The natural setting for this hotel is beautiful. A rustic pond and peaceful outdoor space give it a definite edge over your normal noisy hotel along the highway. Great pool and hot tub. And located right across from the wide selection of good to great restaurants at the Corte Madera Town Center.

The staff is very friendly and professional. There's a great outdoor setting so you can relax outside. They offer a very nice breakfast.

When booking my accommodation for this trip, the Best Western in Corte Madera was the top of the list, but only because the other two places in the area rank lower. That said, I was extremely pleased with the customer service and facilities. The breakfast was alright but nothing to write home about. My room, an executive king, was much better than I was expecting, and I often forgot I was in a motel. The bed was wonderful and every is recently new. I'm not sure when BW renovated this place, but it shows and it's welcome. The one glaring issue I had was the noise. If you are in a first floor room, you'll hear every single noise from the three rooms above and beyond you. Upstairs rooms are a hair better, but I heard TVs and talking all night. Bring a set of earplugs and enjoy the wonderful bed.

This was a motel not a hotel. It was older but very clean and the breakfast was so fresh! There was fresh cut melons every day! The kids loved the large pool and loved playing putt putt. There were two washers and dryers for use. The exercise room was very nice!

Great location right beside mall. Fantastic breakfast choices, nothing seemed microwaved like you would find at other chains. Staff were always polite & friendly. Pool was too deep for our 3 year old but she enjoyed the hot tubs instead. Room carpets desperately need a steam cleaning, otherwise rooms were clean (although a bit dated). Appreciated the Keurig in room.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to 101 and a shopping center with many food options. The staff is helpful and polite. The rooms leave a lot to be desired though. The decor is outdated, doors, walls, furniture are old and patched, re-caulked or re-painted many times. The room was clean enough, but the carpet felt a little scummy and was constantly wet in one spot (not near bathroom). The bed is lumpy and caved in the middle, we didn't sleep well. The grounds are well kept and pool in particular was pretty awesome. Huge and deep (like 10 feet deep). The hot tub was set way too hot to be comfortable, almost dangerous hot. I think we will try another hotel next time.

This is the Marin Hotel I suggest all my cousins when visiting San Francisco. Superb location — 30 minutes from the City — Max. It's the best of both worlds — Close to San Francisco on the Golden Gate Bridge — and a fraction of the prices of hotels in San Francisco. Free Parking. The rooms are beautifully appointed — the hot tub is great. And the hotel is located right across the street from a great seafood restaurant called Pacific Catch — which is across the way from the impressive Container Store. I am a Best Western fan and this is one of their nicest hotels.

The Best Western Corte Madera Inn is a very pleasant and friendly place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it. It is an older property, but whoever did the renovation on it did a wonderful job. My room was spacious and very homey and pleasant (which was pretty important since I was there for 6 days! ). I loved the balcony, and the lovely view out over the pool area to the coastal mountains in the distance. The Inn has really beautiful grounds with many big trees and carefully tended walks and flowers blooming. The grounds are pretty large, so be prepared to do some walking (to breakfast or the lobby) if your room is toward the back of the property, as mine was. They have a HUGE, well tended pool with lots of places for people to sit (the biggest pool I've ever seen in a motel/hotel situation! ). Their staff is excellent, and they go out of their way to accommodate their guests and to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It must rub off, because other people staying there seem to be quite friendly too. I would definitely stay there again if I happen to be in the area!

I love this hotel. I have stayed here 2x in the past 5 years. I love the full breakfast that is included and the 25m pool. Close to restaurants and a grocery store makes it convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the property has coin laundry for extended stays. The front desk and housekeeping staff are A++

Conveniently situated, attractively adorned with roses and poppies, well-kept by friendly staff. The breakfast was generous and the room facilities were fine. For a person in a wheelchair, the roll-in shower was excellent. However, it was remarkable that the ADA-compliant rooms were literally the last rooms in the large complex. Therefore, it was necessary to slog in a wheelchair about 1/4 of a mile on a route encircling the entire complex to reach the breakfast area and the pool. The only shortcut available had steps — too bad there was no ramp there. It would be advisable to have a restroom in the pool area, as people have to go back to their rooms to relieve themselves. This is especially impractical for children and people in wheelchairs. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in this sunny locale.

The staff was great I always need extra blankets and they brought me two. The pool was great and the hot tub too. I couldn't find my ice bucket and they brought me one and even recommended and pizza place.

This is a nice hotel in a good location for our purposes. Starbucks and food right across the street! Courtyard and pool area were lovely and peaceful. Room small, bathroom very small but clean. Nice to have a back porch with chairs, or alternatively a back door with rocking chairs outside. Breakfast the usual buffet but nicely done. Good eggs.

The Best Western Corte Madera is pleasantly deceiving. While on first glance appearing to be a traditional American "motor hotel, " all it shares with those establishments is architecture. The lobby is modern, well appointed and upscale. The staff are pleasant, courteous and helpful. All that being said, it's the rooms that really exceed expectations. I stayed in the executive wing, which is a separate building a few yards away from the main building, sharing a common parking lot. The room was significantly larger than expected. While the decor was a bit dated, the king-sized bed had a wonderfully comfortable mattress and mattress topper, the sofa and chairs were tasteful and well maintained, the climate control system was modern and looked to have been recently upgraded, and the bathroom, shower and sink were spotless and perfectly functional. The hotel is situated across the street, literally less than a five minute walk from a mall. I had two excellent meals at the Pacific Catch restaurant, and would go back. The proximity is convenient and eliminates the need to drive everywhere. All in all, I have no problem recommending the Best Western Corte Madera!

Clean, easy, lovely, and no hassle check in and out. The rooms were clean and comfy. Easy to find hotel, just off the hwy — close to everything and everywhere we wanted to be. Breakfast was easy, and good. Scrambled eggs, french toast, cran-orange juice, coffee with half-half, bagels, fresh fruits, yogurt, and sausages. We didn't eat the wonderful smelling pastries, but they looked fresh and delicious. I remember staying here several years ago on a road trip with my folks and my son. The hotel has a beautiful clean swimming pool that is HUGE! Lots of lounge chairs, and a hot tub in the back area. Staff was lovely, friendly, helpful, and fast. We would stay here again — the price was the best by far too!

Amazing place! Lots to do with kids. They have a mini golf course, basketball court and soccer field! One of the spas was not operating but it was OK. The hot breakfast was delicious both days were different items one we had French toast and eggs with sausage and the other eggs bacon. Waffles are offered every time.

This was my second stay at this great hotel. The first was for pleasure, this was for a conference. Everything was clean, easy to find, the grounds well-maintained, breakfast was delicious, room was quiet and warm. My needs were met online, on the phone, and in person with absolute graciousness and speed. The neighborhood has no shortage of restaurants and shops literally across the street. Highly recommend.

Great staff and location! Eating and shopping within easy walking distance (literally across the street). Easy on/off to US 101. If you're staying in the Bay Area, I would highly recommend this place. Minutes to SF and Marin Headlands.

I stopped here for a short night's sleep before moving on in the morning. When I saw the facilities, I wished I was there for longer. Great pool (outdoor) and many little fun things to do. There was a gas fire pit surrounded by patio furniture which would have been a great spot to have a couple of glasses of wine at night's end. Lot's of shopping and dining options right next door. I was unable to enjoy any of this due to my schedule, but would love to make it back when I have more time.

I had a conference there so that was why I stayed at Corte Madera Inn. It was convenient to my course. Breakfast buffet was poor. Grounds were well kept. Enjoyed the hot tub. It is located across from a mall that had great selections of restaurants which made up for the Inn having only the breakfast buffet. My room was spacious. It was adequate for a work conference but probably would not stay there if I were a tourist.

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is gorgeous, very vintage but loved the decor. The breakfast was amazing. The room was nice, bed was comfy. We were very impressed with the staff. They were all so kind and helpful. They recommended a few places to visit and where to eat. The shuttle was a very big help! This was our first time visiting San Fran and it was amazing! We plan to visit this year again and we plan on stay at this hotel again. Thank you guys for making my birthday weekend pretty great!

Nice getaway, like an oasis. Once your in the courtyard you are in another world. Lots to do on the property but also away from the busyness so that you can relax. Staff is wonderful. Nice shopping centers near and shuttle to the ferry that goes to San Francisco. Very convenient.

Good hotel right off the main highway and within walking distance of multiple restaurant options. Very clean with nice heated pool and good breakfast buffet. Convenient parking by rooms.

Rooms are a bit dated and need repair. Our shower head did not work properly and road noise was a bother at 5am. This is a traditional Motel with doors exposed to the outside. It is a safe area, but still has a Motel feel. Housekeeping came every day but was inconsistent in how they made the bed (sometimes pillows on the bed, other times pillows on the floor or furniture). Breakfast was good with nice variety of hot and cold selections. Location is great-close to shopping restaurants and retail. We stayed 7 nights for around $1100, which seems high for this quality of hotel, but might be average or the area. There re only 4 hotels to choose from in this area.

This is an amazingly beautiful, reasonably priced motel in southern Marin. My brother will be staying here at Christmas. The crown jewel of the place is its Olympic-sized saltwater outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, and beautiful trees, grounds, and flowerbeds. It's also a nesting place for Night Herons and other birds from the nearby sanctuary. Get a "Courtyard Room" facing the pool and gardens, not the parking lot. Don't miss it, and don't be misled by its proximity to 101 — — you won't notice it. This is my number one choice for relatives staying in southern Marin because of the grounds. Plus the staff is extremely gracious and seem happy with their work conditions. I have been a member of its swim club and hate to see it shut down.

Very nice, spacious hotel with large rooms, great garden and huge pool. There you can also spend a good few days there. Very friendly staff. Breakfast very well and served in a former eatery, therefore in contrast to the usually quite small breakfast rooms with plenty of space. Absolutely recommended house!

Hotel was very busy due to the wild fires, am sure it would be an excellent place to stay, good facilities with outdoor pool and hot tubs. Bed very comfortable and our room had a balcony which was nice. Our shower tap broke though and they weren't able to fix it so we checked out early. Also breakfast pretty much ran out 20mins ahead of the close time, so get in early if you want to eat!

Great hotel. The bed in our room was super comfortable. I slept like a baby and was well rested for the next day. Staff is awesome!

The deluxe king with fireplace and jacuzzi is great. Huge included continental breakfast. Nice, large pool, next to a little putt putt green. Convenient for shopping.

The Front desk staff and grounds at this hotel were great, but the room we stayed in was dirty and dingy feeling. Tub was gross looking, dead insects, and live ones in plain site, that were not cleaned up by house keeping. Room was moist feeling because the AC was left off and humidity set in. Tub tiles were painted over to hide mildew, but it was showing through still. Towels left on the floor were rehung instead of re The value was not that great for the room itself. Even though it was overpriced, next time I will pay a little more for another brand, to ensure Im not sleeping in a room that feels, looks, and smells moldy. (stayed at a Marriott the following 3 days and did not encounter any of the mentioned issues)

We take friends from church projects to this place for over 20 years amazing people always and clean rooms, nice pool, great breakfast and very amazing management to help always. Gary and his employees are so nice to everyone regardless of the situation. Thank you.

Overall an OK place to stay in Corte Madera. It seems the area is rather high-priced in general, and this hotels appearance is a bit aged, but my stay was good, the room was clean and functional, and the king bed was super-comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Excellent place to stay. Staff is friendly. Serves breakfast every morning and I must say it is very good… Scramble eggs, French toast, Sausage, Bacon, Cereal, Fruit. They have a very large pool (salt water). Putting green. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. There is a large shopping mall across the street along with grocery store and drug store and a few restaurants. I would most definitely stay there again.

The best parts of this hotel are the beautiful grounds, full size pool (good for lap swimming), and individual patios and balconies. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds but need updating. Decent hot breakfast. Good location.

Staff here is terrific. They are always willing and able to meet our needs. We come to this area frequently for medical appointments for my husband. Yesterday when we checked in the front desk employees immediately came out to help him when they noticed him struggling. The rooms are clean and neat and we appreciate having the refrigerator. The breakfast each morning is a giant plus! The grounds are so pretty — my husband enjoys sitting out by the firepit in the evenings. This location is perfect… just minutes to the Golden Gate bridge and UCSF VA Center. For me? … it soon turns to the proximity of shopping!

The staff, particularly Nora & Eva, were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to get me a great room at a wonderful value. I was not only impressed with the quality and cleanliness of my room, but also with the pool area. That was the largest pool I've ever seen at a motel, AND it was a heated saline pool! I will definitely stay at this Best Western again when I am in the area!

We really enjoyed our stay at this nice hotel for 2 nights. When visiting San Francisco, staying here is a great option… the rooms are clean and decorated very nicely. The pool is much bigger than the average hotel pool… plus it has a hot tub. The hot breakfast included was great too! The hotel is located 7 or 8 miles across the Golden Gate Bridge, so we were not that far from doing all the sightseeing in SF. Directly across from the hotel are restaurants and shops. There is quick freeway access right back onto the 101. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

This was a wonderful place to stay. After along day of travel Nora was able to recommend a great place to eat. Hotel is very comfortable, clean and that staff are very friendly. That have a great breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel, really a cottage atmosphere, when your in town.

The surrounding harkin back to Marin 30 years ago with an updated facility. Guests can tell that a local long time Marin family runs the company and takes pride in the property. Excellent and unique amenities and secluded park like setting. By far my favorite hotel in all of Marin. Aa.

We accidentally arrived a few hours earlier then our check in and the staff was amazing at getting a room ready for us with no extra charge. The whole place was wonderful. Two really hot spas to relax in after our 9 hour traveling. Very neat and quiet rooms. Complimentary breakfast every morning with eggs bacon sausage hash and waffles, coffee and tea's, milk and cereal bar. The corte Madera town square is within feet of the hotel with tons of fun shops and convenient store's for all needs. Also the freeway is right there too for very easy travel around san francisco. Long story short WE LOVED IT!

The rooms are clean. The property is well kept. The staff is friendly. However, the breakfast was subpar and kind-of awkward (located across the parking lot in a old shutdown & outdated restaurant).

Just got here a few hours ago nice hotel very nice not so loud quiet and peaceful just hope not bed bugs come sort of a bit worried I have one more day to finish but at least it has gone well so far and just to say there is not a sink for children but I am staying here for one night and a half for a day but anyway I am still concerned about bed bugs but I know I will have a good night at least I a m staying for only one night so no big deal.

This was my first night in this hotel and it was the worse. I woke up in the middle of the night and I was itching and I found a bed bug! This was a nightmare for me.

Great Pool, LARGE rooms, surprisingly quiet since it's so close to 101.

Great room, friendly staff, excellent swimming pool. We stayed here because I wanted to get a ferry across to San Fran stay this side of the bay so we could drive up North easily without doing the Golden Gate. I swam in the large pool each morning, heated and clean. We also used the Spar just off the car park until about 10pm which made a change. Across the road is a shopping centre with shops, restaurants and a Safeways. The ferry to San Fran runs from Larkspur which is easy to drive to and parking free.

Stayed with my family for 6 nights. Chose the location because we did want to stay in the city, but needed access. Paiid 179 a night for a family suite which had a separate King bed and another room with two beds. The beds were great and the kids (one 12 and other 17) wanted own bed. The only drawback of the room was that it overlooked the road, the 1 bathroom was small and it needed some updating. The front desk said that the suite was the last to be updated and the updated the other rooms. The pool was Olympic size and great fun, Max's restaurant was almost attached to the place and great for breakfast and lunch. The larkspur ferry is couple minutes away and an easy way to the city ($7/person round trip). There is also a one movie town theatre around the block and was a pleasant surprise (nice seats and great screen and sound system). Also, the access to plaza across the street was really welcome — had all the stores you need and a PF changs). They do offer a complimentary breakfast which provides OJ, muffins, yogurt, fruit, and coffee. But it was a bit awkward to coordinate and enjoy in the room. I think they should do it buffet style in the main building. Although our first impression were negative, their great service and the access to Miur woods, SF by ferry, and plaza changed our impression of the place and made it a great deal. I hope they update the place some more to make it equal their service.
