Amazing. Everyone knows your name. Service and food wonderful. Beautiful views of the Potomac River. Walking paths and boats to rent across the street. Amazing rooftop bar. (A treat but $50.00 per person minimum). The food is wonderful. Order the steak for two. You won't be sorry. The Kennedy Theatre is a 5 minute walk down stairs from the hotel. If you are not able to walk you will have to take the long way around about 30 minutes or a taxi. Only downfall is that their elevator is broken and it is near impossible to use their temporary wheelchair ramp. Too steep and too short. My friend nearly fell out of the wheelchair a few times. Other than that it was nice to stay there.

This is an amazing hotel. When we arrived, Max greeted us and got us checked in even before check in time. He was kind enough to give us a map of the city and make some reccomendations as well. The staff were all extremely pleasant as well. The room was clean and the turn down service was a nice surprise. We went to the rooftop bar at night and not only was it gorgeous up there but the drinks were good and there was a good crowd. In the morning we ordered room service which was super quick and the food was delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice was my favorite part. There was a little line to check out but not a terrible wait and the valet had the car ready to go when it was time to leave. Overall, I will definitely be going back to this hotel the next time I stay in D. C.

Terrible Stay! To be fair, the room is nice, but the wall is thin. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. The first 2 nights Our next door neighbor’s babies’ crying and screaming woke us up in the early morning (6am). We have small children at home too, so we understand. But as far as enjoying our stay, that part (thin wall) didn’t meet our expectations. The worst part was the last day of our stay. Our neighbor on the other side had birthday party from midnight to close to 5am in the morning: talking, laughing, yelling in the hallway. We called the front desk at 3:30am and the security came up at 4:40am, and by that time, the party was pretty much over. We didn’t sleep at all that night, which totally ruin our plan the next day. We were exhausted the next morning. The checkout time is 12. We were trying to get a couple of hours’ sleep in in the morning, but the housekeeping ignored our ‘do not disturb ‘ light on and knocked on our door to wake us up. We requested the hotel to take one night fare off, but they refused but only took off the resort fees. Will not recommend this hotel at all.

The service here was great and the hotel itself was very nice. It has been recently remodeled and was in a great place of town for where we needed to be. It is a couple minute walk from the Kennedy Center too. The room service food was very good, but was definitely not cheap! Overall The Watergate Hotel is an amazing place to stay and I would stay there again for sure. (While you’re there, make sure you check out the mini museum they have set up from the Watergate Scandal! )

Visited the whiskey bar after a jazz performance at Kennedy center. Great place to sit and enjoy drinks while talking with friends. Waitress heard it was my daughter's birthday and brought us a complimentary round of champagne. Excellent drinks and friendly service. Bar has impressive walls of whiskey bottles.

Oh My God… I never thought I would be pampered in Washington D. C the way I get pampered in Dubai. I love this hotel. Obviously the most important hotel historically and the spa, breakfast, and the rooms were just perfect. The only issue though is they don't have a good variety for lunch and dinner meals. Oh well…

This place is pretty cool. Very modern and posh. Efficient elevators in the lobby where you punch in your floor and it assigns you an elevator with your floor already selected. Rooms were clean and I like the shower with the rain shower head. Pressure is great, water is really hot. There is a pool and it was empty when we went along with a hot tub which my kids enjoyed. There is an outside pool, but as you can see in my pictures it was empty. The staff is really friendly. The have free coffee and tea in the lobby by the elevators. The only complaint is the AC is pretty loud.

The location is great, the reception staff and restaurant are very helpful and kind. However, I had a hard time with house keeping. I needed to call the room service every day to remind them to come and make the room. There were days when the cup of coffee got dirty in the room for more than a day. Besides, there is a sensor in the room that after a few hours all the lights go out automatically. For a 5 start hotel, I expected much better service.

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon weekend (Jan. 12 — 15) at The Watergate Hotel. We had an excellent stay! Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly at seated at the King Bird. Timothy treated us with great respect and was very excited for us. He made sure that we received an upgraded room with river view and balcony. He also sent us a sweet congratulations card with champagne. The King Bird is a beautify designed restaurant that offers delicious and unique dinning options. Raimey and our waiter Jaimie were so happy for us. They made sure we always had a great dining experience at the restaurant. They were very sweet and loving towards us. They literally celebrated the start to our marriage with us by giving us free champagne and dessert. Champagne sure is a food group! They also took their time to get to know us! The entire time I felt comfortable dining at the King Bird. The spa is simply beautiful. We enjoyed their massage services and had a relaxing time throughout our stay. The Watergate Hotel and their staff made sure we had a relaxing, beautiful, and simply an excellent stay! Highly recommended!

My first — time there and I could not have enjoyed it more! The staff really works to make you feel special/ top-notch customer service! The room was great — bedding like a cloud, bathroom was AWESOME as was the Whiskey Bar. Definitely going back and make a reservation at Martin’s Tavern in Georgetown!

Great location, room looked recently renovated. Very cool looking and yet still had a retro feel. They have a valet and a bag guy to help you.

Valet was quick and very nice. The Ballroom had a modern look and dexorated elegantly for the event. Servers and staff were available and helpful whenever needed. Highly recommend hosting an event at the hotel!

Hotel was nice and the rooms were clean. My only issues were that the entrance is easy to overlook and there is almost nowhere to park. They have valet parking but it's $50 a night.

Very nice hotel, but I think you're paying for the history and the view. The room was nice, but if it was worth the money spent for the hotel is up to individual opinion. I would return, however.

Better than I expected. Rooms are updated and comfortable, and short walk to Old Georgetown (15 minutes) and Kennedy Center (5 minutes through the courtyard). Restaurant is bright, spacious, and entrees are good. Hit buffet food is barely warmer than room temperature, average and typical fare. Lobby bar is noisey and has limited seating.

For a special appointment. No doubt. Expensive.

Beautiful, famous place. Obviously it's expensive, but it's totally worth visiting to say you've been there. Gorgeous architecture and great cocktails.

The remodeled Watergate Hotel is very nice, rooms are slightly smaller than I was lead to believe, even for a "deluxe" room. Spa and indoor heated pool are very nice, and the bar is definitely something that everyone should experience if staying in DC. My stay however, was dampered by the service provided and responses of the management to said service on the second night of my stay. Early in the evening I called the front desk to ask for a bucket of ice to be brought to my room, as there are no ice machines in the hotel, I was told it would be brought up "right away". Twenty minutes later, nothing, so I call the front desk to ask what is going on, and receive the standard, "oh it can sometimes take a while", fine, she says she will call and send some ice right up. Forty minutes after that, still no ice. So I call down again, same standard response, "they take a bunch of orders up at once. It can take some time", well now this is ridiculous. An hour and a half after the first call down for ice, I go down to the front desk in person to find out what is going on. I talk to a manager, who is very disdainful of my request, sends a concierge to get my ice, and briefly apologizes before returning to whatever task is so much more important than customer service. It's ridiculous that at a "luxury" hotel such as the Watergate, I have to wait over an hour, and call multiple times, to get a bucket of ice. Completely ruined my night of celebrating, have you ever had warm champagne?

Very good serbicio of Linpieza on the 10th floor was very helpful the Enpleada.

I attended a cookie decorating class with the wife and kids. The staff did a great job managing several young children and their parents. After the class, the kids went ice skating on the roof. We all had a great time.

I booked my hotel stay selecting the premier king with balcony. I selected this room assuming all the rooms had a tub per the pictures on the website. During the online booking process where you are allowed to select packages such as spa amenities and food & beverage amenities. I selected the champagne package. I tried to modify my stay online after purchasing a room and couldn’t do so. I called the hotel number in the email twice and got no response. I emailed reservations and never got a response. I decided to wait until the day of check in to make these changes. When I arrived to the hotel at 2:45pm it wasn’t busy at the time. Valet watched me pull up, I had to remove my own luggage. Someone did eventually issue me a parking ticket. I had to struggle to get through the front doors with luggage in both hands. I get to the front desk to check in. Check in was quick, and I finally ventured to my premier king room with balcony. I was shocked to see that there is no tub, just a shower. I didn’t want to argue or call the front desk and just accepted the room hoping my champagne and macaroons would come soon to lighten my mood. An hour passes and it never comes, at the two hour mark I call the front desk and request they check my online request for the champagne package. The front desk employee tells me it is not listed, and that she didn’t even know such package existed?

Excellent stay! From the front desk staff at check in to the doorman retrieving our car when we left, everybody at this hip stylish hotel was cheerful, professional, and efficient. The staff combined with a cool mid mod vibe and big comfortable rooms make this a stellar place at which l look forward to staying again.

Nice view cool spot. Cocktails are good but the presentation sucks. I ordered a Moscow mule and instead of being served in a copper mug it was served in a plastic cup… seriously? A $16 cocktail in a plastic cup, come on. I thought maybe it was just a fluke so got another cocktail, a pineapple one. Again in a plastic cup. It detracts from the experience to have nice drinks served in cheap plastic cups. It's not a frat party it's a rooftop bar.

Room has great view of the Potomac at sunset. No ice machines, must call to request. Sheets on bed are okay quality. Nice turndown service available. Complimentary waters provided. Great location between Georgetown and Capitol Hill. Kennedy Center is close by also.

Service from staff was fantastic and all details of the stay were well taken care of. The decor is modern, yet retro and the rooms public spaces are very comfortable. Great river and city views from the room and an overall amazing experience. It was a little bit confusing finding the hotel entrance at first, but that's the only thing that wasn't perfect about the stay.

I attended a professional event at The Watergate, spending time at the hotel's restaurant, Kingbird, as well as in the hotel's boardroom. The restaurant is fantastic: the service is impeccable, the food absolutely delicious, and the surroundings welcoming. The outdoor patio is particularly nice on evenings where the weather is suitably cool, with a lovely view of the DC area. 10/10, would return. The professional meeting itself was in the hotel's boardroom which was perfectly functional if slightly dated. The furniture choices could be rethought: the chairs were more form than function and were low compared to a relatively high table. My colleagues who were staying at the hotel have the same feedback. The hotel provided pens in the boardroom, cheekily emblazoned with the statement, "This pen stolen from The Watergate. " However my pen broke literally upon first picking it up. Needless to say I left it behind. All in all, a very nice hotel with quite a reputation and somewhere I would happily return.

Really enjoyed staying there. Wonderful staff. Interesting 60s decor, but modern, clever plays on Watergate scandal. Nice rooms. Rideshares had a really hard time finding us though. Walkable for the area, nice river views, convenient to downtown. I'd stay there again.

Lovely large hotel with fantastic view of the Potomac River and Georgetown. They work hard at maintaining a consistently high class environment. Not particularly kid friendly. Front desk & Bellmen are helpful and well trained.

The hotel itself is extremely classy, with staff on hand pretty much everywhere you turn. The hotel features several bars, including a roof top bar that offers a perfect view of the waterfront area. The whiskey bar downstairs is adorned with walls of bottles That are sure to tickle your cravings.

The hotel is going for an upscale vibe but still a good place for a vacation stay. Roof top bar provides good views over the river. The front desk staff stand out because they were always very courteous and attentive. They display a level of training that is unusual when compared to other 3-4 star establishments. The history pushed the decision to stay here but the accommodations would make me want to return.

Our stay at the Watergate was a blast. We were able to get a very reasonable rate. From the moment you walk in the hotel exudes class. The interior decoration and lighting is very cool, and this is continued into the rooms. I'm sure some of the nicer rooms are even better. The bed was very comfy. We don't use the pool but they both looked nice. The gym looked very nice as well. The location is pretty good in relation to Georgetown as well as the National Mall. Ask about their complementary bikes! They have 6 available and they are first come first serve. I imagine you may have to be up fairly early on weekends to snag them, but we had no trouble getting them at 9 on a Monday. As far as I know, our room was not wiretapped.

The view and vibe was fantastic. Had reserved seating with three other people and the night started off great. Drinks and food came out quickly but unfortunately the service became non-existent as the night went on. The times we did get drinks, we had to chase down a server or the manager. I would come back for the view and a quick drink at the bar, but I will not be paying the $50 minimum per person for the reserved seating again as the lack of service made it nearly impossible to meet the minimum without ordering the most expensive drink options.

WOW! First class from top to bottom. The room was brand new and spotless. The bathroom and shower are pure luxury. Awesome water view from the room and roof top bar. There are three bars, so finding a drink is super easy. They even had bed turn down service where housekeeping made the bed, changed out dirty towels and placed a bed side mat with slippers while I was out during the day. Really nice hotel at a very reasonable cost.

There was beautiful views from the restaurant. The food is phenomenal. A great place to have cocktails with friends. I would definitely come back here to entertain friends and colleagues.

I've only been to the rooftop bar here, but it was worthwhile experience. I enjoyed going to the rooftop, getting to have the panoramic view and sipping on my cocktail. Service is good, but there are some downsides. First of all, it's cold and windy up there. Bring a coat and sit next to the heaters. Second, it's overpriced. Don't go there expecting a $10 craft cocktail. Everything is more expensive because you are paying for the view. Good experience to do one time.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The bar area looked awesome with the wall made of bottles. We were able to move to fire lit tables outside and enjoy a smoke with our cocktails. When we moved out there, the staff came to us for drink orders. We didn't have to go back to the bar! Great experience!

Nice location in a good area of the city. I recommend this location. It has an upscale feeling to it. The staff are very accommodating, they are dressed to impress and very helpful. This establishment is also very clean with a parking garage for safe parking.

The only reason why I booked it is because it was claimed to be a 5 star hotel. Looked nice at first but they had a faulty toilet in room 1001. The only thing that was done is put a plunger to it. Went to use it again and it did the same thing. I let the front desk know that there must be some kind of water pressure issue. As we were leaving their maintenance guy was going in. Very welcoming staff.

A newly renovated hotel at the old watergate hotel complex. This place was the site of the Watergate scandal. The decor is brand new and nicely done in a modern style. We had a room with a great view of the Potomac River. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Spa was being finished off as we arrived but we still had a chance to use it. Good location… Able to walk to Lincoln memorial and 5 minutes from local metro.
