Convenient location for train travel and surrounded by all things you may need (coffee, grocery store, etc). Staff was also very friendly and attentive. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable.

Situated close to the railway station, bus stop and taxi rank this hotel is ideal for travellers. Staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are very modern in design with numerous charging ports for your electrical products. Rooms are also very clean and airy with tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. The shower rooms are clean and of modest size. Located close to restaurants and the city centre makes an ideal location for exploring Cambridgeitself.

Thank you for the excellent service in the Ibis hotel. The receptionists are attentive, smiling and helpful. The check in is quick. The hotel is very well situated, close to the station and city center. The breakfast is tasty and good choice of food. Rooms are big and cosy, New generation beds. We were lucky to stay in this hotel during the Women's day and the flowers were offered to each woman in Ibis. We will come back.

A bit odd at first as no frontdesk but young girls who register with their GSM/efficient (no checkout, just drop the room card in a jar) /I really like the breakfast (nice view on the square, small train station), very British but also continental/OK price for the city and the location is excellent (right out of the station and the town is small, on foot it's OK if not full of taxis in front) /good address.

The hotel was very easy to find, spotlessly clean and very stylish. We both slept very well and bathroom facilities were good. The only thing was the towels could have been more absorbent but that's quite minor. The restaurant facilities etc were very good and I was impressed at the quality and price of the food and drinks on offer. Breakfast bacon and coffee and my bellwethers and they were both delicious. Staff were uniformly cheerful, helpful and efficient and we felt very well looked after.

It is a great hotel. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, but really tiny for people used to stay at American hotels. The location is a plus, mainly if you need to take the train. If you stay for business I strongly recommend!

Very good hotel with Italian food in the foyer.

Rooms were basic, pretty much what we expected, for the price it was good value. Bed was comfy, though pillows were rather hard. The rooms had tea and coffee amenities, always a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised about the size of the shower, relative to the size of the bathroom! And the corner hangers cube was very cute. The room decoration was nice as well. However, the reception staff were rather disorganised, and messed up our checkout. Emailed the hotel and asked them to send the invoices, and still no answer.

The rooms was spotless and modern with everything you could need. The location of hotel is excellent, a shot walk into central Cambridge and located right next to the train station (No noise could be hear from trains in the room). A selection of simple restaurants is near by and one within the hotel. Breakfast was on the first floor and was a standard buffet breakfast with selection of breads and pastries. Would be happy to stay again.

Great location. It's a modern hotel that is changing its offering for the way folks love now. For example, there is no hard line phone in the room. You can instead reach the very attentive staff via text.

Slightly odd layout as no reception, just the staff working in the cafe, but very smooth and friendly check in process. Room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good, though I would have preferred back bacon to streaky. Check out was quick and efficient and receipt in my inbox within 5 minutes. Hotel is in a great location less than a minute from the station with plenty of choice for food either right next door or 10 minutes walk away at the nearby leisure park.

This hotel is Very clean and the rooms are a fair size. And modern. A few things took getting used to. There is no front desk, it feels like you are walking into a coffee shop and someone will greet you and check you in with their smart phone. The rooms are modern and slightly cheerful if not a little sterile. There is no phone in the room, you must email or text the front desk, or use an app downloaded to your smartphone. No washcloths, only large towels, no surface to place your soap or razor in the shower other than the floor. A tube of soap hangs from the shower and bathroom walls which serves as hand and face soap and shampoo. Perfect hotel for a quick business trip of a day or two, but being so utilitarian, it got claustrophobic during a weeks business trip. Pizza in the downstairs restaurant was decent, especially with a beer. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, very new. Rooms quirky but perfectly comfortable, shower room is a 'pod'. Breakfast great. Liked the bar/pizza place/lounge area. Watch out for the cost of parking in the station car park, as I understood it, if you park overnight you pay for two days. The parking period closes at 04.00am, hence the need to pay for a second period.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was great to be able to check-out at 12:00 I suggest you put two towels, for hands and bath, per person instead of one, as it is more hygienic than having to use the same for everything. Also comment that the noise that makes the bath fan continually at night is somewhat annoying to sleep.

Good value for money Parking is a bit removed from the hotel.

Staying at your property was a great stay. Starting from the check in, very "free", youth staff and very hospitable ready to satisfy the customer's requests. Excellent cleanliness both in the structure and in the room. Modern, linear rooms equipped with every comfort. Beautiful. Despite the proximity to the train station, you sleep well you do not hear noises of any kind. Breakfast Top, rich with a restaurant furnished with refinement. I will definitely return.

Great city central location within Cambridge, immediately adjacent to the railway station. Fresh new building with attentive staff and in-house cafe style bar. Good quality food and drink. Plenty of other bars & restaurants within easy walking distance if your prefer. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well kitted out for a business trip overnight stop over. Public pay and display car parking available to the rear of the hotel.

I like the way you have no reception counter, paperless check-in, only using application in your mobile. When l get into the room l feel secure because the key card accessible. Then, l like the small room with minimal furniture. I like bed lamp lights and air-conditioning that is also heater (all in one) making the room air circulation. I like everything here, ie location near to restaurants and train station. Breakfast buffet was great, too.

Loved the high number of red-shirted staff immediately available if you looked a bit lost. Absolutely delightful. Room was a decent size and the bed extremely comfortable. Shower very good. Wouldn't have minded an extra shelf in the bathroom for toiletries but that's my only criticism. Great breakfast.

I have stayed in a few ibis but have to say this was one of the best. Friendly staff greeted us for an easy check in service. The downstairs bar had a good layout and nice design. Also great additional service 24 hour pizza available. Breakfast was very good standard. The only thing the bar staff might need a bit more training in knowing their spirits.

After an initial issue finding the hotel (the signage is a bit too discreet! ) we had a good welcome from the roving reception staff. Check in was quick and our room was a good size. Handy location for train station (although a good 20min walk to the city centre) and supermarket on square was handy for picking up milk in the morning, and the coffee shops were good for picking up a picnic lunch later before we left. Did not use the internal restaurant/coffee shop but I liked the look of the menu. Parking is available in the station car park round the back of the hotel. It's not bad value for a daily rate — especially at the weekend. We would happily stay here again.

A bit on the expensive side, but has very good service. Doesn't have a "classical" reception but the arrival and assistance are smooth. The rooms have a good ambience, nice beds and furniture. The bathrooms have the essential. Everything is nice and clean.

Easy check in, even though I had booked a twin but given a double. Problem was quickly resolved. Air con was quiet and due to very hot few days wonderfully welcome. Lovely room. Soundproofing brilliant. No noise from inside or outside hotel. Welcoming staff. Very Good breakfast choices. Perhaps because it is a new hotel everything was satisfactory. Check in staff were happy and friendly.

Great location, price, and customer service. While the hotel receives many guests, it's still fairly new and areas not worn out. It's only a few minutes walk from the train station and there are no stairs into the building making it easy to transport your luggage. The lobby area has many seats and electrical outlets and the cafe offers some food items. There are also a few restaurants and a grocery store around the corner. The rooms are a decent size. I don't recall if an extra security latch was part of the door, but there was a peephole to view anyone coming to your door without need to open it first. The morning breakfast service was generous with the usual English breakfast items. Despite the hotel being next to the train station (my room faced the tracks) I rarely heard the trains.

After a journey through King's Cross, with the usual Sunday chaos on the trains, it was wonderful to be greeted so warmly after a short walk across the smart new Station Square. The view of the sunset across Cambridge (including King's College Chapel in the distance) was an added bonus. All the staff were friendly and helpful and clearly prepared to go the extra mile. The welcome drink was a nice touch and the bar was an excellant place to unwind. So much so that I had another drink! The food on offer there looked good; next time I won't eat before leaving London. The room was comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. Breakfast was very good value and it was good to relax while watching Cambridge come to life through the window. My only question (definitely not a complaint) would be 'Can I turn off the air conditioning and what's the purpose of that control panel on the wall next to the bathroom? ' As an older, solo traveller (I'm 67) I'd welcome some guest information in the room but, as I said, no complaints at all. Thank you all, I hope to come back before too long.

I've stayed at the ibis several times now, the rooms are comfortable and the facilities are basic but very good value for the price. Because it's such a new hotel, all the rooms are in a very good condition. The check in system is unusual (there is no reception desk — you are checked in by friendly staff standing by the lifts using mobile phones! ) and made somewhat awkward by not having quite enough space… Overall, recommended for a short stay.

Quite trendy and hipster-y rooms, good location right next to train station car Park and independent coffee shop on first floor open till midnight (convenient! ). Service excellent and staff very happy to help in both hotel and coffee shop. Only fault, though not of the hotel! Is that the train station car park adjacent requires you to buy 2 nights up front as a "day" is not 24 hours and expires at 3:59am (correct as of writing this review). Also it's cash only unless you use an extremely clunky app…

Nice new clean hotel. I do not like the "apple store style" check in check out though, why no desk, just a crowd of staff in a more crowded coffee area, more in the way than useful. Build a desk and save money on the hoards of roaming staff. I really do not need to fight my way past them or even have someone press the button on the lift for me. Breakfast again 7 staff in tee shirts for no more than 11 guest sitting at any one time. Its Crazy,

We arrived at just after 2pm for our check — in, which was very prompt. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was excellent, very smart and obviously new. We received a complimentary voucher each for a free drink which we used in the evening and sat in the lovely, chilled out bar area. Comfortable bed, we had a great nights sleep. The shower and toilet were excellent. We had a really lovely breakfast in the little cafe downstairs (we decided not to go for the buffet breakfast as we are not particularly big eaters). Check — out was fast and efficient. All in all a wonderful experience and we would use this hotel again.

Great welcome. Hip entrance. Great room. Would have liked to have a coat hook and a lockable safe. Window didn't seal in the noise outside. Breakfast good. Excellent value ands access to local shops. Well worth it.
