Very spacious rooms. Service was great.

Williamsburg location is amazing. We enjoyed our stay and the amenities are great! We hate to leave and will be back!

It just wasn’t good. First room had sewer water leaking through the ceiling. Moved to new room — it was clean but we called for linens for sofa bed about 8 times before they brought them. They never picked trash up — hallways were dirty. They closed INDOOR pool for lighting. Amenities were never open. Poolside bar is closed. I would not choose this one again. Ever.

We enjoyed our stay. Our teens loved the arcade and weight room. We grown-ups loved the 18+ swimming pool. Many outdoor family activities. Only thing we would change is that the upstairs neighbors were very noisy at all times of the night. We could constantly hear stomping footsteps above us.

I love Kingsgate! I have been coming here over 15 years and it never gets old never gets stale. The staff is friendly, lots and lots of activities and games and different things to do and even with the weather being chilly right (spring break 2022) the outdoor pool is heated 👙☀️ Love Love this Resort.

Very nice. Swimming pools were not crowded during the day. 18 hole Putt Putt on property. Tennis court, playground and fire pit. Lots of grills so you can cook your meals.

Great place, relaxing atmosphere, plenty to do on site including fitness room. Arcades, tennis courts and mini golf.

None stop party seems like was woke up so many times to loud music and partying. So not happy if I had not already paid I would move to a different hotel. Beautiful place but as I said went to bed was woke up many times.

Its a great resort, but they shouldn't charge a usage fee, when thd arcade and theater is closed.

We've been to plenty of establishments with simular accommodations and Wyndham Kingsgate has made us feel welcome as if this place was our home away from home. Extremely friendly introduction. Our room has everything needed to take care of any daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, or just plain relaxing. Awesome vacation spot. 5 star service without breaking the bank.

Awful! Arrive to no parking in the building we are staying in. Looked like they booked everyone in the same building and do not provide enough parking. Had to make reservations for the pool. Seriously not impressed! No vacuum in room. Microwave tripped the breaker. Internet went down. Electricity went out several times and when I called the front desk the guy I spoke with was rude and hung up on me. Definitely not dependable if working while here. THE WORST VACATION EVER! Will not return or recommend!

The place is clean and quiet.

However, your Wi-Fi is absolute trash. Always has been. This is our second visit (two week stays) and connecting to devices and staying connected with a decent connection speed is uncalled for. 50-110kbps when you pay to stay for two weeks? I shouldn’t have to use my cellular phone as a hotspot to get anything done. Unacceptable. Figure it out.

Security was impeccable very knowledgeable and made our entrance into the property feel safe and secure.

We stay here whenever great grands can come visit. They enjoy the game room and pools. Something that irks me is the $6 per night fee when these amenities will not be used. Seems like there could be a wrist band fee rather than "taxing" all guest. We opt for Governors Green whenever we are staying without children. More points are required, but there are baggage carts and elevators. Also the suites are larger and more upscale.

This was our first time staying here, but we really enjoyed it. The 2 bedroom unit was roomy and we absolutely loved the balcony that overlooked the duck pond. They have a lot on site that you can do that is included in the resort fee too.

Over looking the pond & seeing the ducks. Liked the room set up as we had 2 adjoining rooms.

This is an excellent place to bring the kids for a family vacation. Close to Busch Gardens and an hour’s drive from King’s Dominion, but you don’t even need any of that. Great apartments with full kitchen and plenty of space for the entire family. Arcade and indoor and outdoor pools. Even an 18 and over pool if you can get away from the kiddos. The magic show was so great! They had an awesome Build-A-Bear workshop, a movie theater and so much more. Next time we won’t even bother with the theme parks. What a great little weekend get away with the kiddos. Additionally, the staff treats everyone like royalty — the treatment is well above what we paid to be there! We will definitely be coming back again soon.

Clean grounds, clean rooms, everything well kept up. It is quiet. Close to outlets, great day shopping!

We spent a week at kingsgate, with a fabulous experience for our entire family. The staff was always friendly, helpful, professional and fun! The resort is beautiful! With great amenities, pools, games, entertainment!
We would recommend this resort, and will come back to visit.

Very helpful staff at reception. The rooms were clean and spacious. The resort had plenty of activities for the entire family. I loved the poolside bar and there was a great bartender, Kimberly. She was friendly and so was the staff at Kings Fare.

We had the most amazing stay at Kingsgate. We will be doing it again. The rooms are spacious, laundry in each unit, fully equipped kitchen!

It was a very nice place! Best place to go if you're looking for a family oriented place. The service there sucked though. Had a toilet that ran the whole week and we called about it twice and they said they fixed it. It was never fixed. When we checked into our room there was a trash bag and empty pizza boxes in between our two condos and it smelled so bad. We called twice and both times no one came and got it. Other then that its a great place. Could use some upgrades.

Better than expected; however, check in took too long and they route you through the timeshare sales people in order to get your parking pass. They enticed me with free food or park passes to attend a presentation. Just know that going in, if you're not already a member. If you don't have any interest in "vacation ownership", don't fall for it because it'll just waste more valuable vacation time once you get in there. We got the 2 BDRM/2 BATH deluxe which provided ample room for six people. The units are refurbished but don't have elevators (we were on the 3rd floor), and we kept having a problem with the toilets not flushing properly. The game room that they tout is pretty basic. A few pin ball machines, about four arcade games and two working PS4s with one controller each. The indoor pool was over chlorinated to the point it was cloudy and would burn your eyes without even going under water. The outdoor saltwater pool was much nicer. Miniature golf was also nice, as well as the fire pits where you could do s'mores. Overall, it's much better than a hotel, but I expected a little more from a property with the Wyndham. I give it 3.5 stars overall.

Check-in was an absolute nightmare on 8/11/18. We had a 4pm check-in, we arrived at 7pm to find a line out the door of people waiting to check in. Upon finally talking to an employee at 7:30, I was told our room was not ready, and that housekeeping was working on the room. Then I was asked if I had a room preference? So are they working on my reserved room or not? After dealing with that, I was referred to the 'concierge' to get my parking pass. Those that have stayed with time share before will know this is code for the sales team. After being pressured for about 5 minutes of invasive questions (do I already have tickets booked for parks and tours, do I have favorite restaurants, have I stayed at a Wyndham recently, when was my last presentation, etc) I told 'Victoria' that I was not interested in attending a sales presentation. Very firmly and politely. She very flippantly told me that the next time I stay at a Wyndham as a 'non-member' that 'I can wait in that long line again' as she gestured towards the line I had just waited in. Excuse me, but if you can't handle turning over rooms in the six hours between check out and check in, why would I want to buy deeper into your programs? While we waited for our room, we were treated to watching more than one employee empty trash and vacuum carpets in common areas of the administration and amenities buildings.

We have stayed here for our last 3 Busch Gardens getaways. We live how spacious the 2 bedroom condos are. They are always clean and comfortable. The resort has a lot of family activities and amenities. The game room is awesome and offers lots of family and kids games. Plus the are all free! The gym is very functional. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are clean. They even have mini golf! We plan on coming back here many more times.

The facility is very nice for families or adult getaways. They have three pools, one indoor one large outdoor family pool and one designated adult only. However, the adult only rule does not seem to be enforced. During our current stay more often than not young teenage kids use the adult only pool with their parents. Security might drop in but do not enforce the rules, which is disappointing. If you have an adult only pool then enforce the rules so adults without kids can enjoy it. The facility is very large. When we arrived at 4pm our room was not ready. We did not get our room until 6pm. We were told they had overbooked the resort and numerous rooms were delayed in being prepared for guests. The resort is very well maintained and the units are well equipped. I would have given a higher rating if the ADULT ONLY rule was being properly enforced.

Don’t get me wrong we had a great time away this week as a family and make the best of even the worst situation. But I give Kingsgate a one star rating because of how we were treated this week. From how we were greeted at the check in process by both front desk and their “timeshare sales desk” to being denied late check out even though we are VIP owners. We have dumped lots of money into Wyndham for our timeshare and this place is the only place that does not respect their owners! We take about five vacations a year using our Wyndham timeshare points and Kingsgate is the only place that always seems to disappoint us. As a VIP owner you are told about how you will get many “perks”. Yes this is true at the other places we have stayed but Kingsgate seems to not follow or give any of these perks. Some one from higher up (and not just a supervisor here on premises) needs to come here and give this staff a good schooling on how to treat their guests.

I'm a regular visitor here, it's a pretty nice place! Facilities are really great, and it's close to a lot of restaurants. Rooms are a little dated, but well equipped. Only complaint from this time is that the blanket packed for the pull out bed was ratty and absolutely disgusting. Otherwise nice stay.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Everyone was really nice and friendly too. The worst part was bringing things upstairs, but they will provide assistance when you first arrive. Sometimes Guest Services gets so busy that they are unable to answer room service calls. Other than that it was great and I would definitely come back again.

We liked it. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Loved having a kitchen & laundry but supplies were not great. For example, they only give you 1 package of coffee and 2 dishwasher and laundry soap packets. You are charged for more. We choose to go to local store instead (because we needed other groceries anyway) but had to pack unused quantity. Kingsgate is a large complex and not all buildings are close to amenities. We had about a 5 min walk up to the pool etc. Manageable but not ideal for a grumpy 2 year old who wants to be carried. Staff and security were nice. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Our room was not quite clean when we got it but the reception made sure it was cleaned immediately and we also got food coupons as a sorry for that. Now the rooms were big spacious and kitchen was a full one so we could actually cook. And the best thing was a pond view with ducks and birds around. The 3 year old niece really enjoyed that. Would highly recommend.

The resort is clean, well laid out, we'll maintained but a bit aged. The master bath was a bit cramped as the larger shower was probably put in as a post-construction amenity. The view from the balcony was of the access road (although some units have a more relaxing views of a pond. ) Right off the bat we arrived on a Monday comfortably after check in time and our suite wasn't ready for an additional 90 minutes. The staff was attentive for the rest of the stay. I was surprised to find, even in late June, the mini 18th hole bar was closed Tuesday and Wednesday for food and drink. It is family friendly and a great place if you have kids but youngsters tend to dominate the public areas. There is a security detail so I feels the children are safe even if unaccompanied by an adult. The 18 and above "quiet pool area" was host to a couple who felt a crying baby was perfectly fine to bring in. Allowing the Wyndham sales team to lay out the benefits of point ownership was worth the listen and the workshop presenter was very thorough. Although the sit-down is optional, don't let check-in fool you into thinking it'll only be a 90 minute survey session. Plan on courteously giving the sales team a few hours if you're at all curious. There's cool entertainment and lots to do. If I were a Wyndham owner, at this point in life I would choose a different destination with a more mature crowd.

Really family oriented. Great location. Close to restaurants, movies, supermarkets if you want to cook. Friendly and courteous staff. Fitness center is very adequate. The swimming pools are nice… and I love the adult only pool and the outdoor swimming pool for toddlers is cool. The only drawback is that there is no inside kiddie pool.

Fantastic activities center! We really enjoyed staying here. They had the nicest activity center I've ever seen, with 2 arcade rooms (no coins needed, $6/day ammenities fee covered that), indoor pool, 2 outdoor pools, mini golf, and DVD rentals (free). We had a single bedroom, which was comfortable. My only complaint was the half kitchen was really small with no storage space, even for the plates, but I really appreciated the full fridge. I highly recommend staying here and would love to stay here again.

Rooms are awesome, beds are comfy and so are the pillows. Lots of awesome on-site activities to do (and most are free). Rent up to four movies for free. Location is great with about a 20 minute ride to the farthest of attractions.

Very clean rooms and grounds, friendly staff and fun activities center. Our family of 6 stayed in a 2 bedroom condo (comfortably) and my kids enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pool, game rooms and mini golf. There are lots of security walking around and sitting at the entrance gate, so I felt it was safe to let my kids have some freedom. The only complaint I have was the time share pressure at check-in. They'll try a few tactics and bribe you with free food or a free 6 night stay. Just be strong and keep saying "No thank you", and you'll be on your way.

Clean comfortable unit. Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Only 3 of us. Everyone was happy with the stay. Stayed in a 3rd floor unit that I would only recommend for those that don't mind the stairs. They do have helpers that can bring your bags up for you. Our unit had a nice size balcony that faced the man made lake with a fountain. Caution should be taken to not leave the sliding door open too long. Our unit became filled with flying insects. A screened in balcony would be a lot better, then it could be enjoyed at night without the annoyance of the bugs getting in the room. Grounds were clean. Nice pool, game room, putt putt, and movie room. Should keep the children busy. I found the staff to all be nice. I will return to this location again if I have something close going on. Was there for a family event in Hampton which was a quick 25 to 30 minutes away.

The two areas we have are very accommodating for our seven person family. I am pleased with the activities as well. This was a really good choice.

The resort is lovely looking, however the details are lacking. Our sliding door does not lock (thankfully, there is a locking bar). The ice machine does not work. The TV reciever was tucked behind the TV so we could not use the remote until we fixed it. And the phone handset does not work (the phone will only operate by speaker). Then there is the front desk… OK, keep in mind it is a timeshare. However, we are owners and would appreciate NOT being pressured to talk to anyone. Extremely pressured!

Excellent staff, clean rooms, and lots of restaurants near by. Similar to most newer condo facilities. We stayed as part of the timeshare program Wyndhan Destinations. Room was clean apron arrival, and had some nice extras including a bag of microwave popcorn. The bathroom is also similar to a hotel style bathroom. There was a bathtub/shower combo in our one-room model. The couch folded out to a bed to accommodate four people, though it may not be comfortable. The room wasnt that big. The bedroom was of decent size. I'd recommend this location.

Rooms were very nice and spacious. Sid have an issue when we first arrived, as they had assigned us to a 3 bedroom where one bedroom had people in it (rooms are split into 2 bedroom suite and 1 bedroom suite). They rectified the situation quickly, and the amenities are very good.

I did not personally stay here but took a friend. Her room was amazing! There were 2 pools and other cool amenities. The resort is located down the street from the outlets in Williamsburg.

It's fine, but I realize now I prefer a property with more going on. Wine tasting, truffle making, things like that make my time when I'm vacationing more memorable. Separately, I didn't care that as a VIP member, my husband was told I can't help you at check-in last night because I'm doing paperwork. How about you turn down the sign and take away the expectation that being VIP makes a difference.

This location was clean, very friendly staff. Activities are free, the only activity to pay for is the stuff animals one and the price isn't bad at all. Pool inside and outside were a nice temperature. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed in these hotels while on a family vacation and it was wonderful. The room we got was very spacious, the beds were amazingly large and comfortable and they have a great arcade. Heated pools I unfortunately didn't get to use, but saw many people enjoying it. Definitely recommend!

Very comfortable and clean suites. Lots of activities for the kids, so they loved it there. Their indoor pool was great when the weather outside wasn't. If you're bringing along kids, I would highly recommend this property over Wyndham's others in the area.

The rooms could be a bit better but the unit was good overall. The best part about this resort is the location and the amenities like the free arcade with xbox ones, PS4s, and a Nintendo Switch. They also have a nice movie theater, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, and miniature golf.

Wonderful vacation resort. Everything you need to have a fun relaxing time. Great two bedroom suite with two baths. Full kitchen. Two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor swimming pool. Two great game rooms. A full gym workout center. Movie rentals and an onsite theater. Miniature golf course, eighteen holes. Tennis courts. Playground. Gas fire pits and much much more. I would recommend for folks to definitely try this place out. Have stayed in many hotels in the Williamsburg area and this place has is by far the best. They will try hard to run the sales pitch on you though, o lynch downside.

Room was very comfortable. Plenty of activities on site (indoor pool, outdoor pool, mini golf, movie room, 2 game rooms free of charge, tennis courts, and other activities). Close to highway which provides access to even more fun experiences. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.

The apartment is great, and the kid activities are unlimited for a small daily fee. If you didn't have kids might not be worth it. Plan to check out the movie theater tonight. Local attractions are plentiful. The timeshare presentation and sales pitch was 3 hours, could live without that.

We stayed there this past weekend when we came down to visit with our son. The people at the front desk was very friendly. But that all changed. On the first night there when me and my wife went to bed and pulled down the covers to find the sheet was stained with blood. When we called front desk they said they would bring us some new sheets and for us to come to front desk in the morning for a refund. After we found that we started looking at the sheets on the other bed which my mother in law was sleeping in. It had stains on it and was ripped up. So we called back down to the front desk and told them we need queen sheets to cause the other bed was dirty. Well after a hour went by they finally brought our sheets but which was only for the king bed the ones with blood on them. They finally brought the other sheets to us the next evening. Which they brought full sheets and not queen. As far as a refund they refunded us $12.00 is all. We spent over $300 to stay for 2 nights. So I guess they thought that $12.00 was enough of a refund. That is nothing but just a insult. I would not recommend anyone staying there! The manager we talked to was rude about the refund and acted like it was no big deal about the blood on the sheets. My wife works in the hotel industry and if that would have happened where she works the people would had have been given their money back and stayed there for free. We also have pictures of the stains and sheets!

It is actually a nice hotel, clean, quiet and convinent the few times I stayed in several locations. If you can get it at a good rate, it is even better. The only down side is that, you need to sign up though too much programs to get a good rate. My only gripe is that, often you booked through one of those deals programs, and when you get there, too much, we do not honor this night towards say a future free stay because it was booked through them. Confusing.

Great rooms, ours was beautiful and had all necessities. Many buildings, and has hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, two game rooms, a workout room, rental of movies and board games, and a full schedule of movies and activities (just in our two days here, we saw Pitch Perfect three, wonder, and painted mugs and it was all free! ) Nice restaurants and shopping nearby.

Great family vacation spot and Kings dominion is only a 20 min drive away. If you're not interested in amusement parks, the resort has many activities that the whole family can participate in plus night swimming! Our rooms were incredible and gave us plenty of privacy and the comforts of home.

Great resort! THEre is a game room that keeps the kids busy and me busy. It is really quiet and protected with security day and night. Very good Resort but the only bad thing is that the sink and the shower water pressure is really low it comes out like spit but otherwise it's good.

We traveled down from Delaware to spend time with friends over the holidays. It was simply amazing. The rooms/condos were very spacious and we were pleased.

The rooms are nice, big, and modern. The staff are useful and help you upon request. The pool is warm and the hot tub is open all year round. It is a very nice resort, but not without it's flaws. Everything is very far apart from each other. So expect a whole lot of walking if you stay here.

The location's good, but the rooms themselves aren't as much. The walls, floors, and ceilings are SUPER thin. If you want to sleep in, good luck. You can hear people talking, walking, watching tv, even the slightest shift in weight from foot to foot. In the bathroom, it takes forever for the water to heat up and the tub to fill — the faucet flow is very light. Also, the room is over full of furniture. In order to open the sofa bed out, I had to move not only the coffee table, but an armchair, the dining room table, and all its chairs. Outside the room, there's lots of stuff to do in the area, so this is a better place to stay if your planning activities rather than a quiet getaway.

Great location, no problems. The grounds are beautiful and the pool options were nice. Was able to accommodate a large crowd. A few inconsistencies. The "free breakfast" is actually a time share presentation that will hold you hostage and drive your kids crazy first thing in the morning. Go if you truly intend on buying, or are that interested. Half of our group ended up checking out late due to not being allowed to leave right away, but we were not charged thankfully.

While the facilities and location are great, the customer service is terrible and they are very dishonest when discussing the “timeshare” sales aspect. I arrived and immediately was told about all the free things I would be given. I explained immediately that I was not going to buy anything and that my personal situation was such, that I could not purchase anything at all. They assured me the items were free. After issuing me the items they explained that now I was Required to attend a lunch where they would tell me about great offers. I offered to return the free items but they declined and ensured me that even though I was traveling alone and that my wife could not attend, it would be fine. At the lunch I explained again that I was alone and would not be buying anything. They told me I didn’t need to attend the luncheon after all. Then they threatened to make me pay for the free items, some of which I had already used. Long story short, I was told that I would not have to pay BUT a month later and I see where they charged my credit card for he “FREE” items. Absolute dishonest and disgusting practice. Be warned, they are not to be trusted.

The location of this resort to all Williamsburg has to offer is perfect. The rooms were spacious. The resort has an awesome game room, movie theater, indoor pool and mini golf course. Super fun!

Great rooms, comfortable beds. Includes washer drier, small kitchen with fridge and oven. Friendly staff. This one had a game room with arcade style machines as well as console games. Great place over all.

Rooms are immaculate and well maintained. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, silverware, mixing bowls and more. Each "room" is more like a mini apartment than hotel room. On site arcade and mini golf are free for guests. The only thing I can really complain about is no meals are provided with your stay, not even breakfast which is normally available with the cheapest hotels.

Racist BIG TIME! The staff really did suck from the front desk to the pool bar to where you pick up the pool towels. I've stopped taking my family to this place. I want my family to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about security following them as if they were suspects. After reading these posts it seems everyone is starting to figure this place is a dump on this inside. The outside is lovely but that staff and the accomodations sucks. Blood on the sheets, stopped up toilets. I better tell the rest of my family not to stay at this place. To make sure they read all of the post before staying… you might catch something.

Most amazing fun place to stay… Tennis, mini golf, two arcades, indoor & outdoor pool, hot tub, movie house, pub with out door pool tables, Clean Very Clean! People are friendly and nice… Couldn't ask for a better place to stay…

Our favorite resort ever. It's absolutely wonderful for families. 4 pools, 2 arcades, a movie theatre, putt putt golf and more. The security team is amazing and very helpful. All the attractions in the area are some of the Best in Virginia. A must see.

Visiting Busch Gardens for best friend's birthday weekend. Great customer service. Very nice and clean rooms. Definitely will stay here again next year!

We enjoyed the game rooms, pools and activities on site. The room could have been cleaner. The shower liner had green gel stuck to it and we called the front office because there was (what looked like) blood smeared on the room phone (receiver). A staff person came to clean the phone and apologized but it was still extra gross! Also, the carpet could have been better vacuumed. The TV reception and picture quality wasn't that great. I did appreciate the washer and dryer in the room. They don't clean the rooms during your stay. If staying for a week, at least one cleaning would be nice.

It's one of the best hidden resorts you will find in Northern part of the eats coast for kids. They have 3 pools one indoor and two outdoor pool, game room, tennis courts, fitness center, movie theater, you can rent movies. It has everything if you just want to get away for 3 days and not head down to Florida. Not your typical hotel rooms. They are full furnished apartments. Washer/dryer, dish washer. It's like being back home… Definitely recommend it…

Pretty fun so far. The billiards tables could use some upkeep, though. Indoor pool water a bit cold and the outdoor pool water was a bit warm. All in all still not a bad experience.

Our room had a balcony overlooking a pond, it's very convenient to the pool and recreation facilities. The two bedroom unit is comfortable for even a large group. The Wi-Fi is good, easy to connect to and use (no constant signing in, no password, etc). The photos online made me think the rooms were dated, but they were nice. Comfortable bed. Very clean unit. Good location.

This is a beautiful place for families with children as there is a man-made pond in the back where there are hundreds of turtles that swim in it and Ducks also joined them. I saw a couple deer in the back. It's like your own little petting zoo so to speak. The kids spent most of their time that we were staying there out back playing with the animals or just being surrounded by them. It's a beautiful sight to see, kids and nature interacting.

Great facilities, spacious rooms, friendly staff. All inclusive resort fee for fun activities for all ages. Game room for the kids, tennis court and pools for the family, even a movie theater! Highly recommend.

We always enjoy our stay at the Wyndham Kingsgate! It was a nice, comfortable stay this time as well. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the activities center did not tell us the correct hours of the pool bar when we called to ask if they were still open.

Excellent price, two bed rooms are huge! I enjoy sitting on the deck enjoying relaxing! The pool and activities area are wonderful as always! They have done some upgrades to the pool bar area and activities areas. The game room has been updated as well as the computer lab! Excellent Coustom ER service when we've needed things. Drinks are Perfect at the pool bar and all the staff is friendly! Recommend to anyone, I've been coming here multiple times a year for over ten years and never have had a bad time.

My checking started off great. Mike was extremely helpful. Rooms were adequate, plenty of parking. Grounds were not great but okay. I called 30 minutes after I checked in to get a pack n play and I was assured that they would bring one. 4 phone calls and 6 hours later I finally received one. As a Platinum owner I was disappointed with the experience as a whole.

Kingsgate is our "go to" vacation spot in Williamsburg. We have been here many times since 1999. Facilities always in great shape and continue to be updated / upgraded. Only part we don't like is the pushy sales people that we are made to feel obligated to attend. We always have felt tension at check in as we anticipate yet another sales push.

The rooms are clean, nice and the furniture seem new. Have makinitas in the center of activities. Everything is very nice. We liked it a lot. The pools this warm.

The location is near great restaurants and recreational options. There is also plenty of recreational options on sure. The room is nice, as well as the whole complex. Everything is well taken care of.

Room was nice. Activities center was always packed unless you went first thing in the morning. Edit: Found out a few days after checking in that there was a $56 charge for room cleaning fees when no one ever cleaned the room when we were there. Also, we had a charge of $6 a day for use of resort amenities, including Wi-Fi and the activities center (which as I previously mentioned could barely be used because it was constantly packed). It would have been nice to be made aware of these charges at check-in. As such, I'll be deducting a star from my original rating.

It's very close to most of the places we want to go. The rooms are clean and comfortable. When our AC wasn't working, they came out quickly and fixed it.

Our unit is cozy and well-equipped. We did have an issue with the air conditioning when we first arrived, but they had it fixed within about fifteen minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This Wyndham is nicely updated and well maintained. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is centrally located to all of the tourist destinations as well as grocery shopping, restaurants and more. The pools are nice and it has different rooms for arcade and system games, so no one room gets overcrowded. There is a movie theater and tennis courts on the premises as well. Very happy with my stay.

I have never had problems till my most recent stay @ Kingsgate. My first room, first night no problem. Second night @ 1 am, I what sounds like a herd of elephants above for 45 minutes. So I called security report it. Nothing… it continues for another 30 minutes. I go upstairs. It just a couple. I let them know I can hear them. The third day, I speak to the front desk and they move our unit. They sent someone to help me move. That night I hear the occupants above me in the new unit. They are not as loud as the last unit, but it would wake you up. The units look nice since they remodeled but maybe some of the soundproofing is gone or they used really cheap materials. We (as owners) pay a lot for our points & our maintenance of the different properties. When we have an experience like this it's important that they know about it. From now on I'm only staying @ Governor's Green.

At check-in, we were sent across the lobby to get our parking pass and get info on local attractions. Instead were subjected to an unexpected push to provide demographic (marketing) data and attend a sales presentation, while our parking pass was held hostage. The lady seemed offended that we didn't want to tell her our income. When we calmly attempted (numerous times) to decline to schedule the sales presentation "just to provide feedback, " she tried many manipulative tactics, including lying to us about the time when things open. She simply didn't listen to us or tell us the truth. I'm not even sure the parking pass was needed! It seems that the company, the system, and the check-in staff are set up to treat people in underhanded ways. I paid for us to have a nice place to stay and enjoy Williamsburg and Jamestown. Too bad the check-in tainted the resort for us. If this stuff doesn't bother you, it's a very nice resort and the rest of the staff was helpful.

Pretty nice place. Free internet is not good at all, but at least they have an option where you don't have to pay for it. Lots of fun activities throughout the day.

Rooms were very spacious. Location was great and quiet. Amenities were diverse and we'll taken care of. Rooms were very clean and beds were soft.

Great amenities. Both indoor and outdoor pool was still open in October. Rooms were clean. Staff was great, jaelyn was my favorite.

Condo like resort and the service for the most part was good. Indoor and outdoor pool open late. Free arcades with a descent selection eceryone can enjoy. The only thing is that the rooms are a bit small. We requested for a crib and did not get it. The ac does not go lower than 68 degrees. Musty odor like damp carpet throughout the building and the room.

We return every year to the Kingsgate and it's always enjoyable. The accommodations are renovated, clean, and the location is exceptional for accessing the Williamsburg area. It's got sold amenities with fitness, gaming, and cinema rooms and pools. We've rarely had any issues over the years and any sales pushes are kept to a minimum.

We've stayed with Wyndham before but this was the first time I've been truly disappointed. Dirty falling apart shower curtain, food left on the fridge, outlets that won't hold a plug in them and no hand soap/toiletries and the phone wouldn't work. However, the maintenance and front desk people were very curteous and apologetic and fixed as much as they could during our stay. Of course they will harass you until you feel you need to be mean and nasty that you're not wasting your time on their pitch bc you just want to enjoy your vacation with your family.

Kings Fare has a nice indoor dining area with 3 tvs on, but they are not overwhelming. This place also has an outdoor seating area but due to how hot it was we decided to eat inside. Appetizers were served promptly, we had mozzarella sticks and bang bang shrimp. Both were really good. Then we had hamburgers for our meal. The burgers were awesome. Juicy and tasted like they were on a grill. Service was quick and responsive.

We are wyndham owners as well and we have been coming for the past 3 consecutive years to this resort, I cant picture my family and myself staying anywhere else,, I love everything about this resort,,,, I had a little inconvenience on our first trip here but it was handled very fast and in a professional matter, staff are nice and courteous. ✌️

Great location for Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Nice facility. Could do without the daily fee for activities ($6)

One bedroom unit review. Nice family resort. Great security and outside grounds are clean and well maintained. I contacted houskeeping for extra bedding and toiletries and they were very quick to respond. Be sure to pack a cooler with your favorite beverage and snacks for the adult only pool area; drinks at the bar cost $6-8. Activity center and pool were great. It's a hotel style unit with a small bedroom and a mini kitchen. Well stocked for 4. Make sure to request top floor unit or you will hear everything. Door opening and shutting at entrance in the morning. Lastly, be the first to shower. The hot water supply is very limited. Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars.

This is by far the best resort I've visited. I booked my family vacation at Wyndham VA, 11 of us stayed at the house including 6 kids, we got the entire top floor. The apartment was clean, new appliances. When we arrived to check in, the staff was extremely welcoming, gave us a map of the place with everything the vicinity have to offer. My parents loved it. The kids enjoyed everything, we played golf, oh and don't forget to check out the game room. The pool. Lol. I'm writing and I'm still excited! You will not regret staying at this place. Thanks to the entire staff! We will be back again!

Great resort for a family. There were lots of activities there and near by. There was trouble with the Wi-Fi about halfway through when they changed the platform and some of the TV channels we're used to viewing at home weren't available. Other than those two problems everything was good.

We just returned from our vacation and I have to say, I've never felt so compelled to review something before. I'm angry that our last vacation before we move across the country was wasted at this resort. I would advise steering clear of the Kingsgate. If you want to stay at a Wyndham, take your points or money and go down the road to Govoner's green. It might cost more, but you won't regret it as much as we regret accidentally getting reservations here instead. In no particular order. -The room was renovated and a tub was removed from the room. I knew this (and they confirmed it) by the huge exhaust fan still in the room. The room was never treated for the water damage that resulted from having a tub in the room, so it smelled like mildew, and got worse as it got wetter outside. On the plus side, the exhaust fan made a handy sound machine when our drunk upstairs neighbors were getting high the first two days of our visit. -Our room was so humid that nothing dried, and when we complained they a. Had no dehumidifer, and b. Told us they couldn't do anything. We were never offered the chance to move to another room. -The internet service was non-existent. Their fastest speeds were comparable with dial-up. I call bull-shit on their saying it was a Williamsburg issue. We've stayed at hotels with fast internet in Williamsburg. — The bathroom doors (BOTH BATHROOMS) didn't shut because of a poor paint job, and it being so humid in the room that they had swollen.

I loved this resort. I would have given it 5 stars but the only thing that I didn't like was the parking if you leave and show up later than 8pm you will not find any parking near your building. But besides that I loved everything about it. The kids enjoyed themselves and the room size was big enough.

1 bedroom is very small. Not a full kitchen in it like most resorts have and it feela really really small. I don't expect this place to be as big as my house but this is a bit small. They also make you feel forced into a sales pitch in the morning which cut into our vacation. They say it is only an hour but past reviews say that this is nothe necessarily true. You can hear the people above you walking around so I felt nervous that people could always hear u. Stressful when you have a baby. The room was nicely decorated and the staff was fairly polite And super helpful. Next time I will be getting a 2 bedroom just so I don't feel quite so cramped.

We loved the room, it was very nice and clean. But upon check in, you will get suckered into attending a seminar the next morning to listen to a pitch about becoming a Wydham owner. We were swayed into going because they have us a $30 dinner voucher and said we would get a free 7 night stay at any Wyndham. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! THEY LIE! They told my friend and I at check in to bring our husbands, but never said it was a must. We arrived to the seminar and were checked in by the same guy we were talking to at check in. He never once asked where our husbands were. He let us sit through the hour seminar and talk to someone afterwards for 40 minutes before telling us we didn't qualify for the free 7 night stay because our husbands weren't with us. I was livid. He should never have let us sit through the seminar or should have told us that before letting us in. They wouldn't even let us keep the $30 dinner certificate. What a joke. I will never stay at a Wyndham again. Their excuse for everything was everyone we were dealing with were new. Sorry. Very poor management.

I've stayed in 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom suites. The rooms are similar to a typical suite hotel, nice but not really extraordinary. Wyndham operates Governor Green less than a mile away that is their more up-scale offering. Wyndham also operates a more basic, barebones resort nearby, Patriots Place. I find that I like Kingsgate best. It's not perfect, but has an over-all comfortable feel. There is even an hourly bus stop a block away that connects with the train station.

We had an awesome time. Beautiful and relaxing. The weather was nice. This was our first visit to this area. We didn't participate in any activities although we wish we would have. It had easy on/off access to the highway, so traveling wasn't a problem. There was major store and restaurants nearby. Thankful for the opportunity. We also attended a presentation. Maybe one day, but not now.

I have no major complaints about Kingsgate, but it is certainly not one of my favorite places either. The room was clean, the people were friendly, it's a pretty good location and I like the resort amenities offered. We stayed too busy to really get to experience all the resort had to offer however, so I can't say too much on the amenities. Now on to my complaints, for starters, we did not have a coffee maker in our room, but that was minor and they fixed it later that day. My second complaint is the water, it takes a really really REALLY long time to warm up and there wasn't much in the way of water pressure either. My third complaint is the amount of counter space, there isn't room to put anything. They don't even have the space to store the things they offer in the kitchen, some of it is stacked on top of the refrigerator. Also the sink is so tiny, how they expect you to wash a pot in there I have no idea, good thing we mostly ate out. And don't expect to bake anything if you have a one bedroom, because there is no real oven, only a convection microwave. My next complaint is the lack of sidewalks, there are almost no sidewalks and it's a little scary with young children. Then my final complaint is not having a balcony, I wish I had known that one bedrooms do not have balconies. If we had known all of this, we would not have booked here or at least got a two bedroom. But, we didn't know until we were checking in and there was no possibility of an upgrade, we tried.

Check in service. Great. Room very good. Hot tub excellent. Pools ok. Problems, lack of parking for your room if you return after pm. The Hot tub after 6pm. Is for adults only, but no enforcement occurs unless you go and complain. Outdoor pools lack enough shade. For example the adult pool has only 2 umbrella tables. Also, not enough chairs, still a lot of room open space from them, people can't find a seat.

This was my 12th visit to a time share and this one ranks next to the bottom. The rooms are small, especially the kitchen living room. There was no oven, just a convection microwave. The dishes could not fit in the small cabinets so the were stored above the frig, on the tiny dinning room table, and on the range so to do anything you were constantly moving stuff around and forget storing your own dry goods! I will NEVER go to one of their owners workshops here again. The woman they handed us off to seemed nice at first; but took high pressure salemen ship to a new level. She kept us in her office nearly 5 hours and when we finally insisted we just couldn't add a new package at this time she turned icey cold and rude claiming we just wanted something for nothing. Even then we were handed off to a different person who wanted us to give a couple of grand to hold the offers in place a year. We lost a day of vacation and were all stressed out and for what two three tickets to Williamsburg. Buy your own season passes and go whatever days you want and come back before the year is up and go again. Williamsburg is great but Kingsgate isn't the best place to enjoy it.

Stayed in bldg 16-102a for a week. The air quality in the rooms was terrible. The whole building smelled like fried food. A particular vent in the master bedroom smelled very much like BO or something very rich like sewage. We complained about this to the front desk and they had maintenance come out to spray the air-returns with an "ionizer". Which only lasted a few hrs. Stains on the carpets. Noise was terrible! If the entryway door slammed the whole building shook. We were unlucky enough to have a first floor unit with a family of 8 above us. Nice people but completely inconsiderate of their noise level. One one particular day a small child threw up a large amount in the smal square shaped kiddie pool. The staff put signs up that said pool closed, but watched people go in the pool and laughed at them when OTHER guests told them what happened earlier. They have a game Room but half of the games had 'out of order' signs on them. Wi-Fi is the weakest I've ever used. Pros: Close to Williamsburg, Jamestowne, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, pool cabana and bar, tennis courts, easy mini golf course. Even so, probably not going back here. Ever.
