Wonderful time, hosts and fooda great stay in a beautiful part of the country. Great locations near the centre of town but far enough out to be peaceful.

Richard and Paula are the perfect hosts. Great food, great accomodation and a wealth of information about Windermere and surrounding areas. No reason to stay anywhere else.

Fantastic owners Richard and Paula are brilliant. Location is really good for getting out and about. Rooms really nicely decorated we had a four poster room which was lovely. Great breakfast. Very highly recommended.

Spent 2 night in this lovely guest house on birthday occasion. Paula and Richard both very superb friendly. Offering a lot of advice where to go, what to see, even provide free map too. Lovely great delicious full English breskfast is served every morning on a selected variety choices. There is a self help yogurt, cereal, fresh fruits and oranges juices too. Great tasty strawberry jam and marmalade. Room was very amazing, the poster bed having a feels like Victorian era. Love the plat design window curtain, floor carpet in staircase too. Very
Scottish vibe. Faces, hand, and body towel all provided daily clean too. Love the window view, sunlight does not go off until 11.30pm. Very helpful, friendly and sociable owner like Paula is amazing. Location tuck away from the main road. In the middle of bowness and city centre. Have 2car park spot equip with electric charger too. Pretty satisfy in this trip. Definitely have to go back again if chances permitted. Oh by the way, thanks for the yummy hot chocolate drinks Paula.

Just back from our 5th stay at Kirkwood in 3years. Great location, lovely rooms, so clean and comfortable (and we've stayed in a few different ones now), amazing breakfast and Paula and Richard can't do enough for you. We always enjoy our stay here and we look forward to our next visit. Thanks for another fab trip and we will see you again soon.

Paula is very friendly and helpful — we had a wonderful weekend even when it snowed. Great breakfast and the room had everything you could want. Perfect location without a car — we walked down the hill to Bowness & got a taxi back! :) :)

We had a triple room at the top floor. This room was too cold even with two heaters working at top performance. The room has an odd smell too. We suspects it to have came from the carpet. Besides that the room was very clean. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was nice.

Super hosts that from beginning to end were as hospitable as possible with lots of local information and tips!

The room was spacious and comfy. Facilities were complete and the attendees were helpful. Breakfast was worth the price. Near to the attractions.

Good location, easy walk to Windermere or Bowness. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Proper full English breakfast cooked well andl french press coffee. Only complaint is the bathroom was too small.

I've been to several B&Bs in the Lake District and this was definitely the best experience I've had. The owners are lovely and genuinely tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was cooked perfectly and the rooms were in great shape. A great location for exploring both Bowness and Windermere.

Breakfast was really nice. Rooms are fairly basic but clean and hotel is nicely located between Windermere and Bowness.
