Review of Brockencote Hall 4*

I took my Mum away for the weekend 17/02/18 and found this hotel on travel zoo. We had a brilliant time from the moment we arrived. The hotel grounds were lovely as we drove up to the hotel. All the staff we great apart from one but forget his name and only briefly saw him on the front desk so it didn’t ruin mine or my mums stay. The gentleman who showed us to our room was very good and helpful throughout our stay sorry forgot his name too but he was excellent. The room was big and the bathroom was stunning. Plus nice little extras like nuts in the room and homemade cordial in the fridge were an added bonus. When we went down for dinner we were greeted by gracious and well run staff who seated us in the library and asked us for our drink order and went through the 3 menu options on the day. Also has I didn’t want any mushrooms, they went through the options that contained them which was a nice touch. We were seated in the main dining room and the food was beautiful highly recommended. The beef blade was melt in your mouth. Plus the pecan pie was great. The staff all very knowledgeable and delightful too. Also the young girl who was offering us bread throughout the evening, sorry really bad with names was very good. Our sleep was very comfy too so always a good sign when staying away. The turn down service again another nice touch and excellently done. The breakfast was also another highlight great continental offering and cook breakfast offering too. The chopped fruit was delicious and the prunes my mum says were the best she had tasted. I had smoked haddock with poach eggs and this was done perfectly and my mum had a full English which was also delicious. Has we we were checking out we were offered fruit and water to take on our journey which again I thought was another nice touch and the lady behind reception was brilliant for all our stay really sorry bad with names. Next time I come back and will be definitely coming back I will remember everyone’s names lol. I have already recommended this hotel to my mother in law and my best friends mum so they will also be coming to visit at some point this year. Thanks you again and see you soon.
