Nice quiet rooms. Would come back again!

The front desk folks were awesome, the bar delightful, the fitness center was great and overall we highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Fairfax.

Beware of hotel, rooms are not clean and staff not willing to assist when there is a problem. I was given a room with cheese on the couch, crumbs on chair and used washcloths still hanging in the shower. I was told I would receive free breakfast for the hassle. Upon checkout I was confronted with rude staff and no free breakfast, hotel doesn’t stand behind hospitality and service to guest. Also no leadership on weekends, have to wait to Tuesday’s to get leadership help.

Me and my daughter are spending the week here and the staff have been exceptional. Room is very spacious and clean. Lots of wonderful restaurants and shopping centers very close. Would highly recommend Hyatt Regency Fairfax VA.

I enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming back. I was hesitant when I was booking the room but completely utterly satisfied. The room was amazing. I would however advance the trimming of the trees that block the view for some people who want to open their windows. But other than that I absolutely loved my stay.

Just checked out after an 8 nights stay, and we like thus hotel very much! Our room at 12th floor was spacious and daily very good maintained by a lovely lady. We’ve booked incl breakfast that was also very good and the staff in the restaurant were very kind and helpful!

Location is great. There's a mall that's just a walk away and everything else is a short drive away. It's easy to turn into the hotel. The parking is easy, the lines are strange but the cars that are already arked there serve as guidelines anyways. The staff is always friendly at check in and check out. The waitresses are very friendly and efficient. Rooms are always always CLEAN. TV in each room with 50 channels. Mini fridge, safe, and couches. The bathroom is clean and they provide enough towels. The beds are comfortable. You can control the AC unit in your room so temperature is always good. I've checked in here 4 times.

Is this a joke? I arrive after 9 pm and the desk manager looks like he’s working st a cheap hotel in Ghana — I’ll fitting suit, white shoes, garish tie. Does anyone check the presentation these employees make? This is a Hyatt? The room was fine. I go down later fir a snack and EVERYTHING is closed. 10:30 pm? No one eats after? The snack refrigerator… with most of the lights not working … was locked and no one could find the key. This is a Hyatt?

Room was excellent. Much more spacious than I anticipated. The bed and the rest of the room's appointments we're perfectly comfortable. Location was very convenient, and everything that a traveler may have forgotten is easily found at the many stores nearby. The only downside to this hotel was that there were no lines painted in the parking lot, and in the absence of very clear direction, most human beings apparently can't figure out what to do.

The rooms were gorgeous and just the right size. There are also a ton of restaurants and shops very close. The only thing that we didn't like was that housekeeping came by 8 am to clean the room. We were staying there on a retreat and didn't want to get up at 8 am. You can put a "Do not disturb" sign outside your door. However, we didn't know they would come by that early.

This was my go-to hotel when I lived in Nova a few years ago. I literally lived here 4 days a week for about 6 months. I loved the Staff, the food, and the large rooms with floor to ceiling windows (Panoramic Windows with amazing views, if you are lucky enough to get a corner room on a high floor). My recent stay left allot to be desired. The room I was given was dated, and the linens did not appear to have been cleaned. I booked through a discount hotel website and was glad my stay only lasted one night.

Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff, as well as nice clean, modern rooms. Didn't get around to ordering breakfast, but they will bring it to your room at an hour you specify, which is a nice little extra touch. Rooms can be a little in the small side, but the open floor plan and 360° rotating TV make excellent use of the limited space. Great experience, overall.

Very comfortable hotel but overpriced. No free breakfast. Wi-Fi works well. Not enough coffee condiments in the room. Room is extremely pleasant. Can easily sleep on the couch if needed. Nice big TV and it swivels to be easily viewable from either side of the room.

The price of the room was good. The hotel room was very modern and fancy. We enjoyed our one night stay.

Nice hotel for the price in the Fairlakes area. Rooms are a good size, service is nice and the location is convenient if you need to get around NOVA or even DC. It's a little tucked away and you can't really walk anywhere, but otherwise a good spot. Would stay again.

It's not obvious where to go in order to get to the front of the hotel, but once inside, you are greeted by an open and classy atmosphere. Furnishings are nice quality and the lobby is a great place to hold a small meeting. The parking lot needs to be improved by repainting the lines.

If you are willing to stay a bit outside of the DC area, the Hyatt Regency Fairfax gives you a lot of bang for your buck. Spacious rooms. Free parking. Nearby shopping and dining. Trails for exercise within walking distance of the hotel.

Had unpleasant door unlocking noise from 10 — 3am. I called the front desk and complained about the noise, but nothing was resolved. The day after we checked out, I checked my bank statement and realized that I was double charged by Hyatt Regency. I called immediately to ask about the extra charge, and was told that they have refunded the amount. (They were unaware of the extra charge. ) From total of four nights, only two nights were pleasant and peaceful. I will try it one last time and go with the higher odds.

During my call to make a reservation for an upcoming wedding a few minutes ago, I inquired about the rates offered directly by the hotel and if they were able to match the lowest rate I had found online. I had heard in the past (perhaps mistakenly) that hotels appreciate you contacting them directly in these situations because they profit more by matching website prices than if you reserve through other websites. The person who received my call was not receptive to my inqui…ries about price-matching, stating that those rates were non-refundable and did not include breakfast although other websites were offering these things at the reduced rate. That was fine with me, as I could just reserve online instead. I told him I would go ahead and reserve elsewhere online and was immediately hung up on. I understand if the hotel is unable to match online prices, but I am disappointed by the way the person handled the situation. I'm considerably less excited about my stay after being hung up on after a simple inquiry.

Although clean and very modern, I expected more from the pool area. The room service also left something to be desired. Food was cold by the time we received it and molten lava cake was hard and not molten at all. I have honestly stayed in holiday inns nicer and for much less.

We were there for a week. A housekeeper stole a chain from out room early in the stay. We made a complaint. NO ONE called us to follow up. Everyday we had to call or visit the front desk. On our last day a front desk Mgr, Jesse Paige says,,, what do you want us to do?. Hotel is not responsible,,, call the police. That simple and that dry. Very sad way to end our spring break vacation.

I liked everything the cleanness and their flexibility but unfortunately the business center was out of service which I was hoping to use for typing and printing but the front desk just printed for me. The pictures really present the actual decor and details. There was a confusion that made me feel a little disappointment with the breakfast I was sure when I booked the room through third party that included the breakfast but when I was checking out they tried to charge me that. At the end, the front desk solved the mistake and took it off.

Drove all the way from Texas, ordered double room for my family. I get here and I've got a single bed. They offered me a got, said ok and still havnt brought it to us as of now … that was yesterday. Wine was good bartender/custodian couldn't mixed back and coke if his life depended on it. All and all hotel is nice but I'll never come back do to my kids sleeping on a floor our whole vacation.

Good accommodations. Excellent service. Okay breakfast buffet, great price. Pillows very tiny. Bring your own.

With wonderful views from the top floors, a posh lobby, and upscale rooms thus Hyatt stands out as one of the better hotels in the area. It's in a prime location near 66 and Fair Oaks shopping including Whole Foods. There are many rooms here and prices are cheap as they are always trying to fill up rooms. The surrounding area, a la the parking lot could use some updating. Also, the price for breakfast is stiff compared to what you get. All in all a nicer hotel if you're looking for an upgrade from some of the drab competitors.

The room was very nice with plenty of amenities. Charging devices was no problem as there were USB ports on all the lamps as well as accessible outlets. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Very nice rooms for the price and great service from the staff. Definitely recommends. The PO area and the elevators need a serious make over though.

Went to photograph a wedding. Staff was professional and helpful! We had no problem going in and out of the event and they fed us we'll. We were able to put our equipment in certain locations that made it easily accessible but still safe from theft. Beautiful hotel for a wedding.

If you don't mind spending a few bucks on cabs and/or the Metro to get to Reagan or DC, stay here. Nice, big contemporary rooms with every amenity, from Q-tips to a huge HDTV on a swivel. Great staff, especially room service and housekeeping AND the front desk. Paid $660 total for 6 nights and never had a better value. Will be returning here for every DC trip.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a room with a panoramic view and it was extremely nice! We had two queen beds and a pull out sofa. There was a refrigerator in the room and a coffee maker. The flat screen TV was large and high quality. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was courteous and friendly. We had to call the desk for extra towels and they arrived to our room very quickly. There is no continental breakfast, but there is a restaurant. There are also several restaurants and coffee places within less than half a mile. I would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip. The rooms are very dated and I couldn’t leave my bathroom door open without a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming through. Sadly, I left my favorite scarf in the room. I called the next day and was told that they would look for it. I called two days after that and was told that it had been found! In fact, the person that I was speaking with described it to me. I was told that they could ship it back to me and was ask…ed to provide credit card information, which I did. She told me that she would send me the tracking number once it was shipped. Two days later, I received a call from loss prevention saying that it was never found and that they would destroy my CC info. Clearly, the scarf was found. The person answering the call identified it and described it back to me. It disappeared at some point after she found it. The loss prevention person became defensive and said that they weren’t responsible for lost or stolen items. Clearly it was my fault for leaving it there, however it was FOUND by housekeeping and turned in! Despite multiple calls to the hotel, they have failed to respond. I wouldn’t have recommended the hotel based on the age and the frequent smell of cigarette smoke, but their customer service is appalling.

Rooms are very nice, but if you require a wheelchair accessible shower this is not the place for you. The accessible shower has a step, you can not roll into it. Also waited over an hour for a crib to be brought up and had to call the front desk multiple times. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Update: We have now been here for 4 nights and housekeeping has yet to change the bedding (claim it's done every 2 days), calling to have the sheets changed and they came up and handed me clean sheets! Would not stay here again.

We got the deluxe suite which was pretty nice, but not too different from the standard room aside from the mini kitchen. Deluxe suite had a big L shaped couch so you could put your feet up. The TV swivels around so you can either watch from the TV or couch. The TV had options to connect external devices which is always a must for me. The mini kitchen had a mini fridge and larger sink which was convenient. There were a lot of cabinets in the kitchen which I wish had plates or something in it. Overall great stay for a really great price, will definitely be visiting again!

Clean room. Friendly, efficient staff even late at night. My wife and I arrived at nearly midnight and got checked in quickly with no issues. With a smile, no less. Room service was top notch. Anything we had questions about, the concierge was always able to help. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be back.

Amazing hotel! Truly felt like I was at home! Loved this hotel. I stay in hotels about 15 nights a month as a flight attendant and this is definitely going down as one of my top 5 favorite hotels. The design is so unique and modern yet comfortable and chic! Rooms have fridges just not microwaves. But I will definitely be back!

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Great ameneties, lots of cozy nooks to hang out on, and the flat panels are on spinning mounts. Breakfast is a bit odd. Its self service, but there are waiters that you have to tip for the serving you worse coffee than in the room. Would probably still give 4 or 5 stars.

Hotel was very modern and clean. Upon arrival check in was easy and friendly. Our room had a beautiful rose petal heart arrangement on our bed, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries placed as soon as we walked in was amazing. Only reason I am giving a 4 is because the elevator took forever to come to our floor, the two times I called the operator there was no answer, and we wete told our complementary breakfast ended at 12. We got to the Nova restaurant at 11 and they were closed, buzz kill. But we had a good stay, pleasant and a good get away for a night!

This hotel is magnificent! Super clean, you get that luxurious feel as soon as you step in to check in. Front desk lady was super nice and welcoming. I was attending with my family a group of 10 or so and We all loved it. Only down side was you couldn't make any noise because people near you would complain to the front desk downstairs. But hey we understood that because people were on vacation and wanted to relax. But overall you feel safe, and your surroundings are clean. (This was on August 12, 2017)

We could not be happier with our stay at the Hyatt Regency. We had a sick relative living in a neighboring community. Despite the stress of these trips, the management and staff made us feel at home and comfortable every moment. Theresa and Tamara made sure our every need was met and your housekeeping staff (Elida) kept our room spotless, daily provided the extra towels and other amenities we requested after only one request. While not a super luxury resort, we were made to feel as if we were in our own home… or at an intimate, upscale Bed and Breakfast. We also want to compliment the Executive Chef. The breakfast buffet, hamburgers, corn chowder (oh my God, the corn chowder! ) Gaucho steak, arugula salad were all simply incredible. The meals were exquisite, filling and quickly delivered. The staff at the bar and restaurant were equally friendly and charming. This kind of performance following a single visit might be considered a fluke but we have been twice in one month and experienced not a single misstep. We will be returning within the week and look forward to staying at your property.

I visited DC last weekend. It was wonderful staying here at Hyatt Regency. Great service staff good communication. Awesome neat and clean rooms and facilities. I don’t know why people gave one star I will give all 5 and definitely Recommend if you are traveling DC area as it’s hardly 30min drive from monuments and even close metro station.

We absolutely LOOOVE this place! The front desk staff is amazing and kitchen staff is so friendly. Everyone greets you by name and is so personable. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Highly recommend to everyone.

Great service. The space between beds is not much but the rooms include a sitting area with a sofa-bed so the rooms themselves are not cramped. The showers are will be difficult for excessively tall people.

My company sponsored a small happy hour in a nice little area next to the bar. The room was large enough for our group but very long and narrow. The staff was very polite and did a great job.

Good clean room. We didn't explore the hotel to see what all was offered, but we slept comfortably. It was quiet, without any issues in the room. Hotel access from the freeway was rather easy, and the surrounding area is very nice. I would stay there again.

Rooms are good and neat. Couch can be modified as a bed. Fridge and coffee maker in the room but no oven in the room. A common oven present near the front desk.

A really nice hotel, enjoyed the stay. Only issue we faced is some really strange banging noises from different places in the room, might be because they are supposedly doing renovations… But otherwise its great and the people are super nice… Highly recommended…

Stayed at this place twice now. Booked through hotwire and got it cheaper than their advertised price. Very clean. Pleasant staff. Big rooms. Only down side is that there was no free breakfast, but free parking and internet. And not too far from DC.

Well at first glance this hotel looked so amazing me and my fiance went away for the weekend and we pulled up like wow this beautiful and the pics was awesome we walk in and the lobby was top notch the front desk staff was nice and friendly very professional as we was walking down the hall I noticed the carpet condition needed cleaning very disturbing for a hotel of this caliber but I got pass it til every carpet was filthy next we get to the room it was nice a bit small for a king size room but nice it was a bit stuffy so we turn the air on then went to the pool my favorite part of our stay as I was there a lot thru out the weekend so returning back to our room and it still was warm contacted the front desk and notified them they said maintenance was coming know one showed up we just said for get and enjoyed our night the next day we left because we was told they had complimentary breakfast which was a lie so we got back later that day and it was so hot in the room once again call the front desk this time a guy came up and told me it's hot due to the window curtain being open so I guess the hot air blowing has nothing to do with it and the thermometer was on 60 smh one of the worst stays we ever had and we travel alot then I was told my $80 hold on my bank card would be returned immediately and 5 days later I'm still waiting on my refund smh overall disappointed especially this being a well know hotel it didn't live up to the expectations don't no if we would come back.

Room was OK not great especially given the price. Charge for "premium" internet access, either offer free internet or don't. TV was grainy/staticy.

The boyfriend and I travel for a living and stay at many hotels across the US. We stayed here for one night. Front desk staff were professional and friendly, hotel lobby was nice. Room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable. For these reasons I would have liked to give a better review. Unfortunately there were several things that made our stay so uncomfortable that we will not be staying here again. There was no climate control whatsoever. The only option on the "thermostat" in our room was high/low fan. No AC or heat. We turned the fan down to 60 degrees and still the vents only poured out lukewarm air. We had a sweaty uncomfortable night here. And the morning sun coming through the windows upped the temperature as well. Very uncomfortable, sleepless stay. We couldn't get out of the room fast enough that morning. The room was incredibly, inexplicably loud. Room 1025 is haunted, perhaps? Random knocking noises, rattling from the vents, thumping and cracking noises from the floor, something that sounded like a drum in the walls in the early morning. I was wearing 32 decibel earplugs and could hear all of this through them. My boyfriend hadn't brought earplugs and was unable to sleep. Not how we wanted to start our five hour drive the next day, exhausted and honestly kinda freaked out. There was no hairdryer. A Hyatt Regency with no hairdryers in 2016. Come ON. A big "screw you" to anyone who wanted to look good for that special event.

Very good front desk staff, fast and courteous. We had a "panorama" room which gave us a great view, and the room was clean and well taken care of. Comfortable bed, too.

Nice location, good sized rooms. My major issue was that the aircon was not working. It took two calls and 1.5 hours for them to look into it. Finally they did manage to sort it out, so we were finally able to get a good night's sleep.

Amazing rooms! The staff is super friendly, and willing to give extra towels and other items like washcloths. The bar is really good, as is the food (even the takeaway)!

Nice hotel, but not very "homey". I have always seem hyatt as a very nice and expensive hotel, but was nothing more than a Red Roof Inn that sells bottles of water for $3 and if you decide to get a very small drink of milk or oj in the morning, be prepared to be hunted down by a "waitress" that will make you pay $15 and do the full breakfast even if you don't want to. The rooms are not crisp and clean, the cabinets and sink are just really worn down and beat up.

Stayed during the blizzard. The rooms were nice and staff was nice but ordering food in the restaurants were horrible. It seemed as of the waitress forgot about us and we sat for at least 40min before anyone came back to the table to check on us or refill our drinks. Also everything was overpriced. Hopefully this nice hotel can make some changes.

Great location to a myriad of dining and shopping locations. Quiet area. Hotel is very clean and staff is excellent. Food is good, fitness center does the trick.

This hotel just rings high class. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are a little small though. But its only used for sleeping anyhow. We had a gathering of 10 people and that was definitely too much. Room is only made for 2.

It was a good stay. Everything went very smoothly. I stayed on the 17th through 19th of November.

This hotel was booked as part of a wedding group. First impressions of the hotel was great. Walked in to an updated lobby the staff was friendly got checked in. Got off the elevator to an out dated hall the was in need of repair. When we got to our room it was renovated but the wallpaper was falling off in a few areas and the air conditioner wasn't working properly. The next day there was a smell down the hallway down to the pool and although they were trying to address it later in the afternoon it was still pretty rank to where my three year old, after leaving the pool was smelling like the smell. The Breakfast buffett was decent but not for the price. With them being associated with Starbucks I would expect the coffee to be better. I'd stay here again but would not be my first option and would book on Expedia or a bargain site not for full price.

My room reeked of cigarettes and when I told the front desk they just said ok sorry and that was it. The service at the bar was basically non-existent and the towels in my room were dirty. I was extremely unimpressed.

Service at the bar was terrible. We waited 15 minutes for a bartender to show up and were then told he kitchen was closing in 2 minutes despite the welcome pamphlet claiming it as open another 30 minutes. Food took forever to show up and only saw the bartender twice.

Walls are paper thin and you can't even talk to your spouse on your special vacation without noise complaints. I was extremely upset.

The room furniture was old, worn and extremely dirty. I was moved twice 2 rooms and saw three rooms all were dusty, dirty, the sofa were so dirty that you could not sit on them and the bed frames were disgusting. And the rooms smelled. They had no handicap rooms that had 2 beds and to accommodate my name need for 2 beds for a handicap person and someone else the manager suggested that we purchase 2 adjoining rooms for a fee of course. The lobby was great but the pictures on their website was truly misleading.

Staying here currently and there are ZERO vending machines throughout its 14 floors. I called the desk to ask where I can get a Coke, and they tell me their vending is on the 1st floor. I got down there and there was a C-store that was unattended and doesn't sell coke products, or even a normal snack. They also advertise they offer transportation around the area, but don't count on it. They don't do it during normal "high traffic" hours, and then they quit at 8pm. I was also expecting nicer for a Hyatt. Other than the room being bigger than a normal hotel room, you can find better quality in a Best Western, Marriott, or Holiday Inn, don't let the Hyatt name fool you. I travel to the DC area often for work and will not stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for the weekend to get away from our kids while they stayed with their grandparents, and I have to say our stay at this hotel was the most relaxing and peaceful two days I've had in a long time. I think the best way to encapsulate my stay in this hotel is by telling the story of our first day. We checked in Friday night and didn't do much but sleep. In the morning I got up before my wife as I always do and went down to the Hotel's gym for my morning work out. I did my usual routine as the gym is equipped with all the basic gym gear you need. It took me about an hour and half to get through my cycle and on my way out, since the gym was next to the pool, I decided to take a dip (after a short shower of course). The sun was shining and the pool water was glistening. The cold helped me cool my body down after my workout and when I pulled myself up the ledge of the pool, I saw my wife walking to a bench getting ready for a tan. I joined her and the sun was perfect. It was a perfect morning and to top it off we were given a pretty tasty breakfast. I feel like that should help sum up the atmosphere and feel that this hotel gives you and my wife and I will definitely be returning soon to have another mini vacation from our little devils haha.

The facility itself is not quite up to the standard of other Hyatts. Room furniture tends to be a little dinged up, and the TV / drawer console they use to divide the rooms is awkward to get around (you can tell they get kicked and bumped a lot). However the larger suites are very nice, and the staff is first-rate as you'd expect at any Hyatt. Acres of free parking too.

We had a meeting here! What a great hotel! Everyone was so nice. Plus the food was great! Can't wait for my next meeting there.

One of the worst hotel in business. This hotel claims 4 star rating but, I don't see how. First thing I noticed is that due to the age of hotel it desperately needs remodling. Elevators are all scratched up, hallways needs overhaul, rooms are so dated, noisy AC units, nasty funitures, Everything about the rooms shows poor workmanship throughout. Currently, this hotel feels like motel 6. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

A great room away from home. Breakfast in the mornings is a great package with the room when booking. Otherwise, don't bother, it is overpriced. I find the service very good, though slow sometimes. Definitely recommend.

July 2011 my family and I stayed at Hyatt for 14 days, the first time we ever have been abroad to US and what a hollyday we had at Hyatt Fairlake, outstanding friendly service from all employd at Hyatt, and they have me and my family´s warm recommandation. Thanks Hyatt.
