Very nice view nest to the Capital.

The moment we checked in it was like we were VIP’s. The staff is amazing. Alan, Clement, Dennis, Denny, April and Chef Orlando were so accommodating and made us feel so special. We travel a lot and this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back! 5 Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful area hotel is very nice spacious rooms and very modern.

Our stay here has been excellent, we will return or I will return for a relaxing day so I can go to the Bible Museum. The food was great — a little pricey — but affordable. The service here made me feel like the Queen that’s I am. It’s a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stop looking and book a room here! Everyone was nice, personable, and generous. I think we got the best room in the hotel! Corner room on the 16th floor with an amazing view! Clean room, hot shower, amazingly friendly staff! Everyone smiling and chatty :) yes parking is expensive but more than worth it! Yes there is an extra $20 room fee — worth it!

I recently stayed at the Washington Court Hotel and it was quite lovely. It was a convenient walk to an event that we had with Moms Clean Air Force. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. The beds were ridiculously comfortable. So comfortable that I didn't mind that I had a cancelled flight and had to stay an additional night. LOL! Thanks for your wonderful service!

Great hotel however since we have a service dog they place us in a room with a view of a wall and the tops of a roof. Why penalize folks that own service animals? Be aware if you own and travel with a service dog you’ll get a room with NO view. Otherwise it’s ok.

Very nice hotel in a convenient area. They add an extra $20 a day so be aware. Rooms were nice, we were in room 708 and it had extra seating, we understand some rooms did not. Very clean but could use a little updating. Wallpaper was peeling.

Overall, the building and atmosphere was fine. The impression of an upscale hotel is what you got. However, we were with a group and I must say that the staff was not helpful to any of us. The front desk messed up the rooms, then tried to charge added fees that were not ours. My room had a not so nice surprise in the sink. See added picture. I book many hotels due to my job for large events. This will be added to my no contact list.

The hotel itself is nice. Helpful staff and clean room. The area has a great view of the Capital Building, too! The surrounding area is not good. There are at least 20 loiterers outside, at all times, soliciting you as soon as they see you. It was not pleasant.

Had a great stay at the Washington Court Hotel. Check in was easy and the hotel was quiet and clean. The size of the room is perfect for two guest and the bed was comfortable, the shower was really nice also. Liked the fact they had a big bottle each of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower as well. The hotel staff was great, especially Terry Williams the Assistant Banquet Manager, truly one of the nicest persons I've ever meet. Tony E the bartender at the Federal City Bar inside the hotel was great as well. We had an all around great experience and I would stay here again no questions asked.

I really enjoyed this hotel! It is located pretty close to the US Capitol and not far from Union Station, so it has a good location for tourist-related activities. The room was very nice and housekeeping does a good job in keeping it clean. Staff are very friendly. Prices were also reasonable when I stayed here.

Loved this hotel. We where travelling as a large group and staying in various places across the u. S but this was my favourite hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful the bar staff are brilliant and gave us some free fiji water to take with us at the end of the night. The rooms are very spacious and spotless the shower is amazing you could fit 5 people in there. Overall this hotel is lovely and modern and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Would recommend it to anyone.

This is not a bad hotel, but it is not great either. The location is beyond comparison, however: a few blocks from the Capitol, Union Station, cable news network HQs, etc.
Many other reviews complained of no coffee maker — my room had a small Keurig as well as a micro fridge. The bed was oddly uncomfortable due to being too soft (for my taste) and I was most disappointed by the shower. The shower itself was very spacious and I was excited to use it until I saw the tiny, very basic shower head. It offered almost no water pressure and could not be adjusted to any different spray patterns. That is my only major complaint. My stay just didn’t feel special enough for five stars.

I like this hotel very much. The rooms are spacious and clean… the beds very comfortable. Staff is always pleasant and efficient. Be sure to ask for a room on the inside of the hotel… lots of noise from a nearby firehouse that you will find bothersome in a room with an outside view.

Excellent location for exploring the area, with Union Station, bike rentals, taxi stands, cafe's and bars all nearby. Professional looking staff and good quality room. There's a small gym too. Nothing special or outstanding about this hotel, but no real complaints either.

By and large, a positive experience at the hotel. Though, I don't feel as if I got any particular special treatment as a customer. Even after I over tipped on of the bell hop people. However, their cafe staff were excellent.

Impeccable rooms with any and all amenities you need including a lock box, refrigerator, vanity box, and handmade shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion from upstate NY. The service was absolutely FANTASTIC! The doormen always greeted me, asking me if I needed my car from the garage each time, made sure that my Uber drivers matched the license plate, and opened all car and hotel doors every time. The front desk receptionists provided the same level of care, asking me if I needed anything, striking up friendly conversations, and were just so accommodating. This was also on one of the busiest weekends during March for Our Lives! I will absolutely be staying here when I return!

Nice place to stay for the week. Good location to the hill, not far from the things you need. Breakfast is good. Bar area was nice. Rooms could use some more lights and plug ins.

A great location for seeing the sights and getting to Union station. The staff are wonderful and eager to help. However, the hotel is expensive for what it is. I paid almost $250 a night when taxes and fees were added in and This is a no frills place. Just a few TV channels, The room service closed at 2pm and I had to call for a coffee pot in my room. Also the ice machine on my floor was broken the entire week I was there. But the beds were really comfortable and I did sleep really.

Our reservation was through TravelZoo. We had 4 people on our reservation, but somehow we were only given one bed. I don't know if this is TravelZoo's or Washington Court's fault, but it was frustrating. Washington Court handled the situation as nicely as they could, since they didn't have any rooms available. They gave us a cot, which was broken, so we had to put the mattress on the floor, but it was better than nothing. The next day, they moved us to a two-bed room and took our stuff to the next room for us. We appreciated their help with this situation. The hotel is relatively nice and conveniently located near the Capitol and Union Station. There aren't many amenities, but overall it's a decent hotel. For the right price, I would come back.

What a treat my stay here was. The staff was friendly and accommodating as could be. The bed was comfortable and warm. The towels were soft. The valet parked my car in a secure facility. The bar was nicely stocked. Plus, being a short walk from the Senate and all the amazing food and drink in that vacinity just made the while experience a joy.

I stay at the hotel when I am in town on business. I love the upgrades, and the added fridge which helps when your staying longer than a day or so. It is winter time in DC and the hotel rooms are fairly cold, the rooms don’t get warmer than 74 degrees which seems hot but it isn’t. This week it’s warmer than at the top of the year, the heat needs working on with the huge office windows. Made my stay very uncomfortable sleeping in a room where I would wake up congested spitting up because the rooms aren’t ventilated. Do better! The hotel staff are horrible. I misplaced an item and was told to call back the next day. Called for three days consecutively and no answer. By the fourth day I get an answer and my item can’t be found. It was a electronic item so of course it wasn’t found. I wanted to report stolen and was told I couldn’t get any help. Piss poor customer service.

Very nice, newly remodeled rooms. Very impressed with the quality and price. We booked rooms on line through a second party website. The location is perfect if doing business near the Capital or Union Station. They have an awesome bar and their grill food is very good with reasonable prices. There is also many other food and drink options within walking distance. I would recommend Cafe Berlin, excellent German food.

The beds were very comfortable and the showers were hot and relaxing after the walks back and forth to the mall. When situations arose they were not negligent but veery attentive to help us.

This review is based on my visit back in Late August. Pretty awesome hotel. It's about 5 minutes away from Union Station with a few convenient places around such as the Union Station food court, Wal-Mart and so-on. Our room was nice and clean, very spacious too. The beds were great and there were vending machines in the hallway in the event that I wanted to get something to drink. I would've given this place a full 5-star review, but after our 5:30am arrival, one of the employees at the door was telling us that we couldn't come inside until check-in time. We didn't know until the front desk told us at check-in time that we could've came in the morning and let them put our bags in storage, so that kinda messed us up. There definitely was some miscommunication. Otherwise, pretty nice and convenient place to stay at if you can get good rates at a good price.

The hotel is located conveniently (or inconveniently, based on the traffic when you arrive) in the heart of DC. With the Capitol visible from the street, WCH offers easy access to downtown DC. The conference rooms are newly renovated and offer a great place for about 200 people to meet. Guest rooms have been refreshed but show their age; the walls are thin and hallway noise tends to drift into the room through the thin door. Overall, not a bad experience given its location and moderate to high nightly rate.

Very expansive hotel with extremely courteous staff. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The large shower is perfect. Its felt modern and comfy.

Warning: a 20$ 'service charge' is added to the room cost per day. Location is good, walkable to and fro union station and to and fro the capitol. Good Wi-Fi and nice rooms. Breakfast not included but their selection in the bistro is varied and is large in price range.

Excellent host of a conference such as what I'm involved with. Took very good care of all the attendees, and I really enjoyed the way they have great customer service. Food was excellent.

A night with friends… This started poorly; the concierge managed to lock the keys in the car before we had completed check in. AAA locksmith to the rescue ;) The hotel is beaut; the large atrium gives an almost open air feeling, the bar and restaurants share the space (there is heaps to spare). We had room 1605 (top floor, facing New Jersey Avenue) ; what none of the adds tell you is that Engine Company 03 of the DCFD is less than 200 yards down the street (right out front of the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill). OK, the engines only turned out three times through the night; if you don't wake to sirens you won't have any problems (otherwise bring your ear plugs; or ensure you do not have New Jersey! ) The bar was beaut (and obliging) we got back just after he had called last drinks, and got served with a smile. Now, I don't know who the room maid was that knocked on our door at 0833 (twice) and proceeded to open the door  (with the "Do Not Disturb" sign correctly positioned in the slot when I eventually did look to the miscreant) ; we were not happy! OK, so we could do with an early start with more museums to see; we did breakfast (the Omelette was tremendous) and got to our days purpose. The concierge held our bags and car both until 1700 without any additional charge. Thanks mate… Room Tip: Stay away from any room fronting on to New Jersey Avenue; the siren noise is to die for!

This has been one of the worst hotels for the price. No refridgerator, no microwave, ice machine on floor was broken, no breakfast. I requested extra cream for the room so I could make coffee, instead I received only one. The maid moved the note to the side. The coffee pot was also dirty and once I made coffee it had something floating. Overall, the room was not worth the money paid. If I had to give it any positive review it would be location.

Great hotel. Rooms are nice. Didn't come with a fridge or microwave though. Also you don't get complimentary Wi-Fi in your room which I don't like.

Pretty nice place. Internet is a little a Spotty and definitely slow. Not a ton of stuff to do nearby in terms of restaurants and bars but you are close to the capitol. Beds are possibly the most comfortable hotel beds I ever used. Staff was polite, helpful. Rooms are a good size. Everything in the bathroom is good. Didn't use valet.

Worst front desk ever! When I check-in at 5 pm, the staff told me that the room was not ready, and let me wait almost half hour. Wired port not working at room. Wi-Fi need to buy, $10.99 for basic, and $19.99 for high speed. But when I try to connect and buy the Wi-Fi, it shows error messages all the time, and I have try for several times. After that, I call the technical support, but no one answered. The front desk also have nothing but long wait. Definitely not worth the price!

Just a two night stay was enough time to have a pretty bad experience: 1. Business room charges for everything it offers; internet use, printing, etc. I was on the internet for 15 minutes and printed 15 pages and it cost me $40. Ridiculous. 2. House keeping came into the room while I was taking a nap even though I had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. 3. Phone didn't work. Had to use my cell to call the front desk for room service. 4. Apparently no room service after 2:00pm. You want to eat in your room you've got to order it at the bar and go get it yourself to bring it up to your room. You can't even order any other form of outside delivery, because they won't let anyone up to your room. These are little things but they add up and it's enough to ensure that I won't be returning to this hotel in the future.

Great location and nice rooms. Tall gentleman with British accent delivered good customer service. The only female working the check-in desk is a good example of bad customer service. Hotel should invest in grooming her skills or better yet get rid of her. Having encountered her was like finding a hair in your delicious plate of pasta. It ruins the experience.

The suite was pitiful, old, worn furniture, no amenities, only a small refrigerator, coffee machine and that's it, so you have to buy everything to have in the suite (cups, napkins, cutlery, etc. ) from the nearby Walmart. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom left a lot to be desired.
We scheduled a breakfast for 100 people the morning after the wedding, we were told of the options for catering, and finally against our better judgment we signed a contract for a very basic continental (bagels, fruit, coffee, butter, juice) for $34 a person plus 23% service charge. When we arrived 4 days before the breakfast we realized that they have a full breakfast buffett in their restaurant for $16 a person, so we wanted to change to offer our guests more choices, and to those that will not eat carbohydrates, etc)
Only to find out after long struggling that even though the hotel have not incurred in any expenses that we were not allowed to change, because we signed a contract, few weeks before, without being properly advised of the choices. The only manager (Labor weekend) available was a lay with the first name Lisa that was the most unreasonable manager that I have ever dealt with, she lied to make her point, and even though our request was reasonable, she keep repeating that we signed a contract, the hotel has not incurred expenses until then.

Very unpleasant experience: we stayed at the WCH for five days. There was no room service for two days, and I had to "steal" toilet paper as the housekeeping did not refill it. The food was very poor as well, the staff unfriendly. How can you even mess up a hot chocolate?
We payed 250 dollars for an executive room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I can't give this hotel anything but five stars. Every February I go to a conference that is hosted in this hotel. We take over the whole thing, selling out every room (plus other floors in nearby hotels), and the staff work their ass off for us, every time. The bar is always three deep, and the bartenders hustle to get food and drinks to everyone (looking at you Tony! ). The lobby is spacious enough for all of us to move about and socialize. There are plenty of rooms for all kinds of events/classes/ and meeting. The rooms are nice and spacious, clean and well-lit, check-in and out is easy and fast, and everyone makes the effort to make you feel welcome. It is close to the capital building and everything DC has to offer. Charging for Wi-Fi is not cool, not cool at all and that is one star off. Otherwise, great place. In the middle of remodel and what I have seen so far is awesome.

I love that this. Place wasn't on a busy street really so it wasn't noisy at night. The only grievances I had was the $46 for parking and charging if you wanted to use their Wi-Fi, which was $10.99 for low speed and $ 19.99 for high speed! Needless to say, I didn't use the Wi-Fi and thought that was cheap of them to charge it's guests but I will stay here again because it was in walking distance of everything.

Tl;dr — Hotel overpriced and severely lacking in quality. Book elsewhere. My wife and I came to DC for the weekend. We got this hotel for its proximity to the national mall. It wasn't worth the $85 sale price at all. As many people have pointed out, the price for valet parking is crazy. It's over half the price of the room just to park for the night. We are also fairly young which made us feel out of place among the older businessy people in the lobby, as well as the staff who, while friendly, seemed irritated that we weren't dressed up. The room seemed nice at first but that facade quickly fell away. There was no fridge or microwave. The heat did not seem to work at all. Our bathroom light was going out and constantly flickering so we moved a lamp to the room instead. The alarm was already set but due to other reviews I checked it right away so it didn't wake us up. Our toilet also didn't flush without holding down the lever for about a minute. Oddly enough the shower temperature was labeled wrong — pushing the temperature towards cold turned it hot and vice versa. Wi-Fi is also an extra fee, so be aware of that. There's no channel guide in the room either. The ice machine on our floor had no ice and the vending machine was out of bottled water. Please be aware that there are also no food vending machines. They sell over priced candy and a few other munchies in their gift shop to make up for this.

If you are cold natured; DO NOT pursue this hotel. No heat from 1st floor to 11th floor. Worst heating system ever. I have stayed in a lot of hotels; this one has beautiful décor; friendly staff however, It has NO HEAT; stayed on the 11th floor; cool air blowing thru the heat system the entire time. Even the receptionists walk around with arms folded trying to stay warm. Bring your own heater or stay away.

This hotel is a few minutes walk from Union Terminal, and I can't imagine looking any further for accommodations in DC. This place has it all: a friendly welcome, pleasant staffing, beautifully appointed rooms with clean, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and nice amenities like a coffee maker and luxurious bath products. If you desire more space beyond your room, the hotel lobby has comfortable seating under a glass ceiling for natural light and 30 minutes free Wi-Fi (in public spaces — you pay for in-room Wi-Fi). Within walking distance of major landmarks and bus routes to the far regions of Washington.
