstanding boutique hotel. Service was above and beyond, all staff was attentive. Our visit was perfect in every regard. Rooms were flawless for a City stay, all amenities we're top drawer. We will certainly make this a first choice next time we need to stay in London.

Not bad. Check in was painless. Someone had set the room temperature to 27 degrees so needed to open a window and set the air con to make it more comfortable. No room service available but that’s a first world problem. Good location, clean, friendly staff. Hassle free. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel. Slightly broken shower head but still worked and the staff were very pleasant. Great location next to the tube. Would recommend.

So far so good. Pleasant room and staff contact though minimal has been good. Would say that the iron in the room was terrible and leaked all over my clothes but I will report this. Location is perfect very near the tube and opposite a lovely looking church. Lots of restaurants around and a waitrose.

The room was pretty small but very clean. The staff was friendly. It is in a great location very close to tons of shops and restaurants. I would stay there again.

Very reasonable rates compared to other hotels. Underground station across from hotel for easy transport to tourist areas. Excellent service.

Overall we had a good experience at the Rydges Kensington. The location was fantastic with easy access to the train station and restaurants and shopping. The front desk were quite helpful. Zoe at the front desk went out of her way to help us and we appreciated that. Brie was very cheerful and answered our queries. The place for much improvement is the breakfast buffet. We were surprised at the sparse food options and due to the limited waitstaff (1 waiter) for the busy breakfast time, food items took forever to be replenished and sometimes never did which was very annoying given that we had paid extra to have breakfast included in our package. The rooms were small but comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries.

Beautiful hotel to stay when visiting London. It is within walking distance to the metro station. It is less than 15 minutes to Westminster Station by train. Surrounded by many restaurant serving different kinds of food. Rooms are small but clean and honestly if you are visiting London you don't want to spend a lot of time in your room. I would stay at this hotel if I ever visit London again.

The hotel is nicely decorated, clean and staff are professional and friendly. Rooms are comfortable. Great location, close to public transport (underground) and restaurants. Breakfast is lovely. The only down side is the Jam Cupboard Restuarant, it was quite expensive for the food that was served. Service wasn't very good when we went either, very slow despite the restaurant being almost empty. We stay at the Rydges regularly and enjoy it, however there are plenty of other restaurants around for your evening meal.

Very personable staff in a great location that allows for easy manovablity throughout Londons many attractions. Most comfortable room with great service provided by staff. Restaurant provided good food though only two people on that evening.

A good Hotel in general but is aging in facilities and needs a good spruce up, especially the lift. Niggling things went wrong but the location is very good so you have to put up with higher prices. Staff were VERY good with lots of help to us which we very much appreciated.

The location of the hotel is super. Only 1-2 minutes walk to U-Bahn-Station Glucesterroad. From there it is only 3 stops to Victoria Station. The staff is very friendly and the Hotel is its star value. Overall, however, it is nothing for the small purse.

We stayed at Rydges for 2 nights whilst attending a Royal Albert Hall concert (easy walking distance) Located near The Tube & local shops & close to the Kensington museums. Our executive room was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed & was facing the Road. Double glazing reduced the traffic noise. Bathroom (shower only) was a bit small but adequate. Continental Breakfast had a good selection & was well presented. Waiting & other staff were polite & helpful. Overall quite good value for money for a London Hotel.

Good sized room for London, for this price category. Everything worked. Good internet. Very effective in-room air conditioning controls. Excellent bathroom fixtures. Front desk personnel very polite and efficient. Annoyances: 1. Coffee machine awkward to use 2.2 bedsw pushed together to make a double had uneven mattresses (one lower than the other or, actually, in need of replacement). Made this into a single-bed experience.

Central location, down the road from the museums, royal Albert hall and Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Really nice staff too.

Great location near tube station, loved exploring residential neighborhood with boutique commercial establishments and some good restaurants nearby. 4-star, great staff, large room, affordable price. The only suggestion to improve it: Replacement of the carpet in the room is overdue!

My wife and I stayed at the Rydges from the 5.8.15 for 5 days in room 307 and was very happy with the room and staff very polite, very helpfull and I would stay there again when travelling to london.

Good drinks, but then decided to share a platter between us which was the fundamental error — sad little canapes (a total of 6 mouthfuls, which was supposed to food 2 people) which looked like they were frozen and had just been left out to thaw. However, we were undeterred and asked for two burgers. From there things picked up — waitress became friendlier and more chatty, and the burgers we got were fat, satisfying and came with a mini-frying-basketful of crispy, light chips. Not the best atmosphere I've ever encountered, I think everyone else were late check-ins of the hotel.

Nice hotel with good location. The double room hade a good size and nice bathroom. The internet should be free though.

The only problem I have with hotel is the Internet connection. Why do hotels not know how to get this right? The fact that they advertise high speed Internet connections and then provide a connection that is slower than a dial up modem should be illegal. I don't always need a fast connection, but when travelling for work, it's a must and any hotel that advertises high speed Internet should be obligated to provide such a service.

Excellent travel experience. Perfect location, beautiful room for an exceptionally good price (in London terms), friendly, helpful and unfailingly courteous staff.

May 2009: I am an ex-Londoner. Ignore all the bad reviews, this hotel is great. Not expensive for London! For 30th wedding anniversary of an old friend down the road, this was perfectly situated. And next to the French Lycee, where I did all my schooling. And at least 3 museums for hubby to visit. Looked over-posh from photos and dreadful from reviews, so I wondered. Huge marble entrance hall, very welcoming Aussie staff, so understanding of my slight handicap and need to smoke! Consists of just two old Victorian houses, looks like the whole row in the photo. Yes, rooms are small, but nicely decorated, with all mod-cons. Had a view over the back, lovely multi-coloured mews. One night on 2nd floor, then when chatting about smoking, we were told we could on the 3rd floor and they would even move us. 24hour room service too, amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
