So friendly and great service! Delicious food and beverages. Great pub food and I highly recommend!

Lovely room, we had a king superior room. We were only staying for one night but it was perfect even with a bath as well as a shower,. We had a lovely lunch down in the bar with a cider and a large wine, prices may seem high to some but they are about right for a London bar, it’s what I would expect. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for someone going to An event at the Royal Albert Hall as we were as it is quite close only about 20 minute walk away or approx 8 min drive.

The fridge cooler wasn’t working, requested for towels and toiletries, my request was met with very rude member of the house keeping department I think I was also over charged for breakfast, we only ate on Sunday, I paid £60 extra. I thought breakfast was £8 each

As Holiday Inns go it is ok. Showing age and needs a bit of love really to get it to the higher levels. For location it is very good, walking distance to Gloucester Road and the local museums. The public areas are nice and open and breakfast was very good, with a large selection. The rooms are the tired bit really, although the view from the room I had was really good. Would stay here again if the price was right, but wouldn't pay over the top for a room in this hotel.

Yeah, don't give me that look. I know, I came all the way to London and stayed at a Holiday Inn, what kind of an imbecile American must I be. Well you know, it was relatively inexpensive (tough for anywhere in London), close to many of the sights I wanted to see (Harrod's, the Victoria and Albert) and half a block from a tube stop. I was able to get in and around town with little bother. Yes, the room was small but the only time I was there was to sleep so what does that matter. The staff was friendly, efficient, and the doorman even helped us out when our airport transfer was delayed.

Excellent mid budget hotel for professionals. Good food and plenty of options. Good view of the city. Taxis are available on the front gates. Good restaurants at the back gate.

The location was amazing and the staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are of average comfort and quite hard. I was disappointed with the way the bed was made… sheet put on sideways and unable to be tucked in on 2 of 4 sides… affected my sleep with its movement. There was a high level of cleanliness throughout. Great Starbucks on site.

I don't really known how to compare this hotel to others. Is London so I guess it means the hotel is okay. I guess is hard to find hotels like in the USA for a reasonable price. Is a small hotel. It seems like is old. The rooms are small, more than any hotel I have stay. But I guess for what you need it. It has what it needs. And is within walking distance to some attractions and the subway.

Fantastic location just behind the Gloucester station which makes it easily accessible via Tube or bus. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is good for the price with a suitable room size though the bathroom was a tad compact for my taste. Also, they only give you the minimum toiletries. Service is good though with extremely friendly staff for checking in and checking out.

It's a pretty good place to tell you all that architecture-ic style to say. At the first when I was passing from that side I saw the building at night and I thought well this might be one of those apartment buildings. Well then I saw the board saying 'Holiday Inn'. Then I thought wow this is a big upgrade to the Holiday Inn comparing to other countries one. Even near my house there aren't such good hotels (Residential area. ). From a scale of 1 to 10 I would like to rate it a 8 because it is definitely good but it's not like it can't get improved and even you should keep on exploring maybe you'll find a hotel that is better than this one. So that's why I rated it a 8.

Good location however the reception staff was not friendly. In the bedroom, the tray with the tea cups was not clean, chipped tea cup, spoon had seen better days. First time I have been in a hotel where I couldn't make a cup of tea. In the bathroom, the basin was cracked, the tray with bath gel wasn't clean. Outside the room, in the corner, there was a tray with dirty plates and a black bag with rubbish. Even when we checked out, no one had removed the tray. The management need to pay more attention to details.

The hotel is easy to find and although not especially pretty from the outside (compared with the other buildings around it), it's fine once inside. The staff were pleasant and helpful, they rectified the issues I raised with them quickly and successfully. The room was comfortable and for the most part clean, though some things had been missed (there were smudges on the mirror for instance and the remote was sticky and didn't work — which turned out to be because a previous occupant had pinched the batteries and replaced them with dud ones). There was a fridge, a loveseat and a safe. The bathroom was a little tight but comfortable enough. The breakfast was very good, although it was very busy the queues did move relatively quickly. They had a range of options which are served as a buffet £11.95 when I purchased it the night before — which was cheaper as a single traveller than booking the room with breakfast included).

Convenient location short walk from Gloucester Road Station. Toilet door for our room cannot be locked, not a really big issue. TV did not come with a remote control when we first checked in. The receptionist promptly arranged for one to be brought up when we highlighted it.

The location is perfect next to a tube station. And the rooms to be honest are very huge for any events like weddings and the tables are extremely big to sit 10 to 12 people… The service provided was excellent from the hospitality of the staff who are readily on hand to cater to your every need. Would recommend to any organisation to book here. The buffet style presentation of the food was remarkable and very tasty indeed …

The Hotel is perfectly located in south Kensington directly near the underground train station and the Cromwell road bus stations. It is also a stone throw away from earls cour. It's an iconic hotel in the area and is very well known. We usually come here for food and drinks which we always get great service and food.

We stayed here before we got on a cruise. Amazing staff, clean comfortable rooms. The bed was a bit too stiff for our tastes but others love a firm mattress. 1 block from the Tube station, less for the bus. Get the Oyster card on day one and use Google Maps, and you can get anywhere in short order.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room and rich breakfast buffet. Great location to walk to several attractions including the Natural history museums and the Victoria and Albert.

We are rather dissatisfied with the experience: bad reception, forty minutes waiting in the middle of the night before we can get into our room, very expensive breakfasts, we could not take breakfast for our last day at the hotel, no refund possible, £20 evaporated stupidly.
We asked for a room for two, we had two separate beds, the rooms are connected with each other by a closed door, you hear its neighbors talking and snoring at night and the TV buzzing.
Sound and thermal insulation to review and, the top, fins of ventilation that make a sound to wake the dead.
Breakfast varied and very good, opening hours quite extensive.
However, €550 for four nights in a neighborhood as upscale as that of Kensington, we can almost estimate ourselves happy with the service received.

I'm giving 4 stars mainly because the bed was very comfortable. The rest of it was 3 stars but the bed is the main need for me. The room was in need of redecoration to make it look cleaner & the bathroom was ok but the shower water pressure was a bit low. It's not the best hotel I've stayed in but it is better than others. If you want luxury or to impress then it's not for you but if you are looking for a comfortable bed whilst working or on a shopping trip etc. Then it is fine. I would stay again & I am pretty fussy.

Very small rooms. Unthinkable as a family because there is no space. They made us wait more than an hour arriving more than midnight with young children to make the extra. Good location.

Actually very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, I expected it to be very standard but the rooms are of comfortable size with good amenities. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive with yogurts, fruits, pastries but also cooked breakfast and pancakes. The wait to check in was longer than I was happy with because the hotel was completely booked and fishing rooms was hard (? ) but apart from that, I was happy with the experience.

It is an ideal place to stay, close to the centre and transport, the treatment is fantastic, always with kindness and a smile, and the attention that they need at all times. We left very happy here, from then the next time we will return to this hotel.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn for the second time. Great hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious with steak cooked perfectly. Good value for money and good location. Breakfast very good compared to others in the area. The bad thing, the hotel has charged twice the amount of the room without saying anything and now to return the extra charge is a torture. Neither they know if it was an error or if it is a charge that do nothing more to guarantee that there is balance in card, the case is that after leaving I have blocked twice the amount and not when they will return. I do not understand these charges in advance that the only thing they do is harm.

Spotless and bright. Staff all helpful and informative. Room is comfortable and warm. Fridge in room (now stocked). Close to tube station and easy access to the sights of the City. Highly recommended!

Overall, this is a pretty good hotel. Staff is friendly and usually helpful. The one issue I have had repeatedly is that it is common to receive different information about the same issue. Make sure you are clear about what you were told, note down who told you, and don't accept a later change of information. I woul have given five stars if it were not for this.

Location very close to Gloucester Road Station with 6 minutes by subway, District Line, with central London (Victoria Station).
The hotel is very correct and quiet. Regular breakfast buffet. Around the hotel there are fast-food restaurants such as KFC and Burger King. A supermarket, streets to walk quietly. The Kensington neighborhood where the hotel is located is safe and elitist.

We were only staying at the Holiday Inn for one night and spend most the day and evening out shopping. And for the price this hotel provides a large array of facilities for both leisure and business customers. The hotel room is large for the price and the location and breakfast is well priced considering the buffet that comes with it. We did not try the breakfast this time around as it wasn't included in our room rate. The bedding was comfy and enough space to place baggage and amenity storage in the bathroom to keep surfaces tidy and clean. The TV was easy enough to use but can be a little unresponsive sometimes with commands. The room was clean none the less and maybe sometime soon they could update the window system as it is a little outdated. The shower did take a a minute or so to warm up but we were 15 floors up so and the same for hot water in the tap too. These are small things though, overall I slept well and the heating/a/c was easy enough to control to make sure that it was comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay. A little far out for the shows. Difficult getting taxis back after shows, but the bus driver was very nice and waved us on without charging. The 4 hrs spent in the natural history museum was really enjoyable.

Wonderfully centralized and a short tube to every sightseeing or cultural venue. Delighted my better half with Cricket tickets for Lords. His first time at Lords my first cricket match. We celebrated in the hotel VIP bar with Champagne thankyou… Memories are made beautiful here x.

Decent price and helpful staff. The walkway into each room is TINY; as are the bathrooms. The water pressure is pretty disappointing too (lower than I've experienced elsewhere). I found a few hairs in the bathroom from a previous tenant (yuck). The bed is firm (I prefer softer mattresses). Internet speed is good. Lots of nice restaurants nearby and the tube is just down the street (easy to get into town or the airport and you can buy an oyster card at the station itself). Big grocery store just a couple blocks away (Sainsbury) if you don't want to eat out every night.

Hotel Rooms with bad heating. Bad mattress and bad pillows. At the front desk they don't answer the phone. In short… not repeat.

Rooms OK, location OK. But terrifying experience. At check in I was given twice the key of someone else's room. You have understood well I opened and twice I entered the room already occupied someone. The third time the room was free but I didn't feel safe to leave my stuff inside when I went out. At the front desk I find out that it happened to another customer at the same time.
The guy at the reception (Italian) was mortified, he offered me a drink card and points for their card (which I don't care) but I would say it's not enough to fill the disastrous experience here. Totally discouraged. Dangerous for your privacy and your belongings!

Outstanding as always! Clean rooms, clean public areas, outstanding housekeeping staff, better than average breakfast! The ONLY place I stay when on holiday in London. Just 1 block from Gloucester Rd tube station, so everything in central London is accessible within 15 minutes! The executive rooms and suites are worth the upgrade, along with the breakfast!

Location perfect: Both Subway close, as well as Hyde Park for jogging, but traffic is not quiet — with shelled windows it goes. We had a view of the city, the sun tickled us from sleep:-) The furnishings are very practical and functional (although something has come into the years), kitchenette, clothesline etc. Even a continental outlet. Concierge knew about everything we asked, British humor included;-)

The rooms are old and dated. All the furnishings except the bed have seen better days. But, believe it or not this place is still better than the way it was before. The elevator refurbishment is finally complete so it doesn't take 20mins to try to get up or down. And the hotel finally upgraded it's Wi-Fi from it's former dial up speed slowness to something you can stream videos on. Staff have always been efficient. They're not the nicest but they'll get the job done.

Though I didn't stay in the hotel personally, I spent a night there and it was comfortable. The room was cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast was unimaginable. Love it! l Love it! Love it!

The location is awesome, especially when you land at Heathrow. The rooms are very clean (except for the Windows). The décor is very old and ugly, a lot is broken and stayed. If a flat-screen TV had not hung on the wall, one could think one would have checked into the 80ies!

It was a pleasant stay, but the room was surprisingly run down. There was lime scale on the shower head too and broken fixtures. (See photos) The staff were polite. I stayed in better Holiday Inns, namely Holiday inn Alseeb.

Nice hotel, good price, very clean, but space of at a premium. Lifts were full if there was 2 people on them. I paid for an executive suit assuming that would mean I had at least enough room to swing a cat. As it turned out I struggled to walk down the side of the bed, the rooms were that small. You get what you pay for, cheap hotel in London that's modern and clean, it just has small rooms.

Location is excellent just off busy High Street Kensington and simple shuffle to the tube stop of the same name. Bar, restaurants and gym/spa are well done and spa even has a pool. Staff is exceptional! Normal rate rooms are small to a compromised point especially the bathrooms although they are nicely remodeled. The suite rooms are well appointed.

I only experienced the meetings room for a travel event. I found the waiting staff attentive, the layout of the room well organised, hot food very tasty. Around the hotel seems too busy at the concierge area and checkin area. Seemed check in staff are not as agile as Meeting rooms staff. Just a thought for a quick impression of my visit. Lobby well decorated and spacious with ground floor bar. Well located Within 3 minutes distance of trendy High Street Kensington.

A little high priced for the size of the rooms.

I got to stay here on a business trip. It was only one night, so don't have too much of an impression, but: -room was OK in size -bathroom was ok, but not completely clean (stain on towel holder, looked like toothpaste from previous guest) -sink way too small, not practical. Hardly any space for your amenities -friendly staff -good location just off the Kensington High Street and Kensington Gardens What really got on my nerves is the noise coming from the hallway. Even though I was rather at the end of a hallway, you can easily hear all the other doors closeby getting opened/closed, as well as the fire doors and people walking.

FILTHY RAT infested hotel that charged me over $300 dollars for checking in, seeing my room, the halls and immediately checking out! Staff were rude and condescending. Lobby and all photos online are incredibly deceiving. I should have read the reviews BEFORE booking online. Worst overall hotel experience ever.

Not far from High Street Kensington tube station, a very smart looking hotel with very polite welcoming staff at reception. Unfortunately the floor we stayed on was having renovations done so slightly let down the presentation. The room was clean and tidy but a little dated, had basic amenities like hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. Tried to use room service but were told there would be a wait of at least an hour so decided against the service. Breakfast was an extra cost but provided a large choice of items but again the staff were very attentive.

Beautiful hotel and cozy rooms. In a fantastic area. The shower, unfortunately, lends more to form over function. Water everywhere. Not great. And despite decor, the size of the rooms force internal amenities towards spartan. Incredibly present, polite, and attentive staff. The expensive internet situation isn't a plus. If you're here for work, plan to expense a lot. Though, despite the issues, they get everything else right. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking a great trendy place to vacation or spend a weekend. Very subway accessible.

Hotel is in an ideal location nearby Kensington High Street, but that's about the best of it. The lobby area is nice and renovated however the guest rooms are extremely small (almost unreasonably small), very dated and furnished with only the basic items (no facial tissues, wash towel or hand lotion provided). Reminds of a hostel / college dorm. The staff is polite but mostly indifferent. The bar and restaurant is nice and the staff in these areas were very kind and accommodating. Room service is available 24 hours and there is a spa and nice gym on site. Wi-Fi available for a daily charge.

The staff is extremely nice and polite. The hotel is luxurious, despite the small, but modern rooms. The bathrooms are nice, too. Plus, it is really close to the centre of the city and close to a McDonald's and an underground entrance.

It has an excellent location. Surrounded by luxurious streets with amazing cars, the neighborhood of Kensington will surprise you. It is a one minute walk from the High Street Kensington Station which connects with the line move, which allows you to move around London with ease. In addition, in the same street of the station you will find restaurants of all kinds and another variety of shops.
About hotel. The rooms are normal pulling small s. That if enough refurbished and clean. Don't expect luxuries for this price is reasonably cheap to be London.

I do not agree with any of the complainers, they are so wrong. My wife and I just had a fabulous 3 night stay. All staff were polite and helpful and we got an upgrade on check in without asking. The room and en-suite were very clean, spacious and so very quiet. We slept well. Breakfast is the best buffet breakfast that we have ever experienced. Only one slight negative observation, there are not really enough lifts for a hotel of this size and they are small and slow so allow plenty of time for the lifts or keep fit and take the stairs. Therefore we thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope we get another opportunity to stay here. Also, we had Afternoon Tea, so for the information of the person saying that it is for tourists and a poor concept, you could not be more wrong. Afternoon Tea is an English tradition and was served beautifully for us along with a glass of champagne at a very reasonable price for a London hotel.

Due to the rather poor reviews, we were excited to see the Hotel. Unfortunately, most of them have come true. Rooms are quite small and poorly lit, the mattress you can feel every spring and storage space is hardly available. From the staff, you will be treated to the part from the top down. For access to the Wi-Fi (24h) required to 9.99 £ and the Signal was in the 6th floor so bad that it hardly works (every street Wi-Fi was better). All in all, not a feel-good factor was present and not came also. Only the Breakfast and the good location are positive to be noted.

The rooms are extremely small, the Windows do not fully open, only tilt. Mini-bathroom, the toilet was only to be used "in reverse", as in a 1-Meter wide hose hidden. No shelves in the bathroom. A room to sell with a 1.4 m-wide bed as a double room, is a joke. A pure non-Smoking hotel with no Smokers Lounge in the house. In front of the Hotel, you will be turned out by the porter, if you smoke there, but not in connection with a "Please", but it is very cited unfriendly in a disposal at the supplier's input. Saturday Evenings includes the hotel bar (although very well attended) to 1 PM. It is three times asked to "pay NOW" because you want to turn off the Computer. Possibility, even a champagne cooler with ice up to the room to take with you, not at the Bar. Little helpful staff, you will be referred to for everything to the reception. Concierge is completely overwhelmed, since it is only on the busy telephone, and guests rarely responsive. Long queues in front of the reception Desk and the Concierge Counter. If you previously home to a bottle of sparkling wine and Petit Fours in the room want to order for arrival, you need to fill in the order form, hand-written sign, etc. If this does not make want to (because it is completely unusual) and asks, the order of the Directorate forward, go then at once, without order form, and even very friendly.

The first impression of the Lounge is deceptive. The rooms are quite small and again quite expensive. For the bathroom one should not be too broad. On the toilet I could only reverse. The Service is good.

Excellent place. Appropriate point for exploring London. Very nice area and staff interested in attending well to the passenger, very friendly… Our room a bit small but with all comforts. I suggest a Wi-Fi free or at least cheaper. Highly recommended hotel!

Rooms do not match the pictures on the web site. That's a LIE! Really dirty rooms with a shabby furniture, worn smelly carpets. Holes in the sheets. Cleaning of rooms disgusting! Grimly. Staff at the reception-Hama! All this was paid more than 200 pounds per room per night! Small rogues and хапуги! Do not spoil your vacation, stay at other hotels, which a great many in London. This hotel deserves the status NOCHLEZHKA.

The hotel was very good. Rooms are clean, but small, however, as almost all hotels in London. Continental Breakfast is quite possible decent Breakfast — cakes, rolls, ham, cheese, tea, coffee etc. Are Very convenient location to the underground of 2 minutes on foot, there is the bus stop. To fare better to use by bus and buy all day pass for day ticket) to get cheaper.
