I've stayed here twice over the last two years. The location is perfect, the accommodation is quiet, very clean and the staff are so friendly, and helpful. Last time I stayed was May this year, we had one room for us all. The staff had arranged the beds to suit all four of us without being asked. I also left my Fitness tracker when I checked out, again the staff were so helpful in locating it and organising it getting back to me. Would recommend and would stay again.

Pros: staff is very helpful and accommodating. Shower was nice and hot. Bed was comfortable for people with bad backs (firm). Very clean. Very quiet, you won't hear the outside world when you go into a room. Con: rooms are quite cold. They leave the windows open. I shut mine and it takes a very long time to warm up. I wish I could give it five stars, but I am here on business and some stuff needs to be typed up and I really struggle with the cold; It is hard to get my work done with frozen fingers. Notes: hard to find. Lights turn on when you put your key card in a slot just inside the door.

Our kids have stayed here a number of times and were impressed. We have had breakfast and dinner a number of times and it was good value for money. The menu is varied and should suit everyone.

Here on a mates stag do, low key one. Excellent location, friendly staff and the rooms are spotless. Very big comfortable bed and bathroom was new and modern. Shower very nice. Massive plasma on the wall, I really have paid a lot more in other hotels and had worse. Well done Premier Inn Durham.

Just a passing visit but seemed clean enough, staff were ok too. Parking is a bit tight but overall decent.

Great little hotel in Durham next to arnison retail park only ground and first floor so no lift but other than that great hotel.

Nice staff, usual Premier Inn quality. And ample parking space.

Staying here was perfect considering the fact I was here for my Uncle's funeral. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful including the man who ran reception during the night. The rooms lovely and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever known! If I had one complaint it was that my room was on the first floor which was up 2 flights of quite steep stairs and there was no lift. I was told that if I came back, they would make sure I had a ground floor room.

Amazing! This Premier Inn, like many others across the UK have recently undergone a sprucing up… The new interior design is simple and yet effective, the lavish flat screen TV perfectly accentuates the huge king size hipnos bed. The on suite toilet is fitted with a bath, shower and of course a toilet.

Good rooms, comfy beds and friendly staff. With a retail park around the corner and the city a few miles away the location is good.

Have stayed here a number of times now when visiting the Durham area. It is very conveniently placed with a retail park only a few minutes walk or drive away. The rooms are fine, beds very comfotable and they guarantee you a good nights sleep. Thus far it has not disappointed.

On my own with kids. Supportive staff. Breakfast staff understanding and supportive. Gave my 2 yr a balloon to stop him crying. A little gesture, but meant I could eat some breakfast. Thanks!

Staff were welcoming, there was no delays on getting my room, rooms were neat and tidy on arrival, bathroom facility was kept clean, the bed was very comfy, overall I had a great experience with Premier Inn Durham North and would wish to stay again.

The staff are always very helpful, we stay here lots and they are brilliant with kids. Can walk to the Arnison Centre easily for buses into town and shopping. It would be lovely if there was a 24 hour play area pass available for the adjoining pub though, although the outdoors area is free it could use 'lick of paint'. There's a nice park nearby in Pity Me too, it's just round the back and easily walked to, say 3 or 4 minutes at most.

I had such a nice room great samsung TV to watch match of the day 2 bed was so comfortable I never saw the end of the match.

Clean, modern and staff very helpful and friendly. Easy access to city centre.

Nice room friendly staff willing to go the extra mile difficult to get there if you use post code on your Sat nav great breakfast.

Premier Inns should be a universal constant: the same, wherever you go. Durham North is no exception. Comfy bed with black out blinds, a decent distance from the road to aid a peaceful night's sleep yet still only a short drive from the A169. Plus there's a Brewers Fayre right next door for food and drinks. Everything you need as a plane to rest while exploring the local area.

Nice friendly place to stay very helpful staff, changed our room for us & moved our luggage as I'm disabled & had been put in an upstairs room. Down side is there is no lift here, even though it is only one floor it's hard going when there is a lot of luggage to move. Also we were there for a week & although the towels were changed, bed was made & bathroom cleaned daily our room was never hoovered or dusted in that time.

Very rural location at Pity Me North Durham. Staff have been brilliant both at reception and housekeeping. Free car parking. Very helpful re: location of places to go. Modern feel of room. Good lighting. Light and bright. Quiet place to stay. Fully recommend for comfort and retail park nearby.

Friendly receptionist even with a late arrival. Room a good size & clean, quiet & well appointed for an economy hotel (well lit, high standard of decoration, hairdryer, sufficient towels, plentiful & easily accessible electrical outlets, free Wi-Fi). Plus the bed really was as comfortable as the adverts suggest!

Don't follow post code on Premier address takes you to a no entry at back of sainsburys for buses only so go back and to retail park but go to the next roundabout after and turn left towards Newcastle and see Inn on the left. Staff lovely!

Exactly as you would expect from premier inn. Front desk staff were really accomodating and helpful when we noticed a strange smell in the first room we were offered. Changed it for us no questions. There is a folder of recipes for local speciality dishes in the foyer which you can take copies from which I thought was a really nice touch.

Standard Premier Inn — comfy bed, clean and nicely decorated rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast in the on-site pub restaurant.

Comfortable, clean room. No lift to upper floors (disabled beware). No fridge. Staff pleasant — especially the night porter.

Rooms were clean and staff were fabulous. Gave it 4 stars as the hotel was not easy to find, could do with some old fashion sign posts.

Loved it. The staff were very good. Polite and friendly. The only thing we encountered was a poor IT connection.

Brewers Fayre is a pleasant restaurant. Nice choice of food. Friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Service can be a bit slow at times.

Good hotel, New so clean quiet and modern.

A couple of miles out of the centre of Durham. Can be good if you looking for somewhere out the way to take a cheap date, I'd have preferred it closer to the centre so I had more option on places to eat and drink.

Superb hotel. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean, but it's the staff that make the stay. They are extremely friendly and professional. This is also true of the restaurant staff. I couldn't fault anything. Definitely recommend it — and I'd most certainly stay again.

Best of the premier inns we have been to so far, the staff are fantastic! Every single member of staff we came in contact with was really lovely and chatty. The restaurant staff were particularly great, really helpful when we asked questions about the meal vouchers. One restaurant staff member, Vanessa, was outstanding, offering us advice on what to do in Durham then following up the next day asking how our day had been. We will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel with clean and modern rooms. Staff were very accommodating and let us check in early so we could get ready for a wedding without having to rush! My only grumble is the free Wi-Fi was absurdly slow, and with the bandwidth available nowadays the tiered approach seems a bit outdated. Would happily stay here again!

Premier Inn doesn't like men who use electric shavers. They don't have shaver sockets in their rooms. Neither do they have adapters or shaving kits at reception. Whoever designed the bathrooms doesn't shave.
