Stayed just one night, but what a fabulous location. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, keep in mind that it's a city hotel. Besides, the rooms are finished to a high spec, with many little extras, so you may not notice how cozy a double bed can be. ;) The door and front desk staff were superb. Looking forward to coming back for a longer visit; The Dupont Circle Hotel will be our D. C. Go-to from now on.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a great hotel! Staff was super friendly and accomodating. Bed was comfy and the room was a good size. Complimentary coffee was decent. Great location. Street parking was surprisingly easy on Sunday night. Gotta start paying at 7am though.

Rooms were very well kept and modern. Comfy bed. Super hot shower. Only problem was the AC never seemed to get down to temperature. Other than that, great hotel. Hope to stay there again some time…

Rooms on the inner side very noisy for the air conditioning compressors. Great service.

Very nice hotel, pleasantly surprised! Location was geat — near lots of restaurants and a nice park. Right next to the train so it was easy to get to as well. Rooms were modern and nice and clean and the bathroom was beautiful! Would stay again.

The Dupont Circle Hotel is in no way a 4 star hotel. From the moment I walked into the hotel I've noticed how old it is, the elevators were old and seemed like they were about to break at any moment. When I walked into my room, I've noticed that there were no curtains whatsoever, only shutters which wouldn't close completely, resulting in light penetrating your room. The windows were not soundproof, that's not something you would expect from a four star hotel. The shower looks like a prison shower, it lacks a door so water could easily go out of the so-called shower and there is also no wand, it was impossible to have a proper shower like that. I called the reception to complain and they didn't put too much attention to my complaint, I was too disgusted to stay in my room so I called again asking to check out after breakfast the following day — they accepted my request, for $200 for the first night, which is overpriced for what this so-called 4 star hotel has to offer. The receptionist was rude and didn't even try to convince me to stay in the hotel. They didn't offer any compensation claiming their compensation was letting me check out earlier, which is stupid. I moved to another hotel, I have no idea how this is 4 stars, let alone how it has so much positive reviews. Stay away.

I stayed at The Dupont Circle and it was such a gem. It's in a pretty convenient location and walkable to many of the sites in Washington. It is a pretty big hotel but has the feels of a boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the lack of view!

Weekend getaway for the two of us. We arrived around 5:00 and promptly was checked in and got to our room. The hotel offers different services that can requested, we had elected to have foam pillows in the room and to have a " sweet treat" added to our stay. Neither was in our room or mentioned when we checked in. We called the front desk and inquired if they had record of those two services. They did and then helped us decide on a time to receive the sweet treats, and get the foam pillows. Well 40 minutes later, I called down for the pillows again and it was obvious that they had forgotten. Within 5 minutes the pillows arrived. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice and the service was perfect. Jackson, our server, was very helpful. Question. … why does a cosmopolitan cost $15.00 in the restaurant and cost $11.00 in the lounge? Doesn't seem right. Well we are staying one more night… we will see.

They bend over backwards to please you. Staff everywhere opening doors for you. Incredible service from all the staff. Unlike anything I've experienced in a while. Ideal location in the heart of everything. Spic and span clean and like new everywhere. Classy and tastefully appointed. Comfortable bed. Management gets an A+. I would recommend this to everyone and will absolutely be back. Love this place.

Very nice decor. Toilet has heated floor so we dont feel cold during winter. Got complimentary water bottle. Even during check in, receptionist offered us water. Love the hospitality and service. Minus 1 star is because during rain, we had some leakage in our room near the window. Overall it's almost perfect stay.

Perfectly located hotel downtown. Classy, without breaking the bank Quiet lounge area with enough of a buzz you don't feel overwhelmed or isolated nice selection of spirits, and knowledgeable bartenders. Comfy cafe Excellent staff from top to bottom Standard rooms are a little tight, not a lot of privacy in the washroom.

It was a real pleasure staying at the Dupont Circle. The room was well appointed with comfortable furnishings. One of the biggest standouts we're the heated floors in the bathroom. We also made use of the cafe downstairs, and the food and service were both good if not a bit pricey. The rest of the wait staff was excellent and professional as well.

Very close to the monuments and museums of interest, you can do everything walking… excellent gastronomic offer all day. The hotel with a very good service, the staff friendly and always willing to help. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very adequate cost-benefit ratio. With daily coffee table free access. Highly recommended!

Great location. Really well-located, right in front of a Metro stop. We had our rooms upgraded for free for our whole group. Service is lovely. The hotel seems slightly in need of work but the lobby is snazzy and the rooms are comfortable. The rooms definitely smelled weird though to all in our group. I carry room spray with me, so easily remedied. Towels were weirdly rough. But again, fantastic location.

It's very nice. You get very good service from the moment you arrive. The bed is big and soft and the Internet is fast.

I really like this hotel. The rooms are very stylish. The decor is nice. Bathrooms have heated tile floors. Refrigerators are available on request. The bar downstairs has a great atmosphere. My primary complaint is with the in-room AV system. I don't know who they contracted to set up the TVs, but my eighth grader could've done a better job. There is a panel to connect your devices to the TV, but I've stayed here for three years running for a conference, and it's never worked properly. Finally, this year out of frustration, I unsecured the TV from the wall and connected all the cables correctly myself. Whoever stays in room 337 next, please send me a tip for IT services rendered. Also, the housekeeping staff repeatedly knocked on my door when the "Do Not Disturb" light was on.

Being right on Dupont Circle, the location is convenient, however the size of the hotel (hallways and rooms) is relatively small. Interesting features, like heated tiles in the bathroom, though ours didn't work. Front desk and support staff were friendly and very helpful with door and bag service, as well as bringing random items like toothpaste to our room. Walls between rooms are paper thin, so noise travels extremely well.

Meeting a friend who was staying at the hotel. The lobby staff were very attentive and friendly to all passing through. Doors were opened, elevators called. The restaurant and bar were full of folks enjoying an evening. With it's prime location right on Dupont Circle, I expect these patrons were not only hotel guests. The rooms are modern, and nicely appointed.

Elegant place and great food. Awesome location just 15 minutes from the mall, lots of restaurants and stores nearby for downtime out of the hotel. Nice comfy beds, too! Wish I'd known about the parking situation. (+$40) Otherwise very satisfied with our stay.

A really well kept and modern hotel that is located in an area that offers lots of activities. It is walking distance to many of the downtown stores and shops. The staff and workers are all really nice and friendly. The hotel restaurant is good, but nothing too special.

A lovely place! It was very clean and all the staff were extremely friendly. The location is optimal for a few good days of sightseeing, especially if you plan to go in foot. The rooms come equipped with heated tile and dimmer switches, and housekeeping is wonderful and thorough. The gym is in the basement, but is extremely well-lit and taken care of. If I do get the chance, I'd love to stay there again!

The location is very central and highly recommended. Subway is right in front of the hotel and next to the hotel there are small cafes and shops. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not bad but nothing exceptionally pretty. The breakfast was Delicious.

We selected to stay at the DuPont circle hotel, over the Columbus Day weekend, based on the positive reviews here. Our experience wasn’t positive at all. When we made the reservation, we called the hotel to inquire about parking and were told that both self and valet parking are available. However, when we arrived at the hotel, self parking wasn’t an option so we gave our car key and went to our room. On the next day, we asked to take a bag we left in the car and to our horror we found out that the valet parked it tightly against a chain link fence. There was no way to get in our out of the car without having the door rub against the fence. Sure enough, when we inspected the door, we found deep scratches, down to bare metal. The hotel manager refused to help us, saying that the valet parking is run by a third party business. We also spoke with the valet manager who offered to wave the parking charges but will not pay for the repair. To add to the disappointment, the room window shutters don’t block the street lights at night and the hotel location is very noisy 24 hours a day.

Really nice hotel, parking was a little steep. The lot across the street was only 25$ overnight which was pretty fair for the neighborhood. Room was great and nice, everything was clean. Would stay again.

This hotel is amazing. Best pillows in the world. Shower is odd… no door… water got on the floor, but the pillows are amazing and the staff is great!

I love hotels and this hotel was FABULOUS! The staff always has a smile on their faces. And the room service was great! Also, the hotel is in a great location. Everything is in walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The restaurant closed after lunch to prepare for dinner. Then reopened for the evening crowd. However food could be ordered and consumed in the very nice bar area. It was busy yet had an easy going atmosphere. Service was moderately fast considering the crowd. The food was excellent.

To be quite honest the stay was impeccable. The services were all top tier. The rooms were good pricing and they were very spacious. The location was in the middle of other businesses so their were things to do. All in all it was an incredible hotel.

I spent most of my time in the lobby because of it's rather spacious and comfy feel. There are many couches and chairs with outlets by them. The lobby is usually fairly empty so it is a nice place to relax. The staff who work in the lobby are very friendly. They always hold doors for you and are willing to assist you in any other way. Even though the rooms are small they are very well furnished and kept very nicely. Even the bottled water inside is complementary. The room service is as expected. The Wi-Fi works fairly well and is free to everyone. Overall it's a very nice hotel for a fair price.

We had issues with our room cooling, and they called me to offer to make it right without me even asking. I had billing questions and they resolved everything quickly. Great stay.

Great Hotel with restaurant and bar downstairs. Very friendly staff. In the room the only flaw is that the bathroom doors are glass, practically transparent. Little convenient for a triple room. The air conditioning in the hallway is very strong, so there is a lot of difference when you come out. Overall we liked it. Nice the option of drinking a hot tea or coffee at breakfast included in the living room. There may be current adapters for European sockets and some extra light in the room. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Great hotel. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The Metro is very close. It was easy to reach downtown DC and even Mount Vernon using public transportation.

Great location. Short walk to shops and shopping centre. The rooms are modern and large. Bathrooms are especially large and beautiful. The only negative is the historic TV set. Great hotel, fast and friendly service.

Nice hotel in great area. The shell of the hotel looks to be old apartment complex but the inside has been remodeled and is very nice. Good restaurant that also has outdoor seating. Front desk, concierge, doormen/valet personnel were all very nice and courteous. Unless I am mistaken, there is no spa or gym. Other than that, I would recommend.

Okay so the service and rooms are really good and stuff but omg the Wi-Fi is terrible like the Wi-Fi is not worth it for the price of this hotel you can't do anything I wrote a 3, 000 word story and the Wi-Fi didn't save it and other stuff so I strongly recommend not to go here if you want Wi-Fi!

Great location and atmosphere. The room was snug and our air conditioner was out. A technician came to try to remedy it, but he could not seem to fix the problem. This led to a hot night and an unpleasant experience.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and neat. The rooms were tight though, and there was no mini fridge to store snacks in. Also the TV was a bit small for a "nice" hotel. Overall though you absolutely cannot argue with the location. It's perfect! Nice for a relaxing business trip or visiting GWU or the surrounding area.

Small but very nice rooms. Comfortable beds. Good location and great staff. Only complaint is slow Wi-Fi and poms can be load so close to the Circle.

The service was really excellent, the staff was kind, helpful, and professional. The location is prime in a bustling area of the city. The rooms were nice, but smaller than I'd prefer. The bathrooms have luxurious heated floors with a very modern atmosphere.

I came here with my father in a business trip and had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean and attended too often. But the hotel wasn't the best part. I have been to DC many times and only ever stayed in and around the capital but Dupont is wonderful. The buildings are nice, the restaurants may be pricey but have great food. And the ability to walk and metro from just outside the hotel is amazing.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I knew that this was the perfect hotel. Initial reviews showed that it was great for its location and great for its convenience, but said nothing about its price or service. I did some light research before making my reservation, but I was not prepared for what I had reserved. For starters, the service is amazing. It's unclear how, but as soon as you check-in for your reservation, every employee in your hotel knows you by first and last name (even without introductions). Every employee holds a smile and is always looking to assist or enhance your stay. I didn't get a single sense of negativity from the hotel staff and was amazed by the atmosphere they created alone. In addition, the rooms were amazing! For a single room on Valentine's Day for $260, I was shocked. The room was spacious, the lighting was perfect, and the bathroom was phenomenal (from heated tile flooring to glass doors to a flat screen TV directly in front of the bed). And lastly was its service. My girlfriend and I saw that our check-in time was at 3:00pm and by the time we showed up at 3:40pm, the front desk had told us that the room was not available yet, but had offered to move us up to another room. It happens in the hotel industry and it's completely understandable, so we had decided to simply wait around until the room was ready.

A Great Base for Tourists Visiting Beautiful DC Area Hotel is right on the north side of the DuPont Circle. Dayonna checked us in with thorough information yet quite efficient. She let us know that in room Coffee/Tea machine was upon request. And they will send it to the room. And we did get our coffee maker set within minutes and she even called to confirm that we got it. It was a very nice touch. They gave us a room with a nice layout which we liked very much. The room was modern, sleek and had many updated amenities like in room safe, minibar, a leather chaise to relax on. Two free bottles of water in room. Bathroom floor was heated even with temperature control that was awesome for the cold winter day. Shower head was very powerful but direction could not be adjusted. There’s a “Do Not Disturb” button on the wall, press the button, a red light next to your room number outside will be lighted that’s interesting and convenient. Even though our room was on 3rd floor but still very quiet since it was facing another wing of the building but we still can see outside Street and trees. A/C and heater worked really well and not noisy at all. White House is only 15 minutes away walking along Connecticut Ave south. There is a CVS right on the southwest side of DuPont Circle. Krispy cream and many bakeries are around the corner, Starbucks and many stores nearby on Connecticut Ave. We took Red Line Metro from Union Station to DuPont Circle, 5 stops only cost $2.

I recommend this place. I am so happy working here the people here all are nice, it is a very peaceful, relaxing place.

The hotel is adequate, expensive, but with a terrible parking contractor for their garage downstairs. If they dent your car, they will argue vehemently they didn't do it with multiple fake proofs and convince hotel management it wasn't their fault. Management takes their side, since they have to live with them. But the customer comes last. And, for the third time, no heat whatsoever in the bathroom by design in the tiny more affordable rooms. I've seen the nice suites on the eighth floor — they are very nice, but incredibly expensive.

We stayed here 4 nights and it was quite pleasurable with a few minor inconveniences. As someone else mentioned, no coffee is provided in the room; it's downstairs until 10am. The fridge is full of their minibar stuff, so there's no room to put anything of your own. The door to the toilet/shower is partially frosted glass, which may be a little disconcerting for people who prefer complete privacy. The heated bathroom floor was very nice, though not necessary at the time we stayed. The AC was good and fairly quiet. The bed was not the most amazing hotel bed I've ever slept in, but nothing to complain about. We were just on the second floor but could not hear the very noisy hotel bar from our room. Staff were professional and friendly. The hotel is super close to the metro station, a rent-a-bike rack, many good restaurants, and a 24-hour pharmacy.

The room and the whole hotel are lovely. The thing that stood out though was the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I've never experienced such superb customer service. They were never intrusive but always there with answers to simple and complex questions. They were ready and eager to serve and make our stay a most memorable experience. If you want to be treated with respect and courtesy, stay at this hotel.

I stayed at the hotel 3/6/14-3/8/14 with my mother-in-law. We just wanted a little get-away to relax and catch up. The room was awesome. We had a room with double beds and it was quite large. The bathroom was amazing with the heated floors and double shower heads. Only thing missing was coffee in the room. There was coffee in the lobby in the morning. That was a tad inconvenient. We ate at the bar/restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and the food was very good. We also went down to the bar one evening for drinks and enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this hotel. I know if coming to this area again I would definitely stay there again.
