The duty manager, Laura could not do more for me. I alerted the hotel of my needs prior to my stay; upon arrival the manager instantly and very sensitively informed me of the room I would be staying in. It accommodated everything that I needed, and I ensured I thanked her for this! Thank you so much Laura!

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Kimberley and Laura checked me in yesterday and were so lovely and helpful. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and I will definitely be back.

Located in a very nice area, easy walking distance to Kensington High Street, Natural History, V & A, and Science Museums and Royal Albert Hall. Plus good public transport connections. Loved the history and period elegance of the house. Our Executive double room was spacious and it was nice to have a 'living area' with a sofa. Nice toiletries too. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a few drinks in the comfortable lounge bar which had a nice mellow ambiance (and not overpriced). And breakfast offered lots of choice. In all, an excellent visit and we would certainly stay again.

Rooms tall and comfortable. Clean and room service very friendly. Standard breakfast for a 4-star improveable. An extra smile in the morning in addition to kindness would not hurt the waitresses of the room.

Really nice, clean rooms in one of the best locations for visiting West London, particularly the museums. Lovely traditional but we'll looked after decor. Friendly staff and management. Not best for parking, use the Holiday Inn across the road.

Nice hotel in an elegant area of London. Well served by the Gloucester road stop subway. Clean, spacious and well sounded room. Comfortable beds and sets yourself in the room. We just stayed overnight breakfast we didn't try it. I recommend it is I'll be back.

The hotel is strategically located near glocester road tube station and bus station and imperial college. However, the room is so small that make you won't be comfortable to stay inside the room. The absence of air con in the room makes it worse in the hot and humid summer. Ask the staff for a room in the lower floor, perhaps it will be little bit cooler.

Staff do their best to accommodate clients. The food was good. Very clean and quiet. 24 hour room service, although there is not much to choose from overnight. No air-conditioning in the rooms, but I did ask staff for a fan, and they came to my door within a few minutes with one for me. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Do not stay here if the outside temperature is above 65f. The windows only open a few inches and you will suffocate in the heat! There is no AC and no room ventilation. The 1st night we found a clogged up tub and sink drain. (the maid should have reported it if she cleaned before releasing us the room! ) We reported it the following morning. It took until 11PM for the plumber to fix! We had to sit in the lounge all evening waiting for it to get fixed. Those photos of the standard room show a nice bed but that’s also the width of the room with about 1.5 feet to the walls. The bathroom from door to tub is 28 inches! Staff are nice and breakfast is not bad. Location close to museums and tube and there are great little restaurants and pubs nearby — these are the best reasons to stay here. We were miserable all 4 nights trying to sleep in a heat wave in a tiny hot box.

Centrally located to the activities which I had planned. Service is excellent and continental breakfast in the traditional British style is decent. Double sized room somewhat cramped but with modern conveniences including USB charging outlets. Firm bed.

Great value! The hotel's manager resolved the booking problem, which occurred on my behalf. Location is excellent, very close to Gloucester Road tube station, supermarkets and High Road Kensington for shopping is also not far away. Hyde Park is 15 minutes walking distance. The downside is the rooms are quite small (yet comfy), but what could be expected of an old building?

Location is fantastic — very close to Gloucester road underground which was very handy. The area overall is great too. However, the rooms are below average. We were shoved in their basement so basically zero views. Bathroom was tiny and for a 6'3" guy I had no room to move. Cleanliness was good though. Brekky was average.

Plush and airy, meeting rooms are lovely size. A little stuffy on the edges, the dining room left us walking out to experience the local eating places.

Good value for money for London. Comfortable and clean room. Great location near Harrods and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Room was a little bit small but we had a short visit so that wasn't too bad. The building is beautiful and in a great location close to museums and restaurants. Very well furnished and decorated, modern yet traditional. Helpful and friendly staff.

Quiet and clean. The room was spacious with nice linens and a very good breakfast. There is easy access to the underground and handy to 3 reknowned museums.

Very pleasant, great location if you’re attending the Albert Hall. Staff lovely and all areas clean and tidy. Booked a superior room which was tiny so god knows what a regular room would be like however fine for our one night stay. Great restaurants and cafes locally on Gloucester Road (can highly recommend coco momo) and Gloucester Road tube station is closest not South Kensington as stated on hotel website. All in all nice enough place for a night or two.

This hotel was a nice surprise, quite Victorian style, very nice place and very clean and the room service was very available and discreet.
Hotel located in west London, very well placed and close to the Metro.
Many choices of activities in the neighborhood like the Museum of Natural Stories.

The staff were soo welcoming, professional and helpful! Like anything you asked them for wasn’t a trouble at all! From the second we stepped in to the second we stepped out! The room, bedding, location, the bathroom, toiletries that were available including bath robes and slippers, everything was of top quality! Breakfast at the restaurant was amazing, set menu included with a buffet, best of both worlds! The staff at the restaurant are so well mannered, polite and helpful also. Loved every minute of staying here!

Located in a quiet street, the hotel, like many Grange hotels, looks a but tired, but it is pleasant enough. Wouldn't stay there for an entire afternoon but is good enough for a decent quick quiet drink.

Lovely old building with character. In a quiet street but only 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Also only 10 minute walk to the Royal Albert Hall. Handy for Hyde Park, V&A, science museum and natural history museum. Not really suitable for children, customers were 'mature', very quiet. Only disappointment was the size of the room, but would definitely stay here again when visiting London for the peace and quiet.

A very friendly and effective team, a nice neighbourhood. But between awful breakfasts and crampy room especially considering the price… I wouldn't advise it.

Disappointed. Tiny SUPERIOR ROOM at the top of the house. Very clean. Television did not work. Was told it was because it was old?. Bar food awful. Breakfast very good staff 50/50 friendly. Thank goodness only 2 nights…

Five stars all the way! Fantastic room, great location and awesome staff. The morning breakfast was stupendous as were staff also. We spent a week in London back in September 2017 and loved the hotel. I laugh at the fool who complained that there was no air conditioning! Seriously, I never even noticed it wasn't there! And besides, you don't need air conditioning in London. London air conditioning is called getting your @$$ up and open the window. When we go back to London this will be our place to stay at again! A&B from Los Angeles.

Very outdated, staff are slow got our food order wrong 3 times and we were the only people in the restaurant. I am sure I had Iceland frozen food.

My son and I had afternoon tea here and it was amazing! From the presentation of the table and friendly staff to there being ample to eat and a good choice of teas to choose from.
The sandwiches were of a good variety and the scones were still warm (as well as delicious with the clotted cream and jam. ) Cakes equally delicious and plentiful — in fact so much we took what we couldn't manage to eat home with us which our waitress was happy to do!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here and highly recommend.

No air conditioning, could not sleep as rooms were small and hot, got a fan sent up but that did little, staff were friendly. Would not stay here again as the room we had was really small and felt very claustaphobic. First room we had was small a window which let no air in and when we returned asked for upgrade and the room we got was smaller but had a bigger window. Disappointing.

Staff are very professional and eager to help. Wonderful decor… spacious and modern in some areas… just no fridge or toaster in the room… maybe it's not the English (European) way. In Australia most hotels / motels /resorts have that as minimum… kitchen in some!
I find it frustrating to have to ask for toast at 5am because brekky isn't on until too late for us!
Dinner was superb tonight! Continental brekky keeps me going all day! I look forward to the rest of our week here. Near enough to London for visits… far enough away from the bustling city.

I'm staying in a 3 bedroom room, and there the room is very tiny. No room to leave luggage or walk around. Tv is slow too.

Went for toastmaster event. The place is nice and welcoming. Had a great evening.

We loved this hotel. It was a strange, charismatic and so comfortable. All the staff are so professional, positive and optimistic, we can do no more. We are staying with two, they even gave us every morning on his own room to eat breakfast. So many small touches and additional surprises are included at the door waiting for breakfast, tea with mini sandwiches, amazing hot chocolate at night with candles and ice cream, depressed mood when spraying.

Wonderful especially for the prices lovely room.

The interior was beautiful, the staff were lovely and the rooms were lovely. Shower was a little small but not really a problem. Food was amazing (highly recommend the club sandwich). Overall very nice place.

Stunning room. Great location and the prices are not even that bad for West London. One of my new favourite hotels whilst on business.

Lovely indeed but not prepared to handle 2 consecutively running tour groups. I felt bad for them but also disappointed. We saw a room online with 2 beds in it and were advised by our AAA agent we would have 2 bed and we had 1. Teeny, tiny room with a 2x2 shower and nowhere to put the soap or shampoo! Breakfast was a trying time while they struggled to fix food for 80-90 people who had a timeline. They finally realized that, for Americans, the coffee needed to be available and not individually poured when you could get their attention. It's in a lovely area and convenient to the Tube, within walking distance of Hyde Park and Kensington Palace, but you must be able to move slowly, be patient, and not have any disablilites to stay there. They tried, I know they did, but it was not suited for what we needed. OH, and there appears to be NO A/C there.

Got a special offer on secret hotel for £75 a night for a twin room. Were it not for the price I would have rated this hotel three stars. The location is excellent, right near the museums, half a block from the tube station (piccadilly line). The rooms are pokey, but hey, it's London. The lift was minute and there was only one. I got what I paid for and was perfectly happy with it. For the same price I would consider staying here again.

I stayed there for 3 nights in the winter period; Only overnight.
Pros: Cleanliness is pretty good; The décor of the hotel in general is very nice, Victorian style… typical English to which we are accustomed from Italy (especially the relaxation room with bar and TV is really dreamy) ; The exterior aesthetic of the hotel is well preserved, exactly as the photos show it, also the neighborhood is all in this style: it is a nice area (clean and quite quiet) ; It is close (2 minutes walk) to the Metro (Gloucester Road stop, which allows you to access: District line (green), Circle Line (yellow) and also Piccadilly line (blue, which arrives directly from Heathrow) ), and anyway in zone 1, that is central in London; Starbucks Coffee, Tesco (mini supermarket), and Exchange office very close (right in front of the Metro stop) ; Comfortable beds; Possibility to prepare coffee and hot milk (electric kettle) in the room included in the price (No. B. I think it's free only for those who chose the option "overnight only") ; Helpful and friendly staff; Tip: Take a good stock of maps and advertisements found in the box at the entrance.
Cons: Very small room (I can only speak of mine, the 412A, room with 2 single beds, then I do not know the other…) ; Very small lift (2 people + 1 big suitcase just enter us).
