I am staying here now! the staff are amazing! the hotel is super clean. Everyone is so friendly. Nice breakfast. Nice pool and Jacuzzis! LOVE this hotel 100/10

This is our first honeymoon in 14 years an we are gonna make this a tradition for us. The room has a hot tub a shower with steamer an the room is absolutely beautiful an spacious it has a fridge an microwave coffee pot.

Exceptional in every way! Central location to all of Wheeling's main attractions. Wonderful place to stay! This will be my preferred hotel when in the area, from now on.

EXCELLENT! Staff is friendly, helpful professional. The hotel is spotless! They have a free shuttle to take you within 5 mile radius. Outside teak garden with waterfall and firepit. Did I mention the amazing staff? They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Shout out to Jenn and Hassan! Drivers are awesome! Housekeeping does a great job. Complimentary breakfast is delicious. Can't recommend this hotel enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Never anything bad to say. We stay all the time and if there is ever any problem they do whatever they can to fix it. Clean comfortable and friendly. Just love it.

Awesome hospitality from all employees; the CFO even drove us to a destination and when we tried to tip him — he said give it to housekeeping! That is the atmosphere and you can’t beat management supporting and recognizing everyone. The aquatic center is great as well!

This place is amazing. It’s gorgeous and clean. The pool is amazing. I LOVE the saltwater tank. We come here every winter when we go to see the oglebay lights. I have to hand it to the amazing staff. With covid this year I wasn’t sure what to expect. I felt bad the complimentary coffee/tea bar as well as breakfast is not serve yourself anymore (which I totally understand) so I know the staff is extra busy, but they were still so helpful and kind anytime I asked for anything. Highly recommend!

I love this hotel. I’ve been to hotels even out of the country and I have not loved a staff and hotel more. It’s beautiful clean and the staff ALL OF THEM are so helpful and welcoming. The owner even serves dinner and drinks on Mondays. The pool is bomb 2 hot tubs and an outdoor splash pad. They have a shuttle to the Casino and George the driver was wonderful showed us all the landmarks on the way. I will recommend this hotel anytime. I hate to leave lol. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The ppl were really nice! I got fresh baked cookies and they were delicious. The pool and hot tub area is ok too. Also the shuttle service to and from the hospital is just awesome! Thank u for ur hospitality! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been here for an hour and this is already the best hotel I have stayed at. We decided on a staycation because of the plague. This place has an indoor and outdoor hot tub, the pool is nice, and it has a steam room. I haven’t seen one of those in a hotel since I was a kid. Currently eating the burgers they served for dinner at the managers reception. Also good. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is a nice hotel with a comfortable bed and outdoor area. The best thing about this place is the people. Genuine and warm… it's almost like being at home.

The entire staff is top notch. They are friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers free shuttle service for guests traveling around the wheeling area and a free breakfast buffet. I have stayed there several times. That is my go-to hotel when I’m in the area.

Excellent atmosphere and staff. If you stay Monday night, they cook dinner for you. Always delicious, never had a bad meal yet. All you can eat and drink.

Stayed here with my husband and two boys — the staff were always so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is really good for a complementary meal, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. We love this place! Oh, and the shuttle drivers were so professional and so friendly.

We had a phenomenal stay at this wonderful hotel. The aquatic center had so many surprises and whimsical water jets, the steam rooms and spa shower… The staff was fantastic and we look forward to coming back to this hotel specifically for a weekend getaway.

Friendliest staff and best service of any place I've stayed. The owner has a real eye for detail. The pool area is fun for kids but set up well for adults, too. Beautiful outside eating area. Good fitness room. The sportsplex is fun, too! But really, what made the difference for me was the thoughtful, friendly staff. They were excellent.

This is an especially nice Hampton Inn; the front desk people are very kind and helpful, the furnishings are tasteful, the beds very comfortable, and the window coverings blocked most of the light. The room also had a sensibly designed workspace w/good lighting and chairs. For smokers, there is a pleasant little area with plants trellised on two sides, about twenty steps across from the entrance. My stay was too brief to try out the pool or fitness center; they were both very appealing. All in all, this Hilton property is an excellent choice of lodging!

This was such a nice hotel! The swimming pool was great, the people working there were very nice and the beds were really comfortable. They don't have a restaurant inside the hotel but theres an awesome sports bar across the street that has amazing food! The hotel has the free breakfast bar with the typical things your used to seeing. Eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, fresh fruit, muffins, etc. But the best thing of all, which was totally unexpected, was when I opened the closet door and saw two white robes hanging there! Now, it's been a couple years since I've been there, so I hope they still have them. It was such a nice touch! I usually can't afford to stay in the fancy hotels that have robes, but thanks to the Hampton Inn I got to cross one more thing off my bucket list! I would put them right up there with any of those fancy hotels you would pay double the price to stay in.

Great place to stay, especially if you have kids. They have a basketball, tennis, cornhole court, pool with rainfall, 2 steam rooms, 2 jacuzzis, and and out splash deck. I also met the owner bob while there, he is fantastic & humble. It was 90° plus outside and he was there from 7am until 7pm working on and building a structure outside by himself. That is unheard of. You can see and feel the heart he puts into his place and his employees. Great experience and top notch service.

Good location. Great staff. Best pool around. Breakfast bar is superior to any in the same category. Room was clean. Bathroom left much to be desired. It was clean but needs serious updating. This was a handicap accessible room quite small. The friendliness of the staff made up for the issues with the room. They went above and beyond in every way.

My 4 kids and I stayed here while on our way to PA. We loved the pool and aquatic center. Traveling with kids can be stressful but the staff here was very helpful. They always went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay here. On Mondays they have a complimentary BBQ and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel!

The rooms were extremely well kept. Featuring some of the smoothest sheets I've ever slept under, this hotel really shines if you like plush bedding. I slept deeply and well. Breakfast had a few delightful extras. In addition to the normal fare, it featured fresh blueberries, pineapple, mango, and passion fruit, as well as shredded coconut and Chocolate chips that could be added to my waffle mix to switch things up. The hotel also features one of the larger pool complexes I've seen attached to a two star establishment. Featuring two steam showers, two hot tubs, and a larger-than-average pool, as well as a waterfall and splash area, this hotel clearly has the whole family in mind, and I made liberal use of the amenities. The only thing I can really complain about is that there isn't an omelet bar available at breakfast, nor is there an attached restaurant. Besides those two little things though, my stay was excellent, and I would be happy to visit again.

I worked at a Hampton inn as a the executive housekeeping manager so I know the high standards there is for room cleanliness, when I stay anywhere I inspect the room before I do anything else immediately I seen dried toothpaste on the bathroom floor and hair then I went to turn on the vent light and it didn't work, looking into the sink there was hair in there… not impressed I just cleaned it and went to bed as I got in late then the next morning I was getting ready for work turn the hair dryer on… nothing… that was the final straw. Called down told them the issues they had someone bring me up one found out the outlet was not working, but when I came back after work everything was fixed and cleaned great and they comped a night of my stay.

The room and hotel in general was immaculate. The amenities were top notch and pristine. The front counter employees are the nicest and friendliest people I could have hoped for. Unfortunately, one of the house keepers ruined the morning. The woman decided to open the door on my wife and I, and started yelling at us to check out. For the first morning of us being married, I didn't appreciate my wife getting shouted at. Other than that one small affair, I would rate the hotel and the staff 5 stars. But things have a way of happening. I would recommend staying here.

I've stayed in several hundred Hampton Inn and this is the best one I've ever been to, they have to steam rooms a hot tub a pool and the customer service is absolutely terrific. They also have a managers special every Monday night where they have open bar and make some food. Absolutely spectacular.

This hotel is about half way between where my family lives in MD and my brother’s family lives in IN. This is our second “family reunion” there, and this hotel does not disappoint — the staff is amazing, especially the breakfast ladies who always go above and beyond, the indoor swim area is so much fun, and they even have free dinner on Mondays. Highly recommend this place, and keep up the good work!

A great hotel with even better staff! The rooms were clean as was the lobby, gym, and pool area. The staff were beyond compare, even with most of the "high end" hotels I've visited. During our visit there was an ice and snow storm and we were not comfortable traveling into town for scheduled meetings. The staff allowed us, without hesitation, to use their empty conference room so we could attend our meetings by phone. This was above and beyond what we expected. I can see why this hotel is an award winner, and give it my highest recommendation!

One of the cleanest hotels ive stayed in. Awesome awesome customer service and the amenities are so cool. Hot tub outside during winter. Also indoor hot tub, pool and steam room! Complimentary breakfast and all day complimentary coffee in the lobby.

I was traveling with my wife on my way to visit family in the Northeast. This is a midway point. Have had experience with Hampton Inn before and always satisfied. We walked in with no reservations and were happy to get nice room. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in getting us a room. After traveling several hours, we hit the indoor pool to relax. It was one of the nicest pools I have seen. There were also an indoor and outdoor hot tub and steam room! All were in great shape and well cared for. Will definitely stay here again when we go back to visit the family.

Hampton Inn is a very nice place to stay. Very friendly staff at the desk. The lobby and eating area on the first floor are comfortable places to meet friends and family. The breakfast is yummy! The rooms are just what we expect to have at Hampton, comfy beds, clean, clean, clean! The exercise room and pool areas are just right for my family! It's our favorite place to stay!

Although I wasn't too excited to be in wheeling for job training purposes, this particular Hampton inn really made me feel at home and welcomed. It was very clean and the staff is unbelievably helpful and genuine. You can tell they really care and take pride in their job. George always had a smiling face, and was the first to go above and beyond to see if he could get anything for you or simple if you were having a good day. Another thing that really stood out to me was that the assistant general manager was busting his butt and working right along side with everyone else. Not just telling people what to do and when to do it like a lot of managers. He would pick us up from training about 10 minutes away and take us back to the hotel and would always make sure to see how our training was going and gave great suggestions on things to do in the area for the night. The whole staff seemed like one big happy family and They included you from the get go. They also provided the BEST dinner at a hotel that I have ever had. Everything was homemade and you could definitely tell. This was my first time in Wheeeling and I don't have any real reason to go back, but this Hampton inn makes me want to take a trip back asap.

Above and Beyond! I stayed on a Monday evening and they had a complimentary Pulled Pork and Rib dinner that was Fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. As a outside sales rep who stays in about 75 hotels nights a year… I can say this hotel stay was exceptional and I’ll be back!

Exceptional staff, very clean accommodations, beautiful work out room. The Teak Garden by the front entrance is a lovely spot to relax at the end of the day or in the morning with your coffee. We stayed there during the Heritage Music Blues Fest, very handy location and the hotel provided a shuttle to the festival.

Very nice hotel for the price. We spent one night for an out of town wedding. The staff was very friendly and they provided free shuttle service. It was right across the street from a cool sports bar and the breakfast was great the next morning.

Stayed at this hotel for the 4th time and will always be my go-to for Wheeling hotels. The rooms are impeccably clean, front desk service is very friendly and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff always asks if everything is fine for the room or if I needed anything else. Otherwise, they always say hello to you when you pass! Honestly, can not thing of one negative thing to say. I look forward to staying here the next time I visit!

We stayed 1 night. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was modern and clean. If you have a Tesla, there were several charging stations in the parking lot! Our only issue was some noise from the hallway late at night. The surrounding area was great, with a variety of restaurants and shopping.

It's always a pleasure to stay here. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. All facilities are clean. Fresh fruit and cookies at check in. The aquatic center is amazing — much more than just a pool. The fitness center was small but really no complaints. It had plenty of equipment, was clean and bright, and had complimentary water and towels. Overall this hotel is just fantastic.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for a Wedding and it was a GREAT Experience! It was very clean, the Hotel Staff were VERY HELPFUL and PLEASANT! The Pool area was so nice and accommodating for children! :) The free breakfast was good. They provide a shuttle which drove us around all weekend. I have stayed at many hotels and I always had something disappointing with them but not this hotel! I have NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about this hotel! :) :)

I cannot express how wonderful the staff at this hotel treated us. From my initial phone call to make the reservation to the wonderful woman who maintained the breakfast area, all went over and above to make our stay with three toddlers and three rooms a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. Thank you to all! O and the rooms were immaculate!

Great aquatic center. We had the king suite and I'd go back to Wheeling just to stay here. Perfect room and bed. Fire pit right outside our room. Kids loved the pool. We loved the steam rooms. It's my second best hotel stay only to a las Vegas room. We travel extensively so that says a lot. Wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel. Worth every penny!

Our stay at The Hampton Inn was excellent. Our room was very good in all ways. The breakfast buffet was excellent once again. Service at the front desk was excellent and gracious. Definitely the place to stay when I'm back in Wheeling.

Uh, I have no idea what kind of hospitality people are referring to. When I checked out I was not even asked how my stay was, and when I went up to the counter the girl at the desk stared at me until I spoke first. The breakfast was mediocre. This was one of the highest priced Hampton Inns I have been too. We had a much better experience in Rolla, MO. The rooms were nice as usual a typical Hampton Inn experience, but one of the lights did not work and there was no suitcase holder. I have stayed at MUCH nicer hotels for $150! With friendlier staff.

Pictures on TripAdvisor are very accurate, a operations very nice and up todate. Beds were very comfortable. Wish the complimentry internet speeds were a little faster for streaming for the cost of room.

Hands down pool/ sauna area with the steam room is off the hook. 2nd nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. Complimentary breakfast was great as well. Shuttle driver Steve is lucky to still have his job after we locked him out of the bus in all good fun with my brother. We all had a great laugh and Steve had a learning experience!

There is a reason this hotel was awarded the Connie award for 2013 and 2014. The staff is amazing, the rooms are immaculate every day. Bob the owner is an inspiring man! If you come to the area make sure one of those nights is a Monday — Bob is a great cook too!

Pick of the bunch in Wheeling& worthy of the praises lavished on it. I used to be a Hilton Hon member but moved on after issue with Doubletree (long story! ). The service is 1st class& immaculate in spite of having many on extended stays. The breakfast is excellent& stocked up by a 1st class team that all pull together, be it cleaning or the 24/7 front desk. The signature of the Hotel is Aqua Theme which consists of a Pool. Hot Tub, Sauna, Tropical Rain link over the pool and a Water Bucket feature the kids love. The owner cooks an excellent meal outside on a Monday evening for guests and this is the only Hotel in Wheeling that offers a Shuttle Service for guest to the Casino, Ogelbay Park and Downtown Wheeling. There is also a good& well stocked gym for those wanting to keep in shape along with a business centre offering free internet. I've moved on to another chain but this is highly recommended.

The best Hampton Inn that I have ever been to. All other Hampton inns should be modeled from this one. The hotel was under construction when I arrived, but you didn't notice based upon the service being rendered. The parking seems limited, but the staff was willing to move their own vehicles to accommodate me with a trailer. Let's talk layout… Reception area has a salt water fish tank. This adds so much color to the area. Second floor has an aquatic center. You would think that means a regular pool, but no, it has a lot more. Aquatic center has a pool with jets, a children area that is only a foot deep with a rain curtain from above, two steam rooms, a splash park for kids, two jacuzzi's, and a shower to rinse before leaving. I wish this was the Hampton I spent two nights. Room was very good. The only Hampton inn to have shower gel that I have ever seen. I stayed at a Hilton in Orlando and it was still lacking compared to this Hampton inn and suites. Amazing!

It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The rooms were extremely well kept and modern. The free hot breakfast tasted like an actual cooked meal with lots of variety and not your typical hotel food. Also, they had the friendliest and most helpful staff of any establishment! Especially from Stephen, one of the hotel security guards. He was cordial and gave us all of the information we needed to know about getting around town during our family reunion. He truly made us feel at home. Wonderful job!

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The building itself was nicely furnished and bright. The pool area was clean, well lite with a variety of water options that my daughter loved. We would definitely go back.

Loved the hotel. Perfect getaway for a family who wants to splash in a nice pool, complete with water sprays and pool noodles. There is also a nice area for a toddler to play on one side of the pool, and walk into the larger side via stairs. My 3 year old was able to safely play on the shallow side. Hot tub was nice and warm. Showers were warm. Room was clean. Front desk was amazing. They serve warm cookies at check-in and when my kids went down later that night for a cookie, they were all gone and the gal at the front desk offered to make them a fresh batch. (We declined, but I thought that was sweet of her! ).

We spent a 3-day Valentine's weekend and had a fantastic time! We chose this place because of the aquatics center, and we were not disappointed. The indoor and outdoor hot tubs were great, especially with the snow all around. They have steam rooms, a rain forest shower room, and a water "curtain" in the kiddie end of the pool. My only request, and I can't call it a complaint would be to keep the aquatics center open a little later than 10 PM. Since it is great for families, it would get a little crowded or noisy at times. Being able to enjoy the area after the young ones are in bed would be nice. Every employee we spoke to had such nice things to saw about the manager, we look forward to coming back and attending one of the free dinner Mondays so we can meet him. I don't remember everyone's name, but Rick, Bobby, and Jenny were three of the people we interacted with for a longer period as they were driving the shuttle as different times. And they all had many great things to say about their jobs. We took advantage of the free shuttle service (to anywhere within a 5 mile radius) and didn't have to move our car all weekend. And that was especially helpful with all the snow we got that weekend! The free loaner ice scrapers are such a nice touch for when we were preparing to leave. We went shopping in the local Centre Market, which I recommend you visit, and even the shop owner told us about what a great guy the hotel owner is.

Hotel done well. Rooms are comfortable and staff is accommodating. They also serve dinner on Monday nights, I didn't expect much and pleasantly impressed by the tasty country style dinner. Hotel offers shuttle shuttle service and has a nice pool and steamroom area. The few extra $'s you spend are easily found here.

I am honestly not one to write reviews but after my stay at the Hampton Inn, Wheeling, WV, I felt that my experience warranted a review. The hotel was extremely nice and their outside patio area was beautiful. It was nice to see the evening coffee and cookies they provided to their guests. Their rooms were cleaned and fresh. What stood out the most for me was their Customer Service. My husband and I stayed the weekend for a wedding. There happened to be a situation where we needed to get balloons. Not knowing my way around Wheeling, I called the hotel on the way to the ceremony and asked them if they could get me balloons and have them there upon my arrival. Not only did they go out of their way to get the balloons but they also went above and beyond by taking them to the reception hall and setting them out front so that guests knew where to go. When they answer the phone asking "how may we exceed your expectations", they are not just saying that as part of their script. They are holding true to going above and beyond. If all Hampton Inn Customer Service is like this, then any time I travel you can bet that I am choosing Hampton Inn over all the other hotels out there. Thank you to those who helped us, you really did in fact exceed my expectation.

Best hotel experience I've had in years! Joselyn at the front desk told me the Wheeling Hampton had been rated in the nation and I could easily see why. The attention to detail was immaculate. I appreciated the grab bag breakfast, the cookies. I was told only one night was available for the room I reserved at the last minute (I needed three nights). By the next morning your staff had worked this out and had the room set aside for me for the additional two nights. THAT is great service. The hotel was perfectly clean, the breakfast was fresh. All of the staff, from house keeping, breakfast, front desk and maintenance were very professional and seemed to take great pride in what they do. Super friendly. I would happily recommend this hotel and stay there again.
