Absolutely fabulous 4 day break. Great location, very well kept property, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable accommodation. Hosts (Caroline & Jonathan) made our stay — very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surroundings.

Highly recommend afternoon tea, only wish this place was closer to home. 5 ⭐️

We have just been for afternoon tea. Beautiful place. Very relaxing. The whole tea experience is amazing. Start by choosing your type of tea. Hot starters followed by lovely sandwiches. Then an assortment of cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Cedar Manor.

We have just completed our stay at your stunning hotel. The amazing breakfasts and huge comfy beds were spot on and a very relaxing spa bath and power shower (great after long walks) Great location for walks and restaurants too.

Gorgeous hotel, highly recommended. This was our first visit to Cedar Manor Hotel but definitely won’t be our last. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are delicious. We will be returning soon.

Cedar manor is such a beautiful place, Jonathon and Caroline have real attention to detail. No surprise that the new afternoon tea is just fantastic. The most delicious food and the most exquisite cakes I have ever tasted. You must visit!

Absolutely beautiful inside and out so quite and tranquil definitely a five star from us. It was our first visit to Cedar Manor one of many to come. We Can't recommend enough the staff were all so lovely and went above and beyond and made lost of nice touches through out are stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and super cosy ours had a lovely jacuzzi bath which was bliss. The bed was so comfy and breakfast was fantastic will definitely be returning again soon.

This place is absolutely amazing. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The attention to detail is unbelievable. There was handmade chocolates and Prosecco waiting for us. The rooms are immaculate and luxurious. Breakfast was out of this world … especially the pancakes. Nothing was to much trouble. Thank you cedar manor… you made our first wedding anniversary amazing.

Fabulous stay at this gorgeous hotel where nothing was too much trouble for our very hospitable hosts, Jonathan and Caroline. Loved hearing about the history of the place and thank you for the lovely meal for our anniversary.

Fantastic atmosphere, great service and amazing food. As a Coeliac I am usually offered mozzarella with tomatoes followed by steak and new potatoes with a choice of brownie or fresh fruit salad. At Cedar Manor the whole menu was available Gluten Free with the exception of one starter and one dessert. The owner, Johnathan and the waiter Chris did an excellent job of enhancing our evening with their friendly approach. This is definitely a place we shall revisit.

Have just spent a wonderful weekend here with my sister Ruth. The owner, Jonathan, and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we drove up the drive. The room was fantastic — the bed and bed linen were of superior quality along with the huge fluffy towels — bathrobes could do with being slightly bigger! The food was delicious and a great selection of dishes to choose from.
The Geordie lasses will be back — wonderful place to relax and unwind. Thank you to everyone x.

Dinner at Cedar Manor Hotel was a wonderful experience. Jonathan and Caroline were extremely welcoming, and saw to our every need. The food was delicious and it was lovely to chat with Jonathan and Caroline throughout the evening. Be sure to say hello to their dogs Alfie and Basil!

An intimate lodge but big enough that you didn’t feel crowded with the other guests. Jonathan was down to earth, easy to chat to, most helpful and went out of his way to ensure our needs were met. I had a dietary requirement of no dairy and so it was a wonderful surprise to see that there was almond milk in my fridge. Also for h’ordeuvres with my predinner drinks, mine was non dairy. Dinner again the chef was very helpful in ensuring my needs were met, and staff even brought me a non dairy butter for breakfast. I really don’t like a fuss but they did it without a fuss and I appreciated it very much. Our room was spacious, emaculate and very clean. And we LOVED the big gorgeous fluffy towels that you could just wrap yourself in and sink into. We felt very spoilt staying there. If I had to find a fault, it would be that the TV is very cleverly hidden inside a mirror. Very sleek and what a fantastic idea. I would love one of those for our home. However it was hard to see the screen clearly as the mirror reflected any light in the room. Overall what a fabulous experience and top marks to Cedar Lodge.

We booked the Coach House Suite for three nights and our experience was awesome. Food, hospitality everything has a touch of perfection. The staff is warm and eager to help u all the time. Would love to come back to this place again.

My partner and I booked a table at Cedar Manor for dinner and I can say the food and service was second to none. Everyone were so knowledgable and we felt very welcome. The location was great and the manor and surroundings were just beautiful. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend this enough!

Brilliant place : fantastic location with easy walk into windermere and about 20 minutes down to bowness : food is excellent and service very good : very professional staff : If you want a very relaxing quality place this is for you.

8 of us stayed and had a fantastic time. The rooms are all very good quality and the food fantastic. Best of all, every member of the team was friendly and went out of their way to look after us. We'll find a reason to come back.

This hotel is beautiful… johnathon & caroline & their staff cant do enough for you… we had a meal good friday & the food is amazing. Returning in june… I would recommend this hotel to anyone… fabulous.

A little Gem. Fantastic small hotel with excellent hospitality, a friendly atmosphere, great staff and service, and excellent food. The rooms and hotel itself reflect the care and attention to detail provided by the owners. Although we didn't venture out it is also very conveniently located for the town and the station. This will definitely be our go-to hotel in the lakes.

From the warm welcome onwards, everything has been excellent — our suite, the service, the food, the selection of drinks… I could go on. Breakfast in the suite is a must — a real treat.

Beautiful building in a great location for Windermere and Bowness. Our room had a 4 poster bed, spa bath and we were provided with robes and lovely soft towels. Refreshments provided and replenished whilst we were at dinner and we were left s box of handmade chocolates too. Excellent 3 course evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning. Owner and staff really friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

The staffs are very friendly, the hotel ambience is good. The reception is cozy, even the public toilet is very clean and tidy.

My wife and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary at the hotel. The hotel is exceptional. The owners are welcoming and friendly, meeting us with umbrellas as it was raining. Decoration was first class and our room had a warm clean and bright feeling. We had flower petals on the bed to signify our celebration. Beautiful ensuite with ample warm water. Fresh clean robes and towels and frequently refreshed toiletries. The room coffee/tea faculties were second to none. We ate in the restaurant two out if three nights, the food was well presented and cooked to a high standard. The staff provided first class service. Breakfast was probably one if the best we have had. Presented by staff with a smile, our anniversary meal was made special by the owners effort to decorate the table with appropriate anniversary sprinkles. Nice touch. I had the ribeye steak, perfect. The menu has a wide choice but I am sure if we had asked we could have had within reason something we wanted if the menu was not to our liking. Jonathan was the perfect host during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The lounge/bar which serves drinks before dinner is a lovely bright well presented area. The waiter who was very welcoming and friendly offered us the best of hospitality. We tried the new cocktails. Worth the try. Although we ate out on night two we returned to the hotel lounge for a nightcap. Again welcomed and made to feel welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, all rooms are individually designed with beautiful furniture and lots of attention to detail. Food is excellent, best eggs benedict for breakfast anywhere.

A warm welcome, attention to detail and lovely boutique feel made for a great start to our stay. We had the Coniston room which afforded a super view. Chris in the bar mixed us some good cocktails and the dinner was excellent. We felt comfortable chatting with the owners Jonathan and Christine … and indeed using their first names. Overall a really enjoyable stay. Recommended.

The cedar manor hotel is a lovely boutique hotel. The parking and access was great, the personal welcome was warm and genuine, the suite spacious and luxurious.
The food was excellent; the amuse bouche was califlower to another level, followed by fillet of pork that was cooked with the perfect hint of pink. The local cheese and biscuits selection showed the local produce in the very best light with homemade biscuits!
The excellence shown throughout the hotel was exemplary and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Always Friendly and always that bit of luxury. We have stayed here for a number of years and it just feels right. The food is to die for and the rooms are well above the average, if you want to celebrate that extra special day or just want to be wined and dined in style — this really is the place to stay.

Just got back from a three night stay the best I have had in a long time both Jonathan and Caroline and staff were all welcoming and friendly will be recommending to both family and friends and will be going back thank you for everything.

I love it here, Me and my partner stayed on the off chance of passing last year and I have just booked again for his birthday in june. Cant wait! :).

My husband and I stayed at Cedar Manor Hotel for our honeymoon last September. The food was exquisite, and the rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and exceeded our expectations. It has a fabulous, intimate atmosphere and couldn't be better located. If you are looking for a romantic break, or just fancy a bit of luxury, then this is, without doubt, the place to stay. The hosts make you feel very special and gave us plenty of advice about places to visit and to walk; which was just as well, because we must have put on about a stone each during our stay.
