Hands down best run hotel in all of D. C. Many many upgrades recently and it's amazing! I travel for work and stay almost exclusively in hotels and when in the area I try my best to stay at this particular one.

I stayed at the Residence Inn on December 31. We were greeted by a rude valet who told us that it was going to be $50 to park. He did not say welcome to Marriott or anything. The front desk staff was not helpful. We called several times to complain about the noise in the adjacent room. Security came by to ask them to shut the music down. The second time we called the desk and the worker said it was not her problem because it was New Years Eve. A few minutes later a fight broke out in the room next door. Still nothing was done. The desk staff, security and valet need to improve their customer service.

They're rooms is clean the towel and others are clean you can do it. What you need to eat in the kitchen spacious with all you need " complete" very nice staff are friendly. Very nice. Thanks.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was ok. Sheets were stiff and pillows flat. When we walked into the hallway there was a strong smell of weed! That was a total surprise. Hotel is a short distance to Whole Foods and restaurants. There is a full kitchen complete with dishes. The floor we were on was quiet.

Great location. Nice breakfast included in the room price. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous! Rooms leave a little to be desired. Clean but definitely worn.

Just got back from a 3 nite stay @ this hotel. In summary. STAFF — Great! LOCATION — Very upscale part of town, very safe, very close to Metro station, very close to Whole Foods, Starbucks and a ton of restaurants. ROOMS — Ours was very large and super spacious! Well maintained, but a tad older construction. BREAKFAST — Good selection of foods, but taste was so-so. All in all, would definitely stay there again.

Of all the Residence Inns I've stayed at, this was by far the best. It felt like a real Marriott and the amenities were much better than most. Thumbs up!

I came to visit this Residence Inn because my fiance was in DC for work. I decided to drive up so I could bring the dogs, who are allowed to stay here with us! The location is fantastic! Right next to the metro and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and other sights. The staff here is super friendly, too. They have a lot of options for breakfast, but somehow they didn't have bacon during the nights I stayed here : (I can't speak to the price since my fiance's work covered the costs. They also have a rooftop pool that we didn't use, but would be pretty sweet. Great experience!

Great location. We were in town for a show at the Kennedy Center and we're able to walk! Found a great restaurant CIRCA around the corner. Room was spacious and we'll appointed. Breakfast with Mimosas and a lot of variety. Would stay again!

I am a Marriott reward member. I chose this hotel as they offer free breakfast and they have rooms available with a kitchenette which is a must when I am in DC for work for extended time. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. A staffer noticed that I would be on an extended stay so she reserve a corner room for me with as little distraction as possible. That staff member is going above and beyond with her duties and is very commendable. My room is clean and to my liking as usual. Happy hour was great and was plenty as a light dinner for me. I appreciate the saving in my meal expense, of course.

Clean rooms. They were good sized and very comfortable. Hotel was clean and staff were courteous and helpful. Location was very good for our needs. Would have liked more options for breakfast.

Reasonable rates. Great breakfast fare. Near the Kennedy Center and GW Medical Center and Hospital.

This hotel was surprisingly wonderful. I always expect a certain quality from Marriott properties, but the rooms here are top notch, updated, and super comfy. The breakfast was decent for a quick meal or just to tide you over, but with so many great options in this city, don't waste your appetite unless you have to. Another nice touch is freshly brewed coffee all day. The Courtyard that's a few blocks away is a little trendier, but I will certainly be staying here again if the price is right!

Very clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Huge suite — much bigger than I expected (and needed) for the price. Very decent typical hotel breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location.

Nice rooms in an excellent location, a 10 minute walk to the Lincoln memorial. Complete breakfast layout in the morning. Cosy beds and pillows for night.

Very good location — 10 minutes to the White House. Room clean and large. Good breakfast, but little space in the lobby. Only valet parking (40 dollars a day) or if you have good luck, anywhere on the roadside possible.

With it's location by GWU and (more importantly) the Foggy Bottom Metro stop, this is a great place to house your acation or travel for work. It offers simple hotel rooms and suites with fully functional kitchenettes. I recently spent eight nights at this place and everything worked out well with food and space. Its basically your traditional Marriot hotel, but because of it's grand location VERY close to the Metro, you instantly have access to all of Washington D. C. The Smithsonian Museums, the National Mall, and the monuments, and wherever you need to go for work. The staff are friendly and the room cleaners are very thorough. If you are traveling to Washington D. C. I recommend the Residence In by Marriot for your vacationing and working needs. Have a great trip. It is our nation's capital. :)

Decent room. But their Wi-Fi is so slow. It's won't work if you want to have a video call. Not really a suitable business hotel.

Very good selection of nighttime lobby snacks. Rooms were fine except no ventilation in the bathroom for steam. Location was great. Was able to walk to the Lincoln Memorial in just a few minutes with no hassle at night.

The room was very affordable and spacious, especially for the the area. Close proximity to the big monuments and other important places; right next to the Kennedy center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. On Christmas, they offered a very nice dessert and drink service which was much appreciated.

It's all about location for this place. Close to Metro and State with a Whole Foods two blocks away make it an excellent choice. Easy to walk just about everywhere.

Mrs. GERI and the entire staff are the best. Breakfast provides options for the non meat eaters and the Happy Hour has a decent selection of Beer and Wine.

The rooms are beautiful, beds and pillows are soft, the coffee is a little weak. There's a nearly complete kitchen which was great and I utilized it daily. There are no ovens in the rooms. I had a large pan and pot both not non stick. The cleaners are very polite, the front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. They have provided breakfast. Everything is super clean. My couch wasn't that comfortable but the beds make up for it.

Friendly staff, large apartment style rooms for a reasonable price, excellent breakfast options included in room price. Close to many downtown restaurants and bars. Fifteen minute walk to the White House or Lincoln Memorial.

Short walk to the Kennedy Center and to the metro either at Foggy Bottom or Dupont. Room was big, clean, and quiet. No room service or bar, but knew that going in. Will stay there again.

Very close to Foggy Bottom metro. Just a 2 minutes walk. The hotel provides breakfast which is good and filling. Rooms are nice, built in appartment style. Overall good experience.

I stayed here for a several days when I was between apartments. The staff and front desk were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful for my entire stay. It felt like a home away from home.

Great location, nice rooms. Delightful neighborhood, accessible to everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly, the man who helped with our bags even invited my nephew to hop on the luggage cart while he pushed it! Roof top pool looked delightful but small, but we didn't get to experience it because it closed too early for us. Breakfast was great, large selection, well stocked. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold.

Sleeper sofa was broken the first night and could not be fixed by multiple employees and had to wait until the next night to have it replaced. Pool closed at 8 which was way too early and also of there was one drop of rain in the morning or would be closed for the rest of the day even when it was 95 degrees out. Other then that was pretty good. A little far from many of the monuments and had to take cabs around town. Loved the free drinks and breakfast tho!

We had a great stay there last week. The host, Lorenz, was great. He was knowledgeable about the area and provided great customer service. This hotel is perfectly located to get some peace and quiet away from the tourist areas, but still has great access to place by walking at the Foggy Bottom Metro. You are close to the Kennedy Center and the Watergate Complex. The rooms are spacious and clean. The free breakfast was adequate and they also had different mixers in the evenings for hotel guest. We will definitely consider Residence Inn for future stays. The only negative was they have a small rooftop pool, but it's a rooftop pool. :)

Conveniently located to all historical places and restaurants. Walking distance to Lincoln memorial. Should have been some more space for parking (loading / unloading). Valet parking is taken care of. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast had lot of options. We had great time.

Within walking distance to several areas of interest and the Metro. Found it very easy to get around dc from this location. The staff we're friendly and informative. We enjoyed our stay and the daily breakfast very much. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the room, loved the pool, loved the wonderful and lively people that ran the hotel. I had a good time staying there.

Good location and nice rooms. Breakfast has plenty of options and the rooftop pool is neat. However, the pool is not like the picture (looks can be deceiving) and the front desk customer service could improve.

An average hotel, with very high prices and breakfast just uneatable. You can not pay so much money for a room that is not seen anywhere. Reminded me my old student days.

I got my room on the hotels tonight app. For 150, and it was a very nice room in a great location… especially for that price… friendly staff, and the rooms come with everything you need for either a short or an extended stay. Dish washer, full fridge, free Wi-Fi, cups, plates, silverware, and much much more.

Hotel staff was very friendly, valet was prompt, room was very clean. Only overnight for 1 night but would stay again.

Location is convenient to foggy bottom metro. Rooms are very nice, spacious (suite), full kitchen, room was in 7th floor. They have complimentary breakfast and an evening snack thing. The service is prompt and friendly and super respectful, always greets you and are super nice. Very good experience would stay again.

Large room, sufficient power outlets, clean. Breakfast was particularly good for a hotel free breakfast. Parking was valet only, which is inconvenient.

It's a very warm and cosy place. Close proximity to most offices such as world bank, IFC. Good breakfast. Fully equipped pantry also enable you to prepare, heat n eat food of your choice

Great place to stay, love suite rooms. Great location and friendly staff. They make you feel welcome. I loved the fact that they provided light dinners now and again. My suggestion on the menu is that it could have been a bit more health conscious (too much starch and not enough veggies and fruit). What was provided was very good. There is something wrong with the AC units. I had to move 3 times. I stayed with them during winter and the AC were not up to the task. Noisy AC or warm in one room and cold in the other or just no warm enough in either room. Nice little gym going and excellent laundry facilities. Over all very nice place to stay, 3.75 … if the AC was working better I would have given a 4.
